Hi all

sorry for delay in posting. Only got out of hospital last Sunday as diddy lost too much weight and was too lazy for feeds. So came home the Friday night and was readmitted Saturday after a mw visit to our house. Grrrrr so all this week we have had to see a mw every 2 days for monitoring. Which is hard work making apps, on Saturday they made us go to the hospital at 10.30!!!!! Boooooohooooo!
Anyway she is now 6lb 15 so not too far to go. She is feeding loads now and pooing for England, so I think our feeding problems are over... She is just a bit lazy

Don't really have any horrid birthing details as went in for induction nice and soft and they could insert one finger. Presume this must of been slightly dilated And then by 24 hrs later they have fiddled that much I had closed back up but getting contractions that were painful. they said I was in what they class as false labour... Could only bloody happen to me! So by 3pm on the Tuesday they decided enough was enough and sectioned me!! I was quite relieved as some of the noises coming from the delivery suites were quite distressing! I went in all happy and chuffed I was going to give birth but after a few hours of listening to women screaming I started to poo my pants

C section was ok, was a bit scared but the labour was really calm and they played music and everyone was chatting... A lot calmer than naturally! They got the baby out in about 5 mins.... Then spent about 40 mins stitching me up. It's been quite painful to get back on my feet asap, the mophine was great but also made me spaced out. Most painful bit was going to the loo. Passed out twice getting a shower and had to be wheeled through the ward In a towel and a plastic chair back to my bed... Slightly embarrassing! They then moved me to my own room as I was so sleep deprived by all the screaming babies.. Jezus some babies can cry! Mostly the big fat ones
anyway feeling loads better now and Diddy is great. She is really good In the day and a bit of a monkey at night oh well it's all part of the fun. When I have 5 mins I will set up a profile and add some pics. Really want u guys to see her xxxx

Gilly fab news on ur app and securing ur next app!!! Woooohooo

Nomore - u back off holiday yet???? Detail!!! Bet it was amazing!!!

Love to everyone and thanks for kind messages
xxxxx Rah and Diddy xxxxx

Good news that you and Diddy (aww so cute ) are home Rah. I too had a lazy feeder - he ended up having 9 heel pricks in 36 hours as they were all flapping about his blood sugar level. Well he was just lazy really and every time he started sucking he fell asleep - being born is a tiring business!

Sorry to gate crash you lovely ladies again but so excited to see an update from Rah

Also I just stumbled across this and I thought you wonderful TTC gals here might like it too - it brought a tear to my eye. It is a bit cheesy american country stuff but heartfelt nevertheless and I have always wondered why more people don't write/sing etc about TTC and FTC.

Sending positive vibes to all of you waiting and trying and special big babydust wafting waves to gilly and nomore

My DH is all into cheesy American country things, so I can't bear to click on that link!

Hello ladies! So glad to hear about Diddy and you too Rah. You sound relaxed even about the monkey in the middle of the night. Good for you!

I've just started a more aggressive round of meds for the next IUI - so (fingers crossed) this will be the ONE!

Waves to all!

Hi all, I think I have set up a profile correctly. Put a link on there with some pictures of Daisy Tallulah
I hope u like!!

I have health visitor at 2pm today and mw any time this afternoon. I reckon she could be up to birth weight now! She seems massive compared to how big she was. Plus having some feeding issues still as she is content staying on my boobs for about 2hrs at a time... They are pigging killing!! I think she is using it as a comfort but has a real paddy if I take her off! How can a 16 day old baby have a temper??? Crazy!!

Right better go as it's nearly 2

Hope everyone is well and is ok with the heat.., thanks seaside for popping in. I need to make it over to the other thread crazy how time just flies!!

seaside72 · 02/07/2009 20:38

Oh Rah - pics are gorgeous - she is adorable xxx

herbaceous · 03/07/2009 16:45

Just nipping back to see how y'all are doing, and now feel all emotional over the Daisy pics. She's GORGEOUS.

I'm actually overdue now - at 40+ 5. Not quite sure what he's waiting for, but he gets all lively whenever the crowd cheer Andy Murray on the telly, so maybe he's just waiting for him to make us all praaad on Saturday. If not, I've got an induction booked next week. Boo.

Off to get my daily ice cream. Medical necessity in this heat...

Hiya gilly I was just wondering today if you'd had any more news on your next cycle Glad it's going ahead, and Aug will be here before we know it.
Ready and Herby glad you're keeping cool, it must be really hard being so heavily pg in this weather! Can't believe all these babies are arriving so close together, I hadn't really appreciated how close the dates before now.

Why can't I see Rah's pictures?

Ready · 06/07/2009 13:11

KD, cut and paste the link into your web browser and it will take to the pics

Nomore, yep feeling ok in the weather, have had my moments.

Gilly, still here, still waiting

Herby, hope you had a fruitful weekend

herbaceous · 06/07/2009 16:36

Hello!

Weekend not fruitful! He got very excitable whenever the crowd cheered in the Wimbledon final, but not excited enough to actually come out and have a look. Now 40+8, so looks like my booked induction for tomorrow night will go ahead. It would appear I'll be having a baby by the end of the week, which I STILL can't believe. Me? A baby you say?

Ready · 06/07/2009 17:35

Ditto on the wriggling during the final. Was hopeful of an arrival here, but nothing, nada, zilch
Hope all goes well with your induction tomorrow, very exciting times Herb - hope things go swiftly and pain free - yeah right . Looking forward to hearing all about it.

kd73 · 06/07/2009 22:22

Good luck herb, keep us updated!

Thanks Ready, will try it now!

kd73 · 06/07/2009 22:26

Oh Rah, she is absolutely beautiful .

chocolatedays · 07/07/2009 16:01

Hi all!

Gilly - redundancy is ok - got my head round it now.

Completely understand how tough you're finding recovery after the 1st IVF attempt. It hit me real hard too - and I had to have a few hedonistic boozin' sessions to cut loose and had a number of heavy chats with dh and a few mates about the baby dream. It was cathartic and helped me and dh agree how many IVFs we were willing to do, I found that helped take the pressure off the 2nd go a bit.

Great you get 2 IVFs from the NHS - to me it is another reminder on how rare succes at the first attempt is. Stick at it babe - there is no reason to give up on the dream as you responded very well to the treatment (better than I did!). The prog injections were ok. I had most done at the hosp - and some by the nurse at my gp, dh learnt how to do them towards the end of the time. I'm not squimish and did the other injections myself but these are a little deeper - but ok, honest. I'll do them again if/when we go for it.
Feel free to ask any qu's. Have you got a timing to start next go?

READY and HERBY:
My ddd was 1 yesterday and I was saying to dh how glad I was last year's July was such rubbish weather (I was one big mum-to-be!) - hope the turn in the weather has helped you.

Hope you enjoy the birth - they can be amazing - (I was one of the lucky ones!)

Rah - your pics took my back - Daisy is soo sweet - CONGRATS again.
Assume you have Lanisoh for your nips? You can as to speak to the lactation specialist at the hospital if you feel it is still not quite right.

Hi and love to everyone else

Choc XX

AppleAndBlackberry · 07/07/2009 16:24

Lovely photo's Rah . Hope you're settling in well and enjoying her!

36 weeks here so there could still be another 6 weeks to go for me... She's the right way up but not engaged or anything so I don't think it's imminent.

Looking forward to hearing from Ready and Herby!

Gilly - great to hear that you've finally got a second date for IVF. I really hope this is the one.

No didn't see her - but have a wonderful friend who life coaches and tragically is infertile through cancer - she is an incredibly positive life force and helped me enourmously

Ready · 08/07/2009 13:57

Happy Birthday for Monday MiniChoc What did you do to celebrate?

Gilly - I spent many hours crying over letting DH down, but that was silly. No one is letting anyone down. Big hugs, please stop putting so much pressure on yourself and laying blame on yourself. Be strong and positive. xx

Hope everyone is doing well.

Looking forward to hearing from Herby
