That's brilliant news bucky will it be your first ivf? If so feel free to ask questions I've only done one cycle and it was over a year ago but I'm happy to try to answer any questions you might have. I remember asking so many questions!

Nice to 'see' you both
I'm still really not going to let myself believe it until - well until we're actually doing the IVF cycle really. Really feel this is too good to be true there's got to be a catch somewhere....

So I'm talking to myself here but I don't care...my PCT have changed their rules and I'm hopefully going to get another 2 NHS funded IVF cycles! Not counting my chickens just yet as I'm still convinced that someone will pull the rug out from under me but...

Hi Rah lovely to see you, I was only wondering the other day how you were getting on Haven't heard back yet about the PCT changing the funding/criteria but hopefully I will soon. Have been trying not to get my hopes up too much but am quite excited that there might be another NHS go for us. Even if it's not NHS funded we're hoping to get a cycle in before the end of the year.

Good luck. I thought you may be lucky as mine is either 3 cycles or 6 transfers depending how many eggs they collect. I am in Hertfordshire.

Hi Bucky I have been doing some googling and according to the guardian website my PCT now offer 3 goes, rather than the one I was given. I will try to find out more from my gp, thank you so much

Hi All

I have dropped in here in the past but didn't stick around for long from memory so you may not remember me .

I was just lurking on the last few posts and wondered, NoMore Where in the country are you? The rules for IVF changed in June of this year in some counties and I wondered how/if that would affect you?

FYI - I have been here forever too. Joined the first time in May 2006! How sad is that!! And no, still no dc! Probably the same story as most people, unexplained infertility, L&D, HSG, Clomid and now waiting for IVF.

Bucky xx

I can see your profile now, but there's no link to your photos, sorry. What I did was make one photo (of my cats) a public photo then made my other photos mumsnet mates only. Can you try that?

hiya A&B I can't see your profile, sorry. I think you have to make it public and then you can choose for your pics to mumsnet mates only, then list us as your mates

Ok - I think I've put the name and a photo on my profile, but it's a private profile so I'm not exactly sure if I've done it right. Can someone let me know? The people on this thread should all be able to see it.

My labour started with my waters breaking, but they had meconium in so we went straight to hospital. It was about 17 hours end to end, but not really painful for about the first 5 or 6 because the contractions were coming fairly slowly. At some point I had syntocinon to get them going and then I started on the gas and air and it's a bit of a blur from there! I actually can't believe how painful it was - it's true that no-one can describe it to you. Anyway I got to the second stage and was pushing for about 45 minutes, but her heart rate was dropping too much with the contractions so suddenly the room was full of people and I had an episiotomy and ventouse delivery to get her out quickly. Then I lost over a litre of blood as the placenta didn't detatch straight away. She had to be resuscitated a little bit but she was fine and looked really unscathed and breastfed for about an hour after they had stitched me up!

The first week has been a bit of a blur too but I'm starting to feel like a person again. Breastfeeding is going well so far and she's just amazing!
