Hi all,
yes I hope that this is a big move forward for you Rainbow.

Mowmi, Hi! I'm just packing, just a rucksack because the suitcase was 3kg without anything inside and the weight limit is 10kg.
Off early tomorrow and back late Tuesday.
I did get OV pains on Friday day and night, but gone now and have started progesterone.
Here we go again!

mowmi · 18/07/2010 16:00

Best of luck - I'll give my lucky scarab beetle a rub for you tonight!
(I know it's bollocks but I got pregnant a couple of weeks after someone gave it to me whilst in Egypt!)

X

rowingboat · 19/07/2010 18:52

Well I'm finally here - long story! The transfer is tomorrow morning, then back to the airport! Two flights and home at midnight tomorrow, wah!

gonepearshaped · 20/07/2010 09:28

Rowing OOH that is exciting, thinking of you and excited for you and hoping everything goes really well this morning.

Yes! home test good plan, no excuses that way. As for my fsh I have feeling this is what happened last time, I had a test at some random point in the month, levels were super high and my then gp said well thats it then, game over.

I'm going to go back and ask for day3 and 20 tests just to make sure. Got accupunture later today and herbalist on Saturday, oddly looking forward to both.

Thank you my dear, for such good advice (not forgetting G & T & cake) when you've had so much of your own to think about.

rowingboat · 21/07/2010 21:32

Hi all,

GPS I'm glad you are getting the tests redone, they aren't very helpful otherwise. Even if the FSH levels come back as high, it doesn't mean it is the end. Did you see on the forties thread, one of the ladies on there had a high FSH result and has just got a bfp.

So I'm back and feeling OK, but I think all the flying has pooped-up my ear a bit and I feel a bit queasy - or it's morning sickness, but that would be a bit premature as I only had the transfer yesterday.
Good luck with 'the test' [knowing look, taps side of nose]

Rainbow how are you?

LOTGK how are things?

Mowmi thank you for the scarab thingy, hope it works for me.

gonepearshaped · 23/07/2010 14:56

Sorry about the ear Rowing That's been going on for ages hasn't it, hope yr feeling better today. Hope the frosticles are settling in nicely

rowingboat · 23/07/2010 18:21

Thanks GPS how are things with you? Any more clarity on where you will be living in the next 12 months?
I don't have much to report on the frosties, not much happening, this is day 3, so they would probably have implanted, or not by now.
Bit boring really, have been here so many time already, but trying to visualise a positive test whenever I feel a bit resigned or start planning the next move.
Very volatile all the hormones though, taking progesterone makes me feel a bit of a rage. Should had heard me in the car.

gonepearshaped · 29/07/2010 14:32

Hey Rowing Things are ok at the moment, just trundling along going to accupuncture and the herbalist and hoping that af turns up this weekend so then at least I'd be on a semi normal cycle length.Going camping with DS from tomorrow, will be lovely.

How's things with you then? so you should be on day 10? when can you test? I can see what you mean about having been through it all so many times before, maybe that's good - I mean if you are a bit blase then at least you aren't worrying yourself senseless over it.

Hmm, progesterone rage is that like roid rage only with more swearing? Have a good weekend then dear, thinking of you and the frosties

gonepearshaped · 29/07/2010 14:33

Ohh forgot to say, the people in Italy still sorting out administration issues so the whole thing's still up in the air - driving me a bit mad to be honest - I guess its a distraction from other stuff though

mowmi · 30/07/2010 15:06

Hi Rowing - how you doing? hoping your little frosties are settling down nicely! How many did you have transfered?
Sorry I've not been on sooner - been mental with builders and then Harry's little welcome to the world party...

Rainbow how you doing?

Hello to everyone else x

rowingboat · 11/08/2010 21:20

Hi everyone,
sorry should have come back and let you all know what happened.
The transfer went OK, it was quick and I was on the flight home the same day. Unfortunately, even though the embryo implanted, it stopped growing so the transfer didn't work out.
I am feeling quite sad now because it was the last of our embryos and I won't be undergoing IVF again, so we are now moving on to donor embryos. Haven't even had time to think about it, just starting the whole process again, and I feel absolutely drained and exhausted.
DP has gone very quiet.

theteasonme · 12/08/2010 22:40

Is anyone still around in here?

galwaygal · 13/08/2010 08:13

theteasonme - I'm here, I am r'days in a different disguise. Are you ok?

rowingboat · 13/08/2010 18:27

I'm here too! Teasonme are you new?
I am in between fertility treatment and it's a all a bit much so this is a good place to come.
We had our last two embryos transferred and they did their best, but didn't grow so it's all a bit sad and feels quite 'endy' because we won't be using our own gene pool after this.
We are going to be trying donor egg/sperm due to age and my blocked and damaged tubes.
What is your situation?

Galway it's funny calling you a different name. How are things? Did you get the other tests done yet?

LOTGK are you looking in?

GPS how's tricks? Are you moving soon?

galwaygal · 13/08/2010 19:58

Hi Rowing, I got my results, all normal except the TEG clotting one, so on asprin from positive test (yesterday!), not relying on this current one as tests staying very very faint over last three days. When do you start on the next stage? Is it a couple of months? Sorry the last frosties did not make it. Sad

I think LOTGK might be not coming this way again. But I have been pleased to read that she is at peace with stopping ttc now. I will miss her being around the hut.

theteasonme · 13/08/2010 22:02

Hi ladies, I'm an old timer but had to name change as was outed in RL. I'm just in the process of being fobbed off by the FC so feeling a bit down. Haven't gone through a fraction of what some of you ladies have so feel a bit of a fraud but am now at the point of wanting to scream at / shake each pregnant friend as they make their big announcement. It's been 12 months now and I've just been told I'm polycystic but they're not going to do anything about it. Grr!

rowingboat · 13/08/2010 22:18

Hi all,

Galway, ooo, that sounds interesting about the clotting test. I have read that is quite a common cause of miscarriage, on the many TTC threads I have joined. SO you have a bfp, with the aspirin this could be good, couldn't it!
I didn't really 'get' the thing about the window for implantation, are the consultants doing anything about that?

TTOM I always feel a bit funny giving information on here, it wouldn't take a genius to figure out who I am. I suppose it just takes being on the wrong thread at the right time.
Don't want to do the old 'my friend was polycystic' which I'm sure you get a lot, BUT my friend went on a very low-sugar diet and conceived her son. She also has some other issues though, something to do with platelets, which means she is always cold. Not sure how that could have impacted on her ability to conceive.

I do sympathise with you, it was so hard when we were still TTC au naturelle, every month was stressful. We had to have sex at the right time or one of us would be upset, which isn't very conducive to actually doing anything.

I am feeling sad, but haven't got time to dwell because school goes back next week and the whole Summer seems to have been taken up with the last FET, so I am now panic buying school uniform. On top of this DP is really not talking about much, I think the pressure is really getting to him.

LOTGK I'm glad you are at peace with your decision, you did sound so unhappy, that's no way to live life, and there is a lot of life to live.

rowingboat · 08/09/2010 18:58

'Ello ello ello! What's going on here?
Anybody with any news?
Galway?
TTOM?

galwaygal · 11/09/2010 23:08

nothing happening here! What about you rowing?

rowingboat · 12/09/2010 18:01

Hi all,

Galway, have you had all the tests now? I am probably going senile, but did you still have to have thyroid?
Is anything being done to change the 'window' which is currently very large and has been left open accidentally? Smile

I have had a funny cycle, last one was only 21 days and this cycle I seem to have ovulated at day 10, so hmm! Not really going to work for flying out to a foreign country.
I have emailed my two possible clinics to say I am going to wait until the end of October, mainly to get back into a normal pattern.
Have been doing 20 mins on my exercise bike every day, very slowly, like an old vicar, but still, it's something isn't it!
Will be in tip top form for the embryos, she says hopefully.

galwaygal · 12/09/2010 19:37

Rowing - it must be something wierd with a new moon or something, as my cycle last month was only 19 days, ov'd on day 10 too I thought. I just blamed it on a post-m/c hormonal blip!

I had all the tests including the thyroid one and all came back negative. All except the pregnant clotting one that showed raised levels so I have now been told 150mg asprin daily from positive test.

I am theoretically trying to get fit and lose a few pounds at the moment, but in reality, just being a bit lazy with the odd occasion of exercise! But am going to get massage for relaxation and relief of muscle tension. Hoping this will help!

Hope you get your cycle sorted and continue with your cycling for fitness! Sure the next clinic session will go well.

It is funny that this thread is so quiet at the moment, hope that means that everyone else is having a positive time at the moment and in no need of the hut!

rowingboat · 13/09/2010 15:15

Hi all,

Galway, that IS peculiar isn't it - the 10 day thing!
I do think the exercise bike thing is helping, I drag it in front of the telly and watch something, whilst obsessively checking the clock to see if I can stop yet. The moment I reach 20 minutes I am off of it like the seat is on fire.
Only problem is I'm still eating cake, so better toned, but it's all under a layer of lard. Smile
Have you had a bfp this cycle?

Re the hut, it may have slipped down too far in 'Conception' for people to see it, but hopefully they are all doing better.

galwaygal · 14/09/2010 23:53

I am currently in waiting for ov, think it might have been today, but will know in next couple of days.

Well done on the cycling, even if it is will clock-watching and all that, it is better than my pathetic attempts at pretending to do exercise!!! Grin
