Morning all, just off to work, trying to formulate a believable excuse as to why I'm going to be useless. I might go with a "sprained wrist" or maybe "back ache" (works for getting out of heavy lifting). Maybe "aliens stole my brain and replaced it with jelly" would be more appropriate!

Don't work too hard Barbie!

bluesatinsash · 31/05/2009 09:29

Fantastic news gracie - congratulations !!!! Here's another hand to squeeze .

How hot is it??!!! Its only 9.30am and I'm sweltering already.

cupcakefairy · 31/05/2009 16:22

Oh moon how horrible for you you must be terrified but try to relax. There is nothing you can do and tomorrow they will be able to tell you for sure. A lot of women bleed in the first 12 weeks and go on to have healthy pregnancies.
Really feel for you, my hand is here too! xxx

We went to a friend's birthday bbq last night. Was meant to be adults only but 3 people still brought babies, and 2 v pregnant ladies there as well. Literally all they talked about all evening was pregnancy; it even drove my dh mad and h's usually v easygoing! Thankfully my best friend was there too to drag me away from the conversation when it got down to describing in detail the babies' movements... meh

How was work Gracie? Hope everyone's enjoying sunshine...think I've managed to get burnt already! Suggested bd out in the garden to dh but he was having none of it, haha! How did you get on Iggy?

MummyLovesSadie · 31/05/2009 17:24

Oh Moon take my hand too. Really feeling for you right now. I hope everything works out ok, like Cupcake said, lots of women bleed in the first weeks & it turns out ok.

MummyLovesSadie · 31/05/2009 18:33

SabsBigPants · 31/05/2009 19:04

moon just wanted to add that im thinking of you and hope all goes well tomorrow. Will be thinking of you. Here's another hand to hold should you want it....

BlueMoon1981 · 31/05/2009 20:48

mls its still brown, same amount, no worse but not stopping. i've calmed down a bit now, i guess what will be will be. but i'm still scared. thank you all for being here, and i'm really sorry to the new bfp-ers, don't mean to scare you or take your moments from you.

anniebigpants · 31/05/2009 20:53

Moon darling, how are you. Im sorry to read here you are bleeding, how terrifying for you. I really hope the scan gives you good news. I know you will think the worse, but it really could be nothing. Im thinking of you and praying its good news for you tomorrow.

mermaidspurse · 31/05/2009 21:00

oh goodness don't know where to start -
bluemoon I can imagine your terror and the feelings of complete and utter out of controlness. Don't go hairing around this evening doing Sunday night stuff. Feet firmly up and try (who are any of us kidding) not to get too tied up in knots of fear. I so remember vjaywaddlepants in her first weeks with spotting and worry and she is in her 3rd trimester. I know that does'nt necessarily help but it sometimes helps to settle raw nerves for a wee bit. So thinking of all 3 of you.xxx

gracie wohho give yourself a big shiny star please fit in a bit of relaxing amongst looking after all those patients.xxx

I seem to have turned into a big freckle and a pretty bad tempered one at that. Consequently my garden looks bare and dh is sitting at the top of the garden with a beer playing with a fire men never really grow up do they!

I think I ovulated before day 8 - how can that be? shouted loudly at the heavens in a drama queen soprano and a lot of foot stamping.

Hope everyone else is ok as can be and big pant ladies are not suffering too much in the heat and medium pant ladies are relaxing and small pant ladies are enjoying a large glass of wine

Curlywurleelittlepants · 31/05/2009 21:13

Oh Moon I know it's hard but try not panic honey. We need VJ here to hold your hand too as she went through this so many times in the early stages. And now she is in the third trimester. Brown blood is often ok. What time is your scan tomorrow? I am at home all day so if you need to chat, I'll make sure I log in as soon as I get up.

How did Southend go Sabs? I spent the weekend in Cambridge by the river, lots of eating and drinking and lounging around, it was just lovely

Hey graciegirl, hope you didn't work too hard today!!! You need to get your feet up and let us take care of you

iggy lbs and cupcake it's time to march DPs to bed (or the garden )

Annie so pleased you had a good nuchal. Can you post any photos of your beanette - I still think it's a girl

barbie how is my cycle buddy doing? I am symptom spotting like crazy. I have the most fabulous boobs ever at the moment and also have this weird thing with my nasal passages being a bit swollen. It's an unusual symptom but I got both times I was pregnant. I'm trying to hold out testing till Friday

Big waves to Neeko blue MM MLS scorpio mrskate and everyone else

Curlywurleelittlepants · 31/05/2009 21:17

Hello lovely mermaid, I took so long to write my post that I crossposted and missed you

I'm off to google early ovulation!

Curlywurleelittlepants · 31/05/2009 21:25

Mermaid it seems people can have random cycles and Day 8 isn't that weird. Did you get a chance to BD?

mermaidspurse · 31/05/2009 21:27

hey you too gorgeous curly Cambridge is lovely, I miss it went to school near there.
Those sound good symptons, will so keep my fingers crossed.

GracieGirl · 31/05/2009 21:29

Moon I'm so sorry to hear you are bleeding, put your feet up and I hope the time flies until your scan tomorrow. Hold my hand and we can be scared to death together.

MrsKate you are just lovely!!!

Thanks Blue and Mermaid. I'm still pretending it isn't happening. Though just did another test just to check and its still BFP.

Work has been a nightmare - I think just about everyone within a 10 mile radius came in with various pregnancy problems today, really not what I needed. Only had to hide in the office and cry three times which is pretty good really. The sister in charge of the night shift called in sick and I'm on the day again tomorrow. I couldn't get anyone to come in and be in charge. My boss's suggestion was that I did all 3 shifts myself and tried to get a few hours sleep if it got quiet!! When exactly does it get quiet in A&E??!!!!!!! That would be a 37 hour shift, does she think I'm superwoman?!
Normally I'm stupid enough to agree to 20 hour shifts when we're really stuck so she was a bit surprised when I put my foot down at 14 hours and left! So if anyone gets ill tonight pick another hospital there's no sister at mine! The sister is going to bed to protect her little Bean.

GracieGirl · 31/05/2009 21:30

x-posted Mermaid and Curly

BlueMoon1981 · 31/05/2009 21:32

i need to grow a few extra hands for you all to hold but thank you so much it means a lot.

curly my scan is at 1.30pm, i'm going to try and have a lie in tomorrow as i didn't sleep last night (luckily i am on holiday mon and tues from work) and keep myself busy til scan time. i will let you know how i get on when i'm back.

littlebellsmum · 31/05/2009 21:34

Hello Ladies
moon - just rest and fingers crossed that tomorrow brings good news. That is much easier for me to say than for you to do, I know.
mermaid - I know just what you mean about men and fire, my dh is exactly the same. He's clearly growing up though - put going for a bath ahead of building a fire tonight!
Curlee - Symptoms sound promising but as I've said before not symptom spotting is the way to go as otherwise you get doubly pissed off when the EW gets you!! Or maybe that's just me...
MrsKate - good to hear you being more positive - as Gracie is showing, there is hope for us all!!
Annie - love the new name, you brave lady you!

Hope everyone has enjoyed the lovely sunny day - it was even sunny in Surrey ( unlike Easter!). Hello to all the other lovely ladies

GracieGirl · 31/05/2009 21:36

Moon I'll share a hand.

MrsKate text me tomorrow and let me know how Moon is cos I'll be worrying about her at work and can't get on Mumsnet.

littlebellsmum · 31/05/2009 21:36

Cross posted with everyone - gracie - good on you for saying no. Say no, even when you haven't got a bean to protect as otherwise they will keep asking you!

mermaidspurse · 31/05/2009 21:39

curly I can't remember if I did or not... thank you for looking I would have convinced myself I had 7 different ailments and early menopause if I had started googling.

blue good girl and thank goodness you have some time off work. I will hold a big toe if you are not ticklish.

gracie horlicks and bed for you.

Curlywurleelittlepants · 31/05/2009 21:49

I hope you get a good nights sleep moon though I know that will be really hard. I'll be holding your hand all the while - I can do one handed typing.

littlebellsmum I know I shouldn't but I can't help it
