OP posts:
Neeko · 10/06/2009 15:52

Sorry you're sad 4ever but it's good to remember as it helps them to live on in our hearts and minds. Maybe in some perverse way your miscarriages were a way of God giving your dad the grandkids he deserved. Take care!

4everhopeful · 10/06/2009 16:03

Ahh thanks Neeko that is exactly what we have said, but its got to the stage now we're like 'cmon dad, dont be greedy, you got enough now, let us have some!' Cheers tho girls Its exactly that, not overly sad, just like to remember!

Anyway off home now to get ready for this concert, hmm BD now or later, or both?!?!

Night night girls xxxxxxxxxx

MrsKate · 10/06/2009 16:05

4ever that so sad about your dad . big hugs xxxx

bluesatinsash · 10/06/2009 16:34

Hi All,

Still at work but didn't get a lunch break (although did eat massive roll) so not feelng too guilty about sneaky post.

Moon - thinking of you today and hoping its all going OK and you'll be home soon.

oh 4ever - hope you enjoy your concert, your Dad sounded like one of life's good uns . Bet he's up there rooting for you.. Happy bd!

Vjay - for you and your funding being withdrawn. Don't get me started on those who abuse the system versus geniune cases - . Is there no chance of appeal? Our cousin's wee boy has Downs and her carer's funding was slashed but they successfully appealed...

Barbie - hope the next 20 days go quickly. It is good to keep busy during the early weeks, saves the fretting and paranoia, well it at least gives you less time to it all..

Jools - hope you've made it to Wales and will be relaxing in your room soon. Have you and your DP sat down and had a good honest talk about everything that has happened and your hopes for the future? Does he want a baby? I'm sorry if that sounds blunt but it breaks my heart that you've been so disappointed the last two months .

Sabs - have a lovely holiday and so sorry to hear about your DH's Nan's brother.

I think Scorpio has decamped to ante-natal!

Keeping everything crossed for the nearing the end of the 2wwers.

Sorry for lack of invidual posts, eyes crossing and brain a bit retarded today x

hopingalways · 10/06/2009 16:48

Thanks for making me welcome ladies! Though hoping we all get to follow Scorpio off to ante-natal soon.

4ever so sorry to hear about your losses, it sounds like you've had a rough few years

Vjay that's such a shame that the funding that's supposed to help is giving you grief!

mermaid thank you for asking, I am actually doing really well and feeling quite optimistic that things will turn out how we'd like. In no small part because everyone here is being a) very brave and b)very supportive!

I'm still trying to follow your stories to get to know you, but I look forward to getting to know you better

MrsKate · 10/06/2009 16:50

hi and welcome to hoping sorry for yor loss we are all here for you . xxxxx

VJaybigpants · 10/06/2009 17:40

hi hoping and welcome you're in good company here
blue I can't appeal because it's just standard practice, never mind

I've calmed down loads now, I'm sitting here eating the last of mermaids watercress soup, it's so yummy

mermaidspurse · 10/06/2009 17:54

I like it when people come round cos it is really nice to have a clean desk with no coffee rings on it
then the computer man came and super charged my computer yehhhee and much to his amusement removed a fair bit of dust and rubble from computer and all the bits I had tidied around

right 4ever you have gone home by now but lots of love anyway - so many losses it is a wonder how us/people/everyone manages.
Hoep you had/have a good time tonight at the concert.

vjay they seem to give the disability for x months and when the household has gotten used to it take it all away. I can't see their logic, autism does not improve in the terms of the money they award. I know that here in Cornwall the appeal is in Cardiff or somewhere equally mad and how the hell are you meant to get there to appeal looking after a dc who need you?
hope you are feeling less tired even with all this going on.xx

Kate thank goodness for the photos, are you feeling a little brighter? probably not untill the hole in your living room is fixed.

blue hi there honey hope you put your feet up this evening.

moon I have been thinking of you and your dh today and hope that you are both as ok as can possibly be expected. go easy on yourself, eat your favourite things, drink naughty things, rest, and no rushing about.xx

hoping I think neeko may have left some chocolate custers behind the cushion on the sofa, make yourself at home but you may have to be quick cos kate will certainly find them1

iggy I think you asked me about needles? could have that wrong if I go back I will lose this post - accupncture is fab - expensive but fab I think it has helped stabilise my hormones, lengthened my cycles and has generally made me feel a bit bubble wrapped which is all for the good
love to all.xx

barbie1 · 10/06/2009 19:00

its late and i havent had time to read but ill catch up tomorrow....

Phoned to speak with gp, (my nice lady wasnt working) to ask about lower back pain that ihave been getting for two days...she called back and told me to get to a&e as i was having a mc i asked if some people ever get back pain and go on to have babies and she said no total panick called the hospital and spoke to a lovely guy who assured me it was normal and to see them in a few days....my head is all over the place.

mermaidspurse · 10/06/2009 20:22

bejezus woman! at stupid dr person
barbie you are working like a trojan you would probably have bad back ache anyway at around your dates let alone working like you are in the heat etc etc.
One of the early signs of up the duffness is back ache, I would say that is common - as just a layperson anyway.

and breathe, hand holding commencing.xxxxx

VJaybigpants · 10/06/2009 21:12

barbie lower backache is normal in pregnancy, try not to worry hun xx

GracieGirl · 10/06/2009 21:39

Barbie darling where did you find such a stupid GP?!!! Of course people have all sorts of pains and their Bean?s are still ok. How does that Dr think she can diagnose a definite miscarriage over the phone. I agree with mermaid that is probably just an early sign of ?up the duffness?. Sit down, you need a hair stroke and a back rub.

Right where was I ? Hello everyone sorry I haven?t been around much for the past few days I?ve been occupied doing family tree stuff. A group of descendants from the same person born in 1783 all got together for 3 days to do research and visiting of gravestones etc. One has come over from Australia ? that?s how obsessive it gets, it was good fun though and got quite a lot done. Also very good for taking my mind off that pregnancy thing I?m trying not to think about at the minute. (pregnant? who me?)

Moon I been thinking about you loads, I hope you and DP have survived today in one piece. I?m so sorry you?ve had to go through it all again.

Barbie I know what you been about being tired, I really could sleep all day given the chance. I emailed Scorpio a few weeks ago and she said she was keeping away from MN for a while, but was ok. Your day at work yesterday sounded a nightmare, you can?t go that long without food, isn?t there anywhere at work you can hide a food parcel. My filling cabinet at work is full of crunch bars, dried fruit, water and chocolate for those many times I don?t get a proper break. Hey did I hear you admit to overpaying your pregnancy test bill ? naughty Barbie!

Mermaid I can so relate to your comment about even the thought of being so worried has you worrying - without this thread I would be crazy (actually I am crazy but I?d be lots more crazy!) Your water cress soup sounds yummy, I must try some. Well done for resisting testing until Saturday when you?ll have Iggy and Cupcake for company.

MLS I think I?ve probably missed you ? have a lovely relaxing holiday!!!

HopingAlways welcome to our thread, its definitely the place to be.

Mollie its great to hear your nuchal scan results have come back as low risk, you must be so relieved, and congratulations at your graduation to big pants!

Curly I think I?ve missed you too, don?t work too hard in Ireland, 2 weeks away is a long time I hope you can lurk a little bit and keep me and Barbie company in our new BFP craziness.

Vjay get some rest I imagine you are so tired. Sorry to hear your DS carers allowance will be stopped, that?s ridiculous!!

Annie ? you?re probably right I should start a thread in the pregnancy section about abdo pain and trapped wind to see if anyone has any suggestions as I?m still up twice every night in pain. But that would mean actually admitting to being pregnant (who me?) that might be a bit too scary for me just yet, my head needs to stay happily in the sand for a bit longer. Neeko yes you are right, I should probably see the doctor about my pain. I asked my DH, he?s a doctor does that count?? He kind of grunted, rolled over and went back to sleep, excellent medical advice!!

Blue ? Yes I remember Morph ? I?m 30. Mollie is right you should make another one and post a picture of it so we can all see it.

Sabs sorry to hear about your DH?s bereavement, I hope you are still able to enjoy your time in Rome.

Waves to MrsKate, LBM, Lion, Bakingqueen,

Jools sorry to are having a rough time, but like Moon says there's plenty of room on here for you to get support at the same time as everyone else. Here let me give you a hug.

Iggy ? LOL at your ?my wife sits on internet all day talking about sex? Jeremey Kyle comment!!

4ever ? at you being pregnant 4 times to get to a total of 40 weeks. It great that you are getting positive ovulation tests and good to hear your BD?ing is going according to plan. Fancy the man oppositive interrupting when you are MumsNetting!! I?m laughing about you telling DH about us cheering you on! I think you get an A for effort! How can your body need you to go to the gym when you are BD?ing so much!!

Neeko your poor DD having nightmares about pizzas!!

GracieGirl · 10/06/2009 21:40

Wow haven't I got a lot to say for myself this evening!

Joolsiam · 10/06/2009 21:40

Barbie - it depends on where the bean has implanted. For this second pg, I had quite nasty lower backache before I got that BFP, but didn't associate it with pregnancy till later - as I hadn't had it the time before ... It is just burrowing deeper

I am ensconced in my nice hotel, after leaving home at 6am to battle my way across London to Paddington, then having 4 meetings at work today. Did my pilates tonight, then chilled out in the bar with a yummy dinner, and allowed myself a pudding

Blue - in terms of BD, we've never ever been particularly good at it - I used to have a real problem and it hurt too much to allow him inside me for years - not sure what changed, other than the need for a baby but I haven't had a problem now for over a year. He isn't as driven to be a parent as me, but is not against the idea - just less enthusiastic. He is great with other peoples kids - just scared of the responsibility. Each cycle (tmi - sorry) - we've either started BD and he's not been able to finish the job, or he's been in need of some viagra [hmmm]

Chocolate clusters - I've never tried them !! Am developing a craving though !!

Internet connection here is flaky, so I'll give up - submit this and go to bed - sweet dreams and happy marinating girls

cupcakefairy · 10/06/2009 22:05

Hi Gracie wondered where you were. Cool about the family tree stuff ...and sorry your bowel is still causing pain! ( errm...just sneaked a look at your profile; is that model-type person you?? If so can't you post a pic of you looking rough after a night shift and make us mere mortals feel better?)

hi jools glad you made it to the hotel. I have 2 friends who have real problems with sex being way too painul. I keep trying to convince them to see a sex therapist but I hink they're too ...

Barbie I can't believe that stupid woman!! I think we need to get in the Barbie-mobile and kick some ass!

missed you but love ya jools gracie it's fascinating doing your tree and helpful when australian members of the family get very enthusiastic. Glad you are ok though, stumbling around graveyards is way more healthy than obsessing about being up the duff

bakingqueen · 10/06/2009 23:27

Hello

bakingqueen · 10/06/2009 23:42

Hello ladies hope your all well today. Still no internet so blackberry lurking at you all so sorry in advance for short post! A big welcome to hoping you'll love it here its a haven where we can obsess to our hearts desire where if we did it real life we would get sectioned! Barbie - hope that stupid Dr has not upset you or worried you too much its so irresponsible for them to come out with such a flippant statement clearly they have never been where we have all been. So annoying when people are like that. Gracie- hope you start to feel better soon am a fellor ibs sufferer and take three tablets a day which help my symptoms still never leave the house without imodium though! Moon-been thinking about you today hope it was bearable for you and that you are spoiling yourself for the next few days x. Iggy-loved your Jeremy Kyle thought so funny although have to admit having a soft spot for the show watched it when I came home after my bad scan and it stopped me crying for 45 mins so been a convert since! Its day 12 here not to sound too much like big brother! Been trying to do the deanna plan but dh got loads of work to do tonight and I got in late last night so no bd since Sunday unless I can stay up it will have to be tomorrow! On plus side opk still negative and normally don't ovulate until day 16 so hopefully a few missed nights will be ok? Anyway lots of love to you all x x x

barbie1 · 11/06/2009 06:24

vjay im so for you, but at least the lo is kicking around letting you know you have something so special to look forward too very soon

4ever about your dad and being pregnant for a total of 40 weeks, tears are streaming down my face, why oh why is life so bloody unfair?

jools even in your times of sadness you still find it in you to confort me, you are one special lady I hope you are right about the implanting beanie

mermaid roll on saturday.....Im even concidering taking the laptop to work so that i can sit in starbucks to check up on news!

gracie did you say you were pregnant? enjoy the extra money.....al £4 of it!

I missed the new joiner, im sorry i have already forgotten but hello

I have had 3 hours extra in bed this morning, another late for me so dh refused to let me get up and do any house work or the dog walk....i can get used to this my back is still achy but so is my legs now so im guessing its just tiredness.
Dh is phoning the gp to make a complaint clearly the women is either not very good at her job/ jealous/ or overworked and frustrated and took it out on me. What a terrible bed side manner, god help anyone who has just discovered that they have an untreatable illness came down this morning to find dh had been googling lower back ache awwwww bless.
Im not going to do anything until next thursday until i can see the lovely doctor again, unless something happens in the mean time......

mermaidspurse · 11/06/2009 08:16

morning barbie just accept you are cream crackered and pregnant
Seriously though it just goes to show how the smallest thing is goingg to tip us into such worry and this is maybe the cruelest blow after a mc.

bakingqueen sorry sweetie I am always in bed by the time you are blackberrying it, hope you manage some quality time though
cupcake saturday seems a long way off, I hasve no symptons of anything no pmt. no twinges, oh well....
4ever morning if you are in early, have you gagged the annoying office man and did you enjoy the concert.

cupcakefairy · 11/06/2009 09:27

Morning mermaid...I know, Saturday is still flipping ages away! I think I have symptoms but actually they could all be put down to AF being on her way too...cruel world.

Hi bakingqueen - love the big bro reference, we are a bit like that aren't we. "Day 12 for the Emmsy's Angels. 4ever has been marinating for the last 45 minutes..."

VJaybigpants · 11/06/2009 09:43

Good morning, I have finally uploaded a photo of the bump, it was taken yesterday at 29 weeks. Now I've made it viewable to my mumsnet mate only and I have just gone through the entire thread and put you all down so please tell me it's worked cos it took bloomin ages

mermaidspurse · 11/06/2009 10:05

vjay whispers... cant see even the one with the mini eggs..... no photos and I was getting exited too to see your bump.x

VJaybigpants · 11/06/2009 10:08

Thanks *mermaid8 I've now made it visible to the world

mermaidspurse · 11/06/2009 10:14

vjay oh my oh my no wonder your poor back is hurting, no wonder you are so tired! But really you know you should have been holding some mini eggs still
Thanks for sharing, I would have been that big by now wouldn't I, brings it home but in a good way somehow - it has helped seeing you all expanding.
Now go put your feet up and have an early 11sys.x
