Molliemooma · 09/06/2009 10:13

Curly Glad to hear things have settled down, good luck with your exams, hurry back
Mollie wanders off thinking how warm these big pants are

anniebigpants · 09/06/2009 10:14

Right, caught up.
Barbie-Huge mahoosive congratulations, so happy for you. My prediction of a Summer BFP for you came true after all!
Take it easy at work and try and get your hours reduced if you can.
Taking it one day at a time is all we can do in the early weeks.

mollie-Glad to hear things were well with your nuchal and blood test, its such a relief isnt it?
Good on you for taking the plunge and graduating to the Big Pants list.

Moon-Ive been thinking of you and i hope you are as well as can be expected at this truly awful time. I,ll be thinking of you on Wednesday.
Your poem was lovely, i was crying my eyes out reading it.

Blue-Glad DS had a lovely birthday. Hope you and bean are well, you must be coming up to 12 weeks soon?

Iggypiggy-Hope AF stays away for you, but if she shows her ugly face, at least you will know everything is back in working order again.

Curly-Sorry to hear you have had a scare with brown spotting. I had 2 episodes of spotting with DS between weeks 5 and 7, and in this pregnancy i had a tiny amount of pinky brown spotting at 5 weeks, i rang my GP in utter panic and she said it was more than likely to be implantation bleed.

MLS-Enjoy your holiday in France, plenty of relaxing for you now.
Re your DH not showing excitement at your news, as jools and others have said, its their coping mechanism, mine was excactly the same as yours, and even now he doesnt really want to talk about it. he was the same when i was pregnant with DS for the first few months, as id had 2 mc before DS, he was so scared of things going wrong he detached himself from 'our' pregnancy, once my bump was starting to grow and he could feel DS kick, he got a lot more involved. and he is a real doting Dad now.

mm-Glad sickness is easing with your meds. Glad beanie is well and you will get chance to see him/her in about a weeks time.

Gracie-Sorry to hear you're still suffering with trapped wind, what a pain-literally!!
Maybe start a thread in Pregnancy section on MN??

Neeko-What a long cycle you are having!Do you think you may have ov'd twivce in this cycle? Hope you get your BFP this month.

4ever-Hope you well. Re OPK,s i only got a strong positive on cd 13 and 14, ive only used them once and that was the cycle i got pregnant this time.

BakingQueen-Good to see you back, hope you got moved in okay. Sorry AF got you, better luck for next month.
Sorry to hear of your little fire, hope DH didnt smell the smoke when he got home.

Lion-Hope you and Bump are well.

Sabs-Enjoy Rome! Hope you had a succesful shopping trip for your new clothes for your ever expanding bump.

LBM-Sorry to hear your job didnt turn out to be as perfect as expected, that is really bad of them, not giving what was promised. You are doing right by telling them to stick their job.

Ginger-Sorry AF got you, hope next month is your month.

VJay-Hope you got through Saturday okay. Sending you big hugs.

mermaid-Keeping my fingers tightly crossed for you, symptoms sound promising. I really hope you get your BFP.

cupcake-Fingers crossed for your BFP too!

Last but not least MrsKate-Sorry your having a shit time of it at the minute. Hope you can get your wedding photos replaced, how awful for you. I hope you get your BFO soon hunny so you can put all this behind you, big hugs.

Well, i went to see Take That in concert on Saturday and they were bloody brilliant!! Best concert ive been to ever. We were standing, unfortunately, and by the time the concert finished my feet and lower back were killing me! I was wiped out Sunday, i felt so exhausted all day, it was worth it though.

Time doesnt seem to be dragging as much for me at the minute, im 15 weeks now and starting to get a little bit excited and a bit more positive in thinking i might actually have a baby at the end of this.

Love to all.

mermaidspurse · 09/06/2009 10:17

vjay this has come out of 'How to feed your whole family a healthy ballanced diet with very little money.. and hardly any time, even if you have a tiny kitchen, only three saucepans (one with an ill fitting lid) and no fancy gadgets - unless you count the garlic crusher'
Tht is the title I kid you not and it is the best cookery book I have had for ages.

1 or 2 bags watercress, 1 onion, 1 clove garlic, 2tbsp flour, 1 pint chicken or veg stock 1/4 pint of milk, parsley single cream.
a bit of butter

Melt butter, add onion, garlic, parsley gently cook till onion soft.
Add watercress, cover, cook few mins.
Stir in flour, stir for a min, remove from heat, add stock and milk.
Bring to boil, stir when you remember and then simmer for 5mins.
Blend, add an arty swirl of cream, a bit of watercress and a bit of parsley.

You can come over all Nigella after making that!

iggypiggy · 09/06/2009 10:18

mermaid hope you ok?

Cupcake - when might you think about testing? I had to restrain myself this morning - is far too early!

MrsKate hoep you feeling happier today?

annie 15 weeks! very exciting! I can imagine time goes v. slow - especially while waiting to pass milestones / have scans etc. xx

4ever how are you today - what did you decide to do re: opks etc?

Gracie hope you getting on ok? and that you not missing out on too much sleep?

iggypiggy · 09/06/2009 10:22

Neeko Are you testing tomorrow? Or do you mean week after?

moon how are you? Did you have some wine/ choc? Thinking of you at the mo - and especially for tomorrow. xx

Waves also to sabs lbm bakingqueen Blue lion Ginger xxx

iggypiggy · 09/06/2009 10:23

Forgot to also say hi to Jools - hope you ok? xx

anniebigpants · 09/06/2009 10:25

That soup sounds lovely mermaid-think i will have to make some of that myself.

Vjay-Hope you start feeling better soon, it could be lack of iron, but it could be a combination of having to look after DS and lugging around a 6month+ bump.

curly-hope your exams go well.

iggypiggy-Sorry hun, i thought this would be your first AF after mc.I hope you get your BFP, but it will be good if you give yourself some reasons whi it wouldnt be good to get pregnant this month as well.

mollie-glad the big pants are fitting comfortably

mermaidspurse · 09/06/2009 10:26

iggy ha I lay in bed this morning desperate for a wee thinking I could just do a little test...... but I didn't so have a little gold star this morning. I like your reason for not being pregnant this month, our poor brains and the twisted logic that we go through. I do think though that your body is getting stronger and recovering by the day so when it does happen and the bfp arrives everything will be fine and you will be in tip top optimum baby carrying mode
annie 15 weeks blimey that has shot past, glad you are ok.xx

cupcakefairy · 09/06/2009 10:32

Massive congrats on the graduation Mollie it's so exciting to see that list growing.

Ok Neeko I promise not to be as bad as mermaid and tempt you to test I will just have to wait and see! (We are in a v rural area of France so internet unlikely! And DH would be if I suggested going somewhere to find it for MN!) You are v strong. I know what you mean though, the thought of getting a BFN makes you want to wait a few more days to test!

Iggy I don't know when I'll test...my HPTs will prob arrive today so will have to sit on my hands... DH gets home from work before me and he said he was gonna hide them from me! Maybe Saturday?

To be honest I feel quite low today.. been feeling sooo positive recently I was even surprising myself and last night it just kind of hit me, I'm probably not pregnant and just totally getting my hopes up. Then this morning stupidly looked through a friend's photo album on facebook- she is due in 4 weeks. Of course I don't begrudge her her happiness, it just made me a bit sad.

Anyway...
hope everyone feels ok this morning, especially you Moon - as others have said, the waiting is worse than the day itself so look after yourself today.
Curly I'll miss you! Hope the exams go ok.
MLS enjoy your hols

iggypiggy · 09/06/2009 10:49

Mermaid that was my exact thought this morning! But am only CD25 and really have no idea how long this cycle might be... I think will wait till weekend maybe?

cupcake it's kind of waves of ups and downs isn't it? OK - maybe we both do Saturday?!

VJaybigpants · 09/06/2009 11:47
bluesatinsash · 09/06/2009 11:51
  • just a quickie whilst DS is watching tv (Although I did just make him a 'Morph' out of his b'day 'make your own Morph' pack - how do they get it so smooth on the telly ? (Anyone under 30 will have no idea what I'm talking about )

Yay! Mollie - for climbing into those big comfy pants . Pack those thongs away girl .

The soup sounds yum mermaid - and indeed gold star for resiting the test...

barbie - really hope work is going to be OK, hope all goes well at docs next week.

moon - thinking about you this week, really hope tomorrow is OK and you can start to heal...

Has anyone heard from Jools?

Better go and attend to the Prince x

cupcakefairy · 09/06/2009 13:15

Iggy I'd love to be testing buddies on Saturday (providing AF hasn't got me by then!)

Blue I'm under 30 and know Morph! He's a legend! I know someone who looks just like Tony Hart

VJaybigpants · 09/06/2009 13:18

blue I remember morph, but I am over 30, my ds used to talk like him

Curlywurlee · 09/06/2009 13:25

I'm off to the airport and thought I would say a final goodbye as I don't think I'll be able to post much over the next two weeks - exams and iphones are not conducive to catching up properly on Mumsnet. I will lurk as much as I can though and I'll miss you all.

Moon I hope it goes okay tomorrow. Continue to be strong honey, it will get easier once you get through this bit. I'll be thinking of you lots and sending you virtual hugs xxx

Neeko iggy and cupcake hope to see you very soon in the mediumpants list. And I hope that the next week of waiting doesn't send you over the edge. I'll be lurking on saturday to see how the testing goes. Iggy sorry I forgot it was first month of TTC, not first AF Hoping for the best for you, but if it doesn't happen this month, you will have a fantastic time on hols

mermaid and 4ever take care my lovelies, and keep an eye on Barbie for me. Can't wait to see you both joining us in the medium pants section. mermaid TEST!!!! (ha ha just getting my own back )

Jools Is everything okay in RL? We haven't seen you in a little while so I will lurk and worry till you show up xxx

Kate it's been a bit of a rubbish month for you. It's time things started getting brighter so hope that you have lots of luck this month, and can enjoy life with your gorgeous DH, you're practically still on honeymoon

Take care my fellow new BFPs Gracie barbie and MLS I'll be right there worrying with you. And I hope Blue Scorpio and MM are all coasting towards even bigger pants soon

Gosh, this is a long post. What happened all that studying I was meant to be doing...

VJ get back into bed at once. I've got eyes in the back of my head and will be keeping them firmly focussed on you Hope the Midwife sorts out the tiredness for you honey.

Mollie enjoy the big pants. I'm so pleased for you

Big waves to Lion Sabs and Annie take it easy and enjoy those growing beans. And a final wave to cupoftea bakingqueen and gingermumi. I guess you'll be in the 1ww when I get back so don't worry I'll bring you all back something nice to distract you

SEE YOU ALL SOON (I'm feelin a bit sad now )
