OP posts:
barbie1 · 08/06/2009 17:27

mermaid sadly not a huge smile more frowns and worried looks thought id be over the moon and of course i am but the worry is imense. I know the non pregnant ladies will want to murder me for not being so happy...i am but i cant stop worrying!

annie did email me via facebook, she sounded fine, i just think she is concentrating on real life for a bit x

mermaidspurse · 08/06/2009 17:33

oh honey not at all! I am not even up the duff and am already hiding in my bucket - even the thought of being so worried has me worrying. The gloss is well and truly off with all this pregnacy lark isn't it.
Please please take extra care of yourself.xx

barbie1 · 08/06/2009 17:36

i promise i will...roll on next week, seems only a doctor will convince dh that its real decided that if they sack me then so be it, this baby is more important. I just hate feeling so worried....also there isnt a bathroom in the spa, but its just outside in the mall. Being the manager i have to tell reception if im going so after the 15th time (yes 15th) i started getting looks like this from them!

mermaidspurse · 08/06/2009 17:43

blimey do you reckon they have guessed! I hope under your bupa care package you will get access to scans easier. Porr dh!

MrsKate · 08/06/2009 18:15

moon u go and relax we are all thinking of you at this horrid time.

barbie dont be worried about not being excited its a mix of emotions and hormanes at mo for you .

Neeko · 08/06/2009 22:00

Moon Give yourself a big pat on the back for surviving today. We'll all be with you on Wednesday. I agree with Cupcake about your DH being there. My DH and I actually laughed quite a bit on the day or my ERPC -purely a coping mechanism of course - and it did help. It's suh an awful experience that it helps to make it a little less real. I think you should also try to make some non-baby related plans when you feel up to it. That was also part of the recovery process for me. My EPU said they would test the baby if I had a 2nd m/c to give us some answers. Is that an option for you. Look after yourself.

Barbie Hope you are also looking after yourself. I totally understand how afraid you are. I think all of us will feel like that initially. Just try to put your feet up as much as possible and stay away from the gym for a wee while to allow your bean to bed in properly

Cupcake Lol at your wanting me to test early just so you know! If I'm as strong as I plan to be then you'll just have to find internet access in France! I'm partly planning to wait because I'm very frightened of a BFN. Just beginning to realise how high my hopes are this month

mermaid Hope you're ok today and not madly symptom spotting like Cupcake

4ever Really hope it's your month this month and that you ovulate soon (not like me who had to ait until cd 36! )

Kate Are you feeling any better? Have you and DH sorted out the front room yet? How many packets of Clusters have you eaten today?

Gracie Hope you're managing to enjoy being off. Fingers crossed for a full night's sleep.

MLS Have a fabby holiday. Will pass on updates as soon as I have them!

Big waves to the rest of the gang!

MummyLovesSadie · 08/06/2009 22:02

Hello ladies

Moon have been thinking about you today, you are so brave in this awful, tough time. I'm next in line to give you a massive hug on Wednesday. Hopefully the actual process itself won't be as bad as the anticipation.

Barbie I wish there was something I could say to make you stop worrying! Do you feel any different at all now to how you did when you were pregnant last year? It's so hard to be rational isn't it when fear grabs you by the goolies & wraps its cold bony fingers around your neck? Scorpio seems fine, she is on fb & I think all is ok.

Kate it took me 9 months to get pregnant last time & then 3 months after mc. They do say you are more fertile for a few months after mc but I don't know how true that is. Maybe you get pregnant sooner after a mc because you are more desperate & determined to?

4ever don't get too sucked into the whole opk thing (although they are another great obsessive tool!) as I never had a strong second line except for once two months ago. I always used to interpret a line slightly lighter than the control line as a positive. I think you should use them in conjunction with your usual methods of ov prediction. I think the advice is to bd the day after a pos result (which means you will ov in the next 24-36 hours) & the day after that. Anyhow, if you start bd'ing regularly from about day 8 then you should be covered.

Curly so glad your spotting has stopped. Hope you are feeling slightly more relaxed now?

Gracie hope your hormonal bowel sorts itself out before you have to go back to work.

Neeko sending you lots of sparkly baby-dust, still have a good feeling about you this month. With your stupidly long cycle you must feel like you are on a 2 month wait!

This was only going to be a short post as it's my last one before my hols tomorrow - boohoo! I'll really miss you all & definitely intend to lurk as much as I can even if I don't get much of a chance to post.

Keep those bpf's a'coming!

xx

Neeko · 08/06/2009 22:03

Curly Meant to say I'm glad your spotting is away. Take it easy though. Beans need cottonwool caring!

Curlywurlee · 08/06/2009 22:16

iggy of course you are going to symptom spot!! you don't get slapped for that honey Maybe though just in case you could come up with a few reasons why it would be okay not to be pregnant this month. Like 4ever says it does feel like things are returning to normal when you get first AF after MC (ok it's not much of a consolation) Anyway that's enough of the sensible bit, really I'm getting a wee bit excited about you getting that bfp

cupcake I don't think there's any harm using up cheap pregnancy tests. It sort of manages your expectations and gives you something to focus on while you wait so it's not all bad

4ever it is very early in your cycle so don't worry if you don't see a line yet. But it is definitely good to start early the first month you use them. I was convinced from the slight pains I got, that I ovulated on day 15/16 but it turns out I was ovulating on day 13/14. According to the Deanna plan you should BD every two days until you get the strong line and then every day for the next three days.

mrskate you've plenty to moan about. That's what we're here for How is your front room? Were you able to replace the photos?

Thanks Neeko, I am making a science out of taking it easy and DH is wrapping me up in cotton wool. Hope you'll be joining us with your own BFP soon. 9 more days to wait, it must seem like forever. We must think of some ways to distract you

barbie I think when you've had a mmc, it's impossible to trust that everything is okay even when there is no bleeding . Let's just take this one day at a time, and get to the first scan, and then we can take it from there. What are your plans with work? Are you going give up work or just cut down the hours for now?

MLS and Sabs hope you both have fantastic holidays

gracie sleep tight tonight

Moon, my thoughts are with you. I hope that you are being well looked after and that the next couple of days pass quickly xxx

Curlywurlee · 08/06/2009 22:20

I forgot to wave at the lovely mermaid. Thanks for helping to keep me sane

barbie1 · 09/06/2009 05:11

Happy holidays mummylovessadie and sabs curly i want to just cut down my hours...due to managing the biggest spa i am currently job sharing with another lady who had been ill of late and requested to reduce her hours, the bitch boss from hell however refused this request and told her just to leave so ill be left on my own from the 1st, which is when i have two weeks leave The sad thing is the other lady really wants to stay and there isnt any need for the two of us during the middle part of the day. I would love it if we could both work just 30 hours and still cover the spa...that would make both of us happy. The only other thing i might have i my favour is the fact that two of the five managers have handed in their notice and the other english lady works only 30 hours a week and has two days off
However on the negative im sure she will realise that once i have the baby (touch wood) i wont be going back!!!!.... my plan is to get through until next thursday when i visit my lovely doctor, hopefully ill get the bloods done there and then and will hve results within 24 hours to see whether its viable...if so then hubby will write the letter and then we shall just wait and see..............

Molliemooma · 09/06/2009 08:10

Barbie I am still so happy for you See that happy!!! Opening your email on Sunday was the bestest ever birthday present. Can't believe you don't have a toilet at work I think you should resign and wrap yourself in cotton wool for the next 8 months
Moon Thank you for your comments, made me cry buckets and then I read your poem and everything was soggy Beautiful words my lovely that echoed what we have all felt. Hope you can feel us all holding your hands over the next few days, weeks and months
kate So sorry to hear of the flood, were they the official photo's that were ruined? If so the photographer may replace them if you give him a sob story
GG I think I missed congratulating you somewhere along the line, huge apologies but a massive CONGRATULATIONS obviously you had the lucky tough this month for you and Barbie lol at you feeling proud of it being your HPT she tested with
Mermaid Sounding hopefull
Blue Glad the party went well
Cupcake Hope you are distracting yourself
Curly Wish I could say something to stop you worrying but I know its impossible, I am sre it's just beanie settling in that caused the spotting, take care of yourself.
Ginger Sorry she got you
4ever All the luck in the world for this cycle hun

Morning ladies, im still around but had no time to post, busy, busy, busy, Just off for a catch up be back in a few mins (or hours judging by how much i have to catch up on )

VJaybigpants · 09/06/2009 09:21

hi mollie welcome to the BIGPANTS so glad the tests are all low risk, it's such a relief isn't it
I'm sure there are some more of you due to graduate soon bigpants are so comfy you know

barbie there is nothing I can say to stop you worrying, only that it is totally normal for those of us that have had mc's, all you can do is take it a day at a time

I've been so tired recently, I think my iron levels are low, this happened with ds. I rang the mw and she's coming to see me tomorrow to take some bloods and hopefully get me fixed up with some iron tablets. I took ds to school yesterday then went back to bed for 2 hours!!! felt better for a bit then totally shattered again. What do you think???

Curlywurlee · 09/06/2009 09:42

Morning everyone. This is probably my last day on MN for a couple of weeks as I'm heading off later today to Ireland to do my exams. So I better make the most of it

Mollie I am loving the big pants. they really suit you. Hopefuly there will be a few people joining you soon so we'll need some more BFPs to fill up the rear in the Medium pants section. Congrats on the good results, it must be such a relief

VJ it does sound like an iron deficiency, though I'm sure being 6/7 months pregnant and running around after a DS would make anyone tired. I'm glad the midwife is checking things out though, so you don't have to worry.

See you in a few hours Annie!!!

Big waves to everyone else and especially Moon. I hope you are getting through today okay honey. Just one more day and things will gradually start getting better, even if it doesn't feel like it right now xxx

Curlywurlee · 09/06/2009 09:44

I definitely have pregnancy brain.... forgot to say to barbie stick to your guns honey. They need you more than you need them

VJaybigpants · 09/06/2009 09:44

hi curly how are you have things settled down now?

Curlywurlee · 09/06/2009 09:50

Everything seems to be fine VJ thanks. No more spotting, and it really was only a tiny amount so I reckon it was from implantation.

5 weeks today... tell me this is going to start going by quicker soon!!!

How are you today? Still really tired?

VJaybigpants · 09/06/2009 09:54

Oh culry I'm so glad it's settled down, and good luck for your exams. It will get quicker, but for me it was once I passed the 12 week mark
I'm so tired right now I could cry, I really want to study but think I'll go to bed again for a couple of hours! I was in bed for 9 last night. Bring on the iron tablets is all I can say

mermaidspurse · 09/06/2009 10:03

curly fingers crossed for good exams with all the questions coming up that you have crammed. You will not be far from my thoughts, please take it as easy as possible. Travel safely.xx

mollie That is one big step for womankind Ace news on the tests and baby shopping, its been a long time coming so just you start enjoying it all.

vjay make a big bowl of watercress soup its yum and full of iron which is much better for your body to digest and get into your system. I've got a fab recipe somewhere if you need it.

barbie what is it about head honchos that they have to be so mean? Hope your trips to the loo are not too numerous today

jools I hope you are ok lovely lady - have you buried your head in work? hope you are ok, thinking of you as I know the hormonal crash is probalby coming and going.xx

4ever hope you are ok lurking and working away. I know what you mean about the weird obsession with sticks and pots and temps and gerneral cuffuffle - oh is that a word? it should be! For you, you have the added pressure of a time frame to work within and that must be a huge increase in pressure and panic. I have my fingers so firmly crossed.

neeko cupcakecupoftea gracie hope you are all cool.

Mrskate we won't let you get that sad honey - this thread is a multi faceted place to offload share, scream, moan( thats me but I can cos its my age)be scared and ultimatley to celebrate being lovely ladies who have struggled throguh adversity- blimey maybe I should be writing Gordons speeches. right work.

Curlywurlee · 09/06/2009 10:03

VJ I can understand the need to study but listen to your body. Hopefully this will all be sorted tomorrow and then you can go mad with the studying. So go to bed, that's an order I shall study enough for the both of us today!!

VJaybigpants · 09/06/2009 10:05

mermaid yes please for the recipe, I need lots of iron rich recipes

VJaybigpants · 09/06/2009 10:06

Ok curly, night night see you all later

iggypiggy · 09/06/2009 10:12

Curly you mustn't get excited for me - is such small chance... And I have already had one AF after the MC - so this was just the first month of ttc... I have one reason why it would be ok not to be PG this month - and am focussing on that... As am going on holiday in two and a bit weeks with my family and DH and it would be nice to have few drinks while am away - will hold on to that. Plus - that would be a week of opportunities for BD action at the right time

Is so good that your spotting has stopped - I can imagine I will be so panicky if am PG again. xx

Vjay glad you getting checked by MW - hopefully iron tablets will help.

barbie I hope work ok for you today - sounds like a bit of a nightmare.

mls enjoy your hols!

mollie congrats on Big Pants!

going to catch up a bit more - and post again in a bit!
