I substituted the tea bags in the kitchen with PG Tips decaff at the weekend - DP hasn't noticed a thing, so we are both caffeine free !!

Well I had my scan this morning, only found out yesterday so thought I would wait to see the outcome before posting, well . . . . there is actually a baby in there! And it actually looks like a baby which is more surprising! They measured me as 8+3 with an EDD of 14th Dec, still in shock tbh as I really couldn't think positively, I know I'm not out of the woods yet, but this is the first of my hurdles crossed as this is the furthest we have got As far as the hospital are concerned that was my dating scan and they have booked my next one for 20 wks as you can imagine I'm not to happy about that as 2/3 m/c were missed ones, but I'm sure the MW or GP will authorise another one for 3/4 wks time.

Mollie been thinking about you lots and at your wonderful news. So happy for you but know so well its still one day at a time... You absolutely must get a 12 week scan, do they really expect you to wait until 20 weeks, I don't bloody think so . How's the ms? Mine has turned up in spades and I feel permanently hungover without the fun of having had a wild night the day before - hurrumph.

Kate - if your still checking, have a fantastic day tomorrow and enjoy every minute of being the belle of the ball . Gracie - I can so picture you at Kate's wedding, all demure and elegant during the day then tearing up the dance floor to the Grease mega mix come night time - enjoy !

neeko - I used to use zoombaby.com OPKs but they were so fiddly I returned to the break the bank clearblue digi ones. hope your +ve is just round the corner .

Forgot to say, bought a pushchair today, we were going to go for a pram, but with space being our biggest issue with all the travelling we do we've gone for a travel system again, it folds up really small and is very light. It's a mammas and papas one, it's had very mixed reviews on here, but it suits us. Dh went to pick it up today and it was in the sale, so even better

Fantastic news indeed Mollie Vjay - meant to say thankyou for your kind words I think it is fair to say that this PG never got past implantation, so the hormone crash wasn't terrible and I never really saw it as a baby iyswim - makes it easier.

I still have very tearful moments, but have learnt through last time how to handle them and distract myself. The over-riding priority has been to put a brave face on for DP, so I don't put him off performing again. I think that I may just be delaying a couple of major meltdown days, but we'll see

jools just go with the flow, you have a very wise head on those shoulders of yours, but when you need to let it out, just let all go, and we are here to listen and hold your hand.

Big hellos to cupcake and moon haven't had a chance to chat yet but wanted to welcome you to the lovely ladies on here.

Well got my scan booked for the 29th, I wanted to wait till 9 weeks and will be 9 weeks exactly, may change the date as it won't be easy for DH to get time off but it will be around that date. It feels kind of real now, and scary, one phone call to the hospital today and everything kicked in, once my GP referral is faxed tomorrow then the hospital take over full care of my pregnancy, lets hope they bring some luck. Strange DD said tonight she is so excited that she is going to be a big sister soon, kind of freaked me out as we haven't told her yet, asked her what made her think that and her answer was that god will put a baby back in my tummy soon. Think she must be picking up on something we have said but lets hope she is right about her being a big sis soon.

Went to superdrug as it's close to work. Their opks are on a BOGOF so hopefully have far more than I need. Much easier than babymad's but if I still need them after new one's are finished I'll try babymad without waiting for temperature. (after a few frustrated tears about not being pg yet! )

oh mollie your bean is beautiful i hope he/she is very comfy in there and is sticking like mad!

i finally have my 1st midwife appointment on Monday - phoned the doctors to say what are you playing at, no one has rang me, stupid receptionist says, 'well they are very busy and they won't phone you til you are so many weeks anyway', i said well i have waited a week and i can't wait any longer, and i am already 9 weeks how much further do i need to be?! so she eventually relented and gave me a number to call where i spoke to 2 lovely ladies who sorted everything out for me. i am actually getting excited now!
