Molliemooma · 14/04/2009 11:52

MM Hurray Hurray Hurray Welcome back my lovely, so wonderful to "see" you. Fantastic news about your change in plans and now nnttc you and Barbie can have a race!

Joolsiam · 14/04/2009 11:54

Mermaid - maybe you've got so many bits crossed, that TTC is not gonna work

I have a very strange mental image of a tangled Mermaid now hehe

mm1509 · 14/04/2009 11:55

I'm not going anywhere, I needed the short break but I will never be away for too long, and that's a promise.

Will be back later need to go pick up DD, she had a sleepover at her friends last night so going to walk round and get her.

Speak soon my lovely ladies.

mm1509 · 14/04/2009 11:57

Oh the mental images you ladies give me, lol, I'm going this time!!!!!

SabsBigPants · 14/04/2009 12:00

morning ladies (well it was morning when i started writing this!)...ive resigned myself to the fact that i will never be able to keep on here, lol! whilst even writing this, i refreshed and saw even more new posts!

oh my gosh - such good news! congrats to jools and blue i am so happy for you! sending you both, annie and mollie lots of sticky thoughts....im 16 weeks and still knicker check...

vjay sorry to hear youve been feeling down...we're all allowed to have down days...dont apologise for a "me" post, i think we're all entitled to do that from time to time!....Hope you're feeling better...

babyinacorner you asked for conception tips - I was using the conception pregnacare tablets when i conceived and also (dont laugh!) but i always threw my legs in the air after each BD session

4ever and annie hope yesterday went OK for you. I just spent a lot of time with DH yesterday, who had a cry yesterday. I was quite strong yesterday in that I was deep in thought but didnt cry..maybe its cos i cried during the week...but my family were really sweet and my dad took me, my siblings and nieces out for dinner cos he knew how down i was, which was nice, he was being mum whilst my mum is away on holiday

neeko safari park, i havent been to one in ages! we were thinking of going to one yesterday. which 1 did u go to?

vjay so excited for u that lo is kicking more and more...im just really worried that i wont know what it feels like when my baby moves

welcome kay this is a wonderful cave....i dont think i'll ever leave (unless i get kicked out, lol!) and lol at the text talk...i think i do it lots on here as well!

MLS sending you lots of baby dust on your 2ww...

scorpio have fun with DH!

bakingqueen you can feel up or down on here, we're here for you whatever the weather...

barbie think us BFP'ers are still going to stick around on here...you cant get rid of us that easily!

mm so glad to see you back!!

sabs waves to kate littlebellsmum barbie mermaid lionstar and any1 else ive missed

thanx to all for your kind words. Saw my GP yesterday and hoping to keep busy so i dont think about work too much. Need to find a way to relax! Easier said than done

Joolsiam · 14/04/2009 12:07

Best conception tip I've got is drink LOADS of water

I was drinking grapefruit juice but wasn't allowed it on my diet, but was supposed to drink at least 2.5 litres of water per day. This makes you produce more CM - am sure it helped me

Other tip - buy a 6 month stock of tampons / book a holiday that you can't "do" if PG, buy a 2 seater car !!! I think they call it the law of pregnativity - will encourage that BFP to arrive when it is least expected and most inconvenient

SabsBigPants · 14/04/2009 12:11

meant saw my GP this morning...at 9am...so only three hours ago! blame "mumnesia"! lol

SabsBigPants · 14/04/2009 12:13

jools i bought 2 packs of ovulator indicator kits (making the most of boots BOGOF offers) and ended up not using that either!

i bought grapefruit juice but hated the taste of it, ended up chucking it down the sink!

GracieGirl · 14/04/2009 12:14

Jools - laughing at your "sods law" of getting pregnant tips!! I bought loads of new size 8 clothes and went to the wholesalers and bought 3 crates of Smirnoff Ice the week before I found out I was pregnant last time. (weirdly the best before date on the smirnoff ice turned out to be same week as my EDD!)

mermaidspurse · 14/04/2009 12:21

I think you are spot on with the water theory. I am rushing off to book a holiday, booze in vast crates, dozens of opks, anything else girls, come on I'm getting past my sell by date

sabs you are sounding brighter, your dad sounds lovely.x

4everhopeful · 14/04/2009 13:21

Yea - love the 'sods law' preg tips! Been in my house 8 yrs & never done the back bedroom in hope would eventually be a nursery. Relented a few weeks back that it may not happen & why keep putting it off, so cleared it out, sold goods at car boot, then brought wallpaper, the next day we got the call to say we could have this treatment to have our baby hopefully, so I do believe in 'sods law'! Also last yr got sick of putting everything off 'in case', so ended up unintentionally running 5k when 5 weeks PG as well! (Tho Jools does that in a daily gym session so puts me to shame!) Although, you keep up with your normal routine girl, they say if you exercise already, keep going, if you don't, dont start when PG! (like me!)

Mermaid late reply but glad you are seeing the consultant again cos think of you often & hope so much you will get answers too!

Barbie dont worry i'm with ya my old skool buddy! I worried that too! Great to see you too MM!!! xxx

Kay4MattTTC · 14/04/2009 13:26

afternoon all. hope everyone is ok.

SBP: thankQ. and conratulations.

here's an update about me:
i am now on CD14. hopeing there is a chance somthing might happen after last night , but not sure anything has cause i haven't noticed an ovulation on my FC again . today i am feeling pritty . so thinking i might stay indoors.

bluesatinsash · 14/04/2009 13:35

MM!!!! So lovely to have you back here and whooo wooo that you and DH are not actively tntc...

4ever great to hear from you too, it always seems quieter on here when you're not around!

Thanks you ALL so much for your posts this morning, I've been welling up more than once I'm on cloud nine today . The knicker checking and anxiety can begin tomorrow .

4everhopeful · 14/04/2009 14:13

You stay on that cloud 9 Blue girly! Good philosophy to have - stick with it! I'm really so pleased for you!!!! (and Jools and Mollie)!

Hmmm mysticbarbie whaddayareckon - these 3 get BFPs within a week and so did Lionstar Vjaybigpants and Sabs... wasnt there a third one for Annie and Scamper as well (a sister a friend?)?

Does seem to be a case of happening in 3's! Maybe it will be me, mermaid & barbie together?!?!? We can finally hopefully graduate!

mm1509 · 14/04/2009 14:34

blue you ride on that cloud for all it's worth hun.

4ever I guess it's true what they say about good things coming in three's!!!!

As for the sods law, well we shouldn't even being considering ttc for now, I finished up work last week so don't even have a job atm. Gonna be starting to work for myself but until we know how it works out financially we are taking a risk. I think that's why we can't talk about it now. The strange thing is that I feel more positive this time..................sods law, bring it on.

If I am honest ladies I am kind of shocked to be back, this time last week I was taking a break as we weren't even thinking about ttc, what a difference a couple of days make. So glad and grateful to have you all here, thanks xxx.

Joolsiam · 14/04/2009 14:40

mm - thanks to a non-co-operative DP, I had more or less given up any thoughts of TTC and had thrown myself into weight loss and exercise, resolving not even to broach the subject till after Easter (wanted to lose a few more pounds than the 16 I have managed). I also didn't think I really wanted a baby round Christmas time.

And look at me now - DP got in the mood the night before ov and that was all it took (he is in shock now, so I keep telling him he must have super sperm !) EDD Dec 20th, so I may well be having that Christmas baby to go with my sister's Christmas Day "baby" of 14

mm1509 · 14/04/2009 14:50

Wow jools what a Christmas you will have, it will be so special, you will have you own personal little angel at Christmas.

DH has always been very co-operative , it's just other factors have came in to the equation. After the last year we wanted to take a break till at least March, then I found out I was being made redundant. My mind says we are crazy but I suppose we all need a bit of craziness sometimes. It may just prove that's exactly what we need.

I think all the happiness on here is contagious, I've been smiling all day.

mm1509 · 14/04/2009 14:51

It's good to be back!!!!

mermaidspurse · 14/04/2009 15:35

at you all - blue you just sit on that cloud dangling your toes and soak it all up.
mm so glad that you have got to where you are - its never the right time so yeah maybe its what you need, crazy lady!
4ever hope they don't hurt your dh taking blood too much.x
jools 16 pounds is an awful lot, you did so well.

mermaidspurse · 14/04/2009 15:56

kay honey, phew, what to say? You are so young and you won't go out cos you are jealous of pregnant ladies? Is this a windup? I have to ask cos my heart went out to you and I dont want to waste time on a troll if I don't have to.
I think maybe rather than posting the same thing on all these threads you should start your own? Maybe there are other young girls out there in the same position. We are all old enough to be your mum (sorry barbie) and each of us would say stop, go out have fun, work at your college course, don't have babies yet, you have a whole life ahead of you.

Joolsiam · 14/04/2009 16:02

Kay - I agree with Mermaid - you're starting to put people's backs up all over the Conception forum by just copying and pasting the same messages into hundreds of threads - it really does make people think you are not genuine.

All of the ladies on here are older than you (some of us more than twice your age !) and have been through one or more miscarriages - the point of this thread is to support each other moving on post MC. I don't feel you have even bothered to try and understand what any of us are about or why this thread is here.

There is a twenties TTC thread - you'd be better off on that one, or starting off one of your own.

Not trying to be nasty, but I can see that people are going to turn on you unless you start grasping the netiquette around chatting on Mumsnet
