Right here we go again!

So far we have been lucky on this thread so lets stick together for all you oldies! until we all get our precious babies.

Here's to the next chapter in our special journey, onwards and upwards

anniecam breathe hunny! right forget about other people you have to concentrate on you and if that means a little white lie to say you have been spotting then so be it, there is no way you will be able to get through the next few weeks until the proper scan, its not healthly for you to be so stressed...i hope you are feeling a little better now? how crap is your doctors?

OP posts:
GracieGirl · 21/04/2009 17:28

Annie I agree with Barbie, its a rubbish system, a little white lie won't hurt, you have to think of yourself, and I'm sure everyone else plays the system.

I've been working at another job which is cash in hand (don't tell the tax man!) and putting all the cash in my drawer at home ready to pay for private scans.

Why do they make it so hard for us!

mermaidspurse · 21/04/2009 17:30

annie the worst thing you can do is get stressed, its not good for you or your little bean.
If they won't do it then get one privately it sounds like it may be the less stressful thing to do, but not on the pocket obviously.
But I really mean it the worse thing is for you to get stressed. You have to live by the day by day mantra, its bloody hard but you will get there
dont lie about the spotting I am not sure if it is very good karma
Get some rest and build up some strength.xx

blue gald you told your mum.x

barbie which job are you going to go for then?

mls for you and yep get that drs appointment booked.

still stomping feeling absolutely dreadful tbh - me me me me

doozerhead · 21/04/2009 18:31

sorry to hear that mermaid - i am here with a medicinal virtual g&t if that helps? xxx

mermaidspurse · 21/04/2009 18:56

gratefully recieved thank you doozer I got caught red handed pinching ds bestest easter egg earlier too

Molliemooma · 21/04/2009 19:27

MLS Bleeding on day 21 means low progesterone I think? Have you had CD21 day blood tests done? If not I'd ask your GP about them, or if they are not receptive get another one!
Annie So sorry to hear of your poor treatment in trying to get a scan, seems so unfair the way treatment differs all over the country
Barbie You are becoming very popular on the job front, well done you Keep an eye on your CM as you want it to be clear for OV, might change in the next day or so.
Blue You sound so like me with your worries, FB me at any time if you want to chat or I'll send you my number on there if you like

Hello to everyone else

MummyLovesSadie · 21/04/2009 19:44

Mollie thanks for info re progesterone. I was wondering if it could be a possible cause & I know that you can buy progesterone cream over the counter. I had a load of tests done last year for thyroid problems & to check that I'm actually ov'ing etc... not sure if they checked progesterone levels but I'll be sure to ask when I see my gp next week.

Annie not sure what to suggest re scan, on one hand a little white lie would get you a scan but on the other hand totally agree with Mermaid re not being good karma. Imagine if you did tell them you had started spotting just to get a scan & then you actually did start spotting - how shite would you feel?

Barbie you need to be looking for the clear, slippery, stretchy stuff which will increase for a few days until the day you ov.

Neeko how was work today?

This whole business is nothing but worry..... worry when you can't conceive, worry when you do, worry throughout your pregnancy & believe me a whole new set of worries as soon as you hold your new born baby in your arms. What I wouldn't give to be ten years old & completely free of any anxiety again...

MummyLovesSadie · 21/04/2009 19:52

Oh yeah talking about a whole new set of worries - my dd managed to get a pea stuck up her nose this evening. I wasn't sure if there actually was one up there until she kept sneezing & sneezing & eventually one was jettisoned across the table! Unfortunately it didn't end there as she then kept rubbing her nose & shouting 'pea nose' & was getting very agitated, I had to lay her down in my lap & saw another pea right up her nose! I called the doctor who said to try & get it out myself or else I'd have to go to A&E. When I got off the phone & saw a squashed pea on the floor where dd had been jigging around & rubbing her nose & I had to get her toy monkey-torch & shine it up her nose to see if the pea was still there but I think it must have been the squashed one on the floor.

Just to top all that off she then did her 'poo-face' & when I took her up to change her nappy it had leaked & she had poo right from the back of her neck down to her toes so there was nothing else I could do other than wash it off in the shower!

Am now drinking vodka!

kate030284 · 21/04/2009 20:15

Evening all. It's a very up and down thread today which matches exactly how I'm feeling.
By the way am I the only person on the world not on Facebook?
Blue Well done for telling your mum. I'm sure she'll be a great support.
Scorpio I'm admiring your exercise ethic - I turn into a bit of a laid back slob when pg. Go easy on yourself though.
anniecam really on your behalf. The stupid gits. Think I agree with mermaid on the karma thing though. Hope you get it sorted soon and like the others said try to stay calm.
Jools Forgetting to write your own name? That's seriou pg hormones!
MLS poor you with bleeding Get to docs and be checked out. Sending you a hug though it sounds like DD's keeping your mind off it. Enjoy the vodka
Barbie your a woman in demand. Good for you. I advise you to take the job that gives you best access to MN!
Kate What about yoga positions that you're not allowed to do when on AF or pg in case of bleeding? Might bring it on? Worth a try. Where are you going on honeymoon?
Hope eberyone else is ok.

Neeko · 21/04/2009 20:54

Doozer any more virtual drink going spare? Think I need it

doozerhead · 21/04/2009 21:39

I'm good thanks Neeko. Managing to just about keep a lid on the symptom spotting - (.)(.) still not sore, even with all the poking, so suspect it's not a go-er this month - still, onwards and upwards as the thread says! Still going to do another cheapie test tomorrow though!
How are you? Hope being back at work after the hols isn't too exhausting.
Kate wow, looks beautiful too! Not sure what's most gorgeous, the views or the inside of the lodges!

kate030284 · 21/04/2009 21:42

i no i was so shocked when we found it through hoeseasons we booked it there and then .i cant wait il report back when ive been to tell if to go xx

Joolsiam · 21/04/2009 21:44

You lot make me feel old That place looks lovely Kate I bet it will make you relax and regulate hormones. You've probably been stressing about the wedding subvconsciously.

I've been "engaged" over ten years - no sign of a wedding

Can I confess to an embarrassing meltdown earlier

Was in an aerobics class and was suddenly utterly convinced I was passing clots Ran out of the class, ran home crying - up to the loo expecting to see the worst, only to find a little bit of creamy stuff - no clots and nothing red or brown I felt so stupid [blush

kate030284 · 21/04/2009 21:48

ahh jools you are bound to be stressing about bleeding and that dont me to hard on you self.xxx tell him its about time you got married lol i got the dress then told my dp that we had to get married the next year being in 2 weeks. we have been together 6 years tho

GracieGirl · 21/04/2009 21:49

Oh Jools big hug! Perfectly normal behaviour I assure you! (well it is for us lot anyway ) Put your feet up and think calm thoughts.
