goodmorning jools and neeko* can you tell im not at the beach today?

We should ask mollie how she feels about being on a hoping to need big pant list and then we shall make you all a lovely new home under the comfort of the new title....
how are you today hun?

neeko you have to wait another week at least, 14 days past ovulation

baby good list, now dont you feel better?

OP posts:
Neeko · 16/04/2009 08:54

Lol at your 3rd reason Babyinacorner!!
Morning Jools Any symptoms today?

Joolsiam · 16/04/2009 09:03

Morning Neeko

No symptoms whatsoever

I think I need to buy some more sticks to wee on - literally all I have to go on is absence of AF.

I shouldn't complain really - plenty of time for nausea etc to kick in and it may not - my mum and sis never had any.

Most disappointing thing so far is I am still not filling my C cup bra on its tightest setting - was hoping to grow a cleavage quite quickly !

mermaidspurse · 16/04/2009 09:07

morning lovely ladies
bakingqueen lol you must have been like a pin cushion by the time your dh finished with you! Oh your dissi - I miss all that mad adrenaline maybe I should go sky diving too. In the last week of my dissertation I abandoned china plates etc and used paper ones, never slept, shakes from too much coffee what a mess so you are sounding positively layed back and organised. Must have been all those sessions of accupuncture

babyincorner bloody af but your list sounds good and we have to get positive frame of minds for next month.

neeko do you feel like you have a little flashing light with 'hey pregnant lady follow me' It does sloooowly get better, or rather your armour plating gets thicker. I think its good to let those tears come.x

curly gorgeous lady was thinking of you yesterday and was hoping you are ok.

kate you sound cream crackered so am ordering you to pamper yourself with face packs and a foot spa as soon as you get a moment.

barbie I only really realised this week how all encompassing all this ttc business has become. You are being very sensible, even though you are thinking of being completely mad by jumping out of a plane. Fingers crossed that Mac snap you up this time.x

jools hope you enjoyed your sumptuous evening.

regards mls gracie lbm you are all late night birds and expect you are all still zzzz!

The accupuncture was interesting and it didn't hurt at all. I thought the needles would stay there but it was just 3 of them in and out really quickly. 1 in each of my wrists and 1 in my sternum area. She said that my heart had been hit physically and mentally which very weirdly is true, I never told her about my car accident. so I think it is all about building back my protection. We shall see, it was all very cathartic anyway so we shall see.
barbie when you can you really must go and see one, I think accupuncture is very good atsorting out your cycle.

4everhopeful · 16/04/2009 09:10

Morning ladies! Missed you yesterday! Will try a quick catch up!
Babyinacorner I did find my AF went back to the same day, 28 days later after each erpc, tho this time round it seems to have gone to 31 days?!

Barbie great about the MAC job! Nice you had a day out, I went past Jumeriah Park so I was at the thought of you baking in the sun yesterday! Hope you're not too burny day! Aloe veras great!

Mermaid Yay! You conquered the needles brave woman. Did I skip your post cos couldnt see what you said about it? Did it hurt? Were they reassuring about its benefit?

Lionstar more waiting eh? You sound in a great positive frame of mind though and just loving Fidget! Your lo sounds a real cutie pie too so im sure she's a healthy distraction for you! Everythings crossed & like I said prayed for all of us at church on sun...

Vjay hope you are feeling abit brighter, but dont knock yourself, study stress, worry about school funding & hormones makes it all very valid! Have some mini eggs & put your feet up!

Big waves to the BFP club Mollie Jools and Blue... Jools will be waking up in her 4 poster surrounded by lushness! Also at your happy dance! Blue hope you & DH had a nice night & the news is slowly sinking in now!

Hello also to MM Monkeysbum (great to see you back again!) Curly Sabs Neeko LBM Gracie MLS Kate Bakingqueen...

Phew - too many of us to post individually methinks! Specially as am bit worried of being on here too long at work cos of the job changes & stuff

Anyway - a quickie, yesterday the ball got rolling, DH gave blood for screening, results back next fri, so we have 30 days from yesterday to have the treatment, which will make it beg of May!
The worry is I think I'm OV in next couple of days, if cycle was still 28 days Id be OV tomorrow, but last cycle was 31 days so now confused? Cant risk getting PG before the treatment so will try & avoid BD but willpower not good & did BD this morning! Now worried, so am gonna get an OPK(?) stick at lunch & try & work it out... Never done sticks before, just guessed dates but cos regular not a problem... It would be the ultimate sods law if I get PG before we have the treatment .. Im a bit confused. Will keep my legs crossed all weekend now!

barbie1 · 16/04/2009 09:13

mermaid brave brave lady...i promise that if MAC snap me up i will go a head and book a course of 5 sessions...how many are you having? and how long were the sessions?
And as for jumping out of the plane, im completley and utterly crapping myself at the thought, my plan is to accidently fall pregnant in the next few months of trying not to think about falling pregnant while having lots of fantastic sex!

Weird about here knowing your heart had been hit, maybe there is something in at after all?

OP posts:
barbie1 · 16/04/2009 09:16

x post 4ever good news about treatment early may, we cant win can we? we want to get pregnant but have to wait....we bd and then realise we shouldnt of....just take it easy hun and keep your legs crossed for the next few days

OP posts:
4everhopeful · 16/04/2009 09:19

Ooh Barbie You updated the list & you're right, Im either on CD 13 or CD 14 & I know I used to (work out I.. )OV on CD 14 ? Def get a stick at lunchtime, no idea what to do with it though? Presuming its self explanatory?!

x posts mermaid love the concept, freaked out at the actual practice of sticking needles in me tho! My nan goes, my mums going & I've heard nothing but good stuff so will have to overcome my fear & be brave like you!

Neeko · 16/04/2009 09:23

Jools I had no symptoms at the early stages with my DD and was never sick. With the MC I just got huge boobs and the loss of them was my 1st sign that anything was wrong. After everything you've ben through you're probably just going to sail through this pregnancy.
Mermaid I'm going to be folowing your acupuncture info with interest. Didn't sound too bad. I've tried reflexology and she could also tell me about injuries I had that I hadn't mentioned - clever!
4ever Condoms (remember them?) are cheaper than opks!
barbie thanks for the earlier info on testing. That's what I thought and am feeling quite positive at moment taht I'll manage to wait (but give me a few days)

Joolsiam · 16/04/2009 09:24

The acupuncture sounds really good Mermaid - am almost tempted to sample it myself, having heard so many positive stories.

Forgot to wave to Curlywurlee earlier - lovely to "see" you and come back soon

4Ever - have never used OPK's but have read lots on here - I think you do them in the afternoon after trying to not wee for a couple of hours and, if you are about to OV, the line should be as dark as or darker than the control line ?

mermaidspurse · 16/04/2009 09:24

4ever you naughty naughty girl what are you like! look you have a PLAN now stick to it girl! Its like the how to not get pregnant list though I guess.
It seems like you are forever waiting for bloody results. anyway its all sounding good, so make sure you are both good too, get a good book or do some needlepoint or something

barbie I have 2 booked and think she wants to see me every week for a bit. she wants to know thee ins and outs of the colour of af and stuff. I am always fascinated with the questions they ask, your favourite colour, food, we shall see, if nothing else its an expensve distraction!

barbie1 · 16/04/2009 09:25

its very easy to use the stick thingy....just in case you dont work it out here goes

!) find bathroom

  1. undo trousers/skirt

  2. pull down leggings/tights/pants

4)hoover over the toilet and pee on the stick

OR
5) take in plastic cup and wee into that

  1. dip stick in the cup for 10 seconds

  2. wait

  3. return clothing to orignial position

  4. wash hands

  5. fiddle with hair/ makeup/ bag/ phone while you wait to see if you have a second line

  6. process the information in from of you on the stick

hope this helps! ha ha

4ever yep afternoon wee, in a little pot - that will be fun at work!
neeko what are these condom things?

Neeko · 16/04/2009 09:30

Mermaid Something I used to use all the time in another life when I did't want a baby - what was I thinking?!

barbie1 · 16/04/2009 09:34

mermaid psml at needlepoint! how bizzare at the things they want to know? i shall have great fun saying well at first its brown and then red for 1 minute and then brown, then it turns very light brown, darker for an hour, prehapes a little red on day 4 then brown oh then it disappears for a few hours and the back on day 8 for more browny stuff

OP posts:
mermaidspurse · 16/04/2009 09:34

ok, now I am trying to work out how to hoover the toilet

Joolsiam · 16/04/2009 09:35

Quick theory to run by you lot before I really really have to go and do some work !!!

Bearing in mind I was almost 12 weeks when I MMC'ed on Nov 11th and was still getting and extremely faint (squint and hold it to the light and you might just see it) line on Dec 27th ...

Do you think that this could mean my body is still "used to" HCG and is not going to react to the rising levels in the same way ? I am wondering if that will be why I don't have the sore swollen boobs and mild nausea that I had by this stage last time ??

also, first sign last time round was my hair not coming out when brushing / in the shower, but it is still falling out

Think I need to do another conception indicator thingie to convince myself that HCG levels are actually going up !!

4everhopeful · 16/04/2009 09:35

I feel like a naughty schoolgirl now barbie & mermaid & am quite worried too! Silly me us! Legs are truly crossed now, promise! Thanks for info Jools will get a test at lunch, Neeko I def feel like a naughty schoolgirl thinking of condoms! Oh well only 2-4 days of 'risk' () of conception so will just cross legs! Cant believe Im talking about conception being a 'risk' What a palava this all is eh?!

Mermaid I love that they ask you all those questions and can diagnose anything possibly related, sounds very holistic, I like the idea of that..

We are fine waiting on blood test results, this is screening of DH blood pre transfusion, its the law that anyone who's blood is going to be transplanted (DH white cells injected into me) has to have blood screened for communacable diseases 30 days before transfusion (HIV, hepatitus etc..) Hes a blood donor so we know thats all fine already but the laws the law!

4everhopeful · 16/04/2009 09:40

LOL barbie thanks for the list hon! Im gonna copy & paste it & print it & take it with me to the loo! Yea weeing on a stick will break up my afternoon!

Yep Neeko as you can tell Im a bit crap at working out levels of things MLS has the white coat! Only realised what an OPK was about 3 weeks ago!

mermaidspurse · 16/04/2009 09:40

jools as you know I usually defer to you on all things scientific - do a test purely to put your poor confudled heart at rest.
Sympton spotting is for all of us the worst bit. Your body is embarking on its second pregnacy so it could well be coping with it very differently this time around.

barbie1 · 16/04/2009 09:41

4ever make sure you print out my step to step guide on how to test, just ignore the hoover bit as you will look very silly taking henry in with you!

jool no idea love, but i think you should step away from the indicator thing because they surely only mess with your head.
You should really feel much symptoms until 6 weeks after conception ie 8 weeks after af, it takes that long for the hormones to rise enough for the changes to take place....we only convince ourself we can feel things to make ourselves feel better (according to lesley regan) hope this helps///

OP posts:
mermaidspurse · 16/04/2009 09:43

yes but henry does have a lovely smile

barbie1 · 16/04/2009 09:45

sadly reserved for hetty

OP posts:
barbie1 · 16/04/2009 09:46

jools are we taking your mind off things yet? i am being rather silly and if you all prefer me to be sensible im sure i can revert back?

OP posts:
SabsBigPants · 16/04/2009 09:47
