Hello Ladies! AF FINALLY ARRIVED!!!! A new cycle has begun!! yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

bigbrofan · 25/08/2009 19:55

cyncan that is good your af came - a fresh start... i think vitamin b6 is meant to be quite good for regulating cycles.

barrenbrrok - i am excited for xfactor - dont like the live audience though.

my scan is tmrw and i am beyond nervous - trying hard to distract myself. i have typical symptoms, sore boobs, slightly swollen belly, sligh nausea but nothing major - what are your symptoms engel??

xxxx

cyncan · 26/08/2009 04:09

bigbrofan! good luck with your scan, everything will be just perfect!! I will definitely look into the B6!

xoxo to all!

engelbart · 26/08/2009 08:16

glad AF finally turned up cyncan, lets hope it behaves this cycle!

good luck with your scan bigbrofan, let us know how you get on. My symptons; really really tired, have the appetite of a small horse and have put on loads of weight already as I can't stop eating, will have to try and reign my appetite in... Have been trying unsuccessfully to get an appointment with my midwife which is a bit worrying as I want to sort out my scan etc.

I have to admit I quite like the live audience of x factor

How are you getting on not using the monitor Trixel?

barrenbrook · 26/08/2009 19:34

Bigbrofan, how was the scan, hope it all went splendidly!

Engelbart, hope you get your appt with the midwife sorted soon

I dunno if I am imagining things but I've been feeling proper wiped out, sicky in the afternoons and both my boobs are a bit tender, plus I woke up in the night absolutely ravenous. Maybe it's just AF from hell on it's way which is all I'm trying to think at the moment. And it could be too early, I'm only 7 dpo according to the monitor.

bigbrofan · 26/08/2009 21:56

just keepin u posted... the scan went well... saw and heard a heartbeat and everything was normal. i have to go back in 2 weeks for another scan to check all is progressing properly. i am officially 7.5 weeks so when i get scanned again i will be 9.5 weeks. i am so happy but still part of me is apprehensive.

i am going to my GP and they will refer me to the hospital where i will get my big 12 week scan although it will probably be later as i will have alerted them a bit later.

whats your due date engel??

barrenbrook i had similiar symptoms to that at 7dpo....good luck xxx

monkeybumsmum · 27/08/2009 08:56

Bigbrofan, that's wonderful news about your scan, you must be v relieved that all is well

cyncan, hooray re your AF arriving! It's horrible being in that limbo land where you just know you're not pg, but yet AF refuses to show on time... How long does that make your last cycle then?

barrenbrook, hope that you are feeling rough for the right reason 7DPO is not necessarily too early to be feeling some sort of symptoms. Hope the rest of the 2WW doesn't drag too much for you.
Am sooo excited that X Factor is back - I even bought some champagne for last Saturday night, how sad am I? Don't you just love this time of year though, summer drawing to a close and the promise of cosy evenings snuggled up in front of the telly ahead, ooooh lovely

I have been jumping up and down with excitement this morning as just got my first high Was starting to panic as am already on CD15 and was convinced that nothing was going to happen.
How long did your high's go on for in the first cycle of using the FM? Can it really go on for ten days like I've heard? Am worrying about knackering DH out before ovulation...

bubbalewy · 27/08/2009 20:04

Oh well im not doing that great, this is my 2nd month im not ov keep getting highs again but thats it no big ov, not sure if its worth going to the docs yet as its only my 2nd cycle since my mc.. does any one know if its too early to get help to ov. never not ov ive been observing for over a year so i know i havent... Changing the subject somewhat> love x factor , and DANYL what a cutie lol

poppy34 · 27/08/2009 20:10

Hi am very poor re posting back but on about cycle 4 now of ttc am on day 15 ucl is about 32 and on a high .

bubba I would give it another month as that is about what it took with my mcs- really sorry to hear about it though.

barrenbrook · 27/08/2009 21:24

Bigbrofan, bet you're chuffed to bits scan went well, glad to hear it

Monkey, I had highs on days 8 and 9 then peaks days 10 and 11 then back to a high on day 12. I'm now CD19 and have been lows up til now from CD12. I got proper excited when I got a peak on the monitor, how sad we are! And Danyl, LUSH! Love him and can't wait til Sat when it's all on again, glad I'm not the only one who gets giddy over the X Factor!

Symptoms have stayed the same today, CD19, still have tender bbs (usually only one gets sore) and I'm proper knackered and feeling sick as a dog come the afternoons. 9 days til AF due, we shall see!

bubbalewy · 27/08/2009 22:39

thanks poppy nice to know its a thing that can happen. Il wait see what happens next cycle.. im pleased they are short ones, im so impatient.

Vikks · 31/08/2009 15:25

I?m back from my hols! Hope everyone?s fine and dandy.
DH and me have been getting down to some serious BDing. Lots of long lazy days in the sun relaxing together, so fingers crossed.
Did have a bit of a panic though; it got to CD19 without a peak and I was getting a bit nervous that my op didn?t work. But then day 20 tears of joy, got my peak and confirmation that I?m working! Today?s CD21 and still peak, got my bloods tomorrow to confirm my ovulation. So all in all a good hol!
How many days is it usual to peak for?

Bubbalewy ? Cycle buddie, sorry to hear you?re not getting a peak. How short are your cycles? Will you go to the Doc?s after the next cycle if things don?t happen? I thought that I wasn?t ovulating back in the beginning but waited a year before I got some help, wish I?d gone a bit sooner.

Barrenbrook ? Sounds hopeful on the symptoms. Have you got a test day in mind? I know what you mean about ?proper excited? when you get that high. DH and me had big smiles on our faces all day, I don?t know how we?ll keep it secret when we get our BFP. Good luck x

Hello to everyone else and may the force be with us!!

monkeybumsmum · 31/08/2009 18:43

Hi all

Just a quicky but wanted to say hello!

Vikks sounds like you had a lovely time, lucky you! You and I are at the same stage - had my second peak day today, and am pretty sure I ovulated last night as could feel it Have bd'd 3 times in the last 4 days, dh not up for any more as is knackered at the mo, so fingers crossed it's enough! When will you get the results of the blood test back? Good luck, and I hope it confirms ov!

Barrenbrook how are you feeling today? Hope you're still having possible symptoms

Hi to everyone else - must dash to get the fish pie out the oven!

ps what did anyone think of x factor on Saturday? I missed bits but no-one seemed quite as 'impressive' as Danyl from what I saw

bubbalewy · 01/09/2009 00:20

vikks glad you had good hol, what made you think you wasnt ov?? i always peaked for 2 days and this is the norm for what i have read. I am having cl of 22 which was 25 before mcs so quite short. Ive had no firm boobs either which i always get 1 week before AF, just a little this month but opk was just high for days so take it im not gona peak as prob have AF any day now.. will def go docs as soon as i know im not gonna peak again, no time to waste!! Il be rapping at his door 9am sharp
monkeybumsmum X factor was boring this week hun ya didnt miss nowt. Even though i sobbed at the guy whos bro died, daryl i think his name..

peasoup · 01/09/2009 19:54

I posted I had only just started to use the monitor; first cycle. I didn't even know how long my cycle was, but since then I've looked back though diaries and they have been really random! Does anyone know what that means?! I used to be really regular. It was 25 days then 26, then 15 (!), then 28 for the four months before I started using the monitor. Convimced the fact that they are all over the place is a BAD sign.
OK... staretd using the monitor, got high reading on days 13, 14, and 15 then a peak on day 16 and 17 (BD'd on 16) then a high again on 18 (BD'd that day too). I was joking that the first time, although i was 38, I got up the duff on the very first mnth I tried. Then I was really freaked out as come day 28 NO AF!!! and I was feeling really sick in the morning!!! Really weird. i was walking around going "No, surley not; i couldn't be that lucky, no" in a bit of a state of shock. Didn't tell anyone, just waited with baited breath....I have never ever been more than 28 days. Lo and bloody behold AF arrived on day 31!! How bizaree; what a flippin wind up! God knows why i was queasy, but I DEFINATELY was; not imagining it.
Oh well; that depressed me a little. Lord knows why i was so late.
Then I asked the doctor when i was in there for something else and got even more depressed as she slagged off the Clear Blue; said it was very unreliable and said the best way was to average out your cycle (mine averages at 25 days) then start BD'ing 14 days before the end of the cycle (on day 11 in my case) and do it all that week as much as you can.
What does everyone else think of that? Because the monitor isn't telling me to BD on day 11; it told me to do it day 16 and 17. I felt forlorn cos I didn't know what to believe and I hadn't BD'd on day 11.
The next month I had a 25 day cycle, got a high reading day 9 and BD'd, got Peak on day 11 and BD'd; another Peak day 12 (no BD) then high agion day 13 (BD'd).
This month Peaked day 9 and 10 and BD'd on one of them and have tried to carry on BD'ing every other day to cover both the monitor's advice and the doctors!!! AgHHH

bubbalewy · 01/09/2009 22:03

peasoup Iv just look back over my history i also averaged at 25days and i got a high for 2 or 3 days prior to peak then that lasted 2 days then it went to a high again for a day then to low for eg:::: cd 10 11 12 high, cd 13 14 peak, cd 15 high, cd 16 low. It did differ a few days here and there sometimes i peaked cd 11 12 but generally the same, i got bfp from bd on high and 1st peak day. I also had an odd freaky AF cd30!!I always get peak 14 days before AF but as you cant be sure exactly when AF is coming id go with the monitor when i concieved it was cd 12 when i peaked i bd cd10&12. Hope this helps or even makes sense lol

Vikks · 01/09/2009 22:49

Peasoup ? Your cycles sound like a nightmare. I?m hoping your Doc?s wrong about the CBFM, I?ve got all my hopes pinned on that little machine.

Monkeybumsmum ? I?m getting my blood results next Tuesday, but feeling confident that my progesterone will be high. I was back down to two bars today, so I peaked for two which seems to be normal. I think my DH will be grateful for a rest too!

Bubbalewy ? I thought I wasn?t ovulating in the beginning because my cycles were so long, I think my record was 126 days! Also tried POAS nearly everyday a cycle without getting a positive result. When we finally went to the Doc?s, blood tests confirmed it was my ovaries and then all the treatments began. So it?s quite amazing that my op worked and for once we have a chance. My Doc says we should be PG by Christmas! Here?s hoping

barrenbrook · 02/09/2009 07:18

Morning girls, how are we all

Vikks welcome back, sounds like you had a fab holiday, am off for a week away myself with DH today, can't wait! Glad you got giddy when you got your high, little things eh! Good luck with the test results matey x

Peasoup Hope things start to settle down for you, and I poss would take what the Dr says about CBFM with a pinch of salt, they are jack of all trades master of none after all, not saying that they can't ever be right of course, unless she/he is a specialist in ob/gynae stuff then perhaps we should all wonder where to go next!

Bubbalewy I blubbed at that bloke who's bro died too, ha, there's always one that gets through on a sob story on the X Factor!

I'm dithering over whether to take a HPT with me on hols to test Sun. AF is due Sat/Sun, or do I just wait til I get back Weds? Argh! Decisions! Still have mild nausea, sore bbs (although yesterday they almost felt normal again but are sore again today) apart from that I am having the odd mild AF cramp but nothing obvious pointing either way. Who knows, I guess I'll just have to wait it out! Will post with any news when I get back x

Vikks · 05/09/2009 11:21

Someone give me a slap! Symptom spotting mad here and I?m only 5 DPO! I guess it?s just because it?s the first month with a real chance but I?m driving DH (and myself) up the wall. I woke up this morning feeling really sick and I convinced myself that I was getting more cramps than usual too. How soon do you get symptoms if you are PG? And how can you remain sane during the 2WW? I know I?m supposed to wait until AF is due before testing, but I don?t think I can! LP is usually 15 days, so that's another 10 days to wait?.. Help!!!

monkeybumsmum · 05/09/2009 16:44

Vikks I know how you feel... Why does the 2ww seem longer than any other two weeks???? I'm feeling a bit sick today too, and have a bit of a raised temperature, but in all reality it's probably something I caught from the kids in school this week
So your AF is due Tuesday 15th? Think mine is due on the Sunday or Monday before you so let's slap each other through the rest of the 2ww

Barrenbrook Hope you're having a lovely break with dh! Hope you come back with some good news

Peasoup That's naughty of your doctor to be negative about the CBFM. It's like doctors feel they're being threatened sometimes, when there is possibly another idea out there or another solution... Surely the CBFM makes perfect sense? After all, it tells you exactly when you ovulate, which surely is more reliable than averaging out your cycle lengths

Bubba You looking forward to tonight? Am bit disappointed it's only on for an hour, feel like I've been shortchanged

DS out with his Nana and Grandpa for a little walk, so I'd better go and get stuff done while I'm not being followed around

Vikks · 05/09/2009 18:06

Monkeybumsmum ? I consider myself slapped!! I?ve just told DH that we?re not testing early. This will be the longest 10 days ever but I?m gonna give it a whirl. I think I must really be ill, I?ve been in bed all afternoon feeling quite sick but it seems to be passing now.
I?ve got a big night out tonight with all my friends and I?ve decided not to have a drink (just in case). I?m a bit worried about this because my friends that know what I?m going through are all gonna think I?m PG and I don?t know if they?ll believe that I?m just staying healthy (it?s pretty rare for me not to have a drink). I don?t want to spend the evening convincing them I?m not PG while secretly screaming inside I hope I am. Oh well, only time will tell?.wish me luck!

monkeybumsmum · 05/09/2009 18:43

Good luck!!!! Have a great night, and one or two drinks won't hurt at this stage if you were pg
We are on the champers again tonight (Left over from last night celebrating our wedding anniversary - we are such lightweights we only managed half the bottle AND that was between four us )
Do some dancing for me!

monkeybumsmum · 05/09/2009 18:45

PS Am NOT symptom spotting but have a heavy feeling in my tum and an achy lower back
That's deffo not a symptom though is it? Plus it is absolutely too early to be anything.
Slap me, slap me, slap me quick!

Vikks · 07/09/2009 12:30

Monkeybumsmum ? How are you getting on with not symptom spotting? I?m doing rubbish! I?ve been nauseous all weekend and still getting the occasional cramps. I?m trying to tell myself that its high levels of progesterone that?s doing it because I wasn?t ovulating before my progesterone levels were always very low. What do you think, could that do it? Got the Doc?s tomorrow morning so hopefully he?ll be able to sort me out. I?m getting the all important blood test results!

Anyone else testing soon?

PS. My friends think I'm PG just because I'm not drinking!

bubbalewy · 07/09/2009 20:46

Oh well not only do i think im not ov iv not even had AF show yet, been having a cd of 22 now im cd28, no OV no AF bloodyell i now even gonna bleed anymore grrrrrr HOPE YOU LOT GET SOME BFPs soon, it will give me some hope
