Well, AF is due on Sat night (clockwork to the hour usually !) and I'll probably have a good idea if no spotting on Friday.

Not sure when I'll test yet - we are visiting DP's family on Easter Sunday - cousins, aunties, brothers, mil etc and I really don't want to have only just told DP as he might blurt it out - on the other hand, if I get a BFP, I won't be able to NOT tell him !!

Poor MIL - first she knew of my last pregnancy was when DP had to phone her (as he doesn't drive) and ask for a lift over to A&E because I was losing too much blood from the mc, so poor lady had to learn I was PG and deal with not being a grandmother after all at the same time I don't want to do that to her again - would it be better to tell her early next time ? I don't know

littlebellsmum · 07/04/2009 21:35

You could not tell her and then if the worst happened, you could get a taxi - it might be less worry for her? Or your could tell her asap and she might be a good support for you? You and your DP know what would suit her and you best. I've never told anyone untill I thought I was 12 weeks ( both my first two pregnancies went back by two weeks at the 12 week scan), just as I hate sympathy and DH and I are a pretty close unit . But it's a really personal thing

MummyLovesSadie · 07/04/2009 21:42

All I can say is that the next time I will tell everyone before 12 weeks. I find it easier to say "I've had a miscarriage" rather than "I was pregnant but now I've had a miscarriage which is why I'm behaving like I'm mentally ill".

LionstarBigPants · 07/04/2009 21:53

For mollie and a very sticky little bean, that's brilliant news, just hope the spotting is nothing to worry about

Look at all of you with your gorgeous pictures - I daren't join in as I'm not feeling very glam and have a rapidly expanding waistline!

4ever we are all on tenterhooks, really hope the Charlies Angels threats do their business. Good luck for tomorrow too - sounds stressful enough as it is.

Jools - it's all sounding positive, it must be your list of reasons not to be up the duff!

P.S. The amnio appointment is next Wednesday (15th) as have to be over 16 weeks - will be 16+4 by then. DP has the week off coincidentaly so he will be doing lots of cherishing and taking DD off my hands (if he knows what's good for him!)

MummyLovesSadie · 07/04/2009 21:58

Lion My heart goes out to you for next Wednesday. What a difficult position to be in. Hopefully it will all go your way & you won't have any hard decisions to make.

GG forgot to say, nicely surprised by your pics as had imagined you as Tess from Casualty heehee!

Curlywurleelittlepants · 07/04/2009 23:07

MOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I am so excited, a BFP. I know you must be worried but think of what VJ had in the early days and she is half way through now Here's my hand though, you can consider it yours to hold till that bean is well and truly settled in.

4ever I can't believe you didn't get your results. I was having sneaky peeks all day at work and had a right giggle at the thought of Charlies Angels storming the hospital. If you need me tomorrow, I've got the catsuit dusted down and ready to go

Big waves to everyone and hugs to anyone who needs one

barbie1 · 08/04/2009 06:22

mollie this is so strange, i got out of bed earlier than normal to come and check the computer, i so knew you would test earlier! and now im greeted with the best news ever! So so happy for you! I knew you were, especially after reading you sympton list! Now for a bit of reassurence. my doctor called this morning (checking up on me!) so i asked her about you! Cheeky arent i? she basically said that its normal to spot for about 4/5 day when your period should arrive, much the same as a mini period. Its your bodies way of clearing out for the new addition, and also sometimes your hormones getting a little mixed up and is confused to what is happening, hence spotting. I hope this goes some way to reassuring you? My face hurts from grinning so much! You see the job thing is happening for a reason, you will be on mat leave when its due to change....

jools i knew mollie was preggers all along and i have a strange feeling you are too im have a sixth sense for these things, just look how i knew about the love, love, love theme in 4ever wedding by the way i thnik you will cave and test on sat! go on!

anniecam yes add me! at the cat, my dog has just been in his pool and sneaked in while im distracted on mn and now the floors are soaking!

4ever i have been digging around the closest and have found a pair of black hot pants very 80's......a black vest...and my hair straighteners are on....so im coming to get you! here!

BY the way its a Happy birthday today to sabs and curly
barbie starts making the jelly and ice cream for later!

Im here all day, mum has gone home, im meant to be cleaning the villa and job hunting so speak to you all laters!

Joolsiam · 08/04/2009 07:41

Morning

Still smiling for Mollie

MysticBarbie - loving your predictions

MLS I agree, I will tell a lot more people next time that I am PG. Someone on my old A/N thread suggested that you tell whoever you would need support and / or understanding from if the worst happened, so I'm going to go with that and tell a few people at work. Still not sure about MIL though - she is a lovely Irish mum to 3 boys, so I'm like the daughter she never had and she can be a bit suffocating at times - I don't want her phoning me twice a day to see how things are going and just turning up with baby stuff - I can see her doing that and wouldn't want to be ungrateful but, hey, if I ever get the chance, I wanna pick my own pram !!

Hark at me - haven't even got the BFP yet

4Ever - is today another waiting day ? I'm working from home, so can storm the consultants with Barbie if you need me to

I'm wearing jeans I had no hope of fitting into 7 weeks ago, and have had to move the belt on another hole since the weekend !!!!

Have a lovely day everyone, especially the birthdays

bluesatinsash · 08/04/2009 08:52

Just quickie before i head in to work, what a lot has happened since yesterday lunchtime

Mollie - my heart is singing for you CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! [GRIN] [GRIN]. Take is easy over the next few days and try not to worry (I know that is impossible) xxx

Happy Birthday sabs and Curly!!!

Loving all the photos - what a good looking bunch we are

Jools - I have my fingers, toes and eyelashes crossed for Sat x

Catch up at lunchtime x

Neeko · 08/04/2009 08:53

Oh my goodness so much to catch up on!
1st things 1st Mollie Congratultions Such lovely news. Have everything crossed for you. Make sure you do lots of relaxing.
Jools It's sounding really positive and the sit ups are impressive.
Also very impressed by all you brave souls with the pics. What gorgeous girlies you are I'm A. not that brave and B. technologically incompetent so can't see me joining you anytime soon!
MLS Glad to see you back. Was quite scary to move onwards and upwards without your funny posts. I'm definitely telling immediate family and very close friends early next time too. It's just too hard to say "I was pg but I'm not..." My mum has requested notification as soon as the 2nd line appears so she can help out more with DD!
Gracie What is it with men? We don't ask them to count days, symptom spot, check mucus or anything and yet they still freak out. Wimps!
4ever Still no news? I'm not keen on the catsuit idea and my hair only flicks out when I don't want it to but I'd do it for you!
LBS Here is the right place to symptom spot. Hope slight niggles become obvious clues and a sticky bean!
Kate 4 weeks - how exciting! Definitely looking forward to you posting your pics. I predict AF will be here in 2 weeks so you can have a true honeymoon baby!
Phew! I'm exhausted now. Waves to Blue Lion Annie Mermaid VJay and anyone else I've missed.

bluesatinsash · 08/04/2009 08:53

Mollie - that should have read grin] xx

MummyLovesSadie · 08/04/2009 08:56

Good morning everyone! Just wanted to say I'm sooo happy for the newly pregnant ladies & I have a funny positive feeling in my bones for the rest of us..... could we be seeing a batch of new beans in the very near future??

Neeko · 08/04/2009 09:10

Morning MLS Hope you're right. Have started re-reading the conception and fertility book I read before I became pg with my DD so hoping it'll do it's magic again. (If oly AF would get here...)

mermaidspurse · 08/04/2009 09:17

4ever ok in dressing gown.... by the time I shower find socks etc I want to hear about your results, so you have about half an hour. Hope you managed to sleep and not worry to much.

VJaybigpants · 08/04/2009 09:24

Happy birthday sabs and curly

mollie I woke up thinking of you today, I had the same spotting as you with ds, just around testing time, I thought it was a light period but got suspicious when it wasn't heavy etc... took a test and there he was. I had bleeding with him in the early weeks too, so try not to panic too much xxxxx and congratulations xxxxx

barbie1 · 08/04/2009 09:29

vjay do you think you are having a boy?????

OP posts:
VJaybigpants · 08/04/2009 09:43

Yes I do actually, why do you think I am?

barbie1 · 08/04/2009 09:47

yes because you keep saying he and him!!!
But i do think you are having a boy, not sure why...and i think sabs is having a girl and lion a boy....
We should start a sweep stake!

OP posts:
mermaidspurse · 08/04/2009 09:50

vjay I reckon barbie has found her vocation. Hope you are feeling ok by the way you are speeding along now,I remember how scary it was when you were spotting and you will soon be in extra large pants! Your ds looks full of character Guess I am going to have to work out how to put a photo on soon!

VJaybigpants · 08/04/2009 09:50

I didn't realise I keep saying he and him, oops , well we'll find out in 2 weeks, but I will only tell you ladies if you can keep it a secret I also think this one will weigh in at 10lbs or more, not that I want it to, just that with ds being 9lbs 3oz and they say they get bigger.....

barbie1 · 08/04/2009 09:52

ouch

OP posts:
VJaybigpants · 08/04/2009 09:53

Hi mermaid I'm in the extra large already!!! I can't wait to find out now to see if barbie is right
I'm 20 weeks today and yes it is going a bit fast now, we said we would wait until 20 weeks until thinking about prams, names etc and now it's here, I think we will wait until after the scan now.

barbie1 · 08/04/2009 09:53

i put a protective hand between my legs at your last post vjay

OP posts:
VJaybigpants · 08/04/2009 09:54

Yes ouch it was, I had forceps on top of that too, but I think I'll wait until nearer the time for birthing stories, I've been blocking ds's out.
