mm not too sure on epo, just its been mentioned to me a hundred times over last few months, so i googled and it seems it might regulate periods, or in my case bring it on? we shall see.

Thankfully i got out of driving last night dh decided to play football with a few guys from work so i just sat and ate my chocolate cake yum! however i have no excuses for this evening so im off to buy a crash helmet and to get an ejector button fitted in the car (just in case!)

ps so jealous of you drinking wine, you just cant get in over here unless you have a licence....and yep it all depends on the bloody visa

mollie is your hospital appointment today? please come back and fill us in on it pretty lady, i have everything crossed for you that you get good results

Im off to the pool........

Morning all

Blue - re vits - I take the Pregnacare Conception ones. I needed some more yesterday so spent ages reading the packet and trying to work out the difference between those and ordinary Pregnacare - there are some things in it that are supposed to increase CM and also a lot more Vit B6, which I've heard people take for conception.

It might be the months of GFJ drinking, or it might be the Pregnacare Conception that I started taking 2 months ago, but I've seen a lot more EWCM

Feeling a bit better about life, the universe and everything else today. I bloat up so badly around AF time, I just feel hideous - like a beached whale The bloating started to go down yesterday evening though - was up to pee 3 times in the night !! so I am feeling a bit more normal. This has improved post MC - I used to bloat from around 4 days post ov.

sifuentes · 17/02/2009 09:08

bonjour tout le monde
mm re the vitamins - my naturopath gave me some multivits and DHA(?) oils(prob like pregnacare but a bit more hippy) but I said should I wait? because we won't have been taking them for three months and she said normally she says to people take 3 months to get properly healthy and I should wait a month if I can. but you could see she knew I wasn't going to and didn't seem to be too disapproving. She was more concerned about DP's drinking more than he should have been. Bless him though he didn't have a drop yesterday.

I'm feeling a bit this morning cos met my Dad for breakfast and he was saying how he really hopes I do have a baby soon so that my mum can have a grandchild. She has all but retired - he hasn't - and she's getting a bit bored and blue. She is totally fit and sporty and loves playing with my step dcs (6 and 7) and all her mates have their own dgcs... ahhh and my mum is sooo lovely she will make the best grandmama. So all fingers are crossed for a) conception and b) excellent quality eggs and sperm this month.

Sorry to be a bit gloomy. Certainly don't want to bring the thread down. I promise I will perk up later.

Hope you are all very well. Jealous of 'just nipping to the pool', barbie. I could really do with a bit of that at the moment!

4everhopeful · 17/02/2009 09:59

Morning ladies! Glad to bring smiles to you all with me & DH shennanigans! He is what keeps me sane! (or not! )

Lovely to see a few more of you - sif and lionstar good to see all going well for you!

Am reading the whole detox/vit debate with interest. I been on sanatogen pro natal for nearly 2 yrs now! (do you get immune do you think?!) Consultant reckons its good as rest and dont need extra folic dosage? Cut the caffiene & alcohol out completely each PG (also on the Pg tips caff free!) but, feel a need to rebel and have spent the last 2 weeks drinking real coffee (bags, yum!), & having a sneaky glass of rose! DH isnt a big drinker, a bottle or 3 of ale at the weekend and my sneaky glass is a weekend thing too, but now thinking oooh should our bodies be total shrines pre-conception? Its not like we're on benders! my lil bottle of rose lasts all weekend and into the week even!? Oh well shant worry too much, got hol 3 weeks today and am looking forward to our all inc deal. I'm sooooo good during PG & after all we been through I figure its beneficial to let my hair down a bit!

Cor - poor barbie no wine?! Cant you sneak into one of those lovely hotels on jumeriah beach (or pay for a pool day) so you can get your fill?! Oh dear - get me talking about wine at 9.45am...

VJay · 17/02/2009 10:28

Thanks for the heads up mm and blue re the bus at the zoo.
As for vitamins I've been taking pregnacare since before the 2nd mc, and I'm still taking it now. Boots usually have it in their buy 3 for the price of 2 offer, which helps.
We've started to tell famly and friends now about baby, but just remember you were all the frist to know and thankyou for keeping it a secret with me

mm1509 · 17/02/2009 12:06

Hello ladies,

Just off the phone to the hospital about my blood results and the secretary has told us that they have all came back negative and the consultant will be in touch with us. Feeling kind of strange atm, don't know if I should be happy or not. Thinking I should be happy but then it begs the question why have we had 3 mcs in 10 months? I guess we will wait and see what the consultant has to say.

Thanks for all the info on vits, I have been taking pregnacare for around 18 months but thought someone might have info on the vits that Lesley Reagan recommended for both of you before ttc, I might order her book and see what she says. DH and I are thinking we might just give this one more go so want to do everything we can to make this one successful.

mollie thinking about you today, let us know how you get on.

barbie sounds like getting your visa is becoming like the holy grail Good luck tonight with the driving.

vjay how exciting starting to tell others of your baby, so happy for you.

barbie1 · 17/02/2009 13:05

mm i knew it was you that also had a wait for hospital results...so you are normal then young lady? i remember sitting at the table with you in scotland and you wondering what to do if your results came back normal....idnt think we ever came up with an anser did we? well the good news is that there is nothing wrong so to speak so lets be greatful for that at least, now we just have to work out waht has been going on with poor little you, i hope your doctors can give you answers soon enough. If i had a wine glass i would raise it for you because you have a clean bill of health at the very least

vjay we have taken to friday brunches...the one where you can have as much to eat and drink as you like for a set price. normally taking place thurs eve and frid as its our weekends now. The last one was messy a few too many vodkas and and an early night (but not in that way )

I have landed myself a job interview for thursday, closing day to apply isnt until next week so im guessing i made such an impression that they want to see me sooner ha ha i hope so, it really is boring without work, i know you all think im crazy but its true. Im so independent that having no money or car of my own really is getting to me

barbie I know we didn't come up with the answer back in Largs, I need to see what the doc says but at the very least we will give it one more go and see what happens. I feel since the first mc we have kind of been putting life on hold so at some point it will have to stop........hopefully when we are holding our LO. Good news on the interview, need to start some serious job hunting myself, don't know when I am finishing but hopefully it's sooner rather than later. I'm sure they will love you as much as we all do......how could they not xxx.

VJay · 17/02/2009 14:44

Good luck for the job interview on Thursday barbie and good luck with the driving tonight!!!
mm I know what you mean about your results, you think that if they show up something then you can be treated and everything will be alright. It is good they came back clear, though it doesn't help you accept that you've had very bad luck. That's what my doctor told me, 'you've been very unlucky'...it really doesn't help, especially as I wanted answers and reasons for everything.
I've had mixed emotions telling people, so much that there are still quite a lot to tell. Everyone is congratulating us, but we still feel very cautious, but that's just what mc does to you I think.
Wow just re-read my post, a bit gloomy sorry.
on a more cheery note I've just made some bread, leek and potato soup and a madeira cake, anyone want some

bluesatinsash · 17/02/2009 15:17

Hey MM - I'm feeling your mixed emotions re: your test results coming back clear (if somethig showed up then they could 'fix' it) but you have been given the a-ok which can only be positive. I do agree with Vjay (backed up by my consultant) that most mc are just 'bad luck'. I turned down tests as in my heart I didn't think they would find anything and that my mc's were down to ageing eggs - I just hope there are a few sporty ones left!

Jools - glad your feeling better today! I used to take both pregnacare brands but spookily they ran out on the day of my mmc scans so I have filed them in the 'jinxed' bin and moved back to general ones as they have the same folic acid level. I may order some Zita West one's next time around or might just stick to Boots own brand..

Vjay - lovely to hear your family know now - are you showing yet? They do say you just ping out second time around .

Good luck on Thurs barbie and with the dirving tonight - keep your eyes on the road and your hads upon the wheel (think that's aline form a Doors song...)

Better dash, DS has a playdate and I better wake him up x

bluesatinsash · 17/02/2009 15:20

splleing gnoe to pto

4everhopeful · 17/02/2009 15:34

Hey mm understand the mixed emotions too - half wants an answer and a 'cure'. I was mixed as to not finding any answers to my tests, as consultant said; 'you dont want any of these ailments as they are with you for life and dont just affect mc', however i'm still off to pay for a private test tomorrow for NK cells just in case and really hoping it will be positive so we have the answer as to why, and the cure... Hang in there tho.. The rollercoaster can only go onwards and upwards from here do you like what i did there?!?!

Barbie wishing you lots of luck with the interview and the driving! Glad you're not absteining completely and still get to induldge a little!

It is my DDDDDDDDDDDDH birthday tomorrow, not to bring things down, but we found out we lost no 2 on his birthday last year, and it was his 30th . We'd just come back from a fab valentines in venice as well... Anyway gonna turn things around this year, even tho going to this private hospital Parkside, for blood tests for the NK cells! Shouldnt take long at all, and its in wimbledon so we will mooch around the village and go for something yummy to eat afterwards... I just want to lavish him with gifts and love, so thats what I'm gonna do!

Anyway ladies, am working (ahem) til 5.30pm so will pop back in a mo! xxxxxx

4everhopeful · 17/02/2009 15:37

Ooh just re-read my message - sure you will realise I meant DH 30th birthday, not 30th mc - my god that would be horrendous
He is my toyboy! I will be 34 in 2 weeks!

VJay · 17/02/2009 15:55

Happy birthday for tomorrow 4evers dh
Yes I am starting to show now, but it's not all baby, believe me!

VJay · 17/02/2009 15:57

4ever I'm 32 in 4 weeks! Happy Birthdays to us yey

4everhopeful · 17/02/2009 16:00

Thanks vjay! Will pass it on!
I used to be a skinny beanpole & I've put on a stone and half in the last year . I think you do ping out the more you have and my poor old confused uterus is like a bit of lycra now! Cant believe I have to parade round in a bikini in 3 weeks

mm1509 · 17/02/2009 16:01

Thanks ladies, I'm feeling fine, if I am honest deep down I knew what the results would be so I wasn't clinging on for anything else. I was talking with my best bud earlier on the phone and she said the same as 4ever if they found anything then it would be for life so I guess be careful what you wish for.

vjay I know what you mean about bad luck but I can't help but wonder at times..........btw all your lovely home cooking sounds scrumptious.

blue lets hope we both have sporty eggs left in there........surely there are still some left.

4ever don't worry we knew what you meant. Hope tomorrow goes well and that you have a fantastic time with DH.

4everhopeful · 17/02/2009 16:01

Hey fellow pisces girl! What dates yours vjay? I'm on 4th March!

mm1509 · 17/02/2009 16:18

Hey 4ever your birthday is the same date as my DDstepmum. No wonder we get on.

VJay · 17/02/2009 16:37

14th March, along with Michael Caine, Jasper Carrot and my father in law

4everhopeful · 17/02/2009 16:49

Ahh I have Patsy Kensit and cant remember who else! 10 days between us! We'll have to have a joint emmsys party - bring a cake instead of bring a bottle!

VJay · 17/02/2009 17:04

Oooooh yes lots of cake and fruit juice

Sabs1981 · 17/02/2009 21:56

hello ladies, nice to see some more familiar faces

jools hope your feeling better...good luck with the wedding preparations! Good advice from curly lionstar sooo happy we are due-date buddies! The only sad thing about my due date is that its 2 days after the day i miscarried last year. You sound like me with all your worries, even though I was lucky enough to have a scan at 7 weeks, im convinced my scan at 12 weeks will bring bad news. I also have been having more symptoms than last time, which im taking as a good sign. I just feel so sleepy and tired more than anything else. It doesnt help having to stand during my whole train journey in the mornings to work on a cramped train where no1 bothers to open a window! and to top it off, when I got to work, there was no electricity in the whole building, so i had to walk up to the 10th floor as the lifts werent working. Couldnt get any work done as all computers were out until 12.30pm, they were going to let us go home if nothing was working by 1pm! I got the letter for my midwife appointment, but its a childrens centre thats a bit further away, i wanted the place i went to last time, which is closer to home, so will try to get that changed.

vjay nearly 13 weeks - yay! Edinburgh sounds good - ive never ventured further north of Blackpool! Gosh I sound like such a southerner (even though I was born in Yorkshire!)

barbie good luck with the interview! I'm sure you will blow them away!

4ever your valentines story made me laugh and laugh! i have similar dices, big furry red ones and a small wooden set but we've never used it outside the bedroom! Happy birthday to your DH for tomorrow. I have also put on weight which is not baby weight . Ive gone up a dress size since my mc, the only good thing is that my boobs have also increased which DH is very happy about and distracts him away from the bulgy stomach bits! You'll be fine in your bikini!

blue i also used the conception pregnacare, and i got pregnant the first month of trying. I also take advantage of the buy 2, get 1 free offers at boots!

mm hope youre feeling positive after your results - thinking of you...

My birthday is 8th april...

sabs waves to jools barbie curly sifuentes and any1 else ive missed

Curlywurlee · 17/02/2009 22:00

Lionstar this is so wonderful that you are up the duff too. (Sorry if you posted and I didn't see it or have forgotten - my brain is a sieve ). I can't believe you have to wait for 12 weeks. Would you consider getting a private scan to put your mind at rest? They might do them in your area.

Good luck with the nk cells tests 4ever LOL at yours and barbies valentines / supermarkets stories. Me and DH used to have screaming rows in supermarkets just for the fun of it. We'd compete over who could make more outrageous accusations to the other. Was all hilarious till we bumped into a friend of my mums and a very shocked silence Ah well!!

sifuentes I've broken the news to DH about his boozing and he seems to be getting over it!

Big waves to Scamper MM VM Blue Mollie Mermaid Jools Vjay and anyone I've missed. I'm off to bed for some quality bd'ing - not that I'm keeping track of what day it is (yeah right, it's DAY 11!!!!!!)

Molliemooma · 17/02/2009 22:04

Just a quick update as just got in and I'm knackered and you lot have nattered too much for me to keep up

Basically the appt was a big fat waste of time, we'd already had most of our test results by letter, stating they were all clear. We were waiting for one more day 3 and a genetic one from me and DH, but guess what . . they still haven't got those. So the registrar (not the consultant) sat and told us what we knew already, she also said that it's very rare for there to be a genetic problem so as far as she's concerned we are one of the statistics of miscarriage and we should just try again and hope for the best Thanks for melting my whole emotional year 2 mm/c and a cp into one statistic love! I just knew that this would happen and had prepared myself for no answers but still feel very disappointed and frustrated. She has asked me to have a 21 day blood test as a few of these test results have shown no ovulation. She then booked a follow up appt for 3 months time, if we're not pg by then she will discuss clomid.

I am trying to look on the positive side at least we haven't been told we can never have children but I'm 37 this year, and feeling a little pressured to say the least. Also doesn't help when SIL is shedding them like peas and doing nothing but moaning about it
