Great to hear from you sabs. I'm smiling at the thought of you not being able to do up your trousers. Things have moved on so fast though it probably doesn't seem like it how many weeks now?

Well I'm off to seduce the DH. Under pressure now for gourmet sex though No bother!!!

Have fun at the party tomorrow

night all

GracieGirl · 25/03/2009 09:50

Morning all. I'm on day 19 now so AF due on april 3rd if I'm having a 28 day cycle this month. I don't want to do a test till my period is due. I'm working on some strange idea that even if physically I know I'm pregnant if I don't do a test till 4 weeks then its less of a wait till 12 weeks. Doesn't make sense at all does it??? Last time I managed to wait till 4 weeks and 5 days before doing a test.

So girls, if any of you hear me sneaking off to the cupboard where my pregnancy tests are kept before the 3rd you've got to stop me!!!

mermaidspurse · 25/03/2009 10:49

gracie I am bloody terrified, can't go anywhere near a test, I am on day 17....and don't worry you make perfect sense to me
Hi sabsbigpants enjoy your party.

4everhopeful · 25/03/2009 10:53

Morning gracie! I totally understand about not wanting to test so its less of a wait! Have done same myself before, & had idea that Id love to just ignore any lack of AF for several weeks but who am I kidding! Once agin my urge to know is just to great so will be testing tomorrow night tho AF not due til tues! Im a glutton for punishment! I admire your willpower & will look after your cupboard keys til the 3rd!

I had lots of fun on here yesterday! What a bunch of chatterboxes we all are! Big waves and kisses to mermaid barbie mollie juicyblue(!) ginger curlywurleelittlepants vjaybigpants & sabsbigpants! I think the bigpants thing is a great idea as have been confused a bit (nothing new there then!)

I just popped onto find my link for the LIT test thing and am gonna call a private doc to see how much it may set me back - my own consultant 'doesn't like e-mail consultations' so hasnt replied to me yet, the sod. When PG he has replied instantly so I know he reads them, only when entirely essential does he reply but tends to ignore my random questions which is a bit crap of him. Anyway will see if I need to go & work the streets to pay privately! Will let you know! Have a good day everyone! xxxx

4everhopeful · 25/03/2009 10:55

OOh x posts again! Morning mermaid!

4everhopeful · 25/03/2009 11:49

Well... just spoke to private docs secretary at Gt portland st & found out tests for LIT & consultation are £400ish & treatment is about £850, with another £400 for screening tests for DH, as would be DH white blood cells given to me by transfusion! Then theres a 3 month ttc window! Obviously cant be PG so if I get a -ive result tomorrow I will consider going for it. If i'm +ive it will be a case of going through it on a wing & a prayer & aspirin & progest supps & hope, but at least will know if it fails again, I can def pursue this option at Gt Portland st. Its great just to have an option & a PLAN again. After all tests on NHS were clear, then the private Natural Killer cells test was also clear, I'd lost hope a bit. Thats why I could really relate to you wanting something to be wrong barbie! To hear 'we dont know why' can be a bit soul destroying.. Strangely tho am still hoping I am PG that this will be the one that makes it & wont have to go through all that! Its just that aching desire we all have to be PG ASAP! xx

mermaidspurse · 25/03/2009 12:44

4ever Yes that tiny little word PLAN is really important to us now - I think that sounds very positive and sensible. Its expensive but not omg lets mortgage the house this week - In your situation sweetiepie I would be doing just the same.

My PLAN is extinct after the bloody consultant went home and it got signed off so I have to go back to the gp and start again but with what I am not sure. I know that lovely lady at epu will whisk me in for a scan if I needed one and I have her direct line which is nice but appart from that I am back in no (wo)mans land.
I do have a recommendation for accupuncture though, perhaps you should do that too???? in for a penny etc etc.

So great testing day tomorrow, I don't know how much of me I can cross, should have gone to that yoga class, but we are all here .xxxxx

barbie1 · 25/03/2009 12:55

coo weeeee. hello ladies!

Well what a giggle we had yesterday! im loving all the pants...barbiehasjuicypants good idea, nah i dont think so!
So im all for calling myself barbiebigpants some time very soon and i think its a great way to remember who is up the duff, and its a giggle too.

curley i was so ecited when i read your post...especially this bit ''I do have a sneaky suspicion that we will have quite a lot of good news on our forum this month"
I reall thought you were going to tell us you were pregnant, or do you know something we dont???

sabs glad you found your way back here, enjoy the party tonight, you should invite mollie she has a thing about parties

4ever what a lot of money! but like you said its so much easier to be positive when you have a plan..lets hope that you dont need to spend all that money and things will work its self out.

gracie step away for the cupboard....i repeat ....step away from the cupboard. barbie adjust megaphone to loudest volume just so gracie gets the message!

ginger its still v early to test so dont loose hope, i have everything crossed for you!

mollie and mm hiya girlies xx

whoops....hi mermaid how could i forget you my lovely?

I think we should all try acupunture, im up for it! Thats great news that you have a contact for a scan, lets hold you will be needing to make the call soon...

OP posts:
mermaidspurse · 25/03/2009 13:14

morning barbie or is it evening for you out there?
I hope you are feeling a little bit better today, the gearing up for the results is worse that getting the news in some ways.
I hope you are trying to take it easy though. Do you reckon we can get a virtual discount on accupuncture?
Im going to be brave and find the number now.

VJaybigpants · 25/03/2009 13:14

Lol sabs thanks for joining me and not making me look a total twonk

gingermumi · 25/03/2009 13:15

$ever you are as daft as me! Am going to test tomorrow too (due mon)..have no willpower what so ever!

Mermaid, thats rough, wot happened to consultant then?

Hi to one and all, am at work so shouldnt really be on here!

barbie1 · 25/03/2009 13:20

I fell fine today, sometimes its the not knowing thats the worse part....added to the fact im such a drama queen
I have looked into acupunture and its about £5o a session out here, you should be looking at about £30 back home. Check with your gp though as some are really into all of this and will recommed someone for you. A friend of mine had 9 sessions free on the nhs so just a thought! I waiting for an email back from bupa to see if they will let me have some too, a bit cheeky but you never know
Im just keeping busy with my mum, been to the beach and a mall and know im sore from sunburn due to the fact i finally ventured into the sea for the first time today, therefore caught so much more sun than i intended and we were only out for a hour....Been driving everywhere and i fee l so much more relaxed about it, so one less thing to worry about ticked off the list.

OP posts:
mermaidspurse · 25/03/2009 13:30

us? drama queens? never!
gingermumi tomorrow for you too? fingers firmly crossed.
In a nutshell waited to se Consultant for 1 and a half hours, so seen by registrar instead, half an hour to 'find' our results, faxes, calls etc etc by which time consultant had gone home and we get signed off - not had enough emotional energy to make a fuss or kick start it all again yet.
Yes I will give the drs dragon receptionist something to laugh at and ask about needles.
vjaybigpants you dont look a twonk you look very round to me

4everhopeful · 25/03/2009 15:03

Oh mermaid dont have that hon, recharge your emotional energy and kick off! It cant be 'signed off'?! My recurrent mc specialists job was to do all the (negative) tests, then oversee all future PGs & recommend whatever treatment (aspirin)is appropriate alongside lots of reassurance scans at EPU, the care is ongoing. Your appt was with the consultant & there F up meant you didnt see him so re-arrange another apt & write a list. We need a PLAN.

4everhopeful · 25/03/2009 15:27

Had to rush off as manager arranging one to ones regarding redundancies - mine is one of 11 roles out of 104 thats 'safe' (for now, phew) but will result in a move to office off oxford st - dont wanna commute, only takes 15 mins to drive in now.. Also when PG again, no way standing on a train in rush hour... Been hanging over us for last 2yrs so no shock, just more crap & uncertainty in my life which is not needed when trying to be positive!

Anyway, where was I? Oh yes - come out come out militant mermaid! Seriously tho hon, don't have it..

As for acupuncture absolutely HATE needles, but if needs must may consider joining you all - can we all hold hands? Am still intrigued by this new test possibility, alot of money, but what price a longed for lo eh? But will wait to see what tomorrow brings

barbie cant believe you've not been in the sea yet?!? One of the most amazing things I loved about Dubai was that the sea is like a bath! Iv never felt hot sea before it was awesome! Hope you & mum are having fun!

Ginger fingers crossed for tomorrow for us both then!

Oh yea, also just spoke to PG friend & was very honest about my feelings again, she said she didnt want to 'rub it in' talking about 12 week scan & I told her it made her seem blase & then we both laughed about analyzing each other, so thats good! She is a good old friend so I said as long as we are both honest about our feelings we'll be fine!

Better go! MDs are lurking! xxxx

bluesatinsash · 25/03/2009 15:44

Hey All,

Think 'big pants' add-on should be made compulsory upon reaching 12 weeks apart from barbie who has to have barbiejuicybigpants

My acupuncture is free (yay!) on NHS but like everything may differ from region to region. My next sesh is next week and I'm looking forward to it already (no seriously I am its so relaxing...) and 4ever - I hate needles BIG time but its nothing like getting your blood taken.

Mermaid - don't understand why you can be 'signed off' - as 4ever says surely your not 'signed off' until you have your longed for lo? I would stomp up and down and be demanding.

4ever - eeek! re: your work but at least you knew it was coming, hope it works out OK.

I'm d-mob happy today as finish up tonight until 6th April and its the first annual leave since last summer that I'm guaranteed not to mc in the middle of.

Later ladies x

VJaybigpants · 25/03/2009 15:58

Hi, well I've just gone and ordered myself a doppler. After lots of thoughts on the subject, I've gone and done it. DH is unsure because if I can't find a hb I will panic, but I will try and keep a sensible head on my shoulders, and you can still hear them move. I've looked at quite a few on the internet and settled for an angelsounds doppler, it should arrive in a couple of days.

4ever hope your job doesn't get too stressful, you don't need the stress, but it maybe a good distaction.

barbie hope you enjoyed the sea, I love the way 4ever says it's like a bath....bliss. Hello to your mum too, hope you both have a fun 2 weeks.

Hi blue after tomorrow I'm off until the 14th April, ds is off too, but it will mean no mad rush in the mornings, I can't wait.

mermaid I keep checking you're not sitting here with me, I am looking very round!!!!!

Well off to clean the bathroom, very random thing to put, but that's what I'm about to do

GracieGirl · 25/03/2009 18:34

Evening girls! Good to see I'll have to run past Barbie with a very loud megaphone and then nick cupboard keys from 4ever before I can try to do a test early. Actually my last cycle was only 26 days so I might negotiate with Barbie and 4ever to do a sneaky test on April Fools day - lets see nearer the time.

Something rather odd happened today. I have a friend that goes to see a clairvoyant quite regulary and has been trying to convince me to go with her for ages. Its really not my thing so I've always refused. But hey its been a funny few months so I agreed and said that I would go with her if she could get me an appointment before I got pregnant again. Anyway, I walked in, the psychic woman looked me up and down and said "you've only come here to find out about a baby". Found it pretty hard to keep a blank expression at that point, so she knew she'd hit the nail right on the head. then she just said "You don't have to worry, you'll be pregnant very soon". I didn't say a word back to her. She also said she could see 2 babies, but couldn't say whether that was twins or 2 very close together pregnancies. How weird!! What do you make of that girls?

VJaybigpants · 25/03/2009 18:40

ooooh gracie I hope it all comes true xxx

4everhopeful · 26/03/2009 08:27

Morning all! Just read your post gracie Thats pretty amazing! Same as you, Iv been debating going myself, never have before, but with everything thats happened am quite desperate to know if will eventually be a mum so am quite tempted, specially if get one like yours!

mermaidspurse · 26/03/2009 09:54

oh gracie that's spooky, so we are all going for accupuncture and mediums, whats next on the list reckon we should just work our way through everything!
blue lovely long break that sounds divine, it must feel like summer holidays!
4ever you are 1 in 11 important people out of 104? wow, respect for being essential, and a commute to Oxford St sounds very exotic to a country bumpkin like me. Still its more upheavel you dont need at the minute.
vjaybigroundpants you did me a favour cos I remembered after rading your post that I to had a bathroom which needed cleaning.
barbie It is absolutely pg it here its blowing a gale and you can go in a sea as warm as a bath. Your mum picked a good time to visit.
gingermumi thinking of you testing today, I am wondering if I have one stashed in my dh sock drawer
Thanks 4ever and blue feeling a bit more mouseymermaid than militant, I think it all just threw me a bit, will gather some energy cos you are so right about the PLAN.
Right off to look in look drawer.

gingermumi · 26/03/2009 09:55

That gave me goose bumps gracie! Weird or what...?

barbie, sounds like you're having a good time with your mum an well done with your driving

Mermaid, that's not on, you should really complain, when i was pregnant with ds we were fobbed off by some idiot who couldn't have cared less (despite midwife questioning his judgement!) and then got rushed into hosp as an emergency, vowed never to be pushed around again. Like you I had no emotional energy left. Same chap had said to me earlier in preg that i couldn't be in that much pain with my fibroid and to basically get on with it. again i didnt say any thing. I think they take advatage of how you feel and just get rid of you 'cos it easier and they can quite literally 'go home' earlier.

VJ i had a doppler and it was brill. Dh was better at finding heart beat than me (try very low on your bump towards the side).

4ever- well...have you done it? I have, BFN but still early days. Good luck huni

Like pants idea blue - bet you're looking forward to yor time off, anything planned?

Anyway DS asleep so am going to make a rubarb crumble - bit short of food in house and don't want to go shopping so am going to see if rhubarb in garden worth eating, at least pudding is covered and dh can take it to work instead of biscuits!

Waves to all, 'see' you later

mermaidspurse · 26/03/2009 09:56

or even sock drawer
