Did you concieve using the withdrawal method?

Ok, we did the deed on day 18 of my cycle. Dh withdrew before "you know what" and day 18 was after my egg-whitey mucus stuff.

But our children have been concieved very easily (first month of trying) so I'm well aware that I could be and as "It only take one" and we seem to be Mr&Mrs fertile the odds seem to swing towards a +ve rather than a -ve.

Did you concieve with the withdrawal method but after your usual time for ovulation (our 3 children were concieved between days 12-15 of my cycle).

I'll be going to the chemist after the school run so I will know for sure later today but wanted to do a quick poll to see how many have on here.

BTW I'm am a regular poster but don't want to bradcast my potential news just yet as a few RL people who know me use this site.

Toothache · 11/04/2005 09:33

Oops posts crossed! Don't give up yet. My positive was so faint and didn't show until I picked it out the bin a short while later. I are you sure it's negative?? It's quite early, perhaps it is rrrrrreally faint.

Nemo1977 · 11/04/2005 09:33

the ob hasnt started singing yet hun so it could just be too early

Hmmmmmmm · 11/04/2005 09:33

It's a first response test so doubt it's too early to test.

Very confused why theres no sign of AF now.

big big hugs to you honney,

Earlybird · 11/04/2005 09:34

Thought you were supposed to pee first thing in the morning in order to get a proper reading. Maybe try again when you wake tomorrow?

nailpolish · 11/04/2005 09:34

dont chuck it is the bin, mine sat on the loo top all day til i got a result

did you get a double test kit?

Nemo1977 · 11/04/2005 09:34

hmmm the first response pick up 25units of hcg so are actuslly same as clearblue etc....it can be too early if u only ovd 12 days ish ago as it can take 6-18days for implantation

Nemo1977 · 11/04/2005 09:35

Np lol..i do thst even if it is an evaporation line its better than nothing...

Hmmmmmmm · 11/04/2005 09:37

I didn't know that Nemo (first res and clear blue being the same), Clearblue said -ve when I was expecting DS2.

maybe all hope is not lost.

should have gone to Boots.

Np, no only a single test, thats all they had in the chemist.

Toothache · 11/04/2005 09:47

Hmmmmmmmmmmm - Boots own tests did it for me.

At least if you're not this month it seems you and DH have certainly reached a decision that you definitely want to try for another baby!
