Ok, we did the deed on day 18 of my cycle. Dh withdrew before "you know what" and day 18 was after my egg-whitey mucus stuff.

But our children have been concieved very easily (first month of trying) so I'm well aware that I could be and as "It only take one" and we seem to be Mr&Mrs fertile the odds seem to swing towards a +ve rather than a -ve.

Did you concieve with the withdrawal method but after your usual time for ovulation (our 3 children were concieved between days 12-15 of my cycle).

I'll be going to the chemist after the school run so I will know for sure later today but wanted to do a quick poll to see how many have on here.

BTW I'm am a regular poster but don't want to bradcast my potential news just yet as a few RL people who know me use this site.

I wish Toothache, he sounded abit disappointed but I doubt he'll agree to actually trying....

He didn't mind and was pleased because the descision was taken out of our hands on this one, we chose to try for the Ds's and this one would have been an accident.

Test still hasn't changed, although I have realised I didn't follow the instructions perfectly, had the test up side down, I doubt that makes a differnce to the results though.

Hmmmmmmmm I had a false negative, in between DS1 and DS2 (subsequently had an early miscarriage, but that's another story).

LOL at Toothache! Suffice to say, it won't be me - you have to have sex to get pregnant, and I'm always too tired (Yaaaawwwnnnn!)

dinosaur · 11/04/2005 10:12

p.s. I have an inkling who you are but am not going to say!

Hmmmmmmm · 11/04/2005 10:13

I'm not a prolific poster if that helps. A regular yes, but not prolific.

OP posts:
dinosaur · 11/04/2005 10:14

Ooh, define "prolific"!

Nemo1977 · 11/04/2005 10:14

hmmm i havent a clue who u r but then i have memory like a seive

Hmmmmmmm · 11/04/2005 10:17

We're quite an exclusive club, with 3 boys and I'm not Cod, goobledigook, you, jimjams.

Errrr why am I giving so many clues........

I hate being secretive but one RL person in particular will say I concucted this on purpose so would rather she didn't know.

Just take the decision out his hands again....

I'm sure there aren't many men that would rather withdraw at that moment than stay inside for the duration!

As Billy Connelly says: At the moment of climax there aren't enough wild horses on earth that could drag his arse back the way!! lol

Hmmmmmmm · 11/04/2005 10:44

I couldn't TC, that was I was so nervous about telling him in the first place.

He said he'd never think I did it on purpose.

I'd never be able to live with the secret. Tempting as it is I'd be beside myself with guilt and he'd work it out straight away.

does he think you are on some other form of contraception? if you have sex and use the withdrawal method then there is a great chance you get pg! so how would it be your fault?

Hmmmmmmm · 11/04/2005 10:52

No, I haven't been on the pill for about 8 years and we've used condoms for all of that time, well obviously not all the time but YKWIM.

OP posts:
nailpolish · 11/04/2005 10:54

well you shouldnt feel guilty if you get pg. it takes two, and if he knows you are not on the pill and he decides withdrawal is the contraception of choice then so be it! and anyway, if you were pg he would be happy. so there!

Done another test (boots own) and it's still negative.

The not-pg line isn't solid though and I can't remember if it was with my other tests. Does anyone know if that line should be solid and clear as it's sort of spotty and broken up.
Could this test be faulty?

It would be + sign in the box if it was positive.

Think I'm just clutching at straws really.

Oh well, just one of those unexplained late AF's I suppose.

Yes, TWICE.
First one; day 9 after start of AF.
Second; day 8.
Both boys.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm is not me!

My DSs are stepkids and I would have had to had them at 10 & 11.5 if they were mine biologically !!!!!!!!!!! I don;t refer to them as StepDS or SDS because they feel as much a part of my family as my bioDD does. I don't like to draw a line in the sand where the kids are concerned.

FWIW, the withdrawal method has been a pretty reliable form of contraception for DH and I, over the past 2.5 years. Not one accident. A good record I think.
