Have been ttc now for 17 months - cycle is more or less 26 days, and I assumed that I should be bding on day 12 but do you think it would be possible to get pg by doing the deed on day 10 and furthermore for me to be experiencing feelings of morning sickness as early as day 18? For the last three mornings I have woke up with terrible headaches and today I have been feeling really grotty all day with terrible waves of naseau and no appetite (which is really not like me).

Not so good today Amelied - thought I was ok but not so sure now. Was just thinking what a difference a week makes - last week I was so happy and now I feel like shit and really angry - still having symptoms too which is so cruel. So kind of you to check on me - hope you're doing okay too xxx

Hi Alibobster

Im sorry pet - life is so cruel at times.

I have learned to take one day at a time. It is very annoying to witness women who sail through their pregnancies, even planning what month they want to get pregnant so it suits a particular time in their lives?

...and then there is us who have to wait, wait and wait for the BFP's, maybe have to take fertility drugs, each day hoping and praying that they have their chance to become a mother.

I can understand your anger. You will go through a whole range of emotions - but remember it is only natural to feel this and don't be too hard on yourself.

best wishes x

Hi Alibobster

I just saw on your profile that you are outside Glasgow - me too!

What hospital did you go to?

Alibobster · 25/03/2009 17:21

I went to Vale of Leven which is my local hospital and the midwives are brilliant but it's only a midwife led unit, there's no consultants so I wouldn't be having baby there. Had ds at Southern General.

Hi Aliobster
Not long now untill Monday - how are you doing today? I'm probably not going to be able to post between now and Monday, so I hope everything goes well and you get some good news. Everything is crossed for you

amelied · 27/03/2009 08:16

Hi Alibobster

The Southern is near where I live although it is the RAH in Paisley where I attend. Found them really good.

Hope this post finds you well
x

Alibobster · 27/03/2009 10:42

Hi Littlebellsmum and Amelied, really nice to hear from you. I'm doing ok thanks. Spoke to midwife today to ask what would happen if pregnancy didn't continue. She was really nice and said there is still a chance things could be ok. Trying not to get hopes up but deep down I am. If it doesn't work out then it's just not meant to be and I'll just have to try again. I'm a lot luckier than some people as I have my ds and he is an absolute joy. Have a good weekend ladies and I'll speak to you on Monday - Alison xxx

P.S Amelied If I ever do have another baby you can come and visit me in the Southern! x

Hey Alibobster, just dropped by on your post to see how you were. Really sorry about the possible bad news. Your head must be all over the place. I will be thinking of you tomorrow and hoping you see that heart beat.
Big hugs xx

amelied · 30/03/2009 08:53

Hope all goes well today Alibobster x

Floatylight · 30/03/2009 09:28

Good luck for today Alibobster x

JumpingJellyfish · 30/03/2009 09:45

Been watching this thread - so sorry you didn't have better news at your last scan but really hoping today's somehow gives you hope again. I have a friend who recently experienced a missed miscarriage, and after TTC for 20 months too, and know how horribly devastated she was. Luckily 3 months later she fell pregnant again and her baby is due in a month. Thinking of you lots xx

amelied · 31/03/2009 08:34

Just checking in to see how you are?

Alibobster · 31/03/2009 10:28

Hi ladies, I am so touched that you have posted to see how I am - unfortunately, yesterday brought bad news- the pregnancy is only measuring at 5 weeks and not progressing. I was expecting bad news so I wasn't upset. There was never an embryo, only yolk sac and in a way that makes me feel better, there was never a baby to start with. My heart goes out to all these women who see a heartbeat only to be told bad news later on. At least now I now where I stand and can get back to trying again - unfortunatley I have to have a D&C tomorrow which will probably be a bit traumatic, but I'll gain strength from all the lovely people who have posted to me. God bless you all, and good luck to you for the future - Alison xxx

Been watching this thread over the past week, hope you don't mind.

So sorry about yesterday's sad news but well done for having such a positive outlook. Will be thinking of you tomorrow. x

amelied · 31/03/2009 10:59

Hi Alison

Im so sorry. I had a blighted ovum with my first miscarriage. The D&C is less traumatic than you think. The pesseries was the worst part for me.

Will be thinking of you tomorrow.

Best wishes

JumpingJellyfish · 31/03/2009 11:00

I'm so sorry it was bad news. Wishing you all the strength to get through tomorrow and hope you also find the strength to keep trying.

Be gentle on yourself- sending you lots of hugs xx

guineamango · 31/03/2009 19:42

Oh Alibob, I'm so sorry it wasn't the news we were all praying for. I really had hoped that everything would work out for you. All the very best for tomorrow, and for the future. I pray that you are blessed with a child when the time is right. XX

littlebellsmum · 31/03/2009 20:27

Sorry it was such rubbish news, Ali.
The Emmsys Angles thread is great if you want to talk to others who have been through/ going through the same.

You did really well to prepare yourself for bad news - I'm just no good at that ( ever the optomisict is not always good)

Take care of yourself - eat lots of chocolate and have a lovely large glass of wine

MumOfBaby · 31/03/2009 21:31

Aww.. I've come along late and only read the first two pages, but what a lovely story. Just go to show, instincts and intuition are always right!! Congrats Alibob.

We've just started TTC and I actually feel nervous incase I can't conceive IYSWIM.

MumOfBaby · 31/03/2009 21:32

Im so so sorry I had only read the first two pages.

That'll teach me.

Hope you're ok.

Xx

Alibobster · 01/04/2009 23:01

Hi everyone - had ERPC today and everything went fine. I am actually feeling really well, both mentally and physically (although I'm sure i'll have my moments). Had the procedure done in the Vale of Leven hospital which has had a lot of bad press recently however the care I got today could not have been better - everyone who dealt with me from nurses to porters were fantastic and so nice to me, it just made the whole thing a lot easier x

littlebellsmum · 02/04/2009 21:06

Hi Ali
Pleased that everything went well - as you say, you'll probably have moments.
If you want to look on the bright side, it shows that you can get pregnant and you are supposedly more fertile post mc, so it couold be your turn very soon....
Take care of your self, give yourself time and eat lots of chocolate
