Have been ttc now for 17 months - cycle is more or less 26 days, and I assumed that I should be bding on day 12 but do you think it would be possible to get pg by doing the deed on day 10 and furthermore for me to be experiencing feelings of morning sickness as early as day 18? For the last three mornings I have woke up with terrible headaches and today I have been feeling really grotty all day with terrible waves of naseau and no appetite (which is really not like me).

I knew I wouldn't feel like going out drinking but decided to do test anyway. Could not believe when it flashed up 'pregnant'. DH bouht me a CB digital in Asda and it confimed saying conception 1-2 weeks ago.Guineamango I hope evrything works out for you and you to Annasbananas if you are ttc x

Alibobster

Omigod, Congratulations!!!

Sorry, I have been missing in action and obviously not seen your fantastic news. What a fantastic story.

I'm chuffed to bits for you - just look after yourself and keep posting how you are doing.

You have made my day
Amelied

Alibobster · 05/03/2009 20:31

Thanks Amelied, I still can't believe it myself. I was supposed to be at hospital yesterday for follow up appointment after my initial investigations and blood tests etc. I phoned to let them know and they've re-booked me in for 16th March for a scan. I was really hoping that they would have seen me yesterday and did a scan then but I suppose it's a bit early. I just can't believe I'm finally pregnant and I now don't have any symptoms. I suppose lack of AF and two + hpt's should convince me but I won't be happy until I see a wee heartbeat x

Alibobster- just read your thread and it has brought a huge smile to my face, and given me lots of hope too. Many, many congratulations- wishing you and your little bean lots of good luck

My cycle is also fairly short, and you've made me think we could well be missing ovulation too, so going to try the BDing every other day from CD6 onwards! A very helpful thread

Alibobster · 05/03/2009 21:03

JumpingJellyFish, Glad I could be of assistance and thank you for your kind wishes.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you x

Went for early scan today - by my calculations I'm 7 wks 2 days. Midwife couldn't see heartbeat only yolk sac. She didn't seem concerned though and said that I was probably not as far on as I thought and that the yolk sac looked fine and was the right size and shape. I didn't get a + result until my Af was a week late so maybe I am only six weeks pg but I'm so worried now. Have to go back next Monday but it's going to be a long week

Hi *Alibobster" - Do not give up hope.

I am sure if you trawl the posts in the Conception folder you will find similar.

Our bodies are complex items - look on the positive - the midwife was happy with the sac's size and shape - just remember that. It is amazing how they can see these things in the first place - only millimetres in size.

I will be thinking of you this week - big deep breath now....

Alibobster, how long after your AF was due did you get that wonderful sight of a BFP?

lauraloo09 · 16/03/2009 15:31

alibobster sorry for hijacking your thread, been following it for a while.

I went for an early scan at what I and the midwife thought was 7 weeks and all that could be seen was an empty yolk sac, and I think I even posted a thread on here asking questions about it, but again like you were told it was the right shape and size and that maybe my dates were wrong. I went back for 3 other early scans (the wait between them was a nightmare and I couldn't stop thinking the worst) and the heartbeat was detected and I am now 27 weeks pregnant with a baby kicking me as I type.

Dont give up hope and I'm sure everything will be ok and soon enough you'll have your baby in your arms x

nunnie · 16/03/2009 15:39

Sorry I just looked at your earlier post.

This happened to me, I was convinced I was 6-7 weeks, went for EP scan cos of pain and only the yolk sac, which looked fine, went back 2 weeks later and there was a little bean. Please do not worry, it may just be a simple miscalculation of dates.

Alibobster · 16/03/2009 16:51

nunnie and lauraloo, thank you so much, your messages have given me hope and made me feel better about the whole thing xxx

Hi Alibobster, just read your update. I will cross my fingers and hope everything is well. Which I'm sure it is. Your midwife sounded positive. Good luck for your next scan.

Alibobster · 16/03/2009 22:57

Thanks guineamango, I'll let you know how I get on x

Sorry to be a pest again ladies but i'm beginning to think of questions I should have asked at scan yesterday! This may sound daft but they suspect my dates may be wrong but how can this be? if my LMP was 26 January then I would have been 7 weeks and 2 days yesterday. I've read plenty of threads where people have got their dates wrong but how can this be? maybe I'm just being a bit thick

HI Alibobster, I had the same issue with dd1. I went for three scans and was convinced by the secind it was all over but she's nearly 3 now - it aint over yet!!

nunnie · 17/03/2009 19:48

Alibobster, can I ask you what scan you had was it abdominal or internal. Apparently this does make a difference, an abdominal scan doesn't always pick up till 7weeks+ which could mean dates are only out by a few days.

If internal can sometimes pick up at 6 weeks+ mine was internal and think tbh I was only a few days off with my calculations, I was so shocked to be pregnant counting skills went out of the window
