Please don't be offended if you're not named, you're still welcome, I just have a rubbish memory. I can see a couple of you on November thread but there's a whole load of people not there. Just wondering if you wanted a little thread to keep in touch?

Headfairy - just replied to you on grapefruit thread. So sorry about your sad news. Was hoping a new thread might provide you with support from old friends.

And Sunnydale, I know you're wary of new threads, so though you might also like the company of old friends.

Wishing and Bubble having your weird long cycles and missing whole month's threads, thought this might be one for you too.

So what do you say? I'll start a list just in case:

Issy, ttc#1, cycle 14, ucl 28ish, cd 23/10dpo, mc Mar08, cp Sep08, IVF in April.

God just read that back and sounded a bit flippant. did not mean to say your stresses were therefore not important or anything just that it is good that you acknowledge and tackle the problems xxx

girlwithacurl · 02/03/2009 12:50

Sorry to hear about your rabbit bubble how were your DC?

bubblebell1 · 02/03/2009 12:59

thanks sif

wasnt flippant.

i forgot to say i did have some good news. my Best Friend had a lil girl yest by em c sec. 8lb 8oz called kaytelyn. cant wait to go up the hosp this evening for a hug

HeadFairy · 02/03/2009 14:37

Hello all, hope you've got some sunshine where you are, lovely spring day here in the big smoke

girl, don't be ashamed, I'm going to start doing just that in a couple of days, got a stash of digital opks at home and I'll be damned if I'm going to waste them. This is the last lot though, no more after these ones. I've probably missed ov anyway, I've been too darned laid back

Bubble, so sorry to hear about your bunny. That's too sad Hope cuddling your friend's dd helps cheer you up. Sounds like you had a rough weekend.

Sif - how's that Brownie badge going? You want to practice some toddler taming skills?

We had a lovely weekend, spent all saturday looking at houses. I'm so nosey I love having a good poke around everyone else's house. We saw one really lovely one, trying not to get too frustrated, but if we get a sensible offer on ours we'll put an offer in on the one we saw on saturday. Bit of a stalemate at the moment though. I'm having redecorating and gardening fantasies! Sunday was a marvellous day of bumming around, reading papers, eating bacon sarnies and taking ds to the park. Pretty near perfect I say.

Tootle pip!

xx

bluesatinsash · 02/03/2009 15:00

Hey gals,

about your bunny bubble, hope you and your DH exchange some cuddles tonight , 'tis hard sometimes I know...

girl - fret not at your confession (and yay! at your EWCM). I ordered 10 OPKs from for those closet obsessives on Sat. - they are so cheap and you get 4 pg tests thrown in!!

HF your weekend sounded just perfect, especially the bacon rolls! question - brown or red sauce?

I had my first of my 3 girl's night out on Sat. and all talk was ttc and shagging (what do you expect at a table of thirtysomethings...), very giggly and silly but lots of fun. Had lovely long lie yesterday - bliss..

HeadFairy · 02/03/2009 15:02

Red sauce of course...

Glad you enjoyed your night out with the girls, make sure all that talk is off shagging not ttc Always much more fun!

sifuentes · 02/03/2009 15:48

Hi again girls - my work is obviously going reeeally well today.

HF I think toddler taming might be on the Guides badge. I can build garages with bricks though and play with playmobile for a weirdly long amount of time!

So pleased we are all outing ourselves
I am having weird pains downstairs and have no idea if possible implantation? or late ov?or just general post MC weirdness, of which there has been qutie a lot in that area... Might see if I can slip in a cheeky one tonight but not sure if I can be bothered...oh dear I know I am going to slip into the black hole that is the 2ww. Having said that I should be ok once this weird pain goes away. God it's probably just trapped wind!!

blue your girls night out sounds ace. I love those evenings. Lots and lots of giggles. So good for the soul.

HF I totally share the nosey gene. I love seeing how people have done up their houses. Mainly to see if there are things I can copy.

HeadFairy · 02/03/2009 18:14

Bugger bugger bugger, I was doing so well... a really annoying woman at work, who was pg at the same time I was pg with ds, just told me she's 4.5 months pg with that stupid exasperated roll of the eyes you usually reserve for telling friends your train was cancelled again this morning or some other irritation. I wanted to slap her! Am I allowed to slap a pregnant woman?? Please say yes!!! Either that or I'm going to break my no chocolate rule in a big way, which would be a shame cos I've lost half a stone already (how much chocolate must I eat to lose half a stone in a week when I give it up?? )

JumpingJellyfish · 02/03/2009 21:40

Hello ladies. Sorry been away from the thread for aaaaaages (been off work with family visiting, poorly DCs etc.!), and not had a chance to catch up yet as only have the internet at work so don't get as long on as I'd like! Really hope you are all doing ok.

I'm feeling a wee bit wobbly about TTC now as reckon this month is yet another no-go, started spotting a few days ago way before I'd have expected AF to show, and earlier than I've ever spotted before. And now feel like AF is immenent as have all the usual symptoms, but this again would be earlier than ever. It's so hard not to get dispondent and I find I'm beginning to wonder if something is wrong "down there" after 9 cycles of TTC and not even a hint of a positive. I know many go through much worse and do feel bad posting this when some are having trouble TTC#1, as I do at least have my 2 DCs, but we so long for a third I just feel like it'll never happen

OK sorry all, been absent for ages then had a good self-indulgent rant Just can't talk to anyone else in "real life" about this....Anyhow should be working so back to it I guess...

Hugs to you all xx

sifuentes · 03/03/2009 10:05

Morning all - HF I hope you did give her slap. She has got on my nerves via your message.

Jumpingjelly don't worry about feeling bad about us ttc#1s it's all relative isn't it. And the thing is the feeling is the same for all of us actually. I through a wobbly last night because realised totally miscalculated ovulation and should have been doing the deed but DP was basically out letting his haird down with his mates enjoying the fact that he had done his work for the month.

God knows when i will ovulate next month - pesky after effects of a MC. I might finally have to crack and get me some of those sticks! (thanks for the link blue).
I am screwing cos i think i mucked up 1 cycle. I think I will be sectioned if I am still here in 9 months time. So please, don't worry about venting. I can't share it with anyone in rl either so feel way better if I am not the only one ranting away!!!!

sifuentes · 03/03/2009 10:06

I threw a wobbly
hair

HeadFairy · 03/03/2009 11:03

Sadly I didn't slap her Sif, don't want to get sacked, but I did start a conversation about childbirth to get her all wobbly again, she had a tough time first time round so I helpfully reminded her what she's got to go through again It's official, I am a cow!

I've already cocked up first day of using up my opks, was sitting on the loo (tmi, I know!) merrily peeing this morning when I remembered I had to start poas... oops! Cue heroic pelvic floor control and mad dash to get stick!

bluesatinsash · 03/03/2009 13:04

Head at you scuttling to rip open a OPK whilst holding in your pee - easier said than done! My Zoombaby pack arrived today with bluffers guide instructions to boot ("hold stick in urine" - really?!) I would have [angy] and flounced away from your "oh didums I'm pg, woe is me" co-worker but regailing stories of childbirth - genius and just a touch evil .

sif - glad I'm not the only one who makes schoolboy grammer errors . How's life in lawyer land today? My big sis did a law degree up here in Edinburgh but decided to become a pensions guru instead - WTF?

DH is happy as a sandboy as he knows he has a week of bd coming up and I think he's even trimmed his nose hair (not that its excessive)in anticipation.

Jumping - I am trying to be chilled about when/if I do fall pg but it can be hard when you just don't know... Colleague in my office is 9 weeks pg and I'm so , not for the fact she's having a baby as I'm genuinely happy for her but the fact she told everyone at 7 weeks and is just so confident everything will be fine whereas I'm a bag of bloody nerves and I'm not even pg yet.

bubblebell1 · 03/03/2009 14:26

Hey all!

How are you today?

DH and i made up.. he appoloised for being pig headed.. ( i love it when he does that, makes me feel like it was all his fault.)

HF Yesterday was gorgeous wasnt it. I spent most of the day in the garden and then went to see my friends baby. She is soooo gorgeous and i am now sooooooooooooooo broody.

I love looking around ppls houses. especially to get decorating/storage ideas. Ive even been known to walk the dog when its dark so i can peek inside rooms with the light on . god can i get arrested for

After the weekend i had i prob would of slapped her and lost my job.. they say it comes in 3s. but you were far more evil and calculated... well done ...mmmwwwaaahhhh [evil laugh emotion]

jumping I hope you are feeling better. we all have down days but thats what we are here for.

xxxx

bubblebell1 · 03/03/2009 14:29

that was supposed to read .. can i get arrested for that.

HeadFairy · 03/03/2009 14:50

PMSL at bluesatinsash's dh trimming his nose hair, now that's being prepared... I barely even shave my legs

Bubble - you've found a kindred spirit in me, I love peeking in to people's living rooms when it's dark out and they've got the curtains open... I'm such a peeping tom. I used to belong to a gym just off the King's Road and I used to park my car in the Boltons, which is mega rich, think £40 million pound homes. Anyway, I used to walk back to my car eating my post gym banana, looking like crap, with wet hair and bad tracky bottoms on peering in to all the rich folk's windows. I'm amazed I didn't get arrested!

Glad you had a good day yesterday. I bet holding your friend's baby got the broody hormones pumping. I remember going to the cinema with my sister to see The Devil Wears Prada at a parent and baby screening, my sister leaned over to me at one point during some particularly loud screaming from all the babies and said "this'll get your ovaries pumping!" Did work actually, I was pg a couple of cycles later!

TTFN

bubblebell1 · 03/03/2009 17:41

HF your so right!

i got back and thought right im gonna get preg NOW. so did a ov test and it was a darkish line. Todays was a Definate positive on an ebay cheapie... the first time thats ever happened... so we did it last night and im just gonna keep doin it til i cant take any more

thats 14 days since i had a mc. i didnt think that could happen.

HeadFairy · 03/03/2009 18:00

I know we're not talking days here but Bubble that sounds like you're returning to normal, in which case that's fab! I've ov'd exactly two weeks after both my mcs so I guess that it must be possible. Both my mcs were pretty early so my hCG levels dropped very quickly. I think that's the key, as hCG suppresses your normal cycle, and if it takes a long time for the hCG to drop then it will delay ovulation. I guess this time your levels dropped quickly enough.

I hope you get lucky this month, but even if you don't it must be so nice to be back to a predictable cycle. Makes it so much easier to ttc. Enjoy your bd fest !

bubblebell1 · 03/03/2009 18:05

thanks head.

i was thinking just that, before this my cycle was all over the place. i think i was just expecting it to take a while before i ovd.. mind u.. i still mite not ov.

only time will tell.

HeadFairy · 03/03/2009 18:10

I bet you will

bubblebell1 · 03/03/2009 18:28

i made dh spagetti and meatballs... his fav dinner in an attempt to get him to put out tonight! gonna get the kids in bed early and hope that he can manage 2 nights in a row. lol

any other suggestions???

sifuentes · 03/03/2009 18:36

Hey that's good news Bubble! My only tip is not to get him so full on your delicious home cooked delights that he is too full to put out!!

Have fun!

Wish i hadn't missed my window - I will def be opk - ing it next month!

HeadFairy · 03/03/2009 18:38

One glass of wine or whatever his favourite tipple is (only one though, don't want brewers droop ) and be nothing but sweetness and light all evening. God we're so conniving aren't we? I'm like a 1950s wife when I'm ov'ing, bowing and scraping and bringing him his slippers ad infinitum

sifuentes · 03/03/2009 18:48

Me too

Issy42 · 03/03/2009 18:58

ROFL at your posts girls . I was miserable at the weekend because I had really clear ov signs on Friday - even some elusive EWCM - and noone to bd with, so was in a 'why can't I be with someone' mood, but at least I don't have to cook special dinners, watch nasal hair removal and fetch and carry . Took all my willpower not to phone my ex though and get him over!

It was that weekend last year that I had my first (and only successful) IUI. I remember because it was St David's Day and I thought that, since I'm definitely giving my child a Welsh name, it could be good luck for me - and it was - until it took Christianity too seriously and did a disappearing act on Good Friday without the resurrection. Can't believe it's now a year since I was pg. Really thought I'd be pg again by the time it was due in November, never thought for a minute that I'd still be trying now or that I'd have resorted to IVF.

Great news on the positive OPK Bubble.

Sorry for the me, me, me post, was intending just to read quickly and post later but your posts made me laugh so much felt I had to reply. Still need to catch up properly with earlier posts though - can't believe how much you all post on work days - don't you have any work to do . Need to go home now as have the treadmill to conquer tonight.
