Just popping in quickly as I've got tons of work to do...
Jools... that's fabulous news!
I'm really happy for you!

Yellowflowers · 14/04/2009 11:34

Hi kitty - we get until 999 message though I reckon we need to leave a few so when the rest of us get our BFPs we can announce it here too to make the thread title become true - so feel free to start new one with new title anyone, though do link to it from here so we can find it.

By the way, I've more or less given up grapefruit juice - anyone else? But I am going to use preseed again this month.

I stopped GFJ 7 weeks ago, as it was not allowed on the Cambridge Diet. However, this diet does demand that you drink at least 2.5 litres of water every day and I'm sure that helped with CM

Kay4MattTTC · 14/04/2009 13:14

afternoon all. hope every one is ok.

Yellowflowers: thankQ.

here's an update about me:
i am now on CD14. hopeing there is a chance somthing might happen after last night , but not sure anything has cause i haven't noticed an ovulation on my FC again . today i am feeling pritty . so thinking i might stay indoors.

wasabipeanut · 14/04/2009 13:57

Hi guys,

Just checking in after Easter. Jools - what fabulous news. I am so happy for you honey. Now it is your turn. Be happy and I'm sure all will be well.

Funtime - any news lovely? Have you had your scan yet?

How is everyone feeling then? I am on CD16 today and have had some seriously wierd stuff going on. I got borderline positive OPK's on Sunday and yesterday but today def negative. They took longer to develop that when I normally get a positive though. Plus I only usually get a positive for one day. However, my temps have actually been lower today and yesterday. Had loads of EWCM on Friday but not much since.

I have no idea if I have ov'd or not or whether I am going to

Joolsiam · 14/04/2009 14:05

Wasabi - I haven't been convinced 100% that I was ovulating because, other than one really really painful ov post MC, I've not "felt" it like I used to.

I really hated not being in control any more and was seriously considering investing in a thermometer aswell. However, I told myself that if I was monitoring CM and only had one patch of EWCM mid cycle, followed by dry / sticky for two weeks, then I must be ovulating - and I must have been right

I would suggest that, if you don't see any more EWCM, then you must have ov'ed. The only time I saw a second lot of EWCM, I had an anovulatory bleed within hours ....

Everything crossed for you this afternoon Funtime

funtimewincies · 14/04/2009 18:59

Thanks for all the vibes chaps. I'm pleased to report that I've got a bean with a heartbeat. Measuring roughly right for dates and just how it should be . The bleeding was probably part of the implantation process.

Very, very relieved and I've just bought some crisps to celebrate (well, got to get my pleasures where I can these days!)

Jools - repeat after me, 'I am pregnant and it will be fine'.

iggypiggy · 14/04/2009 19:33

funtime that is fab news - so pleased

Jools I v. much like oyster bay although have had a fair bit to drink over easter as may as well!

My DH thinks I am a little mad as managed to ride horse on easter sun before MC properly started - then took him jumping the next day - think am trying to convince self am fine. Have also been on mamoth dog walks... animals are all happy anyway...

hello to everyone else and thanks for all your thoughts! and Welcome to Kay

flintski · 14/04/2009 19:56

Hi all

Jools a big woohoo to you!! Fab news! I can understand you feeling apprehensive, I would be too I'm sure, but to echo what's already been said, be positive, this is your turn!

funtime really pleased to hear that all is well with you too

iggy so sorry to hear what's happened, it sounds like you are being very strong about it all, but yes, look after yourself.

[waves to everyone else, still slightly too many of us to list everyone, although the list is getting shorter!]

I'm despairing today, CD20 and egg seems to be refusing to pop. A long Easter weekend of lots of shagging seems to have gone completely to waste (from a ttc point of view anyway), temp was slightly up yesterday but right back down again today - aaaaargh, felt like crying when I looked at the thermometer this morning.

Ho hum. Must not give up hope!

Joolsiam · 14/04/2009 20:41

Fantastic news Funtime - SO pleased for you

kittycatcat · 15/04/2009 09:08

Whoop for funtime that is brilliant news

smileycat · 15/04/2009 09:44

Jules fantastic news
I second what the other girls are saying, treat this as a completely different pg to your last one, It happened for a reason & this one will be very different, be positive & it can only help

quick update from me, everything is going really well, I'm now 19wks + 5 & have my 20wk scan on Monday (going to find out the sex can't wait) now have def bump & a brown pg line appearing from my belly button down so I feel very pg now, although still at that stage when people are looking at me funny as they can't tell if am fat or pg
Hope you all had a great Easter
sorry Iggy I know you didn't, but a least you now have some closure & can hopefully move on from this (Jules is a great mascot, shows it can happen again)
I have updated my date as I forgot to after my 12 wk scan when I got my new edd date

iggypiggy · 15/04/2009 11:24

flintski am in denial - that's all. But am suddenly feeling alot brighter since everything happens (Hormones/ relief is over after waiting to MC? Who knows!)

Smiley - glad to hear you doing well, exciting news about finding out the sex - is nice to see people progressing on from the thread and you are right - Jools is good example. and at least I know I can get PG - which is better that not being able to.

2009 is just not my year for a baby - am hoping will be 2010

Am not going to even hazard a guess at when my AF might be due - as am clearly still not finished bleeding from MC.. so will just leave myself at bottom of list.

Also - a question for people that have had MCs - did you need to have a scan to check everything had come out ok? I wasn't sure if I needed to or not?

Joolsiam · 15/04/2009 11:37

Iggy - I ended up in A&E when I was bleeding heavily - they didn't scan me then, but booked me an appt for the next day. The EPU nurse phoned in the morning and we agreed to put it off for a day as I was still losing clots - I went in the day after to confirm everything was gone (despite that confirmation, I did still pass some biggish clots during my next AF ...

I don't think you have to have a scan, but it is advisable just to avoid the risk of infection.

You sound on better form today - first milestone over and done with, so roll on AF

I'm away on business today in Bridgend - got my first bout of nausea in the taxi owing to the sickeningly sweet air freshener in the car - yeuch !!

Staying over tonight in my favourite hotel. They do a fantastic brekki - shame I can't have my favourite runny poached eggs on toast !

Joolsiam · 15/04/2009 11:38

Oh, forgot to say hello to Smiley

wasabipeanut · 15/04/2009 13:53

Funtime am so relieved that all is well. Your little bean is obviously a strongun. Hope you enjoyed your crisps.

Iggy how are you doing sweetness? I was offered a scan after my mc but asked if there was really any point as I didn't really want another encounter with the internal scanner without a very good reason. I had to go in once or twice for a urine test and blood test to check my hcg levels had dropped back and was told to "test again in a week, if its positive call us" and I got a BFN so that was that. They were happy based on what I described that I had a full mc.

"whatsfortea" I feel your pain! For the first time since ttc I genuinely don't know if I have ov'd or not. I had a slight temp increase this morning but not higher than I've had at other points in the cycle. Having said that because of tonsilitius and ds having a crap sleep phase my temps have been all over the shop this month. I don't know why I bothered really. I am not holding out much hope for this cycle put it that way.

Smiley - hello! Glad you're enjoying it. Good luck at the 20 week scan. Its such a lovely experience - seeing your baby (and it is a baby now not a bean) in so much beautiful detail. I remember seeing all the ds's vertabrae curving gracefully round as he settled in for what I guess was a nap. (He was never very still in utero and still isn't!). I was awestruck at how clear the images were and how amazing it was that it was all going on inside me!

Jools - enjoy that breakfast (you didn't really like runny poached eggs did you?)

Yellowflowers · 15/04/2009 15:03

jools thanks - is useful to know - am def feeling bit better. Glad the MS kicking in for you (in a nice way! as means things are going well)

wasabi hello well am still bleeding at mo (not loads - but sort of comes and goes) so not sure if need scan.. Would rather not as think everything out - but worried about infection etc.
I might do a PG test at some point then? Have my fingers crossed for you for this month xx

yellow am ok - thanks for asking good news about having a temping free month - is sometimes good to have a break to chill a little. Also glad you feeling ok. x

iggypiggy · 16/04/2009 13:02

Joolsiam · 16/04/2009 15:17

Hi Iggy Teary days are normal - you will get through this

I've been around, but am away on business - just come out of a 3 hour workshop early and am racing to finish up and get the early train out of Wales

Need to stock up on snacks aswell - seem to get hungry every 3 hours at the mo ...

Yellowflowers · 17/04/2009 08:48

Sorry yesterday was rubbish iggy and hope today is better.

Where is everybody?

I'm mid BD season. Boring!!!!!! (oh dear, thought I was supposed to enjoy it).

OP posts:
Joolsiam · 17/04/2009 08:51

Am here - curled up on the sofa with my cats, feeling seasick and very very tired

Supposed to be working from home, so I guess I'd better at least dial in to my work network and pretend I'm up for a days work ! Feel like crawling back to bed - not sure if these are symptoms or I'm just coming down with something !!

wasabipeanut · 17/04/2009 09:40

Hi Iggy I'm afraid the teary days come and go for a while. I think Funtime called them maudlin muggings - they just sneak up on you out of the blue. I still get them from time to time.

Another friend told me she was pg yesterday. She wanted to tell me on my own away from our usual group of friends which was nice and sensetive but sort of made me feel even worse I had to choke tears down at one point. I just hope she didn't notice.

I know our time will come and I just have to be patient but it all felt really raw again.

kittycatcat · 17/04/2009 09:51

HUGS for Iggy and Wasabi!
