All welcome.

Hi all - it's been a long time...me and DH have been away and got back a couple of days ago. Was great to get away from work and everything. We also managed to do loads of BDing which I was delighted about.

I'm CD 25 now. But judging my OPK's, I think I ov'd on CD 20 or 21 so still a bit of a wait to get through. Not feeling remotely PG (not that I would at this early stage) but I have had really bad stitch feeling on the sides of my abdomenen area. Anyone had this and ended up being PG?

I've skimmed through the posts but haven't been able to catch up properly as there is so much to read through!

yellow - I think it's sounding really positive for you. With your CP last month, chances are you are a bit more fertile this month. All my fingers are crossed for you.

Funtime / jools - sorry to hear witch has got you. funtime - keep positive and here's hoping that both of you get lucky this month.

xxx

funtimewincies · 24/02/2009 18:20

Yellow - don't want to give you false hope but I had something similar when I was pg with ds. I put it down to my nipples being really tender amd often being gentle with them was more painful than being a bit more harsh . I never thought that I'd admit to that bit of pg symptoms!

Wasabi - how did you know I prefer Plymouth to London?

OP posts:
Joolsiam · 25/02/2009 08:24

Kyte - I have a cycle that averages 27 - 29 days too.

Being one of those people that is lucky enough to "feel" ovulation, I've normally got a good idea when AF is due, as OV to AF never changes - it is always 13.5 days ! I have ov'ed as early as CD13 and as late as CD16, so if you are anything like me, I'd have your last BD on CD17, just to be sure

queenie1 · 25/02/2009 09:12

yellow - any news from you this morning?

yellowflowers · 25/02/2009 12:45

Okay, well this am I was still spotting, mainly watery brown and pink but this morning it was dark red so guess must be af on way. And did internet cheapie and got bfn. Have decided the following:

The twinges I am getting (like a stitch just above public line) must be wind

The sickness when hungry is because I am a big fat pig and needed an excuse because I fancied a bag of crisps

The metal taste (last night only) was because I ate a bloody steak

The tiredness is because I am, er, tired

The achey boobs are because I am poking them, as are the veins (which are only visible in the evening)

The nipple pain is because I was cold

The three days of quite high temps (still up this am) must be because usually I throw off a cover in the night but this morning I woke up with both covers still on me

Can?t believe I?ve been fooled by my wishful thinking again.

OP posts:
flintski · 25/02/2009 13:02

oh yellow, you are being so hard on yourself! I know exactly what you mean about wishful thinking and we are all are own worst enemies for symptom spotting - i recognise the negativity but please take care.

wasabipeanut · 25/02/2009 13:35

Oh Yellow honey don't beat yourself up - we all convinvce ourselves to varying degrees every month that this could be it. One month it will be! Be good to yourself for a few days while AF vists and try and relax a bit and indulge that desire to curl up and eat treaty food!

Funtime - I assumed you preferred Plymouth for the same reasons I do! We are clearly gin afficionados - whether this is a good or bad thing is somewhat debatable.

Kyte - I'd be trying to keep up the action till after day 20! If you have any energy left that is

Queenie - welcome back! We missed you. Feel free to start symptom spotting and the like!

Well I'm deffo out for this month - to be fair that probably isn't a bad thing for me mentally or physically. I had that feeling this morning that my body was about to "do" something and sure enough the cramps hit a couple of hours ago and some spotting has started which will presumable turn to full flow soonish. Will update list as soon as I know for sure today is CD1.

Have consoled myself with mashed avocado on toast and will shortly be hitting the Green & Blacks! The gin will have to wait until tonight as DS is with his grandparents and will need to be retrieved later this pm!

thanks everyone and big hugs to you too wasabi. Af still not here - just spotting still and only on day 11 max. who knows. Am not giving up hope, but don;t want to look silly for having hope if obvious to everyone else that it s af about to arrive x

OP posts:
queenie1 · 25/02/2009 16:11

yellow - you shouldn't give up hope until AF properly arrives. after all, as you say, you're only 11 dpo. And don't worry about looking silly here - we all, at various points, bear our souls and our madness so you'd be silly if you didn't use this space to do just this. hugs to you.

wasabi - sorry to hear the witch got you. but hope you enjoy the gin! xx

queenie1 · 25/02/2009 16:12

thanks queenie and well done on updating list wasabi.

Any news from lovelymonster and pinkie or should we take them off list?

I wonder how *broodzilla is doing on her two weeks away?
have decided to do proper digital test tomorrow if temp high but not if it is not.

OP posts:
LovelyMonster · 26/02/2009 08:51

Hi everyone!! Have been away for a while and funny i should have a check in today!!

Hope everyone is well, have not read back through all posts yet but wow lots of bfp's for a while there!

Well as for me I took January off ttc completely and had a nice relaxing month with no expectations of disappointment (although did have momentary panic of 'wasting an egg' when ov) but otherwise had a good month.

Then went for it like mad for Feburary. OPK, pre-seed, shagging like mad. Build my hopes up big time. Then Af arrived early having very light spotting from 8dpo. boo hiss. Was very disappointed as had such a good feeling about feb!
Oh well. onwards and upward.

Am hoping like mad that im pg by june thou, as the baby i mc would have been due then. I think it will be much easier to deal with if i am expecting again if you know what i mean. will have been trying for two years come may.

Have been putting off going for tests but think we will be looking at that very soon. Need to change gp first as our current one is a complete idiot.

So will update list and re-join the gang if thats ok.........

Hello lovelymonster - fab to have you back.

So temp was high this am but rather than waste digital I did a cheap internet one - nothing, until an hour later when now the faintest line but can't decide whether evaporation or not as not really any colour so probably is. Bleeding is still only spotting but with some bits in.Grrrr - another day of not knowing.

iggypiggy · 26/02/2009 09:05

yellow - is so frustrating not knowing for sure either way. I still have hope for you this month

Welcome back Lovelymonster I know what you mean about Feb - have been hoping myself - but to be honest - no symptoms at all at the mo... But is still early...

wasabi sorry witch got you - but at least you know where you are now and your cycle has got back to normal xx

Joolsiam · 26/02/2009 09:13

Morning all, and welcome back LovelyMonster

Sorry to hear your frustrations Yellowflowers - it is so incredibly hard not to symptom spot and I had a couple of months last year where I was so convinced I was pg, that I was quite embarrassed to come back onto a TTC thread and confess a BFN !!!

I'm honestly not sure if we are going to TTC this month - should have been going for it from last night, and I think Friday will be the best day, but am not getting on too well with DP at the mo - talking but not communicating iyswim. I'm also now on a strict diet and can't help thinking that putting off TTC for a few weeks might help, especially as this Cambridge Diet averages a stone per month weight loss for the first two months - if I could lose that much, I'd feel better in myself, ie more sexy, DP might be a bit more interested in the bedroom and I stand a chance of a healthier pregnancy.

Soooo - I'm trying to tell myself it doesn't matter if I miss the egg this month or next month. I know that, at 39, I don't have many to waste but now I've missed my major deadline of delivering before I'm 40, the pressure is off a little and I'm kind of rethinking priorities to get my life back on track as I'm still wallowing in a bit of a post MC depression.

My next goal really is to be PG (ideally having seen a heartbeat) by my original due date of May 29th - not sure how possible that is, but we shall see.

Have a good day everyone

yellowflowers · 26/02/2009 10:30

Hi jools - sorry you and dh are havign trouble. Maybe a month not trying will help take the pressure off, though of course not trying doesn't mean you can't still have 'spontaneous' bd on the fertile days. Thinking of you.
xx

OP posts:
queenie1 · 26/02/2009 10:38

jools - sounds like you've got a good attitude. The pressure of placing such tight deadlines can't help the ttc. The late may 'deadline' sounds much more realistic but don't put TOO much pressure on yourself to reach that one. That way it may just happen!!

And on deadlines, lovelymonster - I know just what you mean about wanting to get pregnant again before the MC-baby would have been due. I very much felt this after my first MC. When the time came and went and I'd clocked up another two MCs I felt desperate and had a bit of a melt down. We sort of took a few months off after that and it helped no end. So what am I saying? Again, like to jools, go easy on yourself and don't expect too much. That, I reckon, is ironically the best way of making it happen.

(But, of course, remind me of these easy-to-say words when AF arrives later this week!!!)

yellow - how frustrating for you.

I'm CD 27 today and I reckon 6 or 7 dpo. Have absolutely no idea whether I'll get lucky this month but so hoping...(of course!)...

x

funtimewincies · 26/02/2009 10:50

Welcome back Queenie and Lovelymonster .

Just as well wasabi, afternoon gin is a slippery slope (unless it's drunk in something cool and refreshing lazing in the garden on a sunny day )!

Yellow - hate to say it, sounds like and evaporation line, but I've been wrong before!

The pressure is on now to conceive next month as DH will be away with work at the important times during May and June and maybe April too .

yellowflowers · 26/02/2009 11:27

yes you're probs right funtime - I have acupuncture appt today which will hopefully either bring on period properly or make spotting stop. Given the acupunturist said what he was doing was meant to make my periods start in full flow and be bright red I think he may be interested to know that so far there have been five days on pink/brown spotting instead!

funtimewincies · 26/02/2009 11:35
