Hello Everyone,

Rom - I am so sorry. Sending you lots of love and hugs. This ttc is so hard. Be kind to yourself over the weekend and tell Mr Rom from me he is to be extra nice to you. As Bella has said we WILL get there just not as quickly as we would all like to. If you don't mind me asking how long were you ttc before falling pg last time?

OK we are all together for another month of hard trying (well not really me but YKWIM) so lots of positive thoughts for this month. A Feb/March baby and we will get most of next summer off on maternity leave

George - I am so glad you got good news yesterday. Enjoy the rest of your pg and get plenty of rest and look after yourself.

Munz - where are you? Hope everything was OK yesterday.

Charleepeters - How are you today? Has the bleeding settled any?

Debbsy - Take it really easy this weekend and I have everything crossed for you that you will have good news on Monday.

Bella - How is the gardner/garden going? The weather has been so good here over the last week that my garden is actually starting to look quite colouful. Lots of thing just starting to bloom. Only problem with good weather is that the weeds also grow at an alarming rate. Should really be out in the garden instead of sitting on here!

DQ would be proud of me. I spent this morning making tray bakes for the teas at an Antiques Fair tomorrow. Anyone for malteser squares, pineapple delights, diane delights or coffee truffles. So much for the diet I have tasted all of them .........well you have to be sure they are OK to give to people

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

charleepeters · 13/05/2005 17:51

Hope it's sunny for everyone over the weekend, off to the babyshow in Brum tomorrow with a friend which I'm really looking forward too, especially as DH & DS are having a boys day together.

Sorry to hear that AF has visited you as well Rom........you must be gutted!! We live in hope every monthand it's a killer when all hope has died!

I am feeling better today as I had such a pathetic AF last month and it looked like this one was going to be abnormal too. But today has been normal AF!!!! Hurrah!!! So feel like body is now finally back to normal and hoping this might be my month.

Debs.........best wishes for testing on Monday and take it really easy over the weekend. I shall be waiting to hear how you get on.

munz · 13/05/2005 21:21

ok then it's been a while but here's a few old jokes i've dusted down..

**
A preacher goes into a bar and says "Anybody who wants to go to heaven, stand up." Everybody stands up except for a drunk in the corner. The preacher says "My son, don't you want to go to heaven when you die?" The drunk says "When I die? Sure. I thought you were taking a load up now."
**

A man walks into a bar and asks the bartender, "If I show you a really good trick, will you give me a free drink?" The bartender considers it, then agrees. The man reaches into his pocket and pulls out a tiny rat. He reaches into his other pocket and pulls out a tiny piano. The rat stretches, cracks his knuckles, and proceeds to play the blues.

After the man finished his drink, he asked the bartender, "If I show you an even better trick, will you give me free drinks for the rest of the evening?" The bartender agrees, thinking that no trick could possibly be better than the first. The man reaches into his pocket and pulls out a tiny rat. He reaches into his other pocket and pulls out a tiny piano. The rat stretches, cracks his knuckles, and proceeds to play the blues. The man reaches into another pocket and pulls out a small bullfrog, who begins to sing along with the rat's music.

While the man is enjoying his beverages, a stranger confronts him and offers him £100,000.00 for the bullfrog. "Sorry," the man replies, "he's not for sale." The stranger increases the offer to £250,000.00 cash up front. "No," he insists, "he's not for sale." The stranger again increases the offer, this time to £500,000.00 cash. The man finally agrees, and turns the frog over to the stranger in exchange for the money.

"Are you insane?" the bartender demanded. "That frog could have been worth millions to you, and you let him go for a mere £500,000!" "Don't worry about it." the man answered. "The frog was really nothing special. You see, the rat's a ventriloquist."

Trix1 · 13/05/2005 22:25

Hi everyone,

Rom - soooooo sorry to hear about your af, its gutting you wait all month counting the days until you can test and then af arrives. its so unfair.

I am on day 15 thought my ovulaton day was around day 12 tested on an ov stick this morning and its saying its now so all week bd i fear has been wasted - apart from the fun element.

What is the soonest date you can test this waiting is driving me so insane.

Girls - I wish you all the best, fantastic for those who have a bfp and as someone mentioned earlier lets lok forward to those late feb and march babies.

wendy11 · 13/05/2005 22:30

Two Wendy's on the one thread....this could get confusing! May have to have a name change in the next day or two

Munz - Thanks. You have cheered me up this evening. DH out and I am feeling a bit low. Think it must be the medication I am taking at the moment. Glad everything went well for you and you have a healthy tube.....no excuses now for not having a beanie on board in the next month or two.

Trix1 · 13/05/2005 22:44

Hi Wendy11, sorry if you have gone into detail many times before but what is the medication for? the thread is too long to back track.

wendy11 · 13/05/2005 22:54

Trix
The drugs are for IVF. Basically ttc for about 5 years got an appointment for IVF in May 2004 and found out I was pg naturally in April. Unfortunately Adam was stillborn in Sept - his kidneys did not develop properly, so GP recommended we go back for IVF rather that waiting and hoping it would happen naturally. Have been trying for six months with no results so started sniffing one of the drugs a couple of weeks ago and start the stimming injections next Saturday with an anticipated egg collection date of 2nd June.

Trix1 · 13/05/2005 23:08

Hi Wendy, I remember reading your thread now, so sad. I wish you all the best with the IVF. There are so many success stories now with IVF I have three friend who are pregant with it (one with twins) and know a few more who have had lovelly babies so hopefully you will be next. Good luck.

Debbsy · 14/05/2005 07:42

hi all thanks everyone for kind thoughts well im still bleeding and got alot of pain too not holding out much hope now at all, still will rest ova wkend munz glad eveything went well.

Bella23 · 14/05/2005 09:37

Debsy - sorry honey, its not looking good
Rom - are you ok? Hope DH was lovely to you last night. As Munz says there are 4 of us old timers and we will just have tp see each other through this rough path. IT WILL HAPEN - its just we are the tortoises of the race, slow and steady but we will finish....I PROMISE!

Wendy - great to hear from you....fingers and legs crossed for your IVF

Munz - good idea, why don't you start a new thread.....perhaps www.orderyourspringbabyhere.com as i quite liked Wendy's idea of spring babies on their way and all of next summer off as maternity leave - hoorah bring it on !!

Munz - love the joke !
