Yellowbear - congratulations thats excellent news.

Bella - happy birthday, i hope you have a wonderful day.

I was feeling a bit left out with all you POAT, so i thought i'd waste some money and give it a try. DH and i may have slipped up and accidentally bd without protection before AF arrived, and i have been feeling a little sick and bloated. So i did a test but obviously got a BFN which i am quite relieved about really as if i was pregnant before my frst AF i would have been a nervous wreck.

Cadmum · 26/04/2005 13:06

Congratulations yellow bear!!!

Will try to catch up later...

OP posts:
romilly · 26/04/2005 14:46

OP posts:
teuch · 26/04/2005 15:58

Romilly - we are moving to a small, remote island to take over DH's family farm and lambing starts in March then start up a new tourism business early summer...manageable with a baby but couldn't be heavily pregnant, get away regularly for ante-natal. Also you have to go to the mainland 2 weeks before due date and DH would have to stay at home ...

So either have to do the pregnant part whilst still here or wait until it all calms down...6 months would be a minimum .

So fingers crossed for this month!

Big welcome to all the new folk...hope your visit is short and successful!

dramaqueen72 · 26/04/2005 16:45

teuch, wow sounds lovely, tell us the island and we'll all be youe first tourists i understand the practicality of what you're saying, but these babies have a way of not following the best laid plans! dont give up yet!

wendy11 · 26/04/2005 17:46

Yellowbear - Congratulations. Look after yourself and your little cargo.

Bella - Happy Birthday - sorry its a bit late in the day. Hope you had a brillant day and got spoilt rotten.

Teuch - where are you going to live? My DH is a farmer and we have just finsihed lambing so know what you have in front of you. You probably know already but lambing and pregnancy do not go so if you are successful this month stay away from those sheep and make DH put his dirty clothes in the washing machine himself.

DQ - really good to see you are still dropping in on us. Hope you are feeling OK and not long to go now until the 6th May.

Cadmum - how are you doing?

Rom - when does the bd'ing start? I have high expectations for both you and Bella this month

Please don't start a new thread just yet. I want to pick up a little of the good fortune on this thread before my IVF

Temperatures still not gone up. Weird month but anyway spent most of the afternoon at the hospital for our pre treatment visit. Collected all the drugs and then the nurse explained all the procuedures to us for using the drugs.
DH is definitley going to have to do my injections.....there is no way I could stick a needle in myself. He will just have to pretend I am a cow Start the nasal spray tomorrow morning so finally feel like we are getting somewhere.

Had my second acupuncture session yesterday. He did alot more of the massage on my back and from my neck to my heels and then on my tummy - have to say it is not really a relaxing massage but very invigorating, then the acupunctue seems to wind you down again and relax you.

One other question...have any of you exzema(sp)or developed it either during pregnany, after pregnancy or after a miscarriage. I never would have had any bother with anything like this until after we lost Adam. Now the insides of my elbows, backs of my knees and top of my legs at my hip joints are covered in it. Gets really bad if I am worried about anything, so as you can guess at the moment it is almost in raw flesh. Actually scratch it in my sleep and DH has to tell me off. Just wondered what you do with it. Doctor has given me various creams but most contain steriods and am a bit worried about using them. He has said it is stress related and will go away, but I have had it now for about 6 months and if anything it is getting worse. Really dreading the warm weather as heat makes it really itchy.

Frizbe · 26/04/2005 18:18

Hi Wendy I developed Ezcema a few years ago then it cleared up and then after dd popped up again for a bit, grrr, I mainly get it on back of legs (very attractive!) I use diprobase on it mainly it usually does the job after a few days, sounds like yours is worse tho? anyone else?

george32 · 26/04/2005 18:20

Back from a wonderful time away for DPs birthday sipping water & dipping my toes in the hot tub. Fantastic place & DP has promised to take me again when I can fully enjoy it & guzzle champagne in the tub!!
Just dropped in to say
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY BELLA"
Hope you are being completely spoiled by DH today.
And, how exciting, Yellow Bear....a BFP!!!!!!!!! Whooo Hooooo
So pleased for you. I know that strange feeling, somewhere between elation and panic. Think positively, you've got past the first stage
You'll be pleased to hear I have turned into a beach ball. My stomach is HUGE and I'm only 4 weeks. You'll spot me as I'll be the one rolling down the street!!
Rom, your thread is a wonder, may it never end!!

romilly · 26/04/2005 19:17

hi george! - are you missing the marathon training ??
glad you had a lovely mini-break - who cares about champagne when you've got the best excuse in the world for eating starters and puddings and HUGE breakfasts! (i probably would come to think of it - )

wendy - sorry cant help much on the eczma other than the obvious things like try not to spend too long immersed in hot baths (showers are better) and oat-based soap products really help. i once got a kind of dermatitis rash on my back when i was having too many long hot baths and my skin became super-sensitive ( i used to wallow for hours while reading a book, heaven but not good for skin seemingly!)

dqueen - or bella - CAT me again pleeeeeease - you have got me V. curious now

what are you up to tonight bella? doubt you will have to time to check in here to answer that question but have fun anyway

OP posts:

Cadmum · 27/04/2005 04:15

Romilly: Thanks so much for missing me... I have been trying my best to keep up with your amazing thread but I just can't find the time. I feel horrible posting about me and then running so I have just avoided the whole thing... DH is off to NY on Sunday and I really have no idea how I will cope with our brood. The older two are not in school because having lived in the UK for 4 years they are ahead of their Canadian peers and the schools in our neighbourhood are horrible (23% of 3rd graders read at a grade 3 level) so I have them to teach and DS2 to amuse and they know that dad is going away soon and that mum is stressed right out so they are playing me up...

BLAH BLAH BLAH. So here I am posting all about me the very thing that I was trying to avoid. Should make this next bit easier to read: DH is taking the computer with him on Sunday so I will be unable to follow MN from home and I am not sure how often I will find internet access. Did I mention that we don't have a car and that there is NOTHING practical in this 'lovely' neighbourhood?

As for our TTC exploits, I just really don't know what to think. Part of me wants to test so that I will not be too depressed when af arrives but a bigger part of me is affraid of the result. Don't really know what would be worse. I so want it to be a BFP that I am dreaming up symptoms and I never have any before 6-7 weeks and then I am dead ill.
I will POAT before Sunday and let you all know for sure.

munz · 27/04/2005 09:35

morning all,

Wendy - could u use an E45 cream or does that not help at all? i'm not sure what creams u can use if ur'e PG or not, the chemist should be able to advise you better thou, I used one begginning with E (bought over the counter) it burnt like hell when it first went on, but within 2 days it was better and a week it was gone. my hat goes off to anyone with full time exema I only have it now and again.

teu - sounds lovely hon at that place, remeber to stock up on wine nad choc first!

well i've now been married for 2 yrs and DH yesterday got me a card, a box of terry all gold, a tub of ben and jerry's and some tulips! bless him, (he went to safeways! )
no changes here justhave to fightt the will not to test! lol, now 7DPO tummy's heavy today but that might just be last nights steak dinner! ooh and could we put the new thread off for a week of two (althou this one takes ages to fully load up)

good luck cadmum for this weekend.

HULA - WHERE R U??

Bella23 · 27/04/2005 09:42

Morning all, no time at the moment to catch and read all, will do later.
Just popped in to say had a great birthday however managed to have too many cocktails last night so feel very ill indeed today. Naughty girl that I am !!!!!!!!
Have to do miserable work...........

munz - happy anniversary munzie and mr. munz! how cute that he remembers - you've got him well-trained!

bella - glad you had a proper celebrationary birthday hon! has to be done little hungover this morning are we!?

cadmum - so glad you're still there, but to hear you won't be able to chat to us for a while. i do want this to be the month for you. please dont ever feel bad about coming on and telling us how you are doing - its really nice to know and keeps the thread interesting - all i ever talk about is which bloody CD i'm on, LOL! how dull is that???

right everybody ...i'm on CD9 ...actually feeling like i may 0 early this month cause EWCM is on the scene (although stretch and opaque, not clear yet...that still counts doesnt it?)

munz - 100% with you on keeping this thread going for the next batch of orders. slow load up is a small price to pay, LOL

last but not least, dramaqueen - thanks hon for the e-mail which i will read properly when i've got some work done today BUT i have to tell you the freakiest thing - we have exactly the same birthday!!!! honestly, i couldnt believe it when i saw your d.o.b. (apart from the year of course, which is a little different ) so it seems we are all a bunch of obsessive virgos on this site, PMSL
