dyzz been eyeing it cautiously. Wouldnt be able to go on night out but would take ds to the picnic. i am just liverpool end of m62 so about 40 ish mins away by car. Only reason a bit dubious is cos wouldnt really know anyone.

dyzzidi · 14/04/2005 11:36

Nemo you would know Me!!! I am in Salford (agecroft) just at the end of the M602, about five minutes from Heaton Park.

I am always a it nervous about these things as well but if you want to go we could always meet in a cafe for a coffee beforehand or something then we could arrive together so it won't be as awkward. just a thought!

I would like to meet some of the people and think a picnic is great because you could always leave after an hour if you feel uncomfortable, and we are lucky it's not too far for us.

Nemo1977 · 14/04/2005 11:46

thats true dyzz..will keep thinking about it..if u could tolerate ds that is..lol
I have met fast asleep [but we no longer speak] and MTS who is lovely

piffle · 14/04/2005 11:51

Ahhhhhhh DQ
See we knew that a line is a line. God knows I've seen enough of a line where there was NO line, to know NOT to argue with ANY line!
Geddit? Congrats honey pie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ps to all I've got the First Response OPK (is that the right abbreviation btw?)
Does anyone else know how the hell to use it?
Ps where is the best place to chart online?
TIA
Wendy, the time will soon be here, what a scary but exciting time for you - hugs (())

dyzzidi · 14/04/2005 11:52

Would love to meet you and DS how old is he?

If i feel left out an the baby front i may kidnap my nephew aged 15 mths for the day. I look after him quite a bit and he stays over once a week. I am really child friendly (15 nephews/nieces and years of being the sole babysitter will do that to anyone)

I think i must be the only person without a child to regulary take up 2 for 1 offers on babywipes

who is MTS??

Nemo1977 · 14/04/2005 11:54

lol hes 18mths

MTS is mummy to steven

Bring ur nephew so they can play together..he would love it

Nemo1977 · 14/04/2005 11:55

piffle i thought fertility friend seemed quite good for charting as it covered all bases
no idea about first response opk sorry

dyzzidi · 14/04/2005 11:56

So would my nephew he is now becoming football mad ad wanders around kicking things saying kickball. He gets so excited around other kids he just grins constantly!

Nemo1977 · 14/04/2005 12:03

welcome to our busy baby ordering thread bubble i was really interested in you talking about crystals cause i'm not remotely a new-age hippie either - but i have a friend who has those tendencies, LOL, and she v. sweetly sent me a crystal after she heard about my m/c. it is rose quartz i think, anyhow pinky coloured (!) and i keep it next to my persona in the bathroom

milosmum - you didnt sound harsh dont worry! hope i didnt either, was just egging on piffle to get the all important smiley OPKs. mother nature can always use a little assistance!

bella - enjoy the reflexology tonight, tell us all about it

george - hows the running going? is it going???!

dyzz - nice to have you back with us

wendy - bella is going to hold your hand through this cycle.... priority order placed for you

munzie - oh munzie, you've got plenty of time to get those six bd's in, LOL, and at your age im sure you've got the stamina

cadmum/wendy/nemo/girl/heres - howdy!

isnt is just great about dqueen?

piffle · 14/04/2005 13:02

Phew
Have just done FF and have entered every single cycle since dd was born oct 2002!!!
I had a m/c in Oct 03, ectopic in Nov 04
Surely now it must be time for a keeper, just one more pleeeeeeeeeease

Bella23 · 14/04/2005 13:06

Afternoon Rom.
Don't worry will bore you all over how the foot thingy goes tonight. Am a bit nervous to be honest, just don't want her to think I am a bit weird. Am sure it will all be ok once I start talking to her.
Its such fab news about DQ, really does lift the mood of this thread, makes me realise that we can all get there and proves that determination does pay off !!
Had a really good chat with my friend last night, was nice to be able to talk freely about TTC. Most of my friends are having similar panicks about TTC eg not having a fella, feeling that time is running out, in a bad relationship so don't feel they can try etc so don't really feel I can talk to them about how I feel as it makes people uneasy when you are talking about their worst fears as well! Also get the feeling that they may be thinking that well at least I am actively trying etc...its all a bit of a mind field so end up when asked how I am I just say the usual..."I'm fine"
Sorry am just rambling on here, just wondered if anybody else felt this with their friends in RL? Thank God for you guys otherwise I literally would be talking to myself about TTC as have to restrict what I say to DH as otherwise he thinks I am obsessive!

milosmum · 14/04/2005 13:11

i use the strip opks and have just seen the price of the smiley ones- oh my god- how on earth can they get away with charging that much!!!!!! think ill just keep using my strip ones.....
hey most of us must live in the same area as i live in Swinton which is just next to agecroft and abot 10 mins from heaton park- how bizarre is that!!!
romilly- you didn t sound harsh- think im just hormonal and a bit down as the whole world appears to be pregnant and im not..... guess my time will come..

romilly · 14/04/2005 13:13

bella sweetheart, i so hear you - cant talk about it in RL with anyone hardly! it just doesnt make good dinner party conversation, PMSL

OP posts:
milosmum · 14/04/2005 13:14

bella im with you- everyone thinks im possesed. thye ve never wanted a child and tried to get pregnant- they all had "accidents"...so thye really dont get it- glad i have u lot-otherwise i would be at a complete loss....

Bella23 · 14/04/2005 13:20

Thanks ladies, good to hear I am not the only one. My friend and I had this sort of "therapy" last night where we admitted to each other all the thoughts we have that make us think we are mad / scary / horrible etc. eg admitting jealous feelings about people, incredulous feelings over people who just feel pregnant by accident etc.... Do you know what, it felt so good to say them out loud, felt like I was purging!!.....and I was sober!! Was good girl on water all night!

milosmum · 14/04/2005 13:24

good to hear- its also get to me the amout of people who fall pregnant "by accident". i never had any accident but did fall pregnant straight away with my 1st- actually it was the first time with no contraception (lucky, i know) but after 2 years of trying for this one, i wish i had their luck for "accidents". if i did i d be pregnant by now.......

dyzzidi · 14/04/2005 14:00

I could do with an 'accident' just now

hey Milosmum we are almost neighbours I live on the new estate at agecroft and I moved there from Salford area!

Embarrassed to say I don't know anyone on the estate yet as i am too busy working all the time. Are you going to the meet up?

milosmum · 14/04/2005 14:28

unsure yet Dyzz- ill let you know. im on the same road of safeway in swinton- know where i mean? i was born in salford- just off langworthy rd.... its a really small world.....

yellowbear · 14/04/2005 14:29

Afternoon Dq that is fabulous news! That's 2 BFP's (so far!) this month so orderyourbaby.dom must be working.

Wouldn't mind an order for Jan if you could oblige.

I also find it hard to talk about ttc in rl, I either have friends who just 'don't do kids/babies'! or the others are pg or just had babies & I just feel like I am moaning!

I always seemed to have caught so easily before so am now getting worried it is my age. I know I already have a DS & should be grateful but I so much want a little playmate for him.

dramaqueen72 · 14/04/2005 14:38

hey ladies. i'm still here. I live as far south in UK as you can get, pretty much, without getting wet! so i cant do the meet up! booo!
bella, youre foot thingy will NOT be boring! its sounds heavenly and if it can shove you closer to the BFP then its going to be WONDERFUL!
Rom, thanks for kind words, and everyone else for that matter. means such alot to read them!
I once started speaking about ttc to a frined who stopped me and basically told me i was obsessive and freaky! so i certainly DONT speak to anyone about it. dh i tell prob alittle more than i should, as he thinks i'm alittle crazy over it, but hes very good at listening and going 'wow' in the right places. my closest friend is my penpal, we met ttc our daughters so she totally 'gets' my conversation lately. thank god! its very hard isnt it when ttc really does occupiy your waking thoughts and yet you cant say so out loud! this thread has been my lifesaver. definately!!
george, your HPT turned up today, second post, so I didnt use FMU and i still got a BFP on it! now THAT made it more real for me, trying another brand and knowing it wasnt just some dodgy batch of tests i had giving me a false reading!!! so THANKYOU george!
would you like my leftover opk sticks/ and if theres any HPTs left after i have finished testing??!!LOL they could be lucky!
will find dec due thread but can I still loiter around here too??

dyzzidi · 14/04/2005 14:38

Hi Milos mum I was born on Liverpool Street!! Wow it certainly is a small world.

Bella23 · 14/04/2005 14:50

DQ and Nemo - please carry on loitering!
Will have to try and educate my DH on the saying of "wow" in the right places. At the moment he just looks at me kinda blank and says "I am sure other people don't go through all this trying for a baby"!!!!!!!!! He has got better, mainly due to my crying fits which have made him realise that he either fully co-operates in this baby making operation or he commits his wife to an asylum!
