lol@nemo I think I may just do that hell I don't care! althou I was hoping to BD at least 6 times in the 48 hours of OV which is aparently what u're ment to do, so lets see - if he can come home b4 going back to work thats once, straight in from work that's twice, at night, three wesd mornin four weds avo (i'm sure I can tlak him into having 'sports' afternoon at home! five) and b4 he goes out 6!) what do u recon girls? 6 times one of the little buggers has to hit the spot doesn't it??

neom (((hugs))) don't get to disheartened hon, we all have our down times, and it ain't over till the old bag sings full flow!

RachelRog · 10/04/2005 12:12

Hi to all
Haven't posted in the last few days but still reading what everyone is up to.
I have a question! I went to see my friend (who is 24 weeks pregnant!) and she has lent me a persona......but reading the manual it says if you have been pregnant recently to wait till your third normal cycle to start......I am far too impatient to wait that long so do you think it might be worth starting when AF arrives......I had m/c nearly 3 weeks ago and hoping cycle will come as normal (or am I dreaming???) But the sticks are SO expensive and don't want to waste them if it is hopeless!
What do you think?

Nemo1977 · 10/04/2005 12:15

rach maybe leave it a month to see what happens with ur cycle...usually get af within 6 wks after mc....good luck

Well hello again all
I just retested cos i never left test for 5mins and dh has confirmed there is a second line at 7mins past doing test...says dont read after 10mins... It is faint but there...am trying not to get excited but my xmas baby order may actually come on time....will re test tommorow and see what hgappens...almost crying here just ion case its false hope...OMG vfp

RachelRog · 10/04/2005 12:23

Hi Nemo

Thanks for reply.....will try and wait.

Your test sounds really hopeful.....fingers crossed for you for tomorrow!

george32 · 10/04/2005 12:36

Ooohhh Nemo / Mishi, sounds promising.....you must be climbing the walls!! I do hope you are p/g. Keeping everything crossed for you. xx

Rach, we don't seem to be fond of waiting on this thread!! Wait til you get your AF and then give it a go. Apparently it takes a few cycles to get used to you anyway so you might as well start as soon as you can. Whats the worst that can happen??!!
Munz......6 times!!!! I must be really slacking!
Lovely to see you here Girl, my cycle keeps changing so might as well make it up!!

Question time.....My temp has only risen by 0.1 degree C since my OPK do you think this is the Ov temp rise? It has been up for the last 2 days but not very much of an increase is it.

Babydust to all...

munz · 10/04/2005 12:51

ooh I can answere this now gerorde (I watched a video!) you need to have 3 'base' line days then any rise there after is to suggest u have OV (normally a big jump thou) what CD r u?

Rach - er would say in this instance to hold out (if u can) until u've had at least one 'normal' cycle. so wait this one and try next time if u can hold off. also don't forget to reset the machine.

Nemo - looking v v positive girl, fingers crossed, i'll be looking out for u tomorrow, and will also be standing under all the baby dust showers! lol, ooh only a week to go! god now i'm worried, what if I'm crap!

Diddle · 10/04/2005 15:26

HI everyone, can i join you? i can't believe ow long tis thread si alreayd after just a week, i can't read all the messages started too, but my eyes are going funny.

Stats:

Me: 24
DH: 33

m/c 2 - April 05

waiting for AF to arrive, dreading it. we're not starting trying again until at least one AF.

Feeling really rubbish at the mo.

No children yet.

Wishing you all loads of luck for a smooth ride.

Diddle · 10/04/2005 15:27

oh dear my spelling isn't very good. must check my messages before posting

munz · 10/04/2005 15:32

hi diddle ((hugs)) sorry to hear u've been havng a rough trott just lately, BFN is Big fat negative (p = Postive) hope things work out for you sooner. u'll find lots of support on this thread for u.

RachelRog · 10/04/2005 17:07

Hi Diddle

I hope you don't mind me asking but I see you had a m/c in Jan and then April (must still be very raw....I had a m/c at end of March so I share your pain .)

Did you get pregnant straight away??

That is what I was hoping to do...I just want to get pg again ASAP but would you not recommend it?
I do worry it might be too soon if I did get caught straight away but I think when you have had a m/c sometimes it is the only thing that makes you feel any better. But then I worry that it might be too soon and I would hate to m/c again.

Sorry......I am rambling!! (Doing alot of that lately!!)

Diddle · 10/04/2005 17:16

Rach - Yes we did start trying again straight away, felt ready and we had heard a lot of success stories from friends who had been in the same situation, tried again before their period came and they were pregnant staright away.

I can't say if i would recommend it or not. I suppose if your body is ready for it and nothing goes wrong then its worth doing, but thats the only problem with Miscarriage, nobody knows whats happening inside you.

I'm really sorry for your loss, i know how you must be feeling. I wanted to be pregnant again and do now, but we have told oursleves that we will wait for AF then try again. Just so we have mor efo an idea of dates etc, and my body ahs time to recover because at the moment i just feel drained. Our hopes of a little one before xmas have gone so we're just taking ti a bit slower this time. The worry will still be there though when i'm pregnant again, its normal i suppose. The first time we never even thought about it happening and were more than shocked when it did. But this time it has made us sad and angry but not as empty as the first, not as shocked.

You need to do whatever feels right for you, there is no less chance of having a perfect pregnancy if you try now, so do what you think is best for you and your partner.

Now who's rambling sorry, must have needed to share that. I wish you all the best, and have fun trying, don't put too much pressure on yourselves.

RachelRog · 10/04/2005 17:23

Thanks for that Diddle

I never thought it would happen to me.....even lying on the table before my scan I never thought for a second she would say anything was wrong......but the foetus had stopped growing at 6 weeks. So my m/c was what they called a missed m/c and I can't imagine having another scan when I get pregnant again.

It must be so sad to have had 2 and I really feel for you. I wish you all the best with ttc and hopefully we can both relax a little and let it happen as it will.

I shall look out for your postings!!

Diddle · 10/04/2005 17:29

I have another scan for next monday and if i hadn't done a pg test yesterday we would still be waiting to know for sure if it had gone or not. But the test came up negative, i was gutted hadn't let myself believe it until then. I was dreading my 12 weeks scan and can't imagine what you have gone through.
We didn't have much problem when ttc, we have a little system that a friend of mine told me about, if you ttc every 3 days for a month or two you have a good chance of catching quite quickly. worth a try we did it and it worked.

RachelRog · 10/04/2005 17:36

My DH and I are trying to do the business (!!) every other day. I have no idea what my hormones are like at the moment.....whether it is the right time or not but just been trying to go for it.

Have you m/c naturally both times then?? Do you know I don't know what is worse.....to start bleeding knowing you might be losing the baby or to go for 12 weeks with no signs at all, go for a scan and then be told the foetus has died.

It's so cruel.

sistermoon · 10/04/2005 17:53

Nemo everything crossed in a manner of speaking for you xxxx

Bella23 · 10/04/2005 17:57

YE HA - computer back in action
Hello all ladies.....
DQ - OMG, just read the awful story about someone on fertility friend posting a load of lies, lordy lord how freakish! She must have serious problems to make stuff up like that...realy shocking!
Welcome to diddle, sorry about your 2 m/c, stay with us as we are al determined to get our babies on this thread.
Rachrog - i would be tempted to wait off a couple of months before using persona as it won't be able to store correct info so soon after your m/c. In the mean time get yourself some clearblue digital ovulation tests as they will be able to tell you when you ov.....plus they are fun with faces on them. Good luck.
Nemo - still got everything crossed for you, sounds like you tested too early........nail biting stuff!
Munz - bding 6 times in 48 hours.......that would be pretty impressive, i think my Dh might pass out at the mere suggestion!!!
Rom - cool you won grand national....very at the thought of drinking your winnings. Well have managed a dry weekend and I am literally gagging for a glass of wine.....soooooooooo hard! DH is being great though, both going to just see if it makes a difference to success this month, if not .........will scream!!!
Keira - welcome to the mad house....

Right off to have some food....
Lots of love to you all on this lovely weekend

Bella23 · 10/04/2005 18:00

DQ - oops meant conception store..........durh!

Diddle · 10/04/2005 18:01

Rach - It is cruel, yes m/c naturally both times. i thought at first that maybe it was just a little light leeding that might stop as soon as it started, as i know that this can be common.

Haven't had a D&C just m/c'd at home. Horrible stuff, yes the world is cruel, i'm having a very angry day today, just mad at the world.

Better luck next time.

All you can do is try, i wouldn't do it anymore often than you are because DH won't have enough time to produce strong enough swimmers.
Just stay positive. Don't stress about it, what will be will be, its out of our control for now.

I'm going to ask my doctor if they would consider doing tests this time rather than us having to possibly go through it again before they research it.

munz · 10/04/2005 19:27

bella after 3 months of no sex i'm hoping he'll jsut pounce! lol. we'll see. what's going on with FF then? I do look in on there occasionally but never post anything.. give us the goss!

george32 · 10/04/2005 20:20

Argh, don't you hate it when you type a message then hit the wrong key & delete it!!!

Have to type it all over again now......

george32 · 10/04/2005 20:26

Right, here goes again........

Welcome to the thread Diddle & Kiera. I hope you get lots of support and luck from this thread. Friendly bunch, just tend to go nuts around any kind of stick you can wee on!!

Nemo, hope you are getting on OK. I'm sure you are climbing the walls by now waiting til you can test again. Good luck for tomorrow.

Welcome back Bella. You did well on the drinking, you too Rom. I've gone teetotal too for the time being (gets a bit embarrasing when I cry after every glass of wine ). Any news on your new gardner yet?

So testers after Nemo......Rom? DQ? anyone else for this week? Lucky week I think.

Thanks for the info Munz. I've studied my chart from every angle, converted it to Fahrenheit, changed it back, bought a new thermometer and now come to the conclusion that I'll know nothing til tomorrow. If my temp is over 36 degrees I'm on my 2WW (finally!!) So the usual question....how soon can I test??

munz · 10/04/2005 21:12

girls girls, any one therre???

I have such good news - my DH is home on monday afternoon not tuesday night so u know what that means! yes even more BD!!! yay!!! OMG i'm sooo chuffed, he's off of the naughty pile for the minute, so lets see, that's at least an extra two bd!! lol. YAY!

DQ - this person was on FF? that's just plain sick, I hope she was never on MN.

munz · 10/04/2005 21:18

rom - I won't tell u how old I am then! lol.

ooh and have started to bleed again, but I don't care cos DH is coming home early! guess that proves that stress puts AF off/can stop her, as until a hour ago I was really miffed and stressed out with him on how everything was gonna work out so for this week i'll be standing under anyone who's gonna shower the baby dust about! YAY!!!!!!!
