Arrghh another BFN today and still no AF. This is day 31/32 of a usually 28 day cycle and the longest cycle I've had before is 30 days. The BFN was very clear, no hint of a positive so I'm sure I'm not pg and would just like my period now please.

girlwithacurl · 29/01/2009 09:27

early i will prob test on sunday... should probably leave it a couple more days, but due on sat so might not be able to wait longer. Assuming that is AF doesn't get me first!

WizzyWoo · 29/01/2009 11:27

Morning All, I'm on the 1ww and it's killing me! Been symptom spotting like mad but due to bad timing of colds/DH working away, I'll be frankly amazed if I get a BFP. Determined not to test early though...

Bubble - Keep the faith, you may still have a BFP. With DD, I had a BFP one day (day before I was due because I was feeling v nauseous), 2 BFN's the next 2 days, a BFP 3 days later then a confirmed positive from the doc. What a rollercoaster that was!! Hope I get a clear cut answer either way this time. Got my sister coming up this weekend so hopefully it will take my mind off waiting to test.

Really worried that my DH will be upset if I'm not pg. He's so broody at the moment and keeps talking about baby names... Keep trying to soften the blow just in case by saying that it may not happen so quickly this time and if not, at least we can go out for drinks for his birthday next month but it seems to go in one ear and out the other.

How's everyone else feeling who's waiting to test? Babydust to all *

earlynite · 29/01/2009 12:13

girl AF got me on sunday but only bled for 2 days so tested again today. BFN. Gonna be BDing like crazy in Feb! Probably fate coz I am going on Holiday in Aug and wouldnt have been able to go if PG now. Getting PG feb or march will be perfect. I think I am messing up my body by getting up tight about. Babies are all I can think about.

WizzyWoo · 29/01/2009 12:32

Hi early Sorry to hear about AF and BFN

I'm really worried that if I'm not pg this month, I'm going to get waaaay to uptight too. I wouldn't like to think how often I think about having another baby/am I pg/ttc each day. My sister and SIL both ttc really hard but took years but as soon as they decided to give up, they got pg.

If we're both on the Nov thread, we'll have to keep each other grounded and hopefully we'll both be pg in no time!

rosie15977 · 29/01/2009 12:59

Hi this is a first time for me but i have been reading everybodys messages for months so i thought i'd join in.I have a 3 year old girl and had a misscarriage last nov at 12 wks. My LMP started on 24TH Dec and have been TTC all month, my cycle is difficult as it can be between 28 and 52 days, done 2 x HPT which were NEG but had EWCM last sat on day 33 don't know when to do another test now. Thanks for any advice

girlwithacurl · 29/01/2009 14:13

Hi Rosie, welcome. I think a "normal" lutal phase is between 10 -14 days (approx 2 weeks), so you should probably think about testing 14 days after the day you think you ov'd, so if you had EWCM on CD33 than I would test on CD47. It must be really frustrating to have such unpredictable cycles, were they like this before the MC? Mine has been much longer since my MC in sept.

earlynite · 29/01/2009 19:37

Hi Ladies, I need to talk. I have been feeling really anxious today. I am worried that having another baby would be the wrong thing to do. We have money issues which would only be compounded if we have another. On the other hand not having one would break my heart. Money isnt everything! Right?!

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 29/01/2009 20:55

Hi earlynite. Would it really be so bad if you have another baby? Are you working?

earlynite · 29/01/2009 21:02

Hi half I work school hours (5days) and have a really good maternity package. If I did have another I would like to work less hours as I did with DS (3 days). I am probably panicing over nothing but the current economic climate worries me. I have friends who are being made redundant left right and centre. We have pretty secure jobs but it is still scary.

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 29/01/2009 21:18

I work full time and have been thinking along the same lines. But on the other hand I'm no spring chicken and had a rubbish time last baby so want to get this over and done with before I change my mind!

The world economy is such a massive thing which could go either way. I am not worrying about it. Plan for it yes but don't worry.

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 29/01/2009 21:28

On another note my boobs are still feeling massive and sore but I am not really feeling preggers today. Just a bit wobbly (boobs usually nothing to write home about) and tired. Might be early nighting myself.

earlynite · 29/01/2009 21:41

half I might have missed it but are you testing soon?

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 29/01/2009 21:48

Im not due on til next weekend so its a while yet....you?

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 29/01/2009 21:54

Deffo going to bed now. Internet being really slow here too. Night.

earlynite · 29/01/2009 21:55

Actually, i have already had BFN and AF. I have joined the November thread but can't seems to leave you lot! Will be BDing as if my life depends on it in Feb.

MintChocAddict · 29/01/2009 22:53

Hi All,

Been lurking and not posting much as really fed up with long unpredictable cycle.

AF got me today on CD43. Fed up and not going to join the November thread as with cycle length the way it is would probably need to go straight to December.

Congratulations on all the BFPs and sympathies for those who got caught by AF. Best of luck to those on the 2WW.

bubblebell1 · 30/01/2009 08:52

mint im sorry af got you. big hugs and lots of luck for this cycle x

Morning Ladies, it's just amazing that we can find out so many things almost instantly or at a click of a button, but yet have to wait what seems and feels like a lifetime in order to find out whether we are pregnant! go figure?

Sorry for those of you who got AF, she's so damm mean

WizzyWoo · 30/01/2009 10:21

Morning All. Early how are you feeling today? I keep having the same kind of thoughts as you, but usually depending on what DD's behaviour has been like each day. One day I can't wait to be pg and have #2 but others I panic about what if I am pg because DD's tantrums + new baby would be too much to cope with... then follows another panic that the previous panic has jinxed me - this ttc business has me all over the place, believe it or not, I'm renowned by colleagues for being "the calm one"!!

I'm desperately trying to hold off testing early but I can't stop thinking about it. I thought my cycle was 31 days, which it had been since laparoscopy last year but it always used to be 28 days. But I think I ov'd on day 14 of my cycle, which presumably would make it 28 days? So in theory, I could test on Sunday, which would be cd28... oh, I'm so confused and impatient - someone slap me!!

eeyore2 · 30/01/2009 11:15

Hi girls, earlynight I hope you are feeling less anxious today. I am TTC for a first baby and keep thinking about how much everything will change and all the lovely things in my life that I would have to give up... but then the overhelming urge to reproduce washes over me and it is all forgotten again! The other thing I try to remind myself is that the changes in your life-style / money worries etc are all probably quite short-term, but a baby is forever!
Bubble - are you ok? Poor you. Do you know if you ovulated? I really hope you don't end up with another endless cycle-from-hell.
