Oooh, good luck Homeinthesun - sounds promising. Everything is crossed for you!

theboob · 13/01/2009 19:36

hi ladies, well i came home from college and fell asleep from 4 till 6

I'm sure i'm doing this to myself and just driving myself crazy trying to spot something lol

I just remember tht with all my pregnancy being eally tired is a big early part of it.
my best friend is due tomorrow and this will be her first baby and she is so nervous....I wish I could help her but nothing anybody can say will make her feel better ,her only comfort is the fact that if it was that bad I would not be ttc #4
DH has hidden my tests as he said I keep looking at them

MensaReject · 13/01/2009 19:39

Hi all (hello newbies) still no symptoms here, did have some creamy white cm yesterday and got all excited but its gone this today. No idea how long my cycle will be as this is my first on Clomid. Have been moving house this week and tried to avoid lifting heavy things just incase xx

Catz · 13/01/2009 19:49

Hi all,
Just wondering whether anyone else had 'morning sickness' symptoms whist ovulating? Yesterday and this morning I've felt queesy and nauseous. It really reminded me of early pregnancy (but nothing like as bad and only for a short period of time). I noticed it last month too and was wondering whether it might be an ovulation sign. I'm not using any OPK or temping et so not sure if I'm ovulating but I'm on day 15/16 (depending on whether I count from the night the period started or the day after) of a 28-30 day cycle so it's about the right time.

On the other hand, maybe I'm thinking about this so much that I've tricked my body into thinking I'm already pg!

DH away with work for the next two nights so not great timing!

DevilsAdvocaat · 13/01/2009 20:17

dh wants to stop trying this month because of the holiday shinanigans

i agree but am secretly hoping i am anyway.

good luck you lot, i'll start a november thread i guess!

FifiOK · 13/01/2009 20:28

Welcome angel and pickme homeinthesun I'm hoping I have ovulated given I had a good line on the opk Sunday, and EWCM still now, but I guess you never really know. Don't worry about the lack of BDing, just make sure you jump on him tonight . Looking at some of the other threads some people seem to get pg after just one bd while others have a huge shagathon and still don't get pg (like me)

Catz I've not really had any other ovulation symptoms but I do think that feeling a bit queasy is quite common but because we're ttc we automatically think its due to being pg. I was really nauseous last month and had convinced myself I was pg, until I got BFN & AF. Still imagining going for a first scan if I get pg this month only to find out I'm 4 weeks futher on

Anyone near the top of the list planning to test soon ? We need some more graduates.

Catz · 13/01/2009 21:27

Thanks fifiOK. I'm absolutely certain I'm not actually pg because I'm never less than 28 days so the chances of me having ovulated, and it having implanted and given me pg signs by day 15/16 are pretty much zero. You're right though, it's so easy to think you've got pg signs. We'd only just decided to start trying again last month and I'd got loads of symptoms before we'd even bd!

Just wondering whether it's a likely ovulation sign. I'm not doing all the OKP etc at the moment because it's early days and I don't want to get too much into a 'bd because it's the 'right' night' frame of mind. Having said that, it's virtually impossible to stop yourself looking for signs and getting into exactly that mindset anyway!

eeyore2 · 13/01/2009 21:44

Hi everyone!
Angel and Bubble, I had a colposcopy earlier this year. You can have a colposcopy if you might be pregnant because the only thing that actually goes inside you is the speculum (thing that holds everything open). Then the actual colposcope is just basically a microscope that is on the outside looking in at your cervix. So nothing that could hurt a bean there.
However, if you need treatment for pre-cancerous lesions on your cervix (like I did), then I think you cannot have the treatment while you are pregnant, unless it is a real emergency. You will need to be observed during the pregnancy and come back afterwards for the treatment.
Also, after the treatment they tell you to avoid getting pregnant until after you have got the all-clear, around four to six months later. That was what happened to me, and is the reason I have only just started TTC, as I only got the all clear in November.
I hope this helps and good luck! Hopefully it will all be over soon and you can get back on with TTC.

eeyore2 · 13/01/2009 21:47

Oh and Angel, sorry if you knew all that already!

WizzyWoo · 13/01/2009 22:18

Evening all, haven't checked in for couple of days as had hideous cold (problem with working in hospital is catching all germs). Managed to BD last night but hard to get in mood when full of snot and combo of cold and possibly thinking about ttc too much made me tense up so much that I had to have a couple of drinks to chill out enough.

Thanks for the advice Beanie and Bubblebell. I went to antenatal classes but didn't really click with anyone there. Went to mums groups religiously after having DD but really felt like Bubblebell described, as if I had a huge sign on my head saying "Crap Mum" for everyone to see. Spoke to HV today and she said that I'll have more support in place this time round, just in case it happens again. At least if I get pg again, I'll have people to chat to on MN to keep me sane.

Is anyone else finding Jan a really looooong month? Not just because of £££££££££££ (or lack of it to be precise) but because of ttc... still watching for ewcm but probably too soon for that.

How are our resident pg ladies doing? Can't wait for next wave of bfp's to roll in !

Sabs1981 · 13/01/2009 22:47

Hello ladies, can I join?

I had a mmc in sept and then waited 3 months before trying again. AF is due to visit me this sat 17th jan. I'm really hoping she doesnt but getting signs that she will

TTC #1 and this is my first cycle of trying since mmc. If I do get pregnant then my due date would be 3rd october, if its next month for me then my due date would be 31st oct...

Good luck to all you ladies!

girlwithacurl · 14/01/2009 10:22

OMG yesterday I had to do a presentation at 4:00, and as I had a neg OPK in the day, but was certian I should be ov'ing (I clearly think I know better than those silly sticks ) I wanted to do another one in the evening. So while I couldn't not drink water (presenting with a dry mouth = me not being able to actually speak, not a good look with the MD in the room! and then I was pretty much forced into a celebratory drink after I didn't get home until 7:00.. and i was bursting, oh the pain! and then, guess what! yep, negative! arrrrggg...

joy and fifi i don't think anyone would seriously think you were having a baby just to copy them, i mean that would be mad! fatandi if your SIL wasn't pg she might feel bad, but if it was me I would be really glad to have someone else in the family going through it with me, and the cousins can play together etc. sounds lovely! I am sure she will see the positives and just be really happy for you!

irishmumwannabe · 14/01/2009 10:41

girlwithacurl LOL at your story - I'm not doing the whole OPK thing yet but am sure I will have plenty of those moments when I do eventually start them (prob next month)

Sabs welcome to teh party - sprry to hear about your mmc. There are loads of ladies on here who have had similar experiences.

No news here - ttyl

Joy27 · 14/01/2009 10:49

girlwithacurl, how right you are. It would be mad! Actually having vented a little on these boards yesterday I seem to have got these feelings in order, which is a huge relief!

sabs, hello again- we're on another thread together too. Fingers crossed you stay af-free come saturday.

fatandiknowit · 14/01/2009 10:51

thanks for all the reassurance ladies

irishmumwannabe · 14/01/2009 11:08

OMG I am so sorry (again) about my spelling. I will try harder.

Just welcome to all the newbies and sorry to Devils abotu having to stop for a month - Sure I'll probably be seeing you on teh November thread myself!

littlemiss26 · 14/01/2009 11:54

hello

thought i'd check in with you all! still not sure whats going on with me - still trying to bd regularly but not sure if there is any point! did preg test yesterday (couldn't resist ) and it was definately negative - arrrggghhh think i'm getting very frustrated! how are all the rest of you doing??

theboob · 14/01/2009 12:29

well I am WEAK
I found the tests that DH hid and I was so bored I tested
I left the test on top of the toilet and carried on with the house work,DH went to the toilet and saw it and shouted down the stairs that I am mental and why?
I asked him how many lines there were and he said one and a really faint one,I ran up those stairs soooo fast but he was looking at the plastic so it was a BFN lol
I knew it would be it is far to early to ts but with a bag full of them I could not help it ,ah well only 8 days to go and I PROMISE i wont test again till then
hope you ae all well and lets see some BFP's soon

littlemiss26 · 14/01/2009 12:37

theboob those pregnancy tests keep calling to you don't they?? evil little things . I've loads of cheapie ones so its too easy to test - i just want something to happen - ovulation/AF/pregnancy - not fussy at this stage, just hate limbo!!!

WizzyWoo · 14/01/2009 13:07

Oh Boob I read your post with my heart in my mouth, hoping you'd have a surprise BFP at the end of the story. I'm not on my 2ww yet but I bet I'll be feeling the same as you. I hate not knowing whether all the BDing is doing any good or not.

Hopefully next time you do one (if you manage to resist until end of cycle), there will be a line present that isn't just the plastic.

bubblebell1 · 14/01/2009 13:15

Hi ladies!!

how are you all today??

boob sorry it was a bfn but on the plus side you are testing early and you could still be on track for a BFP!! fingers crossed I am exactly the same.. i bought some ebay cheapies and will prob be testing everyday from 7dpo

littlemiss i hope something happens soon
devil sorry about your ttc break... maybe your already pregnant and wont have to after all fingers crossed

girl you make me laugh i hope you get a pos on you opk soon.

hi again sabs (from twenties tread)

wizzy know what you mean about long month.. after dhs card being cloned and him having time off the wages this month were poor and ttc is taking over everything. dh said all i talk about is ovulation.

im on cd11 not been keeping up with my everyday promise. so far its been every other day and no sign of ovulation yet..

opks are a fricking nitemare cant seem to keep a full bladder for 4 hours or not drink what a pain in the arse...

OP posts:
theboob · 14/01/2009 14:05

thanks girls...i thought i would give you all a laugh
I dont feel dissapointed in any way at all,I was the same with DS2 spent s much money on tests and had a row in asda with DH because he sid no to another test in the trolly,so i had a paddy and said if i could not have the tests he could not have his BBQ sauce lol
luckily for me it was a BFP ,but had spent about £50 on tests that month
I will wait to test again(i think)
littlemiss hope something happens soon
bubble good luck with your marathon
wizzy the 2WW is horible .....and the ebay test were a bad idea

idreamofbeanie · 14/01/2009 14:25

Hi boob - thanks for the laugh. It was just what I needed this morning. I tend to go shopping on my own and it's amazing how many tests find their way into my trolley! I am really trying to resist testing early. Only on day21 so a week still to go. Have any of you ever had a BFP when testing early?

theboob · 14/01/2009 14:38

idreamofbeanie this will be my first time charting, with my other dc i just BD then left it a week and tested until i either got a BFP or AF ,never really took me long before so i cant be that lucky for a 4th time ...preparing for a wait,i dont really know if i was testing early or not,but i am CD21 too ,so we will see this week out together

DevilsAdvocaat · 14/01/2009 15:26

dh said he doesn't care about the holiday and we can get the train if needs be. i didn't even show that i was upset as i know this holiday is important to him. i guess he must really want another baby too
