OK girls, will go and get the list, but have lots of comfy sofa's and chairs, chocolate cake and virtual champagne.

Good luck and positive vibes to us all!

xx ei xx

barbie1 · 21/03/2009 12:26

The medical care is fantastic however it cost...... the bil for today was about 450 pounds and god knows how much the scan will be tomorrow unless that included the scan the good news is that dh company pays for bupa.....so all ihad to do was to show the card i have been warned however that sometimes bupa wont cover the cost and we will get a call to pay up! im online now checking to see what it covers...

hi ei i remember you too sorry about af.....seems im the only one who wants it (only once mind you so that i know my body is back to normal!)

PistachioLemon · 21/03/2009 12:34

Thanks for the lovely welcome ladies. I've added myself to the table... have I done it correctly? Hoping to graduate soon, but looking forward to getting to know you all in the meantime.

jaamy yes we will!! but in the meantime a few more nights like last week will keep me going whens the next one gonna be then??
xx ei xx

SparklyPseudonym · 21/03/2009 13:49

Jaamy It's such a bloody emotional journey and everytime I hear someone is TTc/expecting I start to panic for them (although for most it's very easy and they have no idea what others go through!). Won't be going far...there are lots of BFPs coming and I want to see everyone of them.
Barbie Not a stalking at all - just knowing all too well how it feels to be in that limbo.

Molliemooma · 21/03/2009 18:39

Sparkly Looks a bit wierd if I don't mention your scan on here! So I will say again hurray now miss negative knickers can go away and miss positive pants can come to stay instead
EI Again so sorry she got you
Pistachiolemon Hello and welcome, wishing you every success and hope you bring some luck to our lovely thread
Barbie I thought I was the only person you stalked Humph [flounce emoticon] Fantastic news about your appointment, sounds like you've had such a positive outcome, really hope you can get things sorted once and for all, still waiting for my cycle buddy [wink} Lets hope they cover everything on Bupa or you will have to start selling yourself for camels
Zen Any news?
Beanie Has AF settled down yet?

PistachioLemon · 23/03/2009 10:39

Thanks again for the lovely welcome ladies. Hope you all had lovely weekends.

Well, my OV sticks have arrived and I'm due to start testing today. Wish me luck!

Jaamy · 23/03/2009 11:28

blackrock - Even when you've been poorly and not "done the deed" at the right time, it's still hard not to get hopes up. But sounds like you all prepared to give it a good go this month

Looks like there's going to be a lot of POASing going on - Blackrock and LP. Great target practice!! Hope you get good results.

Barbie - hoping you get some good feedback from tests this week.

Hope everyone else ok on this cold, windy rainy Monday morning. [brrrr]

Jaamy · 23/03/2009 11:29

I meant PL - PistachioLemon not LP!

thegreatescape · 23/03/2009 13:17

Good luck with the sticks, PL. I am also using mine for ov.

There are pregnancy tests at work so no matter how small a chance I always seem to end up testing at least once each month no matter how often I say to myself I will wait til day 35 and do it at home with dh outside the bathroom with his fingers crossed (have never done this, but feel that's how it 'should' be done). I always seem to crack and run off to work toilet - usually on day 27.

Patience is a virtue but sadly I have zero

PistachioLemon · 23/03/2009 16:45

Well, I did my OV test but it was neg (thought it would be but the instructions said to test from CD11). I had a bit of a panic though and am now suddenly worried in case they are all negative. Aaargh! Why is this so complicated!

Any news yet Zen?

zen1980 · 23/03/2009 21:05

Hey still no AF, have been thinking that last cycle was first after mmc and was longer than usual so maybe this one is following suit. Am defo not going to test until towards weekend if still no sign. Is an absolute bummer though as means AF is dragging on and will be clear into April before can go again. Am booked for smear next week as i thought one way or another i would know but yet again either way looks like i will have to cancel AGAIN its only about the tenth time ive cancelled!! (Found out i was pg last time).

Pistachio - keep testing it will come up when you least expect to see it. x

barbie1 · 24/03/2009 07:58

hi girlies

One more day unti i find out the news from the doctors...part of me wants them to find something does this sound odd? at least that way i can have treatment?

pl never got the hang of the stick thingys but keep peeing! im sure you will get apositive soon

zen how are you, bravo for holding out from testing, remember your af can be all over the place after mc, look at me! i have everything crossed for you though, do keep us posted

mollie im going to stalk you if you dont come back here again soon

jaamy can you please send the rain my way, i miss it so much! strange i know but im fed up with having to shower at least three times a day and change so many times, making more washing! i would give anything to be in the cold for a day......well maybe an hour and then il go back by the pool might go to ski dubai in the next few weeks just to get the cold

beanieb · 24/03/2009 08:58

barbie1 I completely understand that feeling of wanting them to find something to fix. When they told me my tubes looked clear I was actually slightly disappointed and had a few tears while getting changed. it's totally normal.

Good luck - here's hoping that even if there is nothing to fix you will be given help

Fingers crossed for you too Xen.

My period has been weird, very red blood all the way through which I think means it's fast flowing, matbe that is because my tubes are clearer than they were?

Anyhoo - seems to be stopping today so all hands to the pump next week. OH is already asking me when we should start giving it a go!

beanieb · 24/03/2009 08:58

woops zen not Xen!

barbie1 · 24/03/2009 09:58

oh shit just realised its today i get my results.....now im nervous...........

beanieb · 24/03/2009 10:16

Don't panic! Did they give you any indication when you had the scans about what they could see?

Just called the IVF clinic to check my HSG result has made it to them in preparation for my appointment next week. They HAVE!!

Am counting the days now. Period all but stopped so now I'm just going to try to be really healthy and keep my fingers crossed.

barbie1 · 24/03/2009 10:19

beanie thankyou for replying....no the girl wasnt english so we didnt talk much, she just made this face all the time....shall i call them?

can you tell me what hsg is? heard it loads of times but im a bit blonde when it comes to all of this Not sure what you are going through but good luck

beanieb · 24/03/2009 10:26

Hiya Barbie have they asked you to call or so you have an appointment?

An Hsg (Hysterosalpingogram) is basically an x-ray where they put a dye through your tubes and then xray to see if the dye flows through. It's a way of checking if your tubes are blocked or scarred and it's likely that if your scans come back fine they may suggest you have one.

It's like having a smear (so not painful) only some people find they get cramping when the dye goes through. more info here

barbie1 · 24/03/2009 10:30

thankyou...no they said they would call me, but now iver remembered its today im a mess i have just called them because im losing the plot, the doctor is with someone now so i have to wait. Never in a million years did i think that i would be so nervous.
Good luck with your results, have you got any lo already?
