On that note, still no AF. Test neg, so where is it? [hmmm] I just hope my cycle is not too messed up. Also still still still and against all bloody evidence obviously hope for the best.

Beanie, exactly as you said to me - sorry you're back there for another month. Really hope that this month works out for you with the last minute specialist dash!

Found out this week that you can't have MRIs while in first trimester - I thought it was just X-rays. Luckily I was booking rather than having booked! So got that booked for 4 wks time. From that point of view, bad month to get pg - so let's hope Sod's law comes into play...

can i just ask you all a quick question......when do i test?

with the others i just waited until about 2 weeks after AF and tested like a maniac until i got a BFP or AF,not sure of my cycle and always been iregular ,it costs a fortune and i'm really not sure when

(i know its looks stupid as i'm on num4 lol)

Just a thought on appointments - anyone gone private for that kind of thing, and if so have you used work-supplied insurance? Occured to me (thanks to all the foot stuff) that I have insurance which I could probably use, but I don't know if it would then get back to my HR department and potentially cause me issues (especially in a year when I'm targetting either baby or promotion!)

theboob, I'd wait at least 3 weeks after AF - I'm a really short cycle, but still figure that testing before CD23 is wasting money. Then, no more than every three days is my theory - I admit I don't alway hold to it though!

so can you re-use tests? I was wondering, and ickyness etc aside- its not like the reactive coating dissapears..couldn't it still react when you re-use a couple of days later...no? Sorry- I thought if I can check cm, I might as well save a test on tissue paper without fainting...

Sorry to see some of you back at the top. Have been looking into my pre-AF spotting/bleeding during the month (amongst other things) and it looks as though I might have endometriosis - obviously hoping that I don't but getting to the stage where I want to know if there's something wrong. Am desperate to be pregnant again but know that will bring a whole load of new worries....arggh! Don't you just love this time of year when you don't have Christmas/NY to think about.

Hello, I'm a newbie. I've lurked for some time and you all seem so lovely I was wondering if I could join you?

I'm 32 and have been ttc for 14 months, without any success at all. I've just booked a Drs appointment to talk about fertility testing. I'm trying to keep positive and have a fresh approach in the new year (we're trying the Deanna plan starting this month) but TBH I'm very down and utterly gutted whenever I hear someone else just got pregnant. My (4 years younger) SIL got pregnant on her ONE WEEK LONG honeymoon, due date next month.

I'd better stop moaning before you go off me already.

For the stats: af due 26th (31 day cycle). I have no kids (starting to wondering if I will EVER see a +ve pregnancy test in my lifetime)

Morning all.
Have tried ringing up to get my IVP (X-ray) done and they suggested next week, right in the middle of my cycle again, so it looks like I might not get to have it before my fertility appointment.

Happy new year everyone! [waves all round] Have been a bit crap at logging on lately so thought I should get back in the spirit of things. As I ovulated on day 17 of 27(ish) day cycle last month I tested days 14-18 but no smiley face. Then ran out of sticks. Decided not to bother peeing on anymore as they are getting on my nerves.

Practically zero chance of bfp this month as, ahem, not really been putting in the hours. DH keeps getting manflu and refusing to have sex with me. Have told him its in his job description. Also actually finding time between shift work, caring for ds and general exhaustion is making it all very tricky. Asked dh if he fancied early night last night only to be told he had to iron his shirts for work. Suspect I should get my legs waxed.

How do you all manage the constant bding? Without getting too personal, we (as in me and dh, rather than me and all of you) need to be doing it more often.

thegreatescape It's so awful when sex just becomes all about BD isn't it? I don't have that problem with DH as he is a toyboy and seems to have boundless amounts of energy and it's me making all the excuses well apart from when I'm OVing of course!

Well another month closer to test results and hopefully some answers, or if not back to TTC with avengence. It's approaching the anniversary of my first m/c this week so am feeling a little blue, can't believe I have a year of EDD's and anniversarys to get through! But will try to be positive and not whinge at you all too much [girn]

Hey Mollie I went past the 1st anniversary of my mc aboout when I broke my foot give or take a day or so. It wasn;t as bad for me as the edd but I know you have other edd's to come and feel for you, come moan and wail to us all you like.

I caved and tested earlier - bfn. I also had a call from breast cancer clinic asking me to ring them to book my consultants appointment so will do that tomorrow.

A newbie to mumsnet and baby making

My next cycle is due around 25 Jan, I'm on CD8 of my current cycle but can't get jiggy this month as I need to finish a course of antibiotics.

I think I'm doing everything I should be at this stage but already getting a little nervous so much for staying chilled.

I guess I'm on CD-20 of cycle-1

Evening everyone. I'm still in the office (13 hours and counting) so I'm feeling the BD strain a bit like thegreatescape. It's all very well for Zita bl**dy West to advocate relieving stress by "learning to delegate". I can't frikkin delegate anything without me being at risk of being sacked for not doing my job properly, which I'm sure is even more stressful!

I'm sure it's the same about the frequent BD advice and the Deanna plan, like we all live in a world where we have oodles of spare time to be getting us and our men in the perfect mood on a daily basis....christ, I'm doing well if I make it into the bed without having conked out fully clothed on top of it first, never mind summing up the energy and the...err...CM, to get the BD job done.

All I can say to thegreatescape is men generally respond well to a bit of a fuss and treating them like they are about 5 years old when they are sick. Hopefully he'll return the favour with a BD when he's up to it. You could also offer to help with the shirts and offer to do something to help him relax eg: massage/glass of wine/footrub/cup of tea or whatever?
