Hello Sabs have you been on sites like My monthly cycles or fertility friend, they're really helpful! I'm not very good at this stuff, and I'm sure my body is still out after mc in the summer, so not very helpful I'm afraid but wishing you lots of luck and babydust!!

pecanpie · 12/12/2008 08:36

Hi. I've been lurking and reading all of your posts and wish yo all lots of luck to conceive soon!

I was just wondering if anyone knew... I had a mmc and D&C on 9/10 November. I did a pg test after 3 weeks which was negative (i didn't check earlier). I then had EWCM over the past couple of days and did an ovulation test last night which showed a very faint surge. Do you think it's really possible? I only ever 'pass' the ovulation tests on the last one which is left so I have no more to double check with... I'm going to try not to buy any more otherwise I will drive myself mad!

Is it wise to be trying so soon? Do you think my body/womb be in decent shape already?

Sabs1981 · 12/12/2008 09:15

Thanks mrsdisorganised I will check those websites.

Hi pecanpie sorry cant help with your question but wanted to say hello anyway and sorry to hear about your mc

Sabs waves to everyone else. It Friday, yay! Anyone has any plans for the weekend, apart from watching the x-factor final!

hi pecan, I have read that you can try straight away, doctors advise to wait for one period, but that is for dating purposes. I think it is really entirely up to you, and when you feel ready. We were going to wait until after Christmas, which would've been 2 cycles, but after last af we decided to go for it, and we are now on the 2ww. Good luck to you

I will be watching X Factor tomorrow too

louisesh · 12/12/2008 18:36

notcitrus · 14/12/2008 19:17

hello... will be trying for #2 come March, as he was born in Sept and we don't want two children in the same academic year. And MrNC wants a wee rest.

Everyone I know thinks I'm mad, but I've wanted to try for another since #1 was a day old - not that he's not enough, he's fantastic, but I really want a sibling for him.

May well not happen though - took 7 years for him to turn up, just after we'd given up on the idea. We shall see.

Sabs1981 · 14/12/2008 19:45

welcome notcitrus! ...good luck whatever you and MrNC decide to do...maybe send you some babydust for you to store away?

Good to hear you had a good night louisesh How was the rest of your weekend?

I had a x-factor night yesterday...Happy Alex won, even if she did cry a bit too much at times! Love JLS too...
Today was spent doing some shopping for India and buying a secret santa present for work tomorrow...going to Pizza Express for xmas lunch no2

Havent heard from sausagemcgrah on here for a while. Hope things are OK with her....

Sabs waves to scamperT, pecanpie, VJay iggypiggy arena turtledove mrsdisorganised barbie and everyone else..Hope you all had a good weekend

Hi SABS Hope you enjoy your xmas lunch tomorrow.Had a good weekend like you watched the x factor final and just went to the gym today [plus a bit more BD] yeh!!!!

Hi to everyone else!!!!

SABS did your 2nd AF arrive at the expected date? if you don t mind me asking!!!

Sabs1981 · 15/12/2008 09:03

louisesh Dont mind you asking at all! my second AF after mc came 3 days earlier than I expected, which was great at it meant the time to try again would hopefully come earlier! Especially after it took 37-odd days for my first AF. So now for my third AF I'm expecting my cycle to return back to normal but secretly hoping it might come earlier again!

Very good hitting the gym on a sunday! Enjoy the BD'ing!

LittleRascal · 15/12/2008 12:50

Hi all
though i would join in too.
have a ds who is 8 months old and want to start trying again soon. Just stopped breast feeding and have had my first AF in nearly 2 years!!! (had mc in june and conceived straight away).
am hoping for next few months but had a little drunken night the other day and the next day had ewcm- oops!!!! also coincided with day 14! so its on my mind all the time- whan is it too early to test!!!? (on day 23 now) as the last one just happened I tested when i was already about 6 weeks! (i know- was very lucky!)

peacan- i had a d&c and ovulated 4 weeks after. my mate just recently had a d&c and had AF exactly 4 weeks after. So yes- ovulation is possible.i had a very healthy pregnancy straight after my D&C. good luck!!!

and good luck to all!!

louisesh · 15/12/2008 17:47

Hi SABS Thanks for your information.MY AF is now 3 days late but negative pg tests.Rung EPAU today and they informed me that its quite normal for your Af S can be out of synch for a while!!!! Had BD yesterday [so too soon to see from that] and before that a week ago but as i say pg tests showed negative today.

My 2nd AF has now been 31 days since the first one...... Either want pos test or AF!!!! URH.... It s soo frustrating!!!!

Hi to everyone!!!!

How long does it take for a pg test to show as positive following BD??

Sabs1981 · 15/12/2008 20:34

welcome LittleRascal, thanks for joining us...and good luck, hope we have another BFP on here real soon!

hey louisesh hope its a BFP for you too and not AF!

How was everyone's Monday? Well I had a nice time in Pizza Express - had a 4 course meal and then straight to body conditioning. Hope to fit in 2 more classes before india..body's aching but I guess thats a good thing..going to watch the final of America's next top model whilst staying logged on to MN

Hello all!
Not much news here DH still away and OPK sticks(first time I've used the) are showing double lines so thats not very handy! So I'd say when he gets home either tonight or thursday our chances this month are out the window! Not very positive...
Louisesh Thinking of you and keeping fingers crossed!
Sabs You must be getting excited now, India sounds like a lovely place!
Welcome LittleRascal, Notcitrus, Pecanpie and all other newbies wishing you lots of luck! Hope everyone has a good day!

louisesh · 17/12/2008 14:27

HiMRSDISORGANISED as above!!! Hope you re well.

Just thinking hoping SAUSAGEMCGRAP is ok and she checks in soon.

MY plans for xmas are not much kinda want it out of the way soo normal life can be resumed.Quiet xmas at home with lots of BD then seeing the family over new year.Working inbetween.

Sabs1981 · 17/12/2008 20:48

misdisorganised have bought some OPK stick when it was BOGOF in boots and planning to use them in the new year. Will come to you for advice on how it all works! Any luck tonight?? Yes looking forward to India more and more, the closer it gets, but then panic about how totally unprepared i am!...

louisesh sorry to hear that AF got you, but good to hear you're OK with it. I'm due on Monday...here's wishing that this is the last time AF visits us for the next months....

Was very lazy tonight about cooking, had a very busy day at work, so got takeout, but it looks like i shouldnt be getting made redundant in april, which is very good news, but half of my team may be, so lots of changes expected in the next few months. Planning to go back to body conditioning again tomorrow. After that, only 1 more class...Am thinking whether I should go when I am in my 2ww or not in the future. Any thoughts?

Curlywurlee · 17/12/2008 22:06

Hey Sabs, I've finally followed you here! Had visit from AF last week so although we won't be TTC till New Year, it will be nice to start thinking about it.

I heard that Sausage is pregnant - it's fantastic news. And blue too! Have there been any more success stories so far or is everyone waiting till new year?

Sabs1981 · 17/12/2008 22:12

hey curlywurlee welcome! nice to see you on here...will be good to have people to compare notes with, share moans and groans and hopefully BFP's!

Even though I get sad about my lost angel, i try to think to the future and get excited about that too...

OP posts:
Curlywurlee · 17/12/2008 22:23

I know Sabs. It's hard not to think of our little ones. But next year will be a good one, and I get so excited thinking of us all being up the duff and leaving this crap year behind.

Having said that, DH is not really talking to me at the moment (he's very annoying ) so I may have to revise my plans!
