hope you sort things out with DH curly. Men generally can be quite annoying, but we do need them!

But otherwise, yes, bring on 2009! Hopefully all things going well, we will be mums this time next year! (how do you like my positive thinking???)

I like it!!

How is your nan doing? Did she enjoy Eid?

Sabs1981 · 17/12/2008 22:45

She came home a couple of days before Eid so was at home with the whole family. She had a great time, everyone said she was acting really hyper, lol! I unfortunately couldnt make it up north, but my mum, brother, sister and some other family members went up so they had a full house. She had to go back in hospital for a couple of days after eid, maybe all the activity and excitment got to her, bless her. She's at home again, but still not eating properly. She has carers coming over twice a day to help her out.

So curly whats your plans over xmas and new year? apart from BD of course!

I'm heading home to the family on Sunday night. I can't wait to catch up with everyone and then we are back in the UK for New Year - We've hired a cottage with friends so it should be nice and chilled. Not as fab as going to India though!!

Anyway, I best get to bed and try and make up with DH. Not sure I want to yet though

'Night hun. Talk soon. And a big wave to all the lovely ladies on this thread that I haven't met yet

4everhopeful · 18/12/2008 09:43

Hello Sabs! You've enticed me over from Emmsys, I saw your link yesterday so I'm braving it! Its nice to see how many Emmsys angels are on here already! Technically I've been ttc eversince my last mc, however that was actually in July (although needed a 2nd erpc for it at end of August so feels like it was only really over then).

I think as it was my 3rd mmc in 10 months and the last one was pretty traumatic as it went on so long, that I wasnt ready to leave Emmsys, also was waiting for all the tests which showed no cause! Still felt pretty vulnerable. I would of been due next month, and yesterday saw my friend and her 8 month baby that came the same time as my 1st was due, so was a bit hard. However I've been ttc eversince really, but in some ways only halfheartedly, as possibly a bit scared at the whole prospect again! So this is the first month I've really really wanted it and tried hard if I'm honest. I think I prefer the idea of starting afresh next year although, a bit of deja vu as I found out I was preg last Jan too .

Anyway, thats my therapeutic intro to this post that sabs has started! Next time I'll be talking temperatures, dates, positions and tests like the rest of you!

Good luck everyone! xxxxxxxxxx

Yes SABS i ll echo your thoughts bring on 2009 it s got to be a bettter year!!![couldn t be any worse!!]

Curlywurlee · 20/12/2008 20:37

Hello louisesh, sabs, 4ever and everyone. Fingers crossed for all us on conceiving in 2009 - or sooner louisesh

I saw the consultant yesterday and we've been told to wait for initial test results so it will be January at the earliest but I'm ok with that. I think me and DH need to get back to a bit or normality and remember we are less than a year married and should be enjoying the honeymoon period! God, I feel like I've aged ten years recently, not so much of the sex goddess these days!

When are you heading off to India Sabs. I bet you can't wait.

4ever you have had such a rough year, I am hoping you'll have good news soon. It's only natural to be worried. So are you on the 2ww then?

Sabs1981 · 21/12/2008 00:47

Hello ladies...hope everyone is well and your weekend is going well..Has everyone finished their xmas shopping???

curly where's home? Your plans for the holiday period sounds good. Have you made up with DH yet?

4everhopeful yay, you've joined too. Lovely to see you here! Sending you babydust to store until next month...really hope 2009 is the year for you...

louisesh has your AF finished?

Im going to India on thursday - xmas day. Flight is at 10pm in the evening and won't get to our home town till friday night/sat morn, so have a lot of travelling ahead of us. Back to London on on eve of 10th Jan.

Today was spent packing, still not finished! Started my usual of making lists of what i still need to buy/what i can take as hand luggage/whats left to pack etc etc. Also spent the day arguing and then not talking to DH - i've been getting very bad PMT after mc.

Well the day has finally arrived. After 3 month, my third AF, after which we can start ttc conveive again. I normally have my period for 6 days, so my time in India is very critical! Like I said, I hope I come back from India with more than just a suntan - a stickie bean too!

Dont think anyone is around at this time of the night on MN! hope to catch up with you all tomorrow, only have a few days left of MN....

sausagemcgrah · 22/12/2008 12:10

Hi everyone,

Sorry I've not posted. it's been a long week. I've had lots of bleeding but had to wait until today for a scan. I've had another missed miscarriage unfortunately (7 weeks now) and have now got to decide where to go from here. I can be fitted in for a ERPC tomorrow, but am petrified about it, or can wait and have medical management some time between christmas and new year (ruining all our plans as we were going away.) Has anyone on here had an ERPC? is it okay?

Sausagex

Sabs1981 · 22/12/2008 12:34

I just dont like the taste of grapefruit juice, its so sour-tasting....maybe if i put some sugar in it, lol!

Hope everyone is having a good evening

Can anyone let me know on why its important to take your temperature when ttc??

OP posts:
theboob · 23/12/2008 10:22

ok i did this at college last year

when you ovulate your temperature will increase by a few degrees to the normal body temp of 37

hope this helps you x

louisesh · 23/12/2008 13:18

Hi ALL hope everyone is well....SABS why is grapefruit juice good for you is what i meant????

Hope all having a good day... I m working to 8 then brave food shopping!!!! Just running an "emergency" only service tomorrow a. m so shoild finish work by midday then more shopping!!!!!Off out tomorrow night for a few drinks and restart the process of BD XMAS BD!!!!!

Sabs1981 · 23/12/2008 20:09

louisesh apparently drinking grapefruit juice helps conception. Something about helping the cervical mucus and helping the sperm travel... Will try anything but need to try to learn to like it first. Maybe I need to try another brand. Have fun 2mrw night

theboob thanks for the temp advice. So how many times a day do you take your temperature? When is the best time of the day? I read its best to take it in the morning before gettin out of bed...

well it was my last day at work today. yay! dont need to go back until 26th jan, so in over a months time! Really need to finish packing but feeling so tired and DH bought the dark knight so wants to watch that...going to spend tomorrow running a few errands...maybe i can finish packing then???

How was everyones day? Not long for xmas...

OP posts:
LittleRascal · 23/12/2008 20:16

hi all. havent posted for a while, but still hoping!had a few bfn but still no AF. may have seen a faint line today but think my eyes are playing tricks so am testing with 2 other brands tomorrow

Sorry to hear that sausage. I had a mmc at 10 weeks with my first pregnancy and had the choice of natural or erpc so went for the erpc (the next day they were able to squeeze me in). it was quick, painless, and i felt a relief I didnt have to go thru the waiting for nature to take its course. just get chick flicks and a hot water bottle, maybe a bottle of wine and choccies. Bled for a few days, slight period pain but nothing else.
(I concieved ds 4 weeks later luckily enough- apparently you are quite fertile afterwards!) . good luck. thhinking of you
