Hi ladies, I'm due to test on the 25th October and would love company on the last 7 days to testing. It would also be lovely if we could all support each other and check/contrast symptoms during the latter 2ww stretch.

I reckon this might actually be my month this time as I have heard once you actively take control of your situation and make an appointment to do something about it, sods law is you don't need the help...Well here's hoping as my appointment is on Wednesday with ARGC to hopefully start IUI. While we may actually have to pay for the initial consultation, as I doubt I will get a positive this early in my cycle, here's hoping we won't need the help.

To date I have had a massive temp dip and rise on cd9/10. It feels as if my period is about to start and have had a bout of gas . Other than this am really hopefull as we managed to bd loads on the run up to ov .

Aw wishing Hope your thyroid is ok but even if it isn't, it is easily rectified with medication. I do believe though that my underactive thyroid stopped my ovulation and made me infertile for a while. Hopefully the gp will have asked for your iron levels to be checked too.

Wishing · 31/10/2008 19:07

thanks ladylush, i dont think there is anything wrong with my thyroid?? i dont no why he suddenly thinks there is, he seemed to want to skim over the fact i think im pg! even taking bloods was a nightmare, nurse was so nice but they couldnt find a vein and took ages!! they did take blood in 3 containers nurse said one was for hormones, one was for iron and they other was thyroid and everything else!!

all i can do it wait and wait and wait!!

ILickYourSlimySleeves · 31/10/2008 21:49

Oh Wishing what a nightmare wait you are having! How frustrating that you are getting BFN's but no AF yet, I do hope your blood results can shed some light on things for you then you can know what's what.

Wishing · 31/10/2008 21:53

thanks sleeves how are you?? not heard from you in a while xx

ILickYourSlimySleeves · 31/10/2008 22:07

Hey you, nice to hear from you! I'm good, all the worry re AF etc seems a long time ago now for me as she is on her way out the door again. I can't believe you are still hanging on and still no AF! You must be going out your mind!

It's been a nice week, DS turned one on Tuesday so we were busy with that. I'm going back to work next week after being off for more than a year so my minds been on that mainly ARGH!

So what did the doc say about your thyroid? Why do they think that's the problem? x

Wishing · 31/10/2008 22:17

oh bet that was a nice time for you your sons 1st brithday i mean!! - ive been off work all week and thats the furthest thing from my mind at the minute! i have had a really tough week but i am coming out the other side, still would love an answer one way of the other though!! im residing the fact im gonna have to just wait!! are you gonna be trying again this month or thought anymore about your other option??

nicve to chat to you again! xxx

ILickYourSlimySleeves · 31/10/2008 22:26

We will TTC anyway as in just enjoy it at the right times of the month but i do think that the FET is the way we will have to go. I am going to try to wean DS off breastfeeding in say a months time (to give him time to get used to me being back at work) so I can get my cycle back to normal then we will aim for FET at the start of 2009 I think. I feel a bit torn though as I do love feeding him and don't really want to stop yet.

I will need to get all healthy again too and may restart acupuncture as I did this at my previous IVF and I really think it helped. Lots to think about!

Wishing · 31/10/2008 22:32

you sound really positive, thats great!! Good luck for this month, you still have a chance of concieving naturally!! loads of people do it!!

ive done nothing all week, except post on herE!! i normally hwork 2 jobs and dont spend much time just sitting, ive hardly got out of me jimjams! and watched sex in the city from series one to the movie - its been good but im actually thinking im afraid to go back to normal now till i know!!

Wishing · 31/10/2008 22:46

xx

ILickYourSlimySleeves · 31/10/2008 22:47

that's seriously odd then why you keep getting bfns but no AF!

Wishing · 31/10/2008 22:52

wish i knew!! bin googling it and its not uncommon! doc did say that ttc means you do tend to test early and 50% of women arent actively ttc so they dnt actually test to 6/8 weeks anyway - but so many on here seem to get bfps!! i know a few ladies at work who didnt get early bfp and quite a few on preg thread have responded to a post i put on there, one of them was telling me she didnt get a bfp until week 12!! a few were weeks 6/7 so i am still hopeful!! definatley thought i was last night! ws so shocked this morning when it was negative!?!?!?

i no there is still a chance but it seems to be slipping further away!!

Wishing · 31/10/2008 23:00

im off to bed sleeves, hope to catch up with you again soon xxxxxx take care and happy bding!!

ILickYourSlimySleeves · 31/10/2008 23:01

I hope you get through tomo OK and get better news on Monday Sometimes the internet makes things better and also worse with all the googling doesn't it!

Issy42 · 31/10/2008 23:06

Hi Wishing and Sleeves. Been keeping an eye on the threads even though been quieter recently. Sorry to hear about your appointment Wishing, could you see another doctor at your surgery?

My doctor was really supportive when I went to see him about the options I had and referred me to the hospital straight away before I'd even really had chance to make up my mind about going ahead with things. (The whole process took so long I had plenty of time afterwards to confirm it was what I wanted to do). However, when I went to see him when I was pregnant his attitude was that I had gone too early and to 'see what happens in the next 4 weeks' and then contact the midwife. When I was back in his office a week later having miscarried it was like he wondered why I'd gone to see him and I was only following the instructions of the emergency doctor I'd spoken with on the phone at the weekend. But the best bit of medical advice I had during the mc (which started on Good Friday, so no doctors' surgery until the next Tuesday) was from NHS direct who told me to call them back if I started bleeding uncontrollably! I think 999 would have been called by that point.

At my clinic they do a vaginal ultrasound scan in 7th week to confirm the pregnancy. If you haven't got any answers by then maybe you could investigate that option - even if you have to pay it may be worth it to put your mind at rest.

ladylush · 01/11/2008 09:38

Wishing - it is very common for menstrual cycle to be out of kilter after m/c. Some women find it takes a few months before their cycle gets back to normal. Though of course you could still be pg If you find you are not, you could try reflexology. I found it very helpful after my last m/c. Unlike previous m/c my cycle was back to normal straight away.

Wishing · 01/11/2008 15:12

well i woke up today happier than i have all week and when i went to loo i hd a brownish discharge again when i wipe, no pain no cramps and doesnt feel like af but there is definatley some bleeding - i have been knicker checking like made since and it has now turned more red and blood like but only when i wipe?? its not actually getting into my knickers, its only when i wipe??

still no pains!?!?!?! OR CRAMPS??!?!?! Normally when i get af i get relly bad cramps an hour before and then full flow, no messing and it last 3 days - this is so wierd and i cant take much more - what is going on!! tears are the only thing thats actually flowing!!

ladylush · 01/11/2008 19:22

oh sorry wishing It could be your period but just different because of your recent m/c. Thyroid problems can cause havoc with menstrual cycle (and bleeding - lots of brown bleeding) so will be good to get that ruled out. By the way, when you get your results ask for the TSH level and the T4 because they might tell you they are normal but they could be just out of range yet really affect your fertility - and your general health.

Wishing · 02/11/2008 00:36

thanks lady lush, think it has come to an end this month!! just have to wait and see what blood results show! sort anything that needs to be sorted and move on!! ive had some tears but coping resonably well!!

xxxxxx

ILickYourSlimySleeves · 02/11/2008 12:39

How are you today Wishing? x

Wishing · 02/11/2008 23:05

well af has definately arrived sleeves! just got to see form blood tests if anything else is going on?? this period has been so bad really really painful!! it even woke me up in the night, was close to calling 999, i have never had pain like it! it has thankfully subsided a LOT! had a large glass of wine to night though which has helped numb any remaining pain! dh took me out for a nice meal to try and cheer me up and we now feel ready t draw a line under all of this and start a fresh!

hope you ok sleeves, im going to join aug thread now but will keep an eye on here so we can keep in touch! take care and thanks for thinking of me!

xxxxxxxx

ladylush · 03/11/2008 17:23

Oh sorry wishing Mind you, your dp seems very attentive so I'm sure he is taking good care of you. Plus you both have the right attitude to draw a line under it and start again.
