Hi ladies, I'm due to test on the 25th October and would love company on the last 7 days to testing. It would also be lovely if we could all support each other and check/contrast symptoms during the latter 2ww stretch.

I reckon this might actually be my month this time as I have heard once you actively take control of your situation and make an appointment to do something about it, sods law is you don't need the help...Well here's hoping as my appointment is on Wednesday with ARGC to hopefully start IUI. While we may actually have to pay for the initial consultation, as I doubt I will get a positive this early in my cycle, here's hoping we won't need the help.

To date I have had a massive temp dip and rise on cd9/10. It feels as if my period is about to start and have had a bout of gas . Other than this am really hopefull as we managed to bd loads on the run up to ov .

Iaay - the general rule is full flow before noon, so day 2 won't be til monday. It doesn't make a huge amount of difference to be honest, but if it was me I'd wait til monday.

Wishing, at 14-16 days it's too late for implantation - implantation for healthy pregnancies (those which end up in take home babies) is most likely on days 6-10 post ovulation. However, you spotting is common in early pregnancy so it could still be ok. Honestly if you don't get a positive test having taken more than one brand on day 14, you are most likely not pregnant, although I'm sur someone will be over to tell me about their pregnancy which didn't show up til day 18 later (and then I'll ask them how sure they are of which day they ovulated...)

Still hoping for everyone, not so hopeful for myself.

Wishing · 25/10/2008 23:47

thanks thaliblogs but i have searched and it can happen late on and about 10% of women who then go on to have healthy babies.........i am thinking i may have ovulated a few days later though as now experiencing many more syptoms, not tested again yet but still no af so thinking about testing tomorrow!

i do no a few people that havent had a hpt test show +ive till 7/8 weeks it had to be conf with a blood test and also a lot of blogs on net about it so i will just have to wait and see. who knows but it aint over till its over eh sleeves!! googling everything is not always a good idea i know but its so easy to do!!

i will be hopeful for you too i have a lot to go around and nothing much else to do til me af arrives/doesnt arrive of thast bfn / bfp !!

love to allxxxxxx

Issy42 · 25/10/2008 23:56

Thanks thalia, that ties in with what I was told originally. Been googling and consensus was just second day of full flow - no mention of start before times. Have just realised that starting Monday means treatment at weekend again (which means likely to get treated one day too early) and AF very heavy this evening, so on balance think will go with starting tomorrow night even though I agree with you that Monday is technically day 2 for clomid purposes.

Issy42 · 26/10/2008 00:00

Wishing - our writing overlapped - good luck with the test tomorrow. And good luck to you too thalia.

Wishing · 26/10/2008 00:06

thanks issy!! i will keep posted but think i might change my mind again!!

xxxx

ladylush · 26/10/2008 00:23

I am going to test when I wake up!

Wishing · 26/10/2008 09:39

bfn with tesco own! aarrghhh!! stil no af!

ladylush · 26/10/2008 10:00

When was your period due wishing? Sorry you got bfn A horrible feeling I know only too well.

However............this morning I tested and can't believe I got a BFP I mean, I did feel pg but the mind does play nasty tricks. Anyway, though pleased, I am being cautious in my celebrations as this is my 5th pregnancy and I only have 1 dc. Early days - especially as period not due for another 2 days. Clearblue estimates conception 1-2 weeks ago, which would be accurate.

Wishing · 26/10/2008 10:02

ive just worked out - that based on my last cycle which was 1st time 34 days long, if its the same this month i wouldnt actually be due until tuesday so could in fact be testing early?? i presumed that last cycle was longer dfue to early mc the month before but maybe its still a bit weird?? DH and i carried on bding so if my cycle has jumped to another 34 day cycle im still in with a chance - just!!

ladylush · 26/10/2008 10:04

Aha, so still a good chance then wishing

Wishing · 26/10/2008 10:05

and that would fit in with the bit of brownish red sludge i had on friday as been impantation spotting at about 9/10 days past ovulation, and tescos own unlikely to detect so early on!!

i could just be looking for any hope possible i know but what else dfo i have right now??? something doesnt feel very right!!

ladylush · 26/10/2008 10:07

I haven't had any spotting, but I didn't have implantation bleed with ds

ladylush · 26/10/2008 10:12

Think I will wait for a while before joining antenatal thread. Think it might be bad luck.

Wishing · 26/10/2008 10:20

thanks lady lush - think i might be just clutching at straws!! thank you for your info, i was crossing posts with you!! i have a clearblue, not had a drink yet so dont know whether to test now or wait till tomorrow as that could be a day before af is due?? i dont have a digital - how senstive are cb i cant seem to find it on the pack?? the tesco one was 25mul.

try not to worry lady lush, im sure you will be fine and have a really sticky bean!! i have everything crossed for you just try to enjoy it!!

xxxxxxx

ladylush · 26/10/2008 10:27

Thanks I don't know how sensitive. If you look on the peeonastick website there is some info on sensitivity. As you know, I tested Fri and it was negative (4 days early). The closer to your period date the more reliable the result. I heard clearblue are better for early testing but don't know how true this is. The one I used on Friday was a Superdrug one.

ladylush · 26/10/2008 10:28

Oh and I always use first morning urine when testing early.

Wishing · 26/10/2008 10:38

thanks ladylush!! i think i will hang on till the morning!! it will be better all round - im so pleased you got your bfp and you have given me hope!! hope your luck rubs off on me!

xxxxx take carexxx

ladylush · 26/10/2008 10:58

Yes here's hoping

arena · 26/10/2008 11:07

Hi ladies i used a clearblue digital 4 days eary and got a bfn, then i waited till i missed my period and got a bfp with a test from pound savers.

And to confirm it i brough another one from tesco's, and got a bfp. So i say best to wait if you can until you have missed your period.

Good luck ladies.

Issy42 · 26/10/2008 16:02

Congrats on your BFP ladylush. Here's hoping it's a sticky one. Sorry to hear about mcs.

Sorry about your BFN wishing , must be really frustrating for you. Clearblue non-digitals are 25 mIU. The digital ones claim to detect more pregnancies early, so presume they are a bit more sensitive. It's on their website, but I couldn't find it last time I googled - you just get a load of sites selling them coming up. Sorry to hear about your mc. I used to have 35 day ish cycles before my mc, but since they have been 26-28 so it can change your cycle length.

Arena not sure if you are talking recent or not but congrats on your bfp if you are.

ILickYourSlimySleeves · 26/10/2008 20:19

Congrats on your BFP Ladylush! Great news

Sorry to see that AF is still messing you about Wishing. I do hope you are just testing too early and you still have a chance!

ladylush · 26/10/2008 20:31

Very Had some spotting. Just feel deep down that it is not good news

RipMacWinkle · 26/10/2008 20:37

Have everything crossed for you ladylush. Hang in there. Hope your wee bean is a sticky one.

ladylush · 26/10/2008 20:52

Thanks Rip. Hoping it might be implantation bleed.

Wishing · 26/10/2008 20:52

oh try not to worry lady lush, spotting isnt always a bad sign! how do you feel, how you doing now??

thanks izzy - is there any point doing it then, surly the cb test is just the same as the tesco one??

im not feeling i am now, im so irritable right now!!
