Hi ladies, I'm due to test on the 25th October and would love company on the last 7 days to testing. It would also be lovely if we could all support each other and check/contrast symptoms during the latter 2ww stretch.

I reckon this might actually be my month this time as I have heard once you actively take control of your situation and make an appointment to do something about it, sods law is you don't need the help...Well here's hoping as my appointment is on Wednesday with ARGC to hopefully start IUI. While we may actually have to pay for the initial consultation, as I doubt I will get a positive this early in my cycle, here's hoping we won't need the help.

To date I have had a massive temp dip and rise on cd9/10. It feels as if my period is about to start and have had a bout of gas . Other than this am really hopefull as we managed to bd loads on the run up to ov .

My AF is due on 25th and am really hoping I am PG, been feeling different this month but might just be imagining that I am?

Felt really stressed this morning (poss PMT syptoms) so maybe I am not PG but will be testing this weekend if AF does not appear.

Here's hoping x

Wishing · 21/10/2008 13:17

Hi ladies, glad to see more joining

aideesmum welcome and heres also hoping the witch stays away from you this month also.

Wishing Fair play to you and well done for waiting. Your doing soooo very well. Am like a proud mother...ehehehehehe.... iykwim.

IlickYourSlimySleeves It all sounds so very promising. Are you planning on testing today or will you wait until tomorrow?

Me, well, on CD28 and nothing. FF has this new thing on it 'early pregnancy signs' predictor that seems to think based on the symptoms I have had todate that I have a 66% chance of being pregnant right now. Now sure I believe it though. With both pregnancy I have had (one resulting in a DS and the other a m/c earlier this year), I was extremely tried before my AF due date. Currently feeling no such symptom so not convinced AF won't turn up.

Will be testing early tomorrow anyway as a result of an appointment I have with a fertility clinic tomorrow so wish me luck on both, and I hope to hear from you IlickYourSlimySleeves soon.

All the best ladies over the next few days. Two days down, five to go .

Hiya all!

Well still no AF for me but on and off cramping all day. I have been knicker checking like there is no tomorrow! I have been fantasising about a BFP all day but I know deep down that it won't happen this time I am due to go back to work in 2 weeks time and maybe I am just hoping I am PG too so I don't need to go back for that long!

Good luck tomorrow Waiting, remember to ask about their success rates and protocols for both IUI and IVF / ICSI and how quickly you can start. Have you had any tests done so far?

Good luck Aideesmum, not long til you can test! Any more symptoms today?

Wishing, what you thinking now? Testing tomorrow or Thursday? I am going into town tomorrow so if AF still isn't here I will def buy a test or five.

Arrggggghhhhhhhhhh I hate not knowing but I love it too as I get to at least fantasise that I really could be

Wishing · 21/10/2008 19:06

thanks waiting - that spurs me on and idkwym and it has helped!! thank you - so moving on to your question im back to waiting sleeves! i did get the test out of the car but going to leave it downstairs cos i know i wont want to come downstairs for it the morning either so hopefully im hanging on!! i really dont know what i want to do- deep down im frightend if it is bfn that i wil start to stress and worry and cause myself more upset and then if i am cause an earmy mc which i have done before and if im not just delay my period and cause myself even more upset which im sure ive done before!! like you say sleeves its hard waiting but its sort of easier to cope with by not repeatedly testing if that makes sense?? cos you still hoping deep down that you are and somehow makes me a bit happier and chilled!

well no afs as yet is a fantastic sign!! so everyting to play for - hope you have another af free night sleeves and waiting hope you get your bfp before your appointment - hope that all goes ok, keep in touch!

any more symptoms aideesmum??

mine to date are;
tender heavy boobs, i wouldnt say sore!
TMI im sorry but lot of cm
tierd
headaches
few mild cramps
hungry
still bit of thrush - again sorry if tmi
and increase in wanting to wee!

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

ILickYourSlimySleeves · 21/10/2008 20:11

Hey Wishing, good for you for holding out, no doubt it will be another freezing morning tomorrow and that will make you stay upstairs in bed with no testing!

I still have no symptoms really. No cramps just now, was peeing a bit more but think that was just an excuse to knicker check again I don't feel tired at all and I was sooooo knackered from the word go when I was PG with DS. Actually the opposite has happened, I've done loads today and been quite active, raked all the garden leaves up and did a food shop, also did lots of little tasks that have been on my to do list for ages- do you think that's a sign??!! LOL!

Oh and I have noticed some 'signs' that it's still looking good for me, I was just washing the dishes there and my ipod was on shuffle- the songs were one by Pink Floyd with the opening line 'Mama loves you babeeeee' then Lenny Kravitz with 'It ain't over til it's over' which I always listened to when I was having IVF (when I conceived DS), superstitous or what???

Wishing · 21/10/2008 20:26

there all signs!! slimy sleeves!! keep em coming if definatly aint over til its ova!! thats a fab motto!! dont they say that your pregnancys can be total opposites?? Especially with different sexes! ive just been think im not as tierd as i was a few months ago when i had an early mc but i didnt wee a lot more then or have as much cm, oh and i wasnt hungry - i have been crazily hungry over last few days!! could that be a sign - i thought it was a myth??

ive talked myself out of testing tomorrow - at the mintue im wanting to hold out until friday, then i would be late!! i do feel so much better from not repeatedly testing - id tested about 5/6 times at this point over last few months. dh is starting to talk about possiblity of a bfp and testing - lets hope this is our month!! xxxxxxxxx

ladylush · 21/10/2008 20:29

Hi I am tentatively rejoining ttc threads. Only on CD22 but have been feeling pre-menstrual for past 5 days. Not moody - bloated, cramps and tingly, heavy feeling in boobs. If period comes, I do hope I don't get PMS like this every month

Wishing · 21/10/2008 20:37

welcome ladylush! sorry to hear your feeling that way , hope you feel better soon!

ILickYourSlimySleeves · 21/10/2008 20:50

Thanks Wishing! Oooooo wouldn't it be great if we get BFPs? I would so dearly love another baby, I hope that doesn't sound selfish but my DS is just so wonderful that we'd love to have lots more around! I keep thinking of those mad stories you hear about people TTC for so long, having IVF then getting PG naturally after that.

Yes all pregnancies can be totally different so hopefully my raking leaves frenzy is a good sign. Hunger is a great sign too Wishing, I had major cravings for salt and vinegar crisps last time, couldn't get enough! Try to hold off til Friday, come on here for us to tell you not to pee on that stick!

Welcome Ladylush too, I hope you are lucky this month too

Wishing · 21/10/2008 21:07

it would be great!! bring on the bfps!! oh well hunger is definate a sign i have then - im starved!! no cravings though??!!

No its not at all selfish slimy sleeves - its perfectly natural!! how old is ds?? sounds like he is just the right age to have a sibling!! i dont have any but i ds has a dd from prev relationship and she has just been to stay which always makes me particualry broody - i love the feeling of when the shout your name, im ready to hear mum!!

im not peeing on that stick just yet (but i hope there are 2 lines - or the word pregnant cos i have a digital stashed away!!) - i like the feeling that i might be does that sound wierd??!! and i know if im not that i can log and get the support i need from mners - so all in all feeling good this month, but thats enough of the negative feelings!!

ILickYourSlimySleeves · 21/10/2008 21:17

Ds is actually 1 year old a week today, I can't believe how quickly he has grown! We'd like a smaller age gap between siblings if poss. If TTC naturally doesn't work then we are going to try a frozen embryo transfer maybe next spring / summer ish, hopefully that would work.

I hate those HPT's that say 'PG' or 'not PG' on them, a BFN seems so much worse when you have a stick of plastic confirming that it's all over that month.

How old is your DS's DD?

Wishing · 21/10/2008 21:32

she has just gone 12 but she is quite a young 12 - we have been together since she was younger, im 26 and dh hs just turned 40 - i know im biased but he really doesnt look it or act it!! and i cant belive how quickly she has grown nup its scary!! i want to look after someone from a baby though that i can call my own!!

12 months is a reasonable age gap - have you been ttc long??

i prefer testing with a hpt where a line developes dh bought this one and thought digital was better - he hates trying to analyse a test looking for a line!!

are you feeling better you have had no more bleeding?? i would hope feel like what you was implantation bleeding - you gonna test tomorrow??

xxx

ILickYourSlimySleeves · 21/10/2008 21:41

I can understand you want your own baby, babies are just so darn cute and it's great to see them develop. There's a big gap between me and DH too, I'm 32 and he's 42 (most folk think he's early 30's though!). We have been TTc for about 3 months now, but I am also still breastfeeding and part of me thinks that this being CD34 is due to my body still trying to sort itself out (?) as AF only came back 3 months ago.

Just been for another pee and still no AF, no cramps either. I don't have any tests at home so would need to get one in town. I'm meeting a pal for lunch but if AF still isn't here I won't know what to do! Test in a public loo? (don't fancy that tho) or wait til Thursday? What you think?

Wishing · 21/10/2008 21:54

im pretty desp now for a little bundle of cuteness!! i seem to be surrounded by pg ladies everywhere !!

i would get a test but wouldnt fancy testing in a public loo!! could you wait till thrusday?? fmu would be even better to test with 2?!?

im getting a few bad cramps at minute, hope it isnt all sliping away!!

ILickYourSlimySleeves · 21/10/2008 21:58

Don't really think cramps are a reliable sign either way as they can be there with a BFP & a BFN, though I start getting worried when I get them so I know how you feel. I am now scouring t'internet for stories of people conceiving naturally after IVF, soooo trying to convince myself I may have a chance .

Yes I won't pee in a public loo, but I will buy a test if she hasn't appeared by then.

Argghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

Wishing · 21/10/2008 22:26

it does happen doesnt it - i ve heard stories where people spend thousands and soon become pg naturally after an ivf baby - its like it wakes everything up on the inside!! i know a few people who were told they would nver be able to have children and now do! i dont think you can rule out anything sleevesw and i will save some wishes for you tonight!! the internet will have stories that make you fell good and onces that dont so try not to get too hooked on it - it sooooooooo hard though, erm the words kettle pot and black spring to mind, how many times have i posted on this site today?!?! and scoured the net for symptoms i may have missed!!

glad you arent going to teswt in a public loo - keep in touch though and fingers crossed that af stays away! away! away!

im off to bed now, hopefully sleep will pass the time quicker - being at work and pondering certainly doesnt! try sleep tite sleeves and happy dreams of bfps!!

xxxx

Waiting2Exhale · 22/10/2008 09:02

ILickYourSlimySleeves · 22/10/2008 09:17

OMG Waiting! Huge congratulations! And great that you now don't need to go to the ARGC, yippeeee more pennies for baby clothes! Can I ask, what symptoms did you have / are you having?

I have survived another night without AF but I was thinking about it so much that I couldn't get to sleep til 3am ARGH so I'm pretty tired this morning. I was starving during the night too, almost came downstairs for something to eat but didn't.

I'm about to go out for the day now so wish me luck that AF stays well away, I will buy a test if she doesn't arrive.

Congrats again Waiting!

How is everyone else doing? x

Waiting2Exhale · 22/10/2008 09:40

Hi ILickYourSlimySleeves to be honest...this has not been like my over two pregnancies (one being a m/c) so it is true that symptoms don't always have to be the same...

Symptoms this time round have been:

  1. Alittle constipated
  2. Frequent urination the last few days
  3. Cramps around an implantation dip (9DPO)
  4. Very gassy
  5. A little bit of heartburn and one day of nausea.

Nothing like the other times when I couldn't drink tea, coffee or juices, and majorly tired before even knowing I was pregnant. Who knows it might be a girl this time

All the best for you...your symptoms do sound promising....xx

Wishing · 22/10/2008 13:03

hey waiting that is absolutely fantastic news!! im so pleased for you!! CONGRATULATIONS!!

I am afraid i gave into temptation after been up most of the night too - just being generally uncomfortable and craked out the hpt!! - i peed and i am now disappionted!! bfn!! it was awful the words "not pregnant" staring up at me! aarrgghh!! i know it isnt hundred percent as i have tested early = test advised it has a 95% chance of being correct but i cant help feeling that this isnt my month now! and im gutted, trying so hard to remain positive, but i will admit i have had some tears.

hope af is still a no show sleeves, im sure i can feel my witch is on the way to get me now!

but like we said sleeves, it aint over till its over!

congrats again waiting - hope you its the start of things to come, you startd this thread so hope your lucky for the rest o us too !! xxxxxxxx

Caitni · 22/10/2008 13:35

Hi ladies,
I've lurked on this thread, as AF due next Monday so planning on testing Tuesday if nothing shows up.

Just wanted to say a HUGE CONGRATS to Wait2Exhale - absolutely fab news, am delighted you had to skip your appointment with the ARGC. Here's to a happy and healthy nine months!

ILickYourSlimySleeves · 22/10/2008 16:16

Oh no Wishing, that's awful news that you got a BFN, I do hope though it's because you have tested too early, how many DPO are you just now? ((((((Big hugs)))))))) to you hon, I know how you must be feeling though. Just keep that image of Lenny Kravitz in your mind and hopefully it ain't over.

Still no show from AF for me, I am just back from town and I bought an HPT from Boots. However I feel fate is trying to tell me something cos when I went to buy it all the tills in whole shop crashed! I had to show a worker what I was buying so they could write the price on a piece of paper to put through the till manually- ARGH! I nearly left the shop without buying it. But I didn't and it's in my bag. I was dying for a pee on the way home as I've had loads to drink so had to run to the loo there and didn't test. Not sure what to do... test later or tomorrow morning? I am dreading in case it's a BFN though so holding out with the BFP fantasy in my head. DH doesn't even know what's going on as I told him the other day AF had started (when I thought it had) and I don't want him to get all excited over nothing. ARGH!

Hi to Caitni too, how are you feeling just now?

Waiting, have you come down from cloud 9 yet? Congrats again!

Pezzina · 22/10/2008 16:37

Hello all, I?ve been lurking a little while on this thread while at work (naughty me) and wanted to say hello to you all. I?m planning to test on 25th if AF hasn?t arrived by then. I thought all was lost this morning when I started spotting and as I had been cramping since yesterday assumed AF had come. BUT the spotting has stopped. The cramps are still here though. I?m just hoping and praying that AF doesn?t come and that the spotting is the little beans (I would love twins) settling in! Wishing everyone good luck!

ladylush · 22/10/2008 17:57

Many congrats Waiting - fantastic news Glad you have saved yourself some money too.

Thanks Wishing and slimy sleeves - hope it's your month too. Don't worry too much about results of early tests. Some women don't even get a positive until a few days after their period was due.

Driving myself mad symptom spotting. Since a week ago have had mild cramps, tingly, heavy breasts, fluttery feelings in my tummy and been weeing a lot. Also quite gassy - but that's nothing new Still, I don't usually get PMS quite that early. My period isn't due til next Tuesday so that would be 12 days of PMS.
