OP posts:
scully · 17/10/2008 10:24

Hope you're feeling a little better today Ei and managed to have a good night's sleep, it's all a bit crap isn't it. I'm feeling brighter today, must be because it's Friday evening here, and we have a busy, but fun Saturday planned.
I'm going here Sat afternoon with some ladies from work, can't wait
And before this, the family (plus a friend of dd1) is going to an family fun day work is putting on, a fun fair basically, the dd's will love it
& although it's only cd11, I have noticed some cm today, so emailed dh at work to book him in for later this evening, and the weekend. God help him if he is 'too tired'

MollieMooma · 17/10/2008 10:43

EI Hugs are coming your way, really hope you feel a little better today my lovely x
Kate Thanks for the post on HCG I feel much more informed and have decided to steer clear, also replied on avengers to you too x
Scully Good luck for later
Hello to everyone else

smeraldina · 17/10/2008 11:13

Just something that I have been meaning to ask whenever I see this thread (I hope it's ok to ask). Who is Emmsy?

Smeraldina x

SparklyPseudonym · 17/10/2008 14:31

Hello ladies,
Am feeling much better today - think it's because the weekend is here.
Have been organising some bits and bobs today for DD's 3rd birthday - I LOVE organising.
Was just wondering how long it took for AFs to return after m/c? Still no sign of mine...
smeraldina Emmsy is another one of the ladies who has just given birth.
Mollie How are you feeling lovely lady? Any further signs on AF lurking?
Scully Sounds like you have a fantastic weekend ahead. Give your DH a really hard kick up the bottom from all of us if he messes you around this weekend. Good luck.
Ei Was thinking about you a lot yday. Hope you're feeling a bit brighter today. How many DPO are you now? Tempted to start serial testting?
Teehee Wow, blind making!! You're so creative!!
HTGG How was yday? Sending you lots and lots of hugs.
Cricri You'll get fed up of me asking this - ANY more signs of your gorgeous girl making an appearance?

Have a lovely weekend ladies. xxxxx

OP posts:
mibbes · 17/10/2008 16:07

smeraldina Emmsy was first of a bunch of us to get BFP so she started up a wee waiting room thread where she could wait for the rest of us to join her - she had her baby last week and is the mother of the thread

Ei hope you are feeling better today hun - are you nearly at testing stage ...?

Sparkly glad to hear you are feeling chipper and revelling in the plarty planning

Kate you pup sounds adorable - pics ?

cricri any signs of movement on the baby front ?

I have been keeping away in case I got abuse for still not posting the bump pics I promised last wekeeknd (have been busy, honest !), I promise I'll take some and post them tonight. Talking of pics... EMMSY, WE NEED TO SEE YOUR WEE BUNDLE PLEASE !

MollieMooma · 17/10/2008 16:29

Mibbes Tut tut no pictures??

Wishing everyone a fabulous weekend

mibbes · 17/10/2008 21:12

OK bump pics from tonight now on FB

Mollie & Sparkly I really hope AF shows soon for you ladies so that you know where you are xx

cricri · 17/10/2008 21:27

Mibbes Lovely bump pics
Ei Hope you're feeling better after yesterday and that the bug you have really isn't the flu. (In case anybody wonders about this last comment me and Ei had a chat on FB this am!)
Sparkly Good to have you back! When is DDs birthday? In answer to your question, I think it took around 6 weeks for AF to come back when I had my mc. Hope she comes soon for you and Mollie
No news here yet but one of my NCT friends gave birth yesterday 2 and a half weeks early It's just starting to dawn on me that it could happen any time now! My doula is coming round tomorrow morning to run through things so that we're completely prepared.
Hope everybody has a lovely weekend

MollieMooma · 17/10/2008 21:57

Mibbes How neat and tidy is your bump even if I ever got there mine would never look that good Thanks for sharing
CriCri I don't know about you but I'm getting so excited for you! Not long to go

cricri · 18/10/2008 18:03

Another NCT friend had her baby today - also 2 weeks early Both of them were due the day after me! I'm going to be last at this rate... Oh well!
Appointment with the doula went really well - she's so lovely, enthusiastic and reassuring.
Just come back from traipsing round tile and bathroom showrooms choosing stuff for our new bathroom in our extension. Exhausting but I think we're getting somewhere now. I kept having to sit down whenever I could find a seat. I ended up sitting on display toilets a couple of times
Hope everybody else is OK - haven't seen Fruity around for a while, hope you're OK and have got over that horrible cold. Likewise Ei, hope you're not feeling too rough.

EisGotASeveredHeadinherHandbag · 18/10/2008 19:24

hi ladies
cricri i think what i have is just a bad cold rather than the flu as it seems to be shifting now
mibes il have to check fb for your pics
sparkly hope you are ok and you are giving yourself a break every now and again

mollie hope you are doing well
emmsy i hope you are being kept nice and pampered by your family and your lovely new DD is being a good girl for her mummy

SparklyPseudonym · 18/10/2008 21:14

Hi ladies,
A very quick one. We've been to Oakwood today with DD. It was great fun.
I had lots pains during the night and have had some dark spotting today so it looks like AF could be arriving - I don't have the usual AF symptoms though. We'll soon see.
Ei I'm going to have a lovely CB in you. xxx
Mollie Any AF for you?

Will catch up with everyone else tomorrow.

OP posts:
MollieMooma · 19/10/2008 08:17

CriCri Are you feeling under pressure Have you started nesting yet?
Sparkly Hope you had a fab time at Oakwood? I am hoping it is the start of AF for you so that you can move on a little
EI Sorry to hear your feeling crap hun, and that TEW looks like she is on her way! Do you take Vit B, isn't that supposed to lengthen your LP? Hope you feel better soon x
Scully Hope you are having a good weekend

Well still no sign of AF for me I thought she was on her way as I had (.)(.) but they have eased, also had increased CM but that has eased too, no other signs so far, just want her to come so I can draw a line under the whole awful experience but no when you want her she doesn't bloody show! As you can tell I'm getting rather p*ssed off now! I'm so desperate I even tried sex

Mollie waves to everyone else x

FruitynNutty · 19/10/2008 12:51

Hello everyone,
Sorry, haven't been in for ages. My laptop keeps getting hijacked by 11 year old SIL nd now DS is a "Techno wizard" he tends to jump on it when SIL off
They are now both transfixed by The Little Mermaid so I thought I'd grab my opportunity and get on the pooter for 5 mins.

FIL and DS are busy laying our delicious new laminate flooring. They did the living room yesterday and it looks mazing. Makes the room so much brighter and bigger I can't wait for the hall to be done now.

I went to The Baby Show yesterday which wasn't as good as it normally is. I normally come home armed with hundreds of bargains but there wasn't anything really.
I did manage to get myself a Babybond voucher worth £125 for £95 so I'm really pleased about that and really excited about the 4D scan I'm going to book it for when I'm 26 weeks which will be 13th December. DP wasn't too pleased as he wants it all to be surprise but he doesn't need to come does he, I bet he does though

I'm really pissed off with Startrite shoes. I always raved about them and have always loved them as I used to wear them as a child. Went to the Startrite stall where I expected loads of choice for DS. Hardly anything Mostly girls shoes (they must think boys don't need shoes ) Also a lot of choice for crawlers and 1st walkers.
I found a couple of styles but they only go up to an 8 1/2! DS is a 9 1/2. I said, "Well what are 3/4 year old supposed to wear on their feet then?" They said there isn't enough market for boys with this size and over. DS is only 3 years old FFS! They said he's got big feet for his age, I don't think so! All his friends have size 9 1/2 - 10 at 3/4 years old. They don't know what they're talking about - the morons
Anyway, I finally found these ones, they're not as green as they look. They should arrive on Tues. My poor boy is wearing these awful trainers at the moment that keep coming off his feet and are a size too small (I'm really snobby about trainers - only for sport please!)

Anyway, quite a productive day for me in the end. I'm now starting to feel movement from Button which is wonderfully reassuring. Got my 21 week scan in 3 weeks so I'll be able to tell you all Button's gender and will finally be able to stop calling him/her "it"

My cold is finally going - thanks everyone for asking Although I caught a bit of the tummy bug yesterday which seems to be rife . DS was throwing up all over his bed and in the meantime I was getting that horrible dizzy sweaty feeling at the same time. Luckily MIL was on hand to help as I had to keep rushing to the bathroom. Thank god I never actually threw up as I'm terrified of being sick. I ended up with the runs instead. I think it might have been Button head-butting my stomach all day which caused it rather than a bug as I'm fine today. DS still looks under the weather though

Anyway, must fly as we're off to my Mother's for lunch in a minute. I hope you're all well. I need to try and keep up with all the posts. I promise I'm not neglecting you all. There's just a lot of posts to read through. I will keep up from now on so I can join in with the conversation as always

Still no news from MummyEmmsy?

Love to you all xx

SparklyPseudonym · 19/10/2008 17:06

Hello ladies,
DP has gone to the rugby today so I've been shopping with DD and she's been thinking about what she would like for her bday (prob just easier to buy Toys R us)..we then went for a yummy japanese lunch .
AF is here today and very heavy so YES Ei we are CBs and I plan to take the next few months as you do. Really hope your AF shows up too Mollie.
Fruity I've never bought startrite shoes for DD. Not even sure there's a shop in Cardiff. Your scans will be here before you know it!! How long are the PILs staying for? Hope C is better soon.

Hello to everyone else.

OP posts:
FruitynNutty · 19/10/2008 18:54

Oooh I forgot Sparkly When's DD's birthday? is it November?
PIL's are staying until they find a place near by to rent. SIl is starting at DS's school tomorrow. She's so excited!
Just back from Mum's. FIL back to doing the floor. A bit worried about the noise for a Sunday evening - he's gotta cut the floor to fit - but it has to be done before the mindee's arrive tomorrow morning.
Just picked up my feeding pillow from my Mum's. It was a life saver for sleeping with my big bump last time. I'm starting to get uncomfortable now - still, can't complain!

HeyThereGhoulyGirl · 19/10/2008 19:02

Evening

Sorry for the radio silence. It's been a pig of a week. Found it harder than I thought getting thru my EDD. Really thought I'd be pg by now. The build is going really really badly. Won't bore you with the details, but we're 4 weeks behind on a schedule that's already 3 months behind. We've got an emergency site meeting on Mon as the architect found they had done something wrong with the basement foundations that would make it impossible for the stairs to fit. Am beyond angry. We've managed to cobble some money together to pay for a project manager. I feel like a bit of a failure as I really wanted to do it. But I'm so emotionally involved that I can't keep calm enough to deal with the constant set backs, delays, lies, unreturned phone calls etc.

We also went to see a private doc on Sat to get some first stage fertility tests done. I've got day 21 bloods, a lap and dye and a scan to go to and Gav's got to deliver his sample! Hopefully it'll all come back normal.

Upshot is that I'm so damn stressed with this building work going tits up that I'm not suprised I can't get pg. I was in tears on fri when we found out the builders had cocked up again.

Mollie Sorry that AF is giving you the run around. It must be really infuriating for you. I guess you just want things to go back to normal. Have you been to the docs or is that next week?

Ei So sorry to hear about your DH being made redundant. Are there any jobs in the pipeline? And on top of that you've just had your 'anniversary' to deal with. Did the duvet days help? I'm going to be the same as you this month. Am throwing everything in the bin and just shagging when I feel like it! I also want to have a few drinks over Xmas. I think we both deserve a cocktail or two!

Sparkly Prop first and last time I'll say this, but glad that AF got you. Did you have a nice shopping trip? Libs total nightmare to take shopping now. So hope your DD is much better behaved!

Kate Am I too late to add my vote for Mabel?! Is she here? Good luck with 2 doggies! Any news from your test results? The wait must be killing you. Fingers crossed you get good luck this week.

Cricri Any movements?

Mibbes Am v at your lovely bump.

Scully Did you have a nice weekend? And hope DH didn't let you down!

Fruity Hi love. Glad to hear that your cold is going. Although not so great about the tummy bug. Am getting excited for your 21 week scan. Am placing a bet on it being a girl.

Right, got to get two dirty girls in the bath and to bed before 8pm cos The Hills is on MTV at 8 and i need my fix!

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

LobstersLass · 19/10/2008 19:17

Hello ladies,

I've been avoiding the conception threads as they make me miserable but I've decided I need a kick up the arse and you're just the ladies to dish it out! You may remember that I had two miscarriages earlier this year, the last one in July.
Well, we decided to postpont TTC until the new year to let me get over it - more mentally than anything else. I still get very angry and frustrated.

Anyway I was supposed to be using this time to shift a stone and a half of weight. Instead I have managed to put on the best part of half a stone through drinking far too much red wine. Not good!

So come on, inspire me! Be as blunt as you like. Otherwise I will be entering the New Year weighing more than I did when I had my miscarriage and setting myself up for another fall.

xxx

teeheelaydee · 19/10/2008 20:06

Hi Ladies - oh I am being so rubbish at keeping up at the moment - don't know what is wrong with me. Like Fruity I will keep up more so that I can chat properly.

Georgie I just want to give you a big hug. Building is unsettling enough but I am gasping at the extra nightmares that your's seems to be creating. At least with a project manager you can just tell him what you want and he can do all the shouting if necessary. Don't beat yourself up about it - you've enough on just living there! Hope the tests are good news and the fact that you are being pro-active makes you feel better at least. I too have guilty TV secret - have been watching The OC on DVD recently - v/embarassing but I love it!!

Fruity Sounds like it is all go with you. Racing against the clock like an episode of Changing Rooms, hope it looks great. Dads and FIL's can be so handy when DIY needs doing don't you think! I can't believe I will be getting uncomfortable in just a couple of weeks.. I have still yet to but any maternity gear. Me thinks I am in denial.

Sparkly Once again you are galavanting and putting my boring weekend to shame and you already have a DD that is a lady that lunches - that is sooo adorable.

Ei Hope you are feeling a little brighter now. Another hug winging it's way up the M6 to you. I am so sure you are going to get there, try not to lose heart. Any news on the job front for DH?

Emmsy Any chance of any pictures yet - am dying to see Amy.

Kate Same goes to you for Mabel (I am just going to call her Mabel no matter what you decide as I love it!!) Is she here? Is she cute?

Mibbes I must be being a complete eejit - I can't find you bump photos on FB. Please help.

Cricri Is she here yet?

LobsterLass The fact that you have returned to the conception boards must be a good sign. Think of the Christmas outfits if the TTC stuff is too much pressure to lose weight. I always find it's a bit of a vicious circle the more grumpy I am about my weight the more I want to eat!!

Big waves to everyone else - you may here from me tomorrow or in another week (the way I'm going)

SparklyPseudonym · 19/10/2008 20:47

Evening lovely ladies,
Nice that it's getting a bit busier in here. have just got back from a quick, unexpected pint with my mate and DP has ordered a Dominos pizza . How classy am I!!
Kate I am sitting here feeling very of you playing with your pup and having her nibble your fingers etc. Have you chosen a name? Pics please (and lots of them!!).
Teehee [waves] Have you started the blind making? Did you have results from glucose test?
LL Haven't seen you around for a long time. Not sure if you remember me - I've always been sparkly(something). So Sorry about your 2 m/cs. I had one a few weeks a go at almost 11 weeks. Are you starting to feel any better? I'm not really in the position to offer any advice as I've been eating whatever I want since the m/c and drinking the best part of half a bottle of red a night . I'm hoping some of the other girls will be able to offer some useful advice though....
HTGG Am so sorry to 'hear' how shit you've been feeling. I've been totally useless this week but am hoping the start of a new week will mean the start of a new mood. DD was ok but touching everything as it was a toy shop. Shopping+kids=stress!
Fruity DDs birthday is a week today - am sad sad she's going to be 3.

OP posts:
scully · 20/10/2008 03:21

Had to comment on your wine consumption Sparkly, glad it's not just me I've been a bit lately, trying to skip 2 or 3 nights a week, did have 2 glasses of Moet last night though, yummy
HTGG, how crap are your builders I would be fuming and emotional as well, apart from having your anniversary as well. Hope you get some answers on everything soon.
Welcome back LL, know what you mean, I had to take a little break for a couple weeks earlier this month, at least with Xmas coming up, there are other things to focus on, & parties to attend
No probs Ei, I never remember everyone How is your dh's job hunting going? Things sounds worse in the UK and US than here, although that will change when our natural resources run out and we have nothing to see to China But because our Federal govt has a budget surplus, the Prime Minister announced every family is receiving $1k for each child you have, to try and boost spending in the lead up to Xmas Can't see much of ours getting spent, I think the bank account will be topped up, but I'm quite happy to accept it though !
Hi to everyone else, hope you have a nice Monday

scully · 20/10/2008 03:23

You would think I was drinking now, with that first sentence. Should read, 'I've been easing up a bit lately'
Also, forgot to mention the preseed arrived this morning, dh and I managed to bd on Fri, I'm about to email him now to prepare himself for tonight and Wed

cricri · 20/10/2008 08:20

Welcome to Lobsterslass, I remember you from the Baby waiting room and also from MC Avengers. You'll find lots of friendship and support here.
Georgie Sorry to hear about your crap week and also at your builders. Don't feel bad about having to get a project manager in, hopefully that will give them the necessary kick up the arse. You've got two children to look after and you can't be running around after people who aren't doing their jobs properly. Hope the tests all come back normal too.
Fruity Great that you're feeling movements and I bet you can't wait for your 4D scan. I found it an amazing experience!
Kate How is the new puppy? Pictures please!
Teehee Sounds as though you're really busy - don't forget to put your feet up occasionally
Sparkly Glad you know where you are now with AF and can start a fresh cycle.
Ei Sorry she got you but glad you don't have flu!
Mollie Hope you're OK and that AF arrives soon.
Scully Good luck with the pre-seed
No news from me yet. Off to the hospital in 15 minutes for another scan to check the baby's kidney dilation. Not sure why they're bothering tbh seeing as they couldn't see much last time. She's going to be here soon in any case and I'm sure when they scan her the results will be much more accurate. It's not as though I even get to see her properly on the screen seeing as she's now so big and her head is right down in my pelvis, although it's always nice to see her little heart beating Will let you know how it goes.
Hello to everybody else

teeheelaydee · 20/10/2008 08:25

I'm taking a bit of a sneaky sicky today. God I never would have done this a year ago. To be fair I do feel a bit knackered and sick but honestly I could probably struggle in. Work have been rubbish to me over the last 18 months so I am not inclined to put myself out this time. Does that make me awful?

Sparkly I was so impressed with your Sex and the City style Japanese lunch and shopping trip and you go an ruin the allusion with a pint and a pizza - honestly!! No I haven't started the blinds - haven't even been to the library yet but I have started removing the grout from the tiles to spruce it up with new stuff - OMG what an utterly tediously boring job. I also have not had the results of the GTT - it will be 3 weeks tomorrow so I might chase them although I reckon it's going to be one of those annoying things where they don't bother to contact if all OK - so feeling quite positive about it.

Scully Spend the 1000 on Moet - surely it doesn't really count as booze - it's mainly bubbles. How cool for the government to just give you money - I wish. Work have finally caught on and reduced my money to 4 days a week but it would have been nice for them to let me know they had done it rather than just waiting for me to just get paid and find out that way. Or am I just being finickity.

Anyway must get on with my busy duvet day!!
