NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 15/10/2008 17:07

We're home. They took blood, did BP (still up but not high), and were very close to keepng me in tonight for a 24 hour urine collection (nice!) managed to get away with it till tomorrow when the results from the bloods come back, if they find something then I'll be in tomorrow.

GYo 18 weeks already?

tinkisgoingtohaveapumpkin · 15/10/2008 17:30

ye nat so glad they took bloods bet you feel better nowgood luck 4 results tom

GYo · 15/10/2008 17:36

Nat- so glad someone is taking a proper look at you at last hopefully the bloods will be conclusive one way or the other.

I know re being 18wks , the first 10 or so weeks really dragged and dragged and now its going at lightening speed.

Thanks again, I feel relieved just for having someone actually take a bit of notice, instead of assuming I am some sort of neurotic whinge bag... well I am, but she shouldn't assume

lulumama · 15/10/2008 17:42

so glad it is being taken seriosuly NJ. x

GYo · 15/10/2008 17:46

Wow Nat, of all the people I've come across on MN, you are definately NOT a whinge bag AT ALL! Quite the opposite I'd say!

Think the MW who saw you the first time should be in disgrace... ( sounding like my mother!)

GYo · 15/10/2008 17:48

PS not saying the wagon is full of whingers just randoms I've come across!

Off home now. DH going to pick up fish and chips. Overly excited about that- Tiny things please me these days!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 15/10/2008 18:02

evening- sorry to have heard about you going to the hospital today NJ, but glad its being looked into properly now!! Hope the results show its something that can be sorted easily!!

Had a pretty pants day, only sick twice but felt drained and tired all day!! Hope its just side effects from the medication... i was feeling much perkier the last few days and thought i was passing the tired stage!!

I'm making Pie, Mash, Cabbage and Broccoli for tea, and my mouth is watering already!! I wish i could have had a roast chicken instead, but had to settle for what i have in!!

SesHasapinkline · 15/10/2008 18:26

Hi all!

I'm fed up with work getting in the way of MN

NJ - glad they took some bloods and hope you get some reassurances.

Glaskham - sorry you've not felt great today. Hope you manage to enjoy your tea.

Will try and catch up properly now...

Diege · 15/10/2008 19:17

Hi SES, how are things? How long until your 12 week scan now?
Reslly glad you've been seen properly now NAT - will be good to get the results back too, and quite qucik by the sounds of things too .
Mmm GLASK, your tea sounds yummy. Think I might get some pies in tommorrow!
GYO, I know what you mean about the little things - I am looking forward to my fishfingers and chips. I also have the new copies of Grazia and OK mag to read .
TINK, I didn;t use my cot mobile at all. I followed Gina Fords methods and avoided any thing that could distract them from sleeping . Did look lovely 'on show' though when baby was out of it .
Well I am on my lonesome tonight as dh is staying overnight in a swanky hotel for work . Like having the TV to myself but it's going to be a bit manic getting them all to nursery/school tomorrow on my own. Please pray that it doesn;t rain for me!
Feeling very, very tired at the moment, far more so in last pregnancy, hoping it's a good sign! I am that limbo period now where it's too early to start worrying about scan just yet. Sure it will feel more real when I have GFPs appointment next week

SesHasapinkline · 15/10/2008 19:27

Hi Diege
The limbo stage in the first couple of weeks can be v frustrating and drag but seeing GP will help. All your symptoms are sounding good!
My 12 week scan is in 2 weeks. Have realized that I'm still not thinking of myself as pg despite the fact I was lucky enough to get 8 week scan. My thought processes are things like "in theory I should be 10 weeks pg" and " if I'm pg" when I should just be thinking I am 10 weeks pg.
On the other hand, I hope everything's ok as my belly is swelling and my usually loose trousers that I need a belt for, I'm struggling to do up

Sorry - ramble, ramble...

Heebeejeebee · 15/10/2008 19:46

Evening all

Sorry I've not been around recently - had a work conference so the run up and aftermath have been manic at work.

I've done a quick scan of the thread, Congrats Diege!!!!! How are you feeling?

And NJ - glad to hear that someone is taking some notice now..

Anyhoo... was just waiting for AF and I idly did a test tonight.

Anyone want to know what it said?

SesHasapinkline · 15/10/2008 19:51

I'm thread crashing but am a sucker for good news- go on!!!

Heebeejeebee · 15/10/2008 19:56

BFP!!!!!!!!!

DH and I just stared at each other. Am now delighted and terrified all at the same time. The ep midwife said after the m/c I would be seen by them, so am off to be referred by the drs tomorrow..

SesHasapinkline · 15/10/2008 20:01

Heebee - congrats
Fantastic news

My EPU were v understanding seeing as they'd seen me for 2 ERPCs this year and did me an early scan. They wouldn't do it before 8 weeks though. Hope you manage to get referral and fingers crossed for a sticky bean!

OP posts:
Heebeejeebee · 15/10/2008 20:05

Thank you!! As much as I've thought about it, dh and I want to wait until 8 weeks to have a scan - last time they scanned me as I went for an early appointment (I've suffered from epilepsy in the past) at 7 weeks and it went wrong just after..

SesHasapinkline · 15/10/2008 20:09

Oooh! I'm excited for you.
Keeping everything crossed.

mummy2olivia · 15/10/2008 20:16

Congrats!!! love good news!!

Diege · 15/10/2008 20:19

That's brilliant news HEEBS, really, really pleased for you . I think we must be due around the same time? Did you have a feeling you might be pregnant?
SES, can't believe you're nearly out of first trimester! Must have been great having a good early scan - it has inspired me to push for one rather than burying my head in the sand!

GruffaloSoldier · 15/10/2008 21:11

Hello all!

CONGRATS HEEBEE! Yay for good news!

NJ - im glad things are being done for you at last. Fingers crossed they sort you out

Glask - sorry to hear you are feeling ill again.

Hope everyone else is ok.

Was just wondering about 6 week check. Mine has to be with GP for some reason and I need to book it soon. If Im 16 weeks on the Thurs is it ok to book it for the following Tuesday? Is it the done thing for DH to go in with you? And will HB be definitely listened for?

Sorry for all the questions but I have been thinking about it for a while and I thought Id better get on and actually do something about it!

Thanks

GruffaloSoldier · 15/10/2008 21:15

16 weeks check i mean!

Diege · 15/10/2008 21:16

Hi GRUFF . The following Tues would be absolutely fine. Do you see a midwife at all at the appointment or is your care GP-led? It would be fine to have dh with you; will make him feel really involved etc. I think they do listen for heartbeat at 16 weeks from memory .
Right, that's it from me - ready to drop. Speak tomorrow on my skive at work from home day
