Here we are on another new thread! Let's hope it's a lucky one

Did you measure yourself or get DH to do it? Maybe the tape measure wasn't straight or something? I just can't see how a piece of material 38" long would fit around 44".

Another thought, a few years ago, they used to add 4" to the back size, they don't do that anymore, but maybe that site is programmed the old way?

kayzisexpecting · 10/10/2008 13:24

It could be Nat. I measured myself and when I got that size back I got DH to do it and got the same size.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 10/10/2008 13:26

Are you actually measuring 44" on the tape measure?

kayzisexpecting · 10/10/2008 13:29

No 40" I think it must be adding 4" to the number.

kayzisexpecting · 10/10/2008 13:31

I rang Bravissimo and they said they think I just need to wear 38E or maybe a 38F as its not too tight but the cups are too small and the wire is very unconfortable now.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 10/10/2008 13:39

I'm no expert, but wouldn't expect someone over the phone to give you the right size. If you are measuring 40" on the tape measure, then why would they say to get a 38?

I have never ever been measured in a shop, I go and try them on (even if I have to do it sneakily and take other clothes or something into the changing room). Even if you get measured, bras are just like other clothes, what fits from one shop, won't always fit from another shop.

Am quite lucky in that pregnancy doesn't really effect my boobs, I have gone up one cup size but that's it so far, BF is a different matter, last time I had a whole spectrum of different size bras for different days, sometimes hours!

kayzisexpecting · 10/10/2008 13:42

Bravissimo dont use tape measures. They go on how the woman describes the problems. God knows!!!!!

I'm wearing a 38DD now but I've been that size since having DS 19 months ago. I've ordered some 38E's and I'll just have to hope they fit.

GruffaloSoldier · 10/10/2008 14:26

Hey!

Curiosity got the better of me so I phoned my department for my results as found out via email that they only went out today.

Anyway... I got a Pass with Merit which is equivalent to a 2-1 so Im happy! Dont know my exact percentage but should hopefully get that in the post tomorrow!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 10/10/2008 14:28

Wow Gruff - well done Congratulations

Diege · 10/10/2008 14:39

Excellent news GRUFF You must be so pleased as that's a brilliant result .
Any plans for a celebration tonight?

Well my anxieties have started already. Nothing to suggest it but after reading some threads about faint lines I'm getting paranoid that I'm going to have a chemical pregnancy. Really scared to test again in case line gets fainter rather than stronger . Will try not to test again until next Friday when af will be 4 days late - really don't want to let the wagon down by posting bad news after everyone's been so lovely . Does any of that make sense or am I going crazy?

GruffaloSoldier · 10/10/2008 15:11

oh dear I just dropped off there for a bit

Seemed to have gone a bit worse again - yuck.

Anyhow, yes Im pleased. No plans to celebrate as yet. Will probably wait to the worst of this thing is over. then organise something.

Diege, I have been anxious from the moment I got my BFP so dont worry at all, you are not crazy its all normal - especially as what you have been through! Anyway, theres no way whatevr happens you could ever let any of us down!Try and keep positive and just wait and see

SesHasapinkline · 10/10/2008 15:26

Fantastic news Gruff! V impressive!

Diege - just think back to some of my paranoid posts here over the last 5 - 6 weeks. I know exactly how you feel and if it helps to post your worries and anxieties here then do.

Diege · 10/10/2008 16:15

Thanks girls . I know that nothing I do or think will effect the chances of this one sticking, so will just try and ride it out. If anything does go wrong, I'd far rather it did next week than at 10 weeks like last time anyway! I may pluck up the courage to join the knicker-checkers thread in a week or so so I don't bore you all to death .
Out of interest SES when did you make appointment with GP this time round?

Playingthe9monthwait · 10/10/2008 16:16

Hi all, haven't really read the thread just having a quick peek and a sly post when i really should be working.

Deige - do I gather you got a BFP? If so, congratulations!!!

Kay - you're back!! How the devil are you?

Gruf - well doen on your Merit

Hi everyone else

Diege · 10/10/2008 16:28

Hi Playing!! I had a bfp on Tuesday, but my period isn't due till Monday so very nervous! How are things with you?

GruffaloSoldier · 10/10/2008 16:32

Hi Playing! Thanks!

Nice to 'see' you! Hope all is well with you.

GYo · 10/10/2008 16:51

Gruff- congratulations thats fantastic mark your must be dead chuffed. Good for you! Least you can relax over the w/e now!

Hope you start feeling a bit better. Any improvement this afternoon?

Hi Playing- nice to see you here, albeit briefly.

Diege- think its so natural to be anxious and you'd never be a bore! Those early days are such a killer when there is no way of knowing whats going on but try and keep positive. Also no need to to worry about what we might think on wagon re any bad news (not that it will happen! positive thinking here!) we are all here to support whatever happens!

I've been quiet as I've actually got my head down and sorted through my emails. Quite an achievement given that I had 2wks worth!

Wagon pot of tea and chocolate biscuits anyone?

GYo · 10/10/2008 16:55

Something else that came to mind Diege-re anxiety- its so normal and more so for your given the MC in the summer. Try and be nice to yourself about the worry and let it happen. Early days are really hard- when I've had concerns about my pregnancy the biggest thing I've worried about it if it went wrong was whether I could face going through those anxious few weeks at the start again....

I even think that now about a potential DC2!

Playingthe9monthwait · 10/10/2008 17:01

Yay Deige - I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Gruf - yes everything does seem ok. Have stopped being so dreadfully sick, just stuck with headaches and heartburn now. Got my 20wk scan in a week, so beginning to get excited and nervous. Still got to decide whether or not to find out the sex.

Gyo- how are you?

In fact, how is everyone?

GYo · 10/10/2008 17:10

Hi Playing
Cant believe your scan date is next week. Feels like yesterday you were getting the BFP!

Im good thanks- now 17.5wks and having a similar dilema re finding out the sex. Really cant decide. :-) What do you think you will do?

Glad to hear your sickness has subsided but bad news about the heartburn. Are you taking anyhting?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 10/10/2008 17:12

Evening

Diege, as has been said, but wanted to make doubly sure the message sinks in, firstly it is completely normal for you to worry more, and in fact would probably be strange if you didn't, and secondly, you never ever have to worry about us lot down . Do you remember all of my ramblings in the early weeks with this one? Anyone who is pregnant again after a MC is the same, and I should imagine after a MMC it's 100 times worse.

Hiya Playing

DS2 is feeling so sorry for himself, he keeps lying down on the sofa, then get's up and wants to play, but realises he is better off on the sofa, so climbs back up again... he is having some toast (first thing he'll have eaten today, and for the amount of stuff that has come out of him, he couldn't have had anything left in him) Fingers crossed it stays put, at least long enough for him to get some goodness from it.

And completely forgot to tell you all this morning, but thought you'd all like a laugh. We were driving home from Tesco yesterday, big truck didn't stop at the give way and nearly ploughed into us, now DH doesn't swear very often but said quite loudly "knobend" DS1 pipes up with "What's a no bend?"

Where's LB? Has she been on at all this week? Didn't she say she had hols from work or something?

Oh, toast isn't sticking..... have a good night everyone if I'm not back xxx

GYo · 10/10/2008 17:14

Hi Nat
Hope your poor DS2 is feeling better soon..

All of my sister family are at it now.

Bye for now

Playingthe9monthwait · 10/10/2008 17:20

I'm living on gaviscon . It does help btu doesn't get rid of it.

It is scary who quickly time goes, am 18+5 now (so will actually be 19+5 at 20 wk scan).

I am really torn about the sex thing, part of my does want to know and not just cos it makes planning easier I also want to bond with the little baby inside me. The other part feels like its a bit like opening your xmas pressie early. Then again as my DH keeps saying, how much of a surprise will it actually be? If you knew you were going to get one of 2 things for xmas you would of course be happy with your gift but you wouldn't be "surprised". But then again even if it isnt a surprise as such, does not knowing make the birth just that little bit more special? Mind you, how much more special could giving birth to your first child be? See, I am a complete nutter, these debates just keep raging in my head .

Playingthe9monthwait · 10/10/2008 17:23

Hi Nat, sorry missed you post. at DS1. Sorry to hear that DS2 is poorly.
