kayzisexpecting · 10/10/2008 08:30

Morning Tink.

Its not going too bad I suppose. I've had 2 kidney infections which bloody hurt!! Pain is in exactly the same place contraction pains are so I had to go to hospital so they could check I wasn't in early labour. I have NO energy at all and have to have a nap with DS nearly everyday.

Work sucks big time, but apart from all that I am fine!!

How are you? Congrats on another girl!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 10/10/2008 08:43

Morning

Hiya Kay, great to have you back Have just seen the message on FB, (well infact seen the email FB sent me to say you'd messaged!) I am not very good with the FB thing, can ya tell?

Sorry for kidney infections, not much fun I'll bet! Are you on AB's for them?

Tink fingers crossed your money is in

Hope all the poorlies are feeling a bit better this morning?

DS2 has DS1's bug, except it is exploding coming out of both ends.... loverly! It's actually more worrying with him because he fits when his temp gets high, so am on thermometer check every half hour. Can't take him out in the god awful weather, am going to have to leave him in his pen, while I stand outside and watch DS1 walk to school, it is only across the road but already my heart is going ten to the dozen! Am hoping one of his friends are walking past at the same time so he can walk with them...

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 10/10/2008 08:46

Arghhhh, some how managed to leave out a load of my message then...

Glask, poor you, hope you get some relief in hospital.

Gruff, good luck for results this morning, and sorry about your hand, is it OK this morning?

kayzisexpecting · 10/10/2008 08:50

I have been on AB's, but they have cleared up for now anyway. MIL made a big thing about how I wasn't allowed to take AB's while pregnant and moaned alot.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 10/10/2008 09:15

Oh c'mon, be fair now, don't you know that MIL's have had a gazzilion more years medical training than the silly doctors?

My little baby boy walked to school all by himself

kayzisexpecting · 10/10/2008 09:20

Awwww poor Nat. My HV mentioned getting DS registered for nursery already a few weeks ago and I nearly died.

Oh MIL has really outdone herself while I've been away. She told DH that when I have had the baby, he should get me to go out and then disappear with the kids. Needless to say he told her where to shove it.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 10/10/2008 09:24

Yep DS1's old nursery cornered me about a year or so ago to get DS2's name down.

Your MIL sounds like a nice piece of work. I think if I was you I'd let DH do all the running round taking the kids there (if he wants them to see her), and just stay away from her. You don't need shit like that going on.

GYo · 10/10/2008 09:29

morning all

Nat- sorry to hear that you DSs are so poorly, think bugs are circularting left, right and centre, my middle niece has apparently been chucking up all night too..

Gruff- wow you sounds proper poorly, how is you hand? Are you feeling anybetter today.

We tried the doppler last night and got a heartbeat immediately - was amazing, as good as the Midwife got the other day. But bit later tried again (once DH had stopped trying to listen to his own heart!) but it was much lower down and quieter! so obviously dependent on where baby is lying.
-Thanks for the recommendation Tink, we are really pleased with the angel

Morning everyone else

GYo · 10/10/2008 09:31

Hi Kay/ Nat- re getting names down for nurseries- do we really need to worry now? I plan (will have to!) go back to work after 9mths- was already thinking about nurseries, is it really necessary to get a name down now? Place required for about a year from now....

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 10/10/2008 09:32

Morning GYo

Hoorah for the doppler How exciting

Yep the bugs are a plenty, some really nasty ones as well.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 10/10/2008 09:34

I would deffo get looking at reserving a place for in a years time.

kayzisexpecting · 10/10/2008 09:36

Only a few more weeks and then I don't have to go round there to drop off/pick up DS. We jokingly said she wasn't getting a xmas present as she was getting a new grandchild and she demanded a present because she looks after DS. So DH sugested a lump of coal

Diege · 10/10/2008 09:37

Morning . Kay, I agree with Nat, your MIL sounds like a real nutter and not in a funny crazy way either . What a bitch - I'd stay well away! Oh and AB are fine in pregnancy - your gp would have prescribed pregnancy-frinedly ones and it would have been worse to leave the kidney infection as it was.
NAT, hope ds gets better soon! Sounds like you've got a lot on at the moment. Has IU settled down at all? dd1 asked me to leave her at the gate to walk in herself today, and I was really paranoid about her getting in OK (and she's 7!).
TINKS - fingers crossed you get your money and the outfits! I know with things like that I can't rest until they're in my hands!
GRUFF - Hope the post comes with the results today - would be torture to have to wait till sat, or even worse Monday!
Hope everyone is well and OK. Haven't hreard from LB for a few days - hope things are OK?
We're off to Jo Jingles class again this morning - without dd1 this week! Then just planning on getting some stuff onto e-bay.
It's really weird having such a early bfp - I feel I've sort of tricked my body and that I shouldn;t really know yet. A few symptoms are starting to creep up on me (tingly boobs, tiredness, blood hound nose etc) but I swear I would never had put 2 and 2 together if I hadn;t tested early!

Diege · 10/10/2008 09:38

Mornign GYO . Yep, get name down for nursery now I'd say. I went back after dd1 at 4 months, and put name down after 20 week scan - got the last of only 2 places too!

kayzisexpecting · 10/10/2008 09:39

She's not bothering us too much. SIL is expecting and its like the second coming of Jesus.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 10/10/2008 09:45

Morning oh so early pregnant Diege I am still having a little smile to myself when you cross my mind!

Must be good actually to have the symptoms after the BFP, at least then You're not thinking "oh my boobs are tingly, no they're not, I just want them to be, no, no, deffo a bit tingly"

IU has actually been fairly quiet this week, but got it's payback last night, luckily not too painful just extra extra tight/uncomfortable.

Diege · 10/10/2008 09:51

Extra tight sounds pretty uncomfortable to me Nat! (I nearly resorted to wagon gutter humour then but resisted )I have decided that one of these days I am going to get a flask and a large packet of biscuits and read through your old labour thread - I vaguely remember 'Is Nat J still pregnant?' thread, but didn't read the whole drama!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 10/10/2008 09:54

PMSL I nearly did the same re. the wagon gutter comment, I did sit and ponder for a second if I could word it better but thought oh sod it!

OMG, my labour threads... you'll need more biscuits and a bottle of vodka Think it was Aitch comparing me to an elephant... grrrr

GYo · 10/10/2008 09:55

Morning Diege- also still smiling here- so much excitement for your BFP!

Thanks for the nursery advice guys- will start to think about it properly after the 20wk scan! its a frightening thing though! Putting a name down for someone who hasnt even been born!

Diege, impressed with you going back to work at 4mths, did you do that with all the girls?

GruffaloSoldier · 10/10/2008 09:57

Morning everyone!

Had a bit of a restless night but did get some sleep. My big sis text me at 4am from Bolivia and woke me up after finally getting to sleep

Feeling better today as can actually breathe through my nose [sort of] and hand is fine after all that, what a drama queen!

Ears and head still giving me grief but still, I can only get better

Im trying not to get to wound up about my results [not working] im thinking the disorganisation of my department means they probably havent even been posted yet!

Kay - your MIL sounds appalling, Im so glad your DH is supportive! Coal methinks is a great idea for xmas

NJ bless your DS one, how sweet! hope ds2 recovers soon.

Tink - more shopping? cor blimey!wont you get oodles of clothes presents when baby is born? (thats what I'm holding out for!)

GYo · 10/10/2008 09:58

LOL wish I'd known about those threads when I was twiddling my thumbs yesterday!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 10/10/2008 09:58

GYo, when we used to live down south, our old next door neighbours had their PFB about 9 months after DS1 was born, they had her name down for every stage of schooling, right up to senior (or upper schools as they are there) school, before she was even born... They were going through college and uni options by the time she was a year old...

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 10/10/2008 10:01

Morning Gruff, fingers crossed you keep improving today. And you're not a drama queen, there is nothing worse than being ill and totally fed up, and then to have an accident like burning yourself on top of that is enough to tip anyone over the edge!
