Hi all...I will be testing this weekend and would love to have companion on the 7 day countdown to compare symptoms up to test day.
Currently trying for baby no.2, and have been for about a year now with one M/C during that time.

Symptom/s to date at 8dpo are:

1. Pulling type feeling low down in the groin area....

Nothing more to report at this stage..is that good?

Pls come share your experiences during the up and coming week. Its always interesting to see at the end of the week which symptom/s actually end in the coverted BFP...Yeah .

I'm out I'm afriad . Huge temp drop this morn and a BFN. Just a matter of time before AF arrives. It seems I am a complete freak on the symptoms front. Back to the drawing board for me.

I just did a test too - BFN. AF due today or tomorrow.

Huge congratulations to CoteDAzure!!!! Yellowflowers and GeorgieGirl - really hope that your periods have stayed away, it ain't over until they turn up ... and if they do then you can turn your attention to next month ... not much consolation I know.

I'm testing in the morning. Really don't know what to expect. I don't know if the symptoms I've been having are 'normal' as my cycle is far from normal so I'll just have to wait and see.

Having a "bit of a morning"

Got up 6ish to sort out dd2, needed a wee but as so early forgot I was supposed to be testing....

Drank loads of water and thought sod it I'll do one in a couple of hours.....

Just gone to poas and thought there wasn't a lid with the boots cheapie and pee'd all over the handle end, then couldn't understand why nothing had happened further investigation reavealed boots cheapie do indeed have a cap Thing is I am normally the most practical woman I know I can do flat pack etc but floored by a HPT ...

And to top it all I STILL DON'T KNOW !!!!!

May just drink more and waste one anyway later ....or I coyuld just be really really patient and wait till tomorrow

(right now feeling just a little too stupid to even contemplate pregnancy ( I can't afford to lose aymore brain cells )

Well, tested this morning - BFN.

Bit p*ssed off but am planning to test again on Monday, assuming nothing else happens in the mean time ...

Oh Doris I know I shouldn't laugh but there IS a funny side to that !

I wasn't impressed with the Boots cheapie I tried on Thurs - I did get the lid off but had real trouble reading it ! I eventually realised I was looking for the cross in the wrong box, then had real trouble working out whether the faint cross in the right box was real or not. Wouldn't recommend those tests at all

Reallyhoping Really sorry it hasn't worked out for you this month. Totally understand how you feel. However, it great to see you have such a positive outlook and are planning to test again on monday. Will keep everything crossed for you until you report back to us.

Doris You really have cheered me up this morning. Very funny, was having a bit of a funny day yesterday myself so again, totally understand. At this point you might as well wait until the morning as FMU is best....do you reckon you can wait...I know its hard....

Me, I have got up this morning, untill reading Doris's comments with a bear head. Have decided not to test as am quite sure not pregnant based on have pms type pains all day yesterday. Will wait now until tomorrow if she doesn't turn up today.... and hopefully feel more positive if she makes no show today.

I think DP is still in shock !! I need to find some easy way of getting him information in a form he can absorb - he was trying to give me Camembert last night and I don't think that is allowed. May post a thread asking for book recommendation - maybe there are some for men ! A friend with a 7 week old baby is visiting today and I was talking about putting the car seat in my car - he got worried and thought I was getting a bit ahead of myself !

I am totally new to this and very confused at the minute can anyone help??

I am terribly constipated and have been for 3 days solid - its so painful! im 2 days late now and usually quite regular! im exaushted so so tierd and emotional which isnt like me at all!! i have had a horrible metallic taste in my mouth for days and occassionally my boobs are a bit tender which i never get prior to my period. I have also had waves of nausea but convinced myslef this was my imagination! Negative test this morning and i dont know what to do! im so confused!

Hi Wishing, it does sound promising... It's not unusual to get a negative result early on. I would give it a few more days and then test again. Good luck!

Does anyone recommend a brand of testing?? I used tescos own! though it said could be void if you over or under wet! Both me and DH had a different view on what 10 secs is!!

Hi, this is my first post on mumsnet. A bit confused by all the abreviations! I am due my period any day but have had the most unbelievable changes to my boobs! They are really achy, big and my nipples are really swollen and sore. Also got lots of visable blue veins across my chest which was definitely a sign with 1st 2. Did a test this morning which was negative but may be too early as am very irregular.

Hello LJ29 - im in the same boat!! symptoms and late but negative test - abreviations are a bit hard for me to understand too!! ive workd out a few main ones using the acrynom list at the top!!

I Really really want this but have a sinking feeling im just late!!

It's so hard, isn't it? Am waiting for mine at the mo and don't really think I could be pg at the mo because I haven't really had any different symptoms, though you never know.

I think the tests are all pretty similar to be honest, Wishing. I find it hard knowing how long 10 seconds too, and if it's been a constant stream too etc etc!

I didnt know how hard it was - its crazy to thiunk of all the time you spent trying to make sure you didnt catch on and then when your ready to its a struggle!!

some 3-5 secs some say 10!! i arent confident enough to try pee ON it i always pee into a container first! Abook i have says it shouldnt be warm either?!?! its heard to know whats true and whats not. on the day of ovulation i fell out with DH so i had crossed this month of but now im late and have symptoms?? EVERYONE at work seems to be ammouncing they are pg and everywhere i look there are pg women!! it seems so cruel - im so sad today

Well, I got a -ve test this morning too but I still think I'm in with a chance ... but that's probably wishful thinking in the extreme!

Some people don't react to tests as early as others; there have been people on MN who've not shown up +ve on a HPT until they were 8 or even 10 weeks.

I'm going to test again on Monday and if there's no change then I'm going to ring my specialist and see what she has to say. THe symptoms I've been having have been so pronounced that something must be going on; it's just a question of what.

Jools - how are you getting on; has it started to sink in yet?
Wishing and LJ29 - hang in there and test again in a few days. The waiting can be horrendous but there's little else to be done ...

are headaches a sign??

wishing - I had splitting headaches that lasted for days in first trimester of my pregnancy with dd. Not sure if it was because I quit smoking cold turkey or because of pregnancy itself.

No problams with anyone laughing at me!!! dh was right there with you I thought it might cheer you all up

Did another test later, on the right end of the stick {grin} but still a negative... but I had this with dd1 so am still optimistic (although does seem to change by the minute!

Had very odd smells last night and this morning , last night could smell soot from the fireplace dh (with the smelliest nose in the world said he really couldn't smaell anything! This morning dh's shower gel smelt really revolting tbh it's the smellovision that's keeping my hopes up atm.

Fingers crossed we're all in with a chance until the red witch arrives, fingers crossed and test sticks at the ready!!

congrats cote, on the BFP!! that's brilliant news.

not meant to be for me this month sadly, AF arrived on 17th (even earlier than expected!) so fingers crossed for others too if they are moving onto next month.
