Thought I'd start another thread as the last one was SO successful but is starting to take a while to load and I keep losing my place in it!

A quick update on my stats - on CD39 of third cycle since getting AF back after DS was born in April 2004 (10.5 months old).

Have endometriosis and PCOS so have decided to let nature take its course over the next few months and if I fall pg naturally, then so be it. If I don't, then we'll try clomid again (worked first time for us with DS).

Am still breastfeeding, so have erratic cycles - they were always long (so far have had AF visit twice and had 50 and 42-day cycles).

No idea when I ov - may try OPK's next month if no success this month (and don't think I am pg atm).

Think that's it!

Lots and lots of babydust to all the ttcers and lots and lots of babyglue to those who've just had BFPs (and more congrats!). xxx

nasa · 21/02/2005 11:03

how old is your first horseshoe?

horseshoe · 21/02/2005 11:27

Shes 2 now and a real little tinker.....

She's my miracle baby. I went into hospital as I had a missed m/c which hit me quite hard and 10 weeks later my AF hadn't returned and so the doctor sent me to the hospital because it was likely that they hadn't removed the fetus in full and I was still producing some PG hormones. I had a scan and found out that I was nearly 8 weeks pg.

horseshoe · 21/02/2005 12:15

OH NO.........I'm feeling the familiar signs of AF beginning.....

I feel sick to the pit of my stomach.

nasa · 21/02/2005 12:17

wow horseshoe that is a story.
sorry about signs of AF...it sucks doesn't it. Once you get cramps you just want it to arrive so you can be put out of your misery but then there is still a bit of you that thinks...well maybe, it might not be (even though you know it is
BUT...maybe it isn't horseshoe {{{hugs}}}
sorry that ramble made no sense at all did it

horseshoe · 21/02/2005 12:31

Yes it makes loads of sense to me...

I had to stop myself yesterday as I started daydreaming what I needed to do in the next 9 months if I was and then I had to tell myself that I couldn't think about something that probably wasn't there as it would hit harder when AF arrived.

I'm gonna keep going though. Just have to look at my DD to see that it's all worth it in the end.

cp3 · 21/02/2005 12:46

Blimey another thread really taken off. Good luck all.

Fresco i have to have c-sections because i have displaced pelvic bones, they are S shaped apparently.

Docs are not happy at all about doing another section but this will definatley be my last child (if i ever get pregnant again that is)

anchovies · 21/02/2005 15:48

Hi

Thought I'd put my stats on as I'm relatively new (been lurking for ages though!)

Im 25 and so is DH
Have DS 13 months
TTC for 2 weeks(!) have been charting temps in secret so no pressure for DH!
Conceived DS with a coil however have a bicornuate uterus and endometriosis so not sure how easy this is going to be. Have an appointment with gynae in 2 weeks.

Good luck to everyone, aren't the recent BFPs very exciting and inspiring!!

velcrobott · 21/02/2005 16:06

Had long awaited gynae referral (very nice and patient doc).... he said I was pre-menopausal... my eggs are counted....... I wouldn't even get IVF (not that I want that) but would need an egg donor if I was trying to concieve my 1st!!!!
I will continue to get blood tests this months and if results don't improve... then I might end up being pregnant but would have no clue when to try to concieve
And I am only 37 !

Moomin · 21/02/2005 16:52

so sorry to read this velcrobott
i do think though, that some people are meant to be mummies and if you want it that much it wil happen, one way or another. i was adopted after my parents tried for 12 years and they were the best parents in the world (i know i'm bound to say that). sadly my mum dies in an accident when i was 9 so my dad brought me and my brother up, which i think shows that he was/is a kind of special person anyway.

i hope no-one minds me hanging on here for a little bit. i know it cam be a bit frustrating of you're feeling all blue and thinking ttc will never end and there's some punch-drunk poster who's had a bfp and is la-la land! try to tolerate me with gritted teeth if you can!

just come back from my 1st acupuncture treatment, which i was going to have to help with the ivf but i'll keep on to help me keep nice and calm. she put all the needles in and as i lay there she did some very gentle reflexology on my feet. she said that in my right foot she could feel the tiniest little bump so i said 'oo, what's that then?' and she smiled and said 'it's your baby'!!! when i got home, dh had been up to the hopsital to tell our lovely consultant that we won't be wanting the ivf and he was chuffed to bits for us and told dh that i could ring his sec and get an early scan done. isn't that nice?

all my fingers and toes crossed for you all xxxxxxxxxxx

Moomin · 21/02/2005 16:53

god i'm so rubbish! i'm listening to 'wires' by ahtlete as i write this and i'm in floods of tears, i'm so happy

Hulababy · 21/02/2005 17:29

Oh velcrobot Sorry to hear that.

jessicasmummy · 21/02/2005 17:31

im still lurking here too - although ive posted on october thread, i miss you guys!!!!

velcrobot - so sorry to hear your news... i hope you find a way through this xxx

velcrobott · 21/02/2005 17:50

Thanks guys I am not too upset as I already have two kids... but I don't like that I may need to start taking HRT as it is suppose to be important for PREmenopause (to do with bone density issues).

katierocket · 21/02/2005 20:18

moomin - acupuncture?? really interested to hear about your experience of this as I am going to see someone about this next week (his 'specialism' is infertility).

(sorry to confuse, I was katierocket, then nasa now katierocket again!)

MINNIE1 · 21/02/2005 21:15

jessicasmummy · 21/02/2005 21:18

Hulababy · 21/02/2005 21:20

Had my parents round until a few minutes ago. Had bottle of wine with my mum too - so not foicusing on the keys so well now! LOL!!!

jessicasmummy · 21/02/2005 21:22

dont blame you hula - you deserve to chill out - wish i could have a few to drink right now! Need to calm myself down a bit!

Told dad tonight about the baby - took it better than i thought he would but i think he is still a bit dissapointed i didnt wait a bit longer.... OH WELL.... WHO CARES?!

Moomin · 21/02/2005 22:45

katierocket - yes, i'd heard from quite a few people that acupuncture helped them when they were ttc. one of my mates had it while she was going through fertility treatment which included clomid, to help soften the side effects and help her to relax. another mate had it alongside chinese herbal medicine, again to help the treatment along and to calm her down. one was successful in that it enede with a baby, now 6 m old (my clomid friend) and the other friend got pg but miscarried (for 3rd time so she;s now undergoing further investigations).

as i was due to have ivf i booked an appt with a lady who used to be a nurse and midwife and who now specialises in fertility and pregnancy with acupuncture, homeopathy and reflexology. of course, i told her i was now pg when i turned up today and she said that the treatment would be a bit different, a bit more gentle. the idea is that acupuncture improves the blood flow to the repro organs and helps remove negative energies, amongst other things. now i'm pg she said it may well also be used if i get morning sickness and to help energise me. i have to say that after today's session i feel like building an extension to the house, i'm so energetic. hence me babbling on here - i'm really awake! hope i can wind down enough to sleep! hth x
