Thought I'd start another thread as the last one was SO successful but is starting to take a while to load and I keep losing my place in it!

A quick update on my stats - on CD39 of third cycle since getting AF back after DS was born in April 2004 (10.5 months old).

Have endometriosis and PCOS so have decided to let nature take its course over the next few months and if I fall pg naturally, then so be it. If I don't, then we'll try clomid again (worked first time for us with DS).

Am still breastfeeding, so have erratic cycles - they were always long (so far have had AF visit twice and had 50 and 42-day cycles).

No idea when I ov - may try OPK's next month if no success this month (and don't think I am pg atm).

Think that's it!

Lots and lots of babydust to all the ttcers and lots and lots of babyglue to those who've just had BFPs (and more congrats!). xxx

Hi popadopalis, welcome to the ttc thread. Hope this one's lucky for you hun!

Runtus, good luck with the clomid - that's how DS was conceived on the first month of trying, so I have my fingers crossed it's easy for you too!

Good luck with your scan tomorrow Marinda. Hope all goes well.

Munzie and HunkerMunker - Thank you for your welcome. I'm addicted to this already. Left Dh watching boring telly!!!

How long have you been trying? How many babies do you have already?

popadopalis · 28/02/2005 19:01

Can anyone tell me if it's worth buying a persona monitor? Seems really expensive so don't want to buy if it's not worth it. If so where can I get one cheaply?

sparkly · 28/02/2005 19:03

Went to the dr's this afternoon. He was really nice. Said that since, in theory anyway, I was 6 weeks pregnant, I needed to go for a scan at the early pregnancy clinic. He suggested the bleeding should be worse than it is (sorry, don't mean to be gross) so wanted me to get checked out. I know this might sound stupid but I know it's over - I hate having to go through all this extra stuff. Plus, I obviously haven't said anything to anyone else, least of all to work, and I had this afternoon off and now need Thursday morning off for my appointment. DP is away again and I want to be mad at him for going but I know he had to go. This is so hard

sparkly · 28/02/2005 19:05

runtus - I have had that happen when taking provera and my dr at the time said to keep taking and stop as originally planned. Presumably they did a pg test before giving you the provera anyway so you're safe to keep taking it. Good luck with the clomid, too, hope it works for you.

BabyBop · 28/02/2005 19:15

can anyone answer my question please? I am a bit worried now as I have been bleeding all day.

Canadianmom · 28/02/2005 19:36

BabyBop: I am sorry that you are still waiting for an answer... I wish that I had one for you. I have never bled following BD... I assume that this must be a first for you as well. How do you fell otherwise? Sorry for being ignorant (and lazy for not looking it up) but where are you in your cycle?

Hope someone else comes along with a better answer soon.

munnzieb · 28/02/2005 19:39

BB where r u in ur cycle?/ are you PG, that's my first question.

Pop - er, persona, def recommend them, i'm an avid fan! lol. i got mine from Ebay for £17 incl the postage, they can easily be re set. have a look on the forsale boards there's normally a couple floating about on here. i'll have a look for u now.

Rantus, glad everything's ok hon.

Canadianmom · 28/02/2005 19:41

Welcome popadopalis. I chat with twiga often on the ttc following a miscarriage thread and I am a snoop on this thread as well... Don't know much about persona but I am sure that you will have a better reply shortly as I see the name tossed around here often and I believe that they are often sold secondhand through MN.

Canadianmom · 28/02/2005 19:42

/runtus: Glad that your consultant was available to answer your question! Best wishes with the Clomid!

munnzieb · 28/02/2005 19:44

pop here u go, failing that start a persona wanted thread either in for sale/waned, they normally go relativly quickily thou.

persona

Canadianmom · 28/02/2005 19:45

Hello munnzieb! (From lurker to stalker for me!) How can you tell that the little ones are in front of the telly? I have a moment to play on MN before starting to worry about tea!

popadopalis · 28/02/2005 19:47

Hi Babybop, I'm popadopalis. I once bled after BD but didn't last too long. I was a bit shocked and worried. If it continues best to ask dr. Sorry can't be more help.

munnzieb · 28/02/2005 19:55

here's another link pop persona2

hiya Cad mom, how u doing over there?

popadopalis · 28/02/2005 19:57

Thanks munnzieb. Had a look and posted a note. Hopefully get one soon and give it a try.

Canadianmom - thanks for your welcome. Twiga is fab and one of my bestest friends!! So happy for her that she's pg now. The scan pics are sooo cute!!

Popa I am also very pleased for Twiga (a vitual-friend).

anchovies · 28/02/2005 20:24

Your test may have been too early... You will feel much better once you have either tested again or if you are crazy (like me) once you have missed another period. (I HATE testing until I am already 100% convinced that it will be +.) In my experience most MNers would encourage you to test again...
Wait to see what others advise. Best wishes.

hi ladies

CD4 and curiously coming off.funny, hormons back to normal so is my blood flow (sorry for the details).the body is a funny machine but a clever one at that.do any of you have bad af, i mean by bad a high flow of blood to the point where you need to use maternity pads instead of tampax or regular pads?
well today need to go and get my passport for the holiday in April and get dd a passport as well.Thats going to be a headache but needs to be done.

any more testers coming soon?
also i am pleased to see that instead of lasting 6 days now af just last 3 or 4 days as they used to.so mayb my body wasnt ready b4 for another pg where now it may b.

runtus · 01/03/2005 08:33

Thanks for the help ladies, much appreciated! Consultant is great, always able to get a message to him and back out again via his secretary and doesn't seem to mind me being a paranoid nutter! Took my first Clomid pill of this cycle today so I expect I'll feel like poo later on - but I guess it is all worth it

Really really hope it makes me ovulate this time round, not sure I can spend the whole month waiting to find out and then be disappointed all over again. Got really depressed when 50mg didn't work (over the top really but couldn't help it) so hoping that 100mg does thr trick!

Good luck everyone else - lets get those fingers crossed!

munnzieb · 01/03/2005 09:08

pd- hiya and welcome, possibly your hormones are just settling back down again? (((hugs))) don't worry about chatting and moaning on here, we all do it often enough, I'm sure i'd have gone mad if it wasn't for these ladies to keep me sane! lol.

Fresco - glad everything is settling back down for you hon.

Ratnus - good lluck, shower ur self in the baby dust, in fact hold on and i'll grab some.. (not taht I have any of my own but u can have my share for this month! lol)
