OP posts:
SesHasapinkline · 30/08/2008 17:23

Thanks everyone for the congrats! Doesn't really seem real. Will do CB digital in the morning so hope it says the right thing!

Dibdab - welcome This is a great thread and be warned it is very "addictable" and fast moving!

Gruffalo - must be good to get on board with midwife appointment.

NJ - sorry to hear you're suffering a bit. It must be really difficult juggling day to day life in the middle of it all. Take it easy!

lardybump · 30/08/2008 17:34

Congrats ses but dont forget that the cbd is less sensitive so may not get result if you are very early.

SesHasapinkline · 30/08/2008 17:42

Thanks LB
I know it may not register and wanted to buy a double pack just in case but they only had singles left... I have tesco own brand too to reassure me (hopefully) if it doesn't tell me what I want!

Fertility Friend tells me I'm 11dpo tomorrow. Do you think it's worth a try?

lardybump · 30/08/2008 17:56

Always worth a try Ses you know that.

tinkhasanacrobatic · 30/08/2008 18:19

Welcome dibdab.

Well CD16 and finally got my peak on the CBFM so will be GOF'ing GOFing and more GOF'ing

dibdabscribble · 30/08/2008 21:01

Thanks for all the welcomes! Sorry to be thick but what does GOF stand for? I've worked out what it means!!

Diege · 30/08/2008 21:19

Evening! My mum is here, so just quick hello as she is peeking over my shoulder as she walks past .
Welcome DIBDAB - you've made a good choice choosing this thread .
LARDY, hope you get a break from work soon - everything OK with DP? Feel free to offload!
Right, best go, mum wants to check tennis scores for US Open .
Speak tomorrow!
ps: eggs still holding off!!!

Diege · 30/08/2008 21:20

Oh DIBDAB - GOF is GOOD OLD FUCK

Diege · 30/08/2008 21:20

Ooh looks really rude in capitals

SesHasapinkline · 30/08/2008 21:32

Thanks 2BG. Go for it with the GOFing

Diege - hope the eggs continue to hold off. In the meantime relax and prepare yourself for..... more GOFing!!!

Just been out for dinner with DH. This really nice Malaysian place we like (as we honeymooned in Malaysia & Singapore). DH suddenly asked what I'm not allowed to eat and what my EDD is etc!

We've decided not to tell anyone just yet although did tell DH I might tell my bf if all is ok mid week. Otherwise, at the moment we're going to wait until after a successful early scan. After all my problems this year the EPU said if I got pg to just phone them direct and they'd do me a scan at about 6-7 weeks. Don't think I'll really accept it until I see a live bean on that screen.

Dalrymps · 30/08/2008 21:38

Hi everyone,

Welcome dibdab GOF = Good Old Fuck, we don't do BD here.

Nj - Sorry your having an uncomfortable time, hope the contractions ease off soon.

2Beautifulgals - Good look GOFing

Gruff - Glad you've had your first midwife appointment, it is VERY exciting isn't it!

Ses - good luck with the CB test in the morning . I used 2 tesco tests with ds and they worked well, I was 5 days late though.

Lardybump - Sorry you've been working so hard, hope you get a break soon.

Diege - Hope them little eggs hang in there!

Well, i've stuffed my face today and am now lounging on the sofa unable to move. That'll teach me to spend the day round at pils where I get fed and fed and fed! My 6mo niece was there, I was cuddling her and day dreaming about what it would be like if the next one was a little girl .

Hi to everyone i've missed, night.

dibdabscribble · 30/08/2008 21:46

Haha thanks, much prefer GOF to BD!!!

SesHasapinkline · 30/08/2008 21:50

Sounds like a good day Dal I love baby cuddles and would be great to have one of my own to cuddle!

SesHasapinkline · 30/08/2008 21:51

I agree dibdab

Dalrymps · 30/08/2008 21:52

Ses - yeah, well I have ds but he only cuddles when tired, rest of time he wriggles away to play

SesHasapinkline · 30/08/2008 21:58

It must be nice for him to have a cousin (and soon a sibling!?) of similar age. My older brother and his wife have decided not to have any children and my younger brother is a few years off babies yet! (There's 10 years between my 2 brothers!) DH has 2 brothers and 3 sisters with 8 nieces and nephews on his side but they all live in Ireland!

Dalrymps · 30/08/2008 22:08

Yes it is nice, he has a 21mo cousin too who lives just down the road, he's a real cutie too, kind of gives me an insight as to what i'm on for by the time the next one is here! He also has a 4 mo little cousin, she lives about 5hrs away by car though

SesHasapinkline · 30/08/2008 22:11

Wow! That's fab!! Lots of friends for him and lots of practice for you!

Dalrymps · 30/08/2008 22:15

Yeah . I'm very excited for you though!!! Do you realise that right now you could be growing your very own little miracle?!

SesHasapinkline · 30/08/2008 22:21

I know!!!

I sooo hope it's true and it's not going to be a chemical pregnancy or have another mc or anything... I know it's normal to worry but it doesn't stop me thinking all those worry thoughts!

Dalrymps · 30/08/2008 22:28

Well, I'm crossing all my fingers and toes for you! You're right, it is normal to worry but it doesn't matter if you do worry cause it won't affect the outcome. Equally though, getting excited won't affect the putcome either so you might as well indulge in both emotions, then if it does work out you won't have spend the first part of the pregnancy only worrying and you'll look back on it with fond memories iykwim.

I'm babbling on now, i'll shut up

SesHasapinkline · 30/08/2008 22:31

Thanks - not babbling, makes sense!

I'm going to try and get some sleep now I think so catch you tomorrow!

Dalrymps · 30/08/2008 22:39

Catch ya then x

Diege · 31/08/2008 07:52

Morning! Good luck with the CB test SES, but as others have said they're not that sensitive for early testing .
Planning to go to children's farm with dd3 today, and am ignoring the weather warnings!
Hope everyone is well xxx
