LBOT, just make sure you have lots and lots of foreplay so your body makes as much as it can, and drink lots of water and stay really hydrated - might help, won't hurt!

Tink, so sorry you didn't get to find out, hope you're not too disappointed - little minx your mini-tink.

Think I need a cup of tea.

calsworld · 29/08/2008 12:00

BTW LBOT, you do know you can get it next day from accessdiagnostics.co.uk don't you? (with a 5% discount) it would mean giving it everything you can and day after ov is sometimes not too late.

GYo · 29/08/2008 12:06

Better get a wagon tea pot then Cal!

We could get an extra large one with a nice cosy to go over it.... (ok Im slightly mad)

Tink- I cant believe that after all the antipation you have to wait longer! Glad you got to see the baby on the screen though. :-)

Hi all,

Thanks Ses - looking forward to being able to post a bit more soon. Still struggling but have only dry heaved once so far today and have managed a few small snacks, so not doing too bad. Amazing how much the nausea drains you.

Tink - sorry you didn't find out the sex, but nice to know you have an active LO

Cals - I am not a million miles away from you. Also in Midlands, near Notts.

calsworld · 29/08/2008 12:19

i don't want to be on my own i can't stop crying

GYo · 29/08/2008 12:22

Oh Cal- can your DH come home... i'd say this was as much of an emergency as it will ever be.....

OP posts:
calsworld · 29/08/2008 12:24

need to pull myself together think i'm getting hysterical

someone please talk to me

calsworld · 29/08/2008 12:25

i can't get hold of him

GYo · 29/08/2008 12:29

Dont be too harsh on yourself... I think its better to let it all out that sit and bottle it up...

Its only be 2 days - you dont need to pull yourself together yet.

Why not make mental agreement with yourself to take today as crying and letting it out day, before your w/e away?

Im no expert, but I experiecned a similar "howling" grief about 3 years ago - for a different reason- but the one thing that killed me was being alone but when i was I was able to howl and let it all out. Felt like a fool, even alone but I got so used to it that I put on music that made me cry more... I'd be doing stuff around the house whilst bawling my eyes out... Ultimately it helped me...

Sometimes it just has to come out....

I really should check spelling before hitting post. I hope you get the idea though...

lastboxoftampons · 29/08/2008 12:31

Oh, tink, we crossed posts. Can't believe that little one!!! Mischievious little boy? Or sassy little girl?

Cal I'm here. I'm so sorry. The best I can tell you is to just let it out. It doesn't matter if you're hysterical - there's no one there to see you. If it makes you feel better then do it.

Dalrymps · 29/08/2008 13:30

Tink - gad all is ok, sorry you didn't find out but you will soon enough! Enjoy the shopping.

Cal - You might be along physically but we're all here. Is there anything you can do that usually makes you feel happy? For me it would be watching old re-runs of friends, maybe you could do something like that and just sit and cry a while? Oh I don't know, i'm crap at suggestions. Wish I lived closer i'd just come round, unfortunatley i'm up in Berwick upon tweed.

Keep talking, you don't have to talk about what has happened but I think if you keep chatting to us you'll feel less alone iyswim?

Milk and one sugar for me btw.

calsworld · 29/08/2008 15:05

DH has come home and the doctor has been too. He didn't do anything but as DH pointed out, I'm not crying any more.

Thanks guys.

See you later. x

Real egg whites - yummy! Is your sickness all gone now LB? How many weeks are you? Give me hope and say 'yes'!!!

lardybump · 29/08/2008 19:31

Yep cosmo I am totally free of it now. It stopped at about 13weeks... I am 14 now... It is lovely when it happens I am like a new (FAT) woman....

SesQal · 29/08/2008 19:32

Hmmmm.....

Is there anyone about who can tell me what causes evap lines and what exactly are they.....???

lardybump · 29/08/2008 19:34

Yes it is when the wee evaporates causing a dull line in the box. It only happens with some tests not all.... And it appears well after the time limit...

SesQal · 29/08/2008 19:35

Not sure about telling you this at the moment as it may all be ny head or my body messing with me...

I had a long drive home from work today (about 1.5hrs) and spent most of it symptom spotting - lack of appetite, tender boobs, low down cramping pains etc. I persuaded myself by the end that it was all in my head. Then first thing DH said to me was "Can we have one of those?" as the awful C&G advert was on. I thought "To hell with it!" and went upstairs to do a hpt as I'd not had a wee for about 6 hrs.

The leaflet said check after 3 minutes and if nothing, leave it another minute.

After 5 minutes I could see a v v v faint line. I've tried taking photos of it to post but it is v v faint and in any case I'm not sure how to post a photo from my phone.

I haven't even told DH yet as I don't want us to start getting excited only to be let down. I'm sure I can see a v v v faint line but don't know if it could be an evap line - what is one of those???!

lardybump · 29/08/2008 19:42

Right does it have any colour to it and what test is it?
