hi yellowflowers, i'm not much help, i'm afraid as I'm a chronic symptom spotter and was gutted last month when my AF arrived !

Having loads and loads of period pains so I am assuming that AF is on the way...Had convinced myself they could be implantation pains but after todays BFN I guess the red witch is on her way.

VickyJane77 · 23/09/2008 16:15

Hi ladies, well I've had the brown discharge and period type pains on and off all day, along side tingly boobs. I think AF is on its way....at least I can have a nice glass of wine at the weekend.x

been to supermarket and bought clearblue tests even though today's first response was bfn. will try not to use until thurs.

Tinker1980 · 23/09/2008 17:48

Hi mrsmcjr, thanks for the reply. The ewcm has stopped. Having a lot of stabbing pains but I bet it is just my body preparing me for AF.

Yellowflowers Hopefully you have some good news.

funkybumps I am a chronic symptom spotter just like you. The other month I too was convinced that it was my month until the red witch. So this month I am trying not to think about the symptoms (which is quite hard) and am just putting it down to heightened pms symptoms.

twoplease · 23/09/2008 18:12

Evening -

Yellowflowers - i really feel for you - good luck and I hope thursday's testing is positive.

MrsMcjnr - thanks for thought about Vit B6 - have read a bit about it but going to do a bit more research if unlucky this cycle.

Still trying to work out when i am ovulating but trying to get in lots of BDing regardless - DH is enjoying himself

Good luck to everyone else who are hanging on in there in the 2ww.

littlemissmischief · 23/09/2008 19:43

Jools1 - Im am amazed with yur detailed symptoms!

Madmarriednika - I totally agree that every pg is different and that includes symptoms, Everyone I know has had different symptoms to me.

Yellowflowers - I feel sorry for you too hun, its so hard isnt it, try not to get to caught up and try to keep busy till thurs

Sorry if I missed anyone or got anything wrong, I have a terrible memory!

I have really sore boobs today and have started getting my hopes up again, although im really trying not to obsess this month, Just really want it to happen this month (as I know we all do) so cant help but think everything is pg related! Not sure what to do to keep mysef from getting worked up again

Jools1 · 23/09/2008 19:53

Someone posted this link for me a while ago - before I tested last week, I spent an afternoon reading through the lot

Happy symptom spotting

littlemissmischief · 23/09/2008 22:07

Can I ask another TMI question to all of those of you who have already been pg (i know i have too but cant remeber this bit) can being tender whilst BDing been a sign of being pg? Whilst doing the deed I feel very tender inside and especially at the top almost in my lower stomach if you know what I mean, and dont normally have this just wondered if anyone had this? Any help welcome

MrsMcJnr · 23/09/2008 22:15

Hey ladies lots of interesting things going on here ? goody goody

VickyJane ? hang on in there hon, it?s not over until the fat lady REALLY arrives could well be an implantation bleed I had bleeds with both MC and DS.

Waiting2exhale ? interesting! How are your temps looking? I didn?t really have any pg signs with DS, but did have some spotting. Good luck hon!!

Funkybumps ? sorry it was BFN but at 10dpo you only have a 35% chance of getting a BFP whilst on 16dpo you have an 88% chance! with DS I got BFN on 9dpo and 11dpo but then got a BFP on 14dpo! Hang on in there!!

Yellowflowers ? hang in there hon sounds good though

Jools1 ? fab detail there in your symptoms how are you feeling anyway?

Tinker ? hope you are wrong hon

Littlemissmischief - I think it?s impossible to think about anything else to be honest

Waiting2Exhale · 24/09/2008 09:20

Well ladies...morning all....

After giving my DP a good piece of my tongue...tested this morning and got a BFN.

How stupid do I feel now....

Still no real sign of AF just spotting. Now CD17 and worried as I have never had a Luteal phase this long before.....

Well...will give it another day before booking an appointment with the doc...which reminds me....with the BFN came an appointment in the post for ARGC for fertility treatment which was nice as have been told their waiting lists can range from 6 to 8 weeks. My appointment is in 3 weeks time,...yeah!!!

yellowflowers · 24/09/2008 09:45

I failed in my resolve and did a clear blue this morning - and bfn! Don't feel pregnant though, though I don't feel like I am about to start my period either. Slightly sore boobs but am maybe just cold (I have very sensitive nipples to cold) and the metallic taste has gone. Don't know what to think...

Jools1 · 24/09/2008 09:50

Yellowflowers and WaitingtoExhale - I really feel for both of you at the moment

I know when AF was late for me on a couple of cycles, I got excited and tested. I'm sure in those cases my body HAD been playing tricks but seeing the BFN made my body stop playing games and let AF start.

That is obviously not the case for you - good sign or not, who knows. Keeping everything crossed for you anyway

funkybumps · 24/09/2008 10:05

hi ladies, sorry to hear about your BFN's yellowflowers and waitingtoexhale

Jools1, that link is fab and perfect for an obsessed symptom spotter such as myself to thrive on.

Well, AF is due either Fri or Sat so I have decided to wait and see if it arrives before wasting anymore tests.

Wishing · 24/09/2008 10:09

yellowflowers · 24/09/2008 10:41

oh - think it started - spotting!

LollysMum1 · 24/09/2008 12:10

Hi, I feel like I'm jumping in quite late here - but here goes anyway. I had a miscarriage just over 8 wks ago and after bleeding for 3 wks (no ERPC or anything) I had some v light spotting 4 wks after it all started. Wasn't sure if that was my body's attempt at a period, but if it was AF was due Sun/Mon just gone. No sign and I have had pregnancy symptoms in the last 10 days or so - most notably feeling nauseous on and off and being constipated - so much so that i had to go to the doc this AM about it. His view was that its likely I am pregnant but being rather pathetic I'm scared to do the test!! Even more frustrating because I don't know if my body is back to normal and not sure if AF was even due a few days ago. Anyway, enjoying the symptom spotting and hoping I'm not imagining it!!

LollysMum1 · 24/09/2008 12:19

Me again, just pulled myself together and did a test. There was the faintest of faint lines - how faint can it be and still be BFP??!!

madmarriedNika · 24/09/2008 12:23

Most faint lines are BFPs!! how soon did it appear? You can get an evaporation line but that usually wouldn't appear until about ten mins or so after doing the test...
I know quite a few friends who had very faint lines, were convinced it couldn't be a BFP, then a few days later tested again and got a strong line. Really hope that's the case for you...Maybe try again tomorrow with first morning wee, where the hormone's most concentrated.

I have a friend who was in a very similar situation too, early miscarriage, after bleeding finally stopped she had a "period" but not like her usual AF- then was pregnant the next month. Apparently your fertility is heightened after a MC.

I am so sorry though you had to go through a MC. Really hoping you get a strong BFP soon!

LollysMum1 · 24/09/2008 13:11

Thank you Nika - I hope you're right. The line appeared after about 2-3 mins. I will test again tomorrow and cross everything in the meantime. Feeling sick and grotty at the moment but happy to feel this way if that's the reason why!!

VickyJane77 · 24/09/2008 14:21

Wow, there seems to be a few faint BFP's coming in, I hope they turn into strong BFP lines over the next few days.
After my spotting and cramps yesterday, I've had nothing today, so my hopes are picking up a little. I really want to do a test, but I'll try and hold out til Saturday, I can't wait to use the freebie from Clearblue x
What is the earliest to do a test, I'm currently on CD27 of a 31 day cycle, and DPO 12?
