Evening all, apologies (again) for absence, trying to have one of those cycles where I 'really don't care' whether it happens or not this month (yeah right!) and just consoling myself that with a 2 bedroom house and the state of the housing market, i would be better off with one DC!!

Should be OV now as i have a short cycle, am not too convinced its happening so am going to have to consider how i go about extending the bit after ovulation as i think that is why i'm not getting pregnant. Going to monitor for a few more cycles and see what happens. Anyone else have short cycles?

No idea whether I've OV or not - CD 20ish - but have had a rotten bug over the last few days so not much BD going on anyway.

Hello all - I confess I'm lurking just now. (sadly!) I recognise a lot of names from the May thread last month. This month I'm trying to be all cool about the whole thing same as twoplease. Pretending to myself that I don't care. Haha, think i'm trying to fool my own body. How crazy does that make me sound?

For that reason, I've not started posting on here, added myself to the list etc but I prob will do when I get to the 2ww. Due to last month's af turning up 6 (yes six!!!!) whole days late, I'm only on CD14.

I usually have a 30 day cycle with a 35 day one every so often. Today is cd 33 so could just be one of the longer cycles. have metal taste but could be hangover (yes, not best idea when trying to conceive but was special occasion). Have sore boobs which hurt when I sneezed! No spotting yet but also bfn on test. grrrr - hate this!

MamaMimi ? to be honest, I don?t know why my software has predicted next Sat for AF as that would be 14dpo and unless I am pg, I don?t usually get past 10 or 11 so we?ll see. I?m not holding out much hope either but it would be nice in a way to have AF and start afresh!

Welcome Tinker I had problems seeing your chart but I?d say 36.4 was fine for a post ov temp (at least it?s quite normal for me post ov but pre ov I rarely hit 36.0) you can get EWCM due to hormones but I don?t think it?s a sign either way I?m afraid.

Twoplease ? my usual cycle length is 28 days but I generally ov on cd16/18 so my LP is on the short side. Before I got pg with DS it was sometimes shorter than 10 days so I took vit b6 to help lengthen it and it seemed to work

Hi, I'm now on CD26, been having tinkly sore boobs and feeling very tired in the afternoons, so was getting my hopes up (silly I know), then had some brown spotting this morning aarrggh! It's so frustrating!

Hi ladies....havn't posted in a while as have been sitting around waiting for AF to arrive.....however...suprisingly she hasn't.

Am 16DPO at the mo and have had a couple of days spotting but nothing else really. Absolutely no preg symptoms....Hmmmm .

Sitting here thinking whether I should bother to test or wait until tomorrow which would definitely be a positive sign for me as I have never reached 17DPO in all the time I've been temping (which is about a yr now) and I would be able to us FMU.

Has anyone out there had no preg symptoms but period type pain and then spotting before getting a BFP...please send me your symptoms if similar...desperate to gain some perspective on this...will be sat right here waiting.

vickyjane... how long are your cycles normally as brown spotting can indicate implantation bleeds aswell ?

Well I caved and did an ebay cheapie test and suprise suprise it was a BFN !! What would be the chances of it picking up at 9 / 10dpo ? Not sure of my exact OV day but due my AF on Friday/Saturday so presumed if I was PG then it would be picking something up by now.

Was sure I was pregnant this month cos my boobs are really sore, and having loads of CM ( sorry if TMI ) which at this point in my cycle is normally non existant. I also had period pains all over the weekend which I was hoping could have been implantation pains ?!!

Really got to get another hobby instead of this constant obsessing as I just keep working myself up and then being gutted when the red witch arrives

My cycle is normally 31 days, so 5 days to go. Could it be implantation bleeding then? There really is not much there at the moment.
I remember when I was pregnant with my first I had light spotiing which I thought was my period. I didn't have any spotting with my second pregnancy, which ended in a MC, so I just don't know what to think, I'll find out soon enough.x

hi waitingtoexhale...have you got any tests ? I can't believe how good you're being. I definately would have tested by now.
As for your question, before I found out I was pregnant with DD I had period pains that felt exactly like my AF was about to start and had brown spotting for a couple of days. Doc explained this happens when the fertilized egg is attaching itself to the lining so both really good signs to be having !!

I have absence of signs really - no twinges, no excess cm.

But no AF.

Sore boobs but not all the time. Dry mouth but this could be beginning of a cold.

Am pretty sure not pregnant.

Did have second wave of ewcm on day 34 though which could mean I ovulated later than I thought in which case maybe period not due until Fri/Sat? Hate waiting...

yes I agree YF, the worst part is the waiting which if you read my earlier post you will see I am hopeless at and caved earlier and tested anyway. Don't know what I was trying to achieve really but had some tests in the house so thought it wouldn't do any harm ! All it's actually done is mananged to make me thoroughly fed up at getting a BFN !!

whilst waiting for a response did sneak upstairs with the intention of testing..... However, it would appear my DP knows me far too well...I can't find any tests and bar going down the shops right now...it won't be pos to test until he gets home.... .

Will have strong words with him when he gets home....am not a child.......probably really annoyed as just got my hopes up to test and now can't find the bloody things...

In case it helps, here are my symptoms - quite detailed, but don't forget a lot of these you only recognise in hindsight and I think everything up to 8DPO could have been easily missed

CD 15 - OV Pains in PM, BD
CD16 - OV Pains in AM
1DPO, nose started suddenly running like a wide open tap (sorry if TMI !) for around 15 mins. I wonder now if that was sperm meeting egg ?

5DPO - Unusually gassy. Normal post ov boob pains

6DPO - Tiny smear of red blood on paper first thing, then a little bit more in the afternoon.

8DPO - In the afternoon, nipples suddenly got really hot and a bit tingly - stayed that way for a few hours. Noticed a tiny amount of creamy yellow CM that evening

10DPO - Starting getting mild cramps - like a poking sensation near my belly button. Boobs bigger and more tender than usual post OV I think, but difficult to tell for sure

11DPO - Poking sensation continued for a few hours. In the afternoon, nipples suddenly felt really wierd - fizzy / tingly for a few minutes. It was so strange, I thought everyone in the meeting would be able to see something

12DPO - Watery, brown tinged CM first thing in the morning - looked different to pre-AF - more watery. AF like cramps for under an hour. Loads and loads of BM's

13DPO, CD29 - brownish CM in the morning. BFP that afternoon

18DPO - soreness of boobs reaching new heights ! Tested again, just to make sure I'm not making it all up

Arrh Jools thanks for that...don't quite have that many symptoms (or any at all to be honest) but will wait now until tomorrow to test as there is nothing I hate hearing more than...just tested and got a BFN and AF arrived 1min later.,....just as well really that I have come to this decision as DP has hidden the tests anyway

lol waitingtoexhale, crafty Dh you have there Oh well, at least if you wait until tomorrow morning you will get a stronger line if pg as you will have a higher concentration of the preg hormone. ( Trying to look on the bright side, feel free to tell me to shut up if you want to )

Jools1, I am seriously impressed with those detailed preg symptoms. Was frantically symptom spotting against yours but only really got the runny nose which is probbly more due to the fact that I am freezing at the moment as I am far too engrossed in Mn to go and turn the heating on

With my first pregnancy I got no symptoms at all. We weren't really trying hard just kind of no longer using contraception and seeing what happened...so didn't time anything! I just woke up one morning and realised my AF was 2 days overdue. Cycled 5 miles into town for an optician's appt and decided to stop by Boots for a test. Cycled to work, did test in loo and lo-&-behold I was pregnant!! At about 6-7 weeks pregnant my boobs grew to huge proportions and became very tender, and I had some fairly mild nausea- but earlier than this I truely had no symptoms. Tiredness kicked in big time from 8 wks.

2nd pregnancy was very different. Had some brown spotting a day before AF was due so thought it was coming earlier- but then nothing- waiting for 2 more days then did test-BFP Nausea, sore, huge boobs & tiredness kicked in at 6-7 weeks- nausea far worse this time which really knocked me. Had more spotting at 8 weeks which scared me as had none before with #1.
Each pregnancy seems to be so different!

So the message is, as usual, try not to symptom spot too much!!!
With both pregnancies I had pretty bad tummy cramps but I do find these so hard to discern from AF pains, and I think they started about 2 days before AF was due, which is exactly the same as when AF is coming- so not much help Except of course they end up carrying on for longer!!

Got a while to wait before testing this month, and determined this time to wait until day after AF's due- which'll CD29 for me- as want to save some money on tests- but I bet I don't wait that long!!!
