Morning all - busy little thread last night

I stayed away with work in my favourite hotel - makes work feel more like a mini-break than work, it is that nice - a little, enormously friendly, country house hotel in the middle of nowhere - beautifully quiet and fabulous food. I was good and had fresh fruit salad this morning, with lashings of fresh grapefruit of course [wink}

Looks like the GF is working and am starting to notice a little EWCM, so tonight will be busy !!!

Wanabemum - patience has never been my strong point so I know what you mean ! - this is my 3rd month TTC, and probably the first in which I've had a real idea of fertility signs etc, so I'm feeling positive

yellowflowers · 29/08/2008 08:53

i'm hoping to make a baby this weekend. dh has been ill but he feels better now. have lots of very wet cm though not ewcm yet (tmi?)

nelix2000 · 29/08/2008 10:08

Hi ladies,

Looks like sparky will be first! eek! very exciting, wouldn't it be lovely to transform this thread into a 'we are due in may'thread! the pregnant gang. Lets hope do for all of us hey.

I still don't have EWCM yet, have had a bit of CM so have kept busy (although not since tues night!) must grab DH tonight!

So nelix we are in the same boat! 18 months is a lovely age but it can be testing huh, my DD is full of chatter (most of which we dont understand!) and she is going through a real clingy stage which is quite tough (but very cute too)

jools your hotel sounds lovely! do you get to go there often?

WanabeMum · 29/08/2008 13:42

Ooh heeby that sounds like a plan. the "Due in May" thread!! Fingers crossed for us all.

Yea jools your hotel does sound lovely, i'd love a country retreat paid for by work!! Fabulous.

Oh an yellow i'm hoping to make a baby this week/weekend too, the only problem is me and DH are like ships that pass in the night at the moment. He's working tomorrow morning and I'm afternoons, he's working Sunday morning and I'm out Sunday with the girls. Oh dear! Better allocate some "us" time, how romantic!

Heebychick · 29/08/2008 13:57

Oh dear wannabe get your diaries out now girl!

Well my DD has had a very long morning nap, 2 hours already and i'm wondering if she's going to fit lunch in at this rate!

I'm off for that coffee (whats the betting she wakes up now, tee hee )x

SparkyMalarky · 29/08/2008 18:30

Ooooh I hope I bring lots of baby dust otherwise, I'll be the first on a 'june babies are lovely too' thread!!

Jools1 · 29/08/2008 21:36

Gaaaahhh - feels like I am having OV pain now - on CD9 !! Hope I am wrong, otherwise I've missed the boat on this month Will get busy tonight, just in case

Heeby -for a while, I was staying in that hotel for one night every week Haven't been there for a few weeks, but it looks like it might be once a fortnight from now on - so relaxing, a real tonic for a busy work day

funtimewincies · 30/08/2008 12:47

Hi all. I'm off on hols now for a week in the Lake District, so I want to see some lovely BFPs when I get back .

Keep that grapefruit juice flowing!

Heebychick · 30/08/2008 14:15

Hope you have a lovely time funtime we hope you find some Lake District baby dust to share when you gt back!

jools are you sure? did you have EWCM? when did you last BD? we were BDing on Tues and haven't since!!! (both of us not well or tired) and by recent dates i should of OV'd on Thursday or Friday .... but i had the EWCM yesterday so might be today even. ARGH, so will get busy tonight too but think i've missed the boat

If in fact i am OVing seeing as i have the OVing pain constantly on my right side now hence the scan, so might not even be OVing at all!

How is everyone else?

Jools1 · 30/08/2008 15:44

Have a lovely holiday Funtime

Heeby- I'm not sure at all, as I got the same pain 2 evenings running - very like OV pain, but that only ever happens once, for an hour or two ... Hoping not, as had not managed any BD'ing till last night !

Last cycle, I OV'ed on CD16,and I think CD14 or 15 the one before, so CD9 would be really unusually early ...

I shall just keep BD'ing and hope OV happens later No chance of any activity tonight though - we have friends over and it is asmall house, so i'd be too embarrassed !

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine

Heebychick · 30/08/2008 18:30

Oh no! can you not squeeze in a quickie in the bathroom or something before they arrive? having the pain for longer is weird, could it be just an ovary thing? and not OVing? seems way too early doesn't it. I used to get that pain for an hour or so like you, but this time i've had the pains for weeks which is why my Dr thinks it's a cyst, the pain gets worse as the days go by so not sure if i am OVing even.

Anyone else have a clingy toddler to deal with aswell? argh!! separation anxiety is the best huh!

Still wine is poured and x factor is on later ... bliss (heeby is sad it's official)

x

SparkyMalarky · 30/08/2008 19:50

Why is it that you seem to have the least BD when you most need it?! Sods' law?!

Heeby I'm not allowed to watch the X factor otherwise I would be addicted

Have no symptoms to spot at all this month. Thought my (.)(.) were looking bigger, but I think it was a good bra!! How's everyone else?

deanychip · 30/08/2008 19:55

WanabeMum · 31/08/2008 11:50

Hey everyone! despite our hectic calendar yesterday we still managed some BDing (TMI!) so still on track for every day this cycle! (don't want to leave anything to chance). It's weird but I've been having mini period pains for the last 2 days although nothing today, but AF not due until at least a week monday
Any ideas? or am i just weird?

Hey deanychip sounds hopeful for you! am keeping all my fingers crossed for you. Keep us updated!

And as for the X factor, im totally hooked too!! although why are all the embarrassing ones Welsh??!!! (im welsh so very embarrassing) I missed last nights so it's ITV2 for me tonight, woo hoo! Officially in the sad fan group! the auditions are the funniest part though.

Will check back in later, going to start some lunch for when DH gets in, how house wifey is that? lol
Bye xx

Heebychick · 31/08/2008 16:29

Hi all,

wannabe if it makes you feel better i too was being all housewifey today, my DH went out this morning so i tidied up and got lunch on for when he got back, he was very wet and muddy so i washed his clothes and made him a nice cuppa after his shower (halo suitably polished now) can't you tell i'm happy after grabbing him yet again last nite despite the 'i'm too tired malarky' .... gosh it's sounds like mh DH never wants to ... that's not true of course, just bad timing this week!

But hey you go girl, every night !!! i'm not sure i could have your stamina girl! well done!. Do you think maybe your pains could be the start of something?? eek?!

I keep thinking that soon we'll all be at THAT time and holding hands tightly. Scary but exciting.

nelix how was te car boot, did you get the rain? we live on the south coast and it is like autumn now!

sparky shame you can't watch the embarrasment that is xfactor, we are sadly addicts and almost plan our DD's day around getting her to bed on time so we can get downstairs to watch it! god how awful. (mental note - must get out more)

I got one of those CB freebees through and yes it's supposed to tell you how many weeks you are, will try it when (if) i feel confident enough to use one.

Hi deeny add yourself to our list if you can, looks like you and sparky are our first ones to test! GOOD LUCK.

xxx

Heebychick · 31/08/2008 16:30

ps thought i'd add the list, it's all too close now. Does anyone else sometimes wish the first 2 weeks would last longer so you don't have the impending disappointment? no must be positive.....

AbstractMouse, CD5 AF due ??
MakingaFamily, CD14, AF due ??
Deanychip??

Sparky, AF due 5 Sep
MyLittleBubble, AF due 10th Sept?
Heebychick, AF due 10th Sept
Funtime, AF due 13 Sep
Jools1, AF due 17/18 Sept
Yellowflowers, AF due 19/20 Sept
Nelix AF due 16 sep (ish)

WanabeMum · 31/08/2008 18:05

Hey Heeby, im not sure because im only on CD19!! hope not AF but wouldn't suprise me as my cycles have been very erratic lately.
I'm impressed that you even have your DD's routine sorted so X factor isn't interrupted, impressive!!
We have the in-law's down this evening so best behaviour on our part, and no-one knows we are "tryin" so having to keep shtum! Although my dear mum-in-law is very insistive that she has a grandchild soon, no pressure! sometimes feel like telling her just to shut her up (in a nice way) but i'd never hear the end of it then and can do without the added stress.

I can't add myself to the list unfortunately as im not sure when my AF is due as it's sometime between the 8th and 14th September! plenty of scope for nervously waiting i see! oh well, what will be will be i guess.

Better go help DH prepare for the visit.
Bye all xxx

SparkyMalarky · 31/08/2008 18:21

really only 5 days to testing? ! deanychip, when are you planning on doing it?

Must be a housewifey day today...I did some baking

wanabe inlaw's can be so 'helpful' sometimes can't they Actually, mine are pretty good, but there are times I have to bite my tongue!!

makingafamily · 31/08/2008 18:33

Evening ladies. Hope you've all had fab weekends

Wanabe I'm CD19 too, so looks like we might be on the 2WW together although am pretty sure i havent ovulated yet this month as my cycles all over the place at the mo

nelix2000 · 31/08/2008 20:02

hey everyone!
heeby yes we got rained off at eh car boot but got some yummies at the farmers market!....
I am on CD16 ovulation is iminant judging by my CM I am definately in my fertile phase and waiting for the 24 hour window I get when I am at my most fertile which I guestimate tomorrow so may be doing insem then.....feeling v relaxed this month compared to last, its all in the timing I guess!
