HI all,

Am thinking of temping next month if not successful this month. Just at cd13 and waiting for +ive on OPK but have held back on on temping because have found the clomid has made mybody temp go all over the place.

Does anyone know if the clomid would make temping erratic or if i can still do it

VillageMum · 22/10/2008 14:31

yellowflowers - I think it depends on what's normal for you. My pattern is temps of around 36.4 to 36.6 before OV and then rising suddenly up to 36.9 or 37.0 after. Every woman has a different 'coverline' (point that has to be crossed to indicate successive temp rise) - the main thing is the pattern.
When will you be able to do a hpt test, by the way? Is it soon? Fingers crossed!

Heeby, Cindy and all the other lovely ladies who gave me comfort when I was going nuts on Monday - I'm now focusing on making this a 'getting stronger for pg' cycle; have been swimming again for the first time since my mc and hope to get fit again before ttc at the end of November!

VillageMum · 22/10/2008 14:37

pinkie08 as far as I know you can still do BBT while on Clomid, but maybe someone else knows for sure?

Jools1 · 22/10/2008 14:52

Just a warning for any of you using Fertility Friend - they have this bit for VIP members that analyses the signs you have input and gives you points out of 100 for early pregnancy signs.

I didn't temp, which probably meant my points score would be lower anyway, but even putting in all the symptoms I spotted, I only had 17 points out of 100 for a sucessful month.

I guess what I'm saying is don't be disheartened by a low score there

smileycat · 22/10/2008 15:58

I'm still using the free VIP bit but it runs out in another 5 days, is it worth paying out to keep it or is the free basic stuff enough do you think?

yellowflowers · 22/10/2008 15:59

Hi villagemum - I don't think I can reasonably do a test until Mon as today may be either 25 or 27 of a 30 (but sometimes 35) day cycle. I don't know because the bleed last period was funny so not sure when to start it from.

VillageMum · 22/10/2008 18:20

Hi yellowflowers - sounds as if Monday would be a reasonable time to test - not too much longer to wait... hope this is your month!

yellowflowers · 22/10/2008 19:59

Am I allowed to be on the verge of tears that another friend has just announced his wife is pregnant? That's three pregnant friends at the moment and two with new babies. Am pleased for them obviously, but when will it be our turn? This recent one didn't even want children they said. I want to cry.

pinkie08 · 22/10/2008 20:14

Hi yellowflowers

It is really hard but you have to remember it will be your turn - it could still be this month. Just think your temp result was good and Monday not a long way off. Dont cry it will be fine

Lots of baby dust to you xx

yellowflowers · 22/10/2008 20:32

thanks pinkie - had major cry on dh just now who is very understanding. We are broke too and I think if we had some cash we could say let's make the most of having no kids and do some cool holidays etc but we can't even do that. But still hope for this month...
x

Heebychick · 22/10/2008 22:00

Hi ladies,

yellowflowers i totally feel for you, my SIL announced (on the week my AF came last month!) that they are expecting, she announced it by texting a pic of her scan - nice - and then went on to say that it was a 'happy accident' which hurt me so much, we have been trying so hard to focus on getting that BFP and then other people seem to just get one easily. It's unfair but then it kind of made me feel more determined this month. I feel very sad for you honey and hope that you can feel a bit stronger and like the other ladies said, it still could be your month so don't give up hope, we are all here for you xx

smiley thanks so much for the info, i will def try the cervix and temp charting next month if this one is no good, i felt my cervix when i was checking for cm and it was hard to find! so that might mean it's high? but i'm really not sure so will start next month. Good luck tonight! there's no way i'll get my DH into bed so will have to hope we got it right this month!

Lots of hugs to you all ((((()))))

xx

Heebychick · 22/10/2008 22:01

ps hi sarahpea!! i haven't used one but wanted to say Hi, come join us anytime xx

smileycat · 23/10/2008 07:51

Hi heeby I'm so confused this morning I was expecting my temp to rise as all the signs pointed to OVing over the last couple of days yesterday it was 36.3 this morning its only 36.33. I thought my cervix was high but this morn its now out of reach but with no CM which has be EWCM for last 3 days. It looks like if I do OV its later than I thought & I pushed DH into bed last night so I don't think he'll be up for it tonight. I hate all this guess work why can't we be like most females in this world & come on heat, bloody animals have it easy, fingers crossed that DH has swimmers that can wait it out
yellow big hug to you hunny your time will come, it seems everywhere I look I see prams & bumps but thats only because I'm looking now they have probably been there all along its just I'm taking more notice now

yellowflowers · 23/10/2008 08:17

thanks both. Thing is, I just know that I am not pregnant this month. (Though last month I just knew I was and guess what, not pregnant)

Heebychick · 23/10/2008 09:21

smiley i'm not very good with temps (maybe the other ladies can help out here?) but didn't you have some CM previously? could it be that you have already OV'd over the last few days? i hardly had any CM let alone EWCM after that small amount on monday so just hoped that we got it right too. Mind you i went to the loo last night as i was getting ready for bed (DH happily reading on his nite off) and noticed a ton of EWCM which totally threw me ... so of course i then spent the next half hour convincing DH again! So i'm not sure when i OV'd at all now, nelix didn't you have some more EWCM after you OV'd? Don't lose hope honey, you have been very thorough and really it has to be right time no? how many days till AF is due?

yellow you never know honey, one things for sure it will happen, whether its this month or next month, it will happen. And as much as it's awful, there will always be ladies to take the walk with you, be sad with you and rejoice with you. Fear not honey xx

VillageMum · 23/10/2008 10:39

Yellowflowers, I so know what you mean about the anguish of hearing about other women's pgs; I feel it too, and have become irrationally afraid of anyone I know announcing one - in fact I keep expecting that will be the next piece of news whenever I get a text, etc! As Heeby says, our time will come!

Heeby, I've sometimes had EWCM a few days after ovulating. Maybe old EWCM making the descent? (Or could it be, ahem, the residue of BDing coming down? Looks very similar to EWCM!)

Still thinking about this cycle as a 'getting stronger for pg and getting my head together' cycle and sticking to the decision not to ttc yet... roll on the end of November when we can start! Ladies, please reassure me!

yellowflowers · 23/10/2008 10:47

my temp was down a bit today - 36.60. Have no idea what this means however.

C1NDY · 23/10/2008 11:10

VilliageMum I should try and get fit too, exercise will make me feel much better but its finding the time! I will be here in November again too, trying again as I think I have missed the opportunity this month sighs but am looking forward to November may it roll on...

YellowFlowers I know what you mean. Pg people seem to be everywhere never noticed so many before!!

Sorry if I have missed any conversation, am reeally busy at work.. so only have a chance to logon once a day... goush that sucks! speak to you all soon .. Baby dust to all...

VillageMum · 23/10/2008 12:19

Cindy, yes, roll on November... if you're still trying then, let's keep each other company (and all the other ladies too!)... though I have a feeling Heeby will be on an antenatal thread by then!

WanabeMum · 23/10/2008 12:35

Hey ladies,
Haven't posted in a while.

yellow don't give up hope honey, it could still be you as our next BFP (followed closely by Heeby!!) It is aweful as all of my friends are popping out babies wherever i look and last month i was almost convinced that i was too. Keep your chin up!

Villagemum keep your positivity about getting ready to pg as it will help you immensly. How strong you are!

Jools thanks for the heads up on fertility friend, started using it briefly but gave up as was too much information to fnd for me. Plus didn't think it helped me with my obsessive behaviour!

Anyway, i'm popping off home early now. Still only CD9 so not quite at the BD stage and DH announced last night that tomorrow he has booked to go in for a fertility test as he is now convinced it is his swimmers stopping the BFP arriving. Oh dear
TTFN xxxxxxxxxx

VillageMum · 23/10/2008 15:23

Thanks Wanabemum - I don't feel strong, just like a basket case! Am thinking positive conception thoughts for the end of November, though... Know what you mean about the obsessive behaviour; it's one of the things I want to address this cycle - not to get so fixated on ttc and to get my life back...

wasabipeanut · 23/10/2008 17:44

Oh yellow I think we all can understand you feeling a bit churned up when people annouce their "happy accidents".

I am getting a bit of karma back here I think because ds whilst not an accident was concieved on honeymoon before we officially were going to start trying (I had just come off the pill a couple of months in advance). Whilst I have always known how lucky I was I don't think I really appreciated the emotional difficulty of months of trying but not getting anywhere.

I do now.

Heebychick · 23/10/2008 18:44

wasabi i totally am with you, we're the same. DD concieved first time, i never knew anything about ovulation, CM, Cervix position, cycles etc like i do now.

Never again will i be dismissive of my luck first time around.

So yes i echo what you are saying 100%

Heebychick · 23/10/2008 20:04

by the way, i couldn't believe it today! Had lots of stretchy CM and slight pains in my tummy! i am on CD15 of a 26 day cycle so am sure it's no OV but was a bit shocked to see it! TBH it could of been from last nite (like villagemum says - yuk!) is that normally stretchy tho?

Hmm anyhow we'll see!

funtimewincies · 23/10/2008 20:32

Just to say that I've started an antenatal thread for those due summer sprogs. I don't mean to be insensitive, just optomistic for lots more bfps over the next couple of months!

Good luck, pleased to see that there is lots of EWCM sloshing around .
