Hi ladies.

Congrats to all new bfp's. Hope that the little beans stick.

Some bad news from me. I started some spotting yesterday afternoon which has contined. Went for a scan this morning and pregnancy is no longer .

Feel quite drained and obviously disappointed but not devistated as I know all along that something was not quite right, We are looking at the positive side of what has been such a emotionally draining week (at the same time having reletives staying), and feel like this is a good sign as we did actually get pregnant and all the 'bits' are working. Although one of my overies did look slightly polycystic but not enopugh so to be concerned.

We have been given the backing by the consultant to continue with our fertility investigations that were supposed to happen this month! I was worried that if I told the gp I had concieved that these would be cancelled.

I am really glad that I now know exactly what has happened and not in limbo anymore. we are really looking forward to getting back to normal and starting again!!! Thanks for all the messages of support!!!

Good luck to everyone this month!!!!!!!!!!!!!

VillageMum · 20/10/2008 15:17

LovelyMonster, I'm so sorry to read what's happened - this puts all my worries into perspective! You sound so positive and strong - you're a real inspiration. ((Hugs))

Heebychick · 20/10/2008 21:44

Hi ladies,

Lovelymonster i feel very sad for you, what an awful time for you both. Like you say maybe it is a blessing in a way to know that everything is working and at least you will keep moving forward with your fertility investigations so that will be encouraging. Lots of ((((hugs))) to you honey.

village hi honey, i'm sorry you are feeling blue, if it helps i felt the same, we had an early MC then tried almost straight away but little did i know that i had a cyst forming which made me feel terible and messed up my cycles ( as well as giving me awful symptoms - the other ladies will testify how terrible i was!!) and i had lots of wobbles, one day i would be all for it the next i'd want to give up and stick with our DD. It's a confsing time and i think you have to try and take things as they come for a while, follow your heart and do what feels right. Don't think about the wedding, you can't plan your life around it, and giving birth might take your mind off it (and upstage his wedding!!)

nelix thank you, i took your advice and pounced! will up the stores tomorrow too then might have to give him a rest as he's quite poorly and tired, poor thing!

Heebychick · 20/10/2008 21:46

ps C1NDY nelix is the one to answer your question on CM, i didn't have much and when i concieved in May i didn't have hardly anything but it still worked. I think if you think it's the right time then go for it and keep the reserves up in case the CM doesn't keep the lil swimmers fed well!

Off to bed now ladies, will check in again tomorrow. lots of luck and sweet dreams xx

Heebychick · 20/10/2008 21:48

pps - i forgot to say i have a bit more pain tonight just after BDing!!! perfect timing i hope!!!

VillageMum · 20/10/2008 22:17

Oh Heeby thanks for this lovely message - you make me feel nearly sane again! I'm so glad (if you know what I mean) that I'm not the only one who has had these wobbles - wouldn't wish them on anyone else but it's reassuring to know I'm not alone! You're right: I can't plan my life around that wedding, and ten to one even if I did get pg this cycle the baby wouldn't arrive on time either (ds was 3 weeks early!) My main worry is needing/wanting to be available for ds if he suddenly threw a wobbly about going next year - but I guess the actual stress will come earlier, in negotiating that between him and my ex. And by the time the damn wedding came around, giving birth might actually be a welcome diversion, as you say... I should actually just be bloody thankful if I do get pg again and have a successful pregnancy, TBH! Will try to think of it that way! Thanks a million again. Holding thumbs for you...

VillageMum · 21/10/2008 00:07

Heeby, just a postscript - DH and I had a fantastic talk tonight about the whole issue and I now really feel that the pressure to ttc immediately is off. Didn't realise how much pressure I'd been putting on myself, TBH. Think I may take this cycle to sort my head out and get some of my old, less neurotic self back! But either way I feel better about it, so thanks for giving me the space to vent; it's made SUCH a difference. x

wasabipeanut · 21/10/2008 08:03

Well hello everybody and congratulations Funtime!!! at lovely news. I haven't has much to report in the last few days apart from what appears to be a never ending AF (CD7 today) so was really happy to see that.

Jools is right this thread has a distinctly positive vibe at the mo. Welcome to villagemum and whitebeaches (although *whitebeaches it sounds like you may be a brief visitor ). You'll find this is a very good home if you are having ups and downs. It sounds like you have a lovely dh and have resolved any wobbles for the time being!

lovelymonster I am sorry to hear you have been put through the wringer. I can only hope things progress more happily for you.

Well I had a really vivid dream this morning that at test I did came up BFP so I have a feeling that this is our month. I have got much more of a grip on my cycle now so will be leaping on dh soon!

Will update list with my dates also.

Virtual babydust to all x

villagemum keep smiling at least now you have things sorted in your head for the direction you want to go, thats half the battle won already & you never no if your not in the 'zone' & not trying this month you may find it takes the pressure off your body & you could conceive without even knowing it
lovelymoster big hugs to you
Heeby my temp dropped 0.3 this morning but looking at other graphs on FF it looks like its supose to do that just before you get your temp rise to show you have OV'd. Still getting the CM & DH is still up for tring again tonight just incase I haven't OV'd yet, I hope it doesn't go on till next Monday otherwise I think DH might not be so 'up for it' by then plus we have guests arriving Sat eve & ds will be in our room till Thurs

Jools1 · 21/10/2008 09:02

Really sorry to hear your news LovelyMonster If it helps, the same thing happened to me on cycle 1 and look what happened on cycle 3 !! I'm told you are more fertile just after a CP

Heeby - on my successful cycle, I had ov pain across 2 days for the first time EVER and BD'ed in between

C1NDY · 21/10/2008 09:11

VilliageMum it seems you have found the answer, its best to sometimes take time out and reflect on what really matters. I am sure when you are ready that you will feel much more positive in getting pg's.

LovelyMonster sorry to hear your news and big hugs to you in this difficult time

Heebychick · 21/10/2008 09:36

Hi ladies,
jools thanks for that, it really sounds like i've given it the best chance possible now, it's so reassuring to chat to you ladies! - and just to give you a nice (!) picture i was cycling my legs in the air for 20 minutes afterwards just to help those lil swimmers! nice huh.

villagemum i'm so pleased for you, it's wonderful that you have had chance to have a good heart to heart with your DH, my DH acted quite cold for a while and it was only when we talked it through that i found out actually he was feeling just as blue as me and had taken the whole thing quite badly, i was thinking about myself and didn't think about his feelings as much. So now we are a great team and very positive, i'm glad you are too.

smiley yes good idea to keep going, we will too tonight, i didn't get much CM TBH but had some pains last nite and a few more this morning. Then it's a nice 2 week wait for us huh! the worst bit!

wasabi i hope your dream was good luck! i had a dream about a black horse and trying to find a stable for it on Sunday nite and horses are meant to be good luck i think! so lets hope all our positive vibes will seep through to our tummies hey!

VillageMum · 21/10/2008 09:40

Thanks wasabipeanut, smileycat, Cindy - I'm just going to try to take this month as it comes and will try not to be too much of a basket case on here! This is such a supportive thread and I'm really grateful to you all. x
Jools, many congrats and hoping I'll have the same luck as you in the next cycle!

VillageMum · 21/10/2008 09:47

Heeby, our posts just crossed - thanks to you for being there too! I really hope all your hard work in the last few days pays off! I think the experience of mc can be a test of a relationship in some ways. My DH is lovely and always trying to help; what we've both had to realise is that maybe not trying to 'fix' things so desperately this month might be a better way forward... Anyway I really, really hope this is your month! Now for the two week wait?

Jools1 · 21/10/2008 09:55

Talking of dreams - I dreamt I gave birth to twins last night - but they were Siamese cats !! I think one was running round the house and I couldn't catch it to breast feed or something - loads of traumas and tears - very bizarre

I do have two siamese cats and have lots of breeder friends, but still - wierd !!

funtimewincies · 21/10/2008 10:20

Just catching up on the news. Sorry to hear that it wasn't to be lovelymonster (hugs and chocolate are insufficient, I know, but passes them anyway .)

I feel that the next months are going to be packed with bfps galore, so that it's not so cold getting up in the night (ds is a December baby, brrr when breastfeeding at 2am!)

Off to my first mw appointment, it might seem more real after that, might be brave enough to start an entenatal thread or would that just be jinxing it ?

simpletwistoffate · 21/10/2008 11:08

lovelymonster hope you are doing ok. Sorry to hear your wait continues.

villagemum, hope you have a stress free month. I got so wound up last month, and got so upset and disappointed when af arrived. This month, I really just tried to focus on it being a "practice" month.

heeby I did my cheapie opk's, but didn't stress about it hardly at all. However, I did find that I didn't ovulate til 4 days after I thought I had... I hadn't used opk's before, so maybe I was always later than I thought? Even when I got the positive opk, we were going away for a few days, and didnt get around to bding til the following night (and then then following ones....)

Anyways, the great news is I did a test this morning, and ... bfp!!! completely shell shocked and numb really. But surprisingly calm.

So wasabi and jools you're right, there really is a positive vibe on this thread.

Sparky BFP!!!!

WOW WOW WOW !!! Many Congratulations SimpleTwistofFate

What an incredible couple of days this thread is having

time for an A/N thread I think - the GFJ's ??

smileycat · 21/10/2008 12:29

Congratulations simpletwistoffate Wow 1st of many for this month I hope. Well I've def timed it right this month, thought I was Oving yesterday same as heeby but today have some mild cramps, lots of EWCM tmi & have been charting my cervix positon & todays its exactly what it should be HSO, so sooooo excited going to jump on DH soon as he gets in & maybe again tonight just to make sure. FF says I should be OVing tomorrow so sounds like they could have it spot on, although when you read up on their site it also says even if you time it right theres still only 20% chance on pg, but timing is everything & I have really good vibes about this month for us all

wasabipeanut · 21/10/2008 13:38

Wow well done smileycat [grin[ Hooooge congratulations!!

Lets hope all these bfp's are catching!

Ooooh I am so anxious to get cracking on the Bding. Wish AF would hurry up and bugger off. It never normally lasts this long.

whitebeachesandcoconutoil · 21/10/2008 13:50

lovelymonster i am so sorry for you and i know it's been said and done but i hope you will soon not feel so raw.
well what can i say i still have no af have done another test but still bfn so i wish if she were coming she would just blinkin well come so i could stop wondering am are'nt i.
i am late but i just am at a loss now.
it's so frustrating cos as we all know another takes us closer to high hopes only to have them dashed

wasabipeanut · 21/10/2008 14:01

Oh God I congratulated the wrong person. Congratulations Simpletwistoffate.

Hopefully smiley I'll be congratulating you soon!!

I am a moron - sorry

WanabeMum · 21/10/2008 14:04

Wow simple congratualtions!!!!!!!!!!!! this thread is so positive at the moment!

Heeby sounds like you're going to be the next BFP ??? (((fingers tightly crossed)))

Wasabi i feel like you, wish that i could hurry up with the BD-ing now so i can get my BFP. Only CD8 so hoping OV will hurry up!! (doubtful as didn't OV till CD21 last month!!)
