Hello

Can I join you lovely ladies too please

I am on cycle 3, CD2 today, after really starting to believe I'd done it last month

I understand far far more about what I'm doing now, thanks to all the advice on here, so armed with grapefruit juice and a newly acquired membership of Fertility Friend, I have a good feeling about the next few weeks

I haven't taken any tests apart yet, but am already a seasoned symptom spotter !!

nelix2000 · 22/08/2008 16:00

hiya jools....welcome!....I have decided not to do any tests....no OPKs no early pregnancy tests....I didnt need it with DS so I figure nature will tell me when its time and I will do it. I knwo my body inside out lol...as I had to look into how everything works in order to conveive my ds!

Nelix - you've started a proper group of us let's throw that baby dust about ..

I'm CD15 (eek!)

funtimewincies · 22/08/2008 19:42

Hello and welcome bubble and jools, it's best to just have vast quantities of nookie to be on the safe side, especially while dps are still keen and not yet jaded by constant demands and wails of 'but I'm ovuuuuuuuuuuulating' to put them off their stride .

Nelix - poor you, hope that you've had a large drink and managed to stop shaking!

Well, after yesterday's rant, I've put the thermometer away and decided to just go with the flow. I've sort of got an idea when I should be fertile (around our wedding anniversary ) and I know when AF should be due (13th September), but apart from that we're just going to calm down a bit this month. I've decided that it's not unreasonable to want to have nookie when I just feel like it .

(rolls around in the baby-dust for good measure)

Mylittlebubble · 22/08/2008 21:37

I'll have soome of that Baby dust for the next few days

Might be TMI but we did it every other day to concieve DD1 and it didn't take long! So hopefully fingers crossed. DH is well up for it, well he is a man and after weeks of non with a young baby about who can blame him!

AbstractMouse · 22/08/2008 23:39

Luck to all of you ladies, I started bleeding today so I guess I am truly CD1 now??

I am sticking here because you are all lovely.

Last cycle was just a nightmare, I truly do say from now on I am not testing until I am at least a week late lol.

AbstractMouse · 22/08/2008 23:48

Sorry about your ds btw nelix, what does your dp do in the medical profession?

For anyone who is interested in the whole conception lark, I concieved on the day of ovulation pain with 2 of 3 of my pregnancies.

With pregnancy 1, had ov pain about 2pm, dtd about 2am.

Pg2, not sure as dtd a couple of times within the month.

Pg 3, which ended in mc, dtd 12 hours after ov pain. Seems to be a pattern for me.

So just to say, it doesn't all seem to be about the pre-ovulation lark. I properly popped with both pg, and will go with it again. If I ever get Af that is lol.

nelix2000 · 23/08/2008 09:54

hello ladies! I have the outlaws saying this weekend so may not be on as much as I would like! please keep the thread going!

Heebychick · 23/08/2008 11:07

Hello ladies, how are we all, nelix sorry about your DS, have been there too, all the way down! it is awful and i was def more upset than DD but i felt awful watching her fall and nothing i could do! eek!

I have a bit of an update for everyone who remembers my heavy symptoms and no BFP saga! well i went back for my 2 week check at Dr (nice Dr this time) and she thinks i might actually have an ovarian cyst, so is sending me for a scan next week ... which would explain alot! she said to kee BDing though as it won't make any difference apparently, i think we should be OVing tues to thurs next week (if my new cycles are sticking at 26 days) so will be busy this weekend just in case!

Happy weekend everyone, xxx

Mylittlebubble · 23/08/2008 12:55

AbMouse - i'll take your advice on board as having ov pains today i think! DH is not gonna know whats hit him when he gets home today x

SparkyMalarky · 23/08/2008 18:00

Dammit Abstract - had ov pains yesterday (the stick was right!) and I had MIL staying and managed to have an argument with DH about being to tired to BD . Hope doing it before and after will be enough

Heeby - an answer at last (at least sort of one!) And it doesn't stop the BD-ing in the meantime!!

Potty training is good....so far!

Heebychick · 23/08/2008 18:39

sparky i had read that seeing as sperm can live for up to 7 days and they need a bit of time to make their journey, a day or so before is usually best! so you could of been spot on ... fingers crossed!

Yes i'll be pleased to get a scan done, i have symptoms again now (not much whilst AF was here) and have pains in my tummy as well as feeling light headed, sicky and sore boobs again ... this way i won't know the difference between PG symptoms and those i've had for months now! still might stop me testing early!!

abstract good luck BDing, get those legs on the wall after girl!

funtimewincies · 23/08/2008 19:26

Pleased to hear that you might be getting talk sense with someone now, Heeby and I hope that you told the nice doctor how pants his/her locum was!

Sparky - disappointed to hear that you weren't BD'ing at full volume for MIL's delectation . Sending some more dust your way.

Abstract - you could get a research grant for that!

SparkyMalarky · 24/08/2008 19:44

How is everyone? I just had a big moan on MC avengers which has me feel slightly better!!

nelix2000 · 25/08/2008 10:09

Hi everyone, thats me back!.....heeby so glad you are getting answers at last....you must feel somewhat relieved!.....
Grapefruit juice update.....CM is definatley more...if you follow so hoping it will produce more FM for when we do the insem. It only takes once!....plus I read that multiple insems only increase chances of conception bu 1-2% because if FM is not present, then the sperm will die anyway, due to acidity....god I know too much about CM for this time of day!!!...

makingafamily · 25/08/2008 18:18

nelix i read on another thread about something called preseed which makes our ladies places more swimmer friendly Needless to say i've ordered some

funtimewincies · 25/08/2008 19:30

No bad, thanks Sparky. I know exactly what you mean about dwelling on the 'this time now' of miscarriage. I had a mmc in January (found at a scan) and find myself thinking about what I would be doing if all had been well. I's nearly a year since I conceived that time and that's a really depressing milestone.

Sorry, I didn't mean that to turn into a grumble .

More wine needed. Top up anyone ?

funtimewincies · 25/08/2008 19:32

By the way, someone was talking about a list.

I'm on CD12 (oh hubbeeeee ), due to test on 13th September.

SparkyMalarky · 25/08/2008 20:03

I'll take that top up Funtime! And grumble away...

So, the list so far...

Funtime CD12, DTT 13 Sep
Sparky CD 18 AF due 5 Sep (so due to test anytime soon ...actually, not sure I'll bother after all that fuss I made last month! )

Makingafamily let us know if that stuff works (I saw that thread too...)

How's everyone else?

Mylittlebubble · 25/08/2008 20:12

CD15 AF 10th Sept - Add me to the list x

Heebychick · 25/08/2008 20:36

Hi, had to laugh about your CM knowledge nelix aren't we lucky to have mumsnet! can you imagine over dinner with your friends. hey did you know .... tee hee!

Well according to my recent cycles (and if eveything is working properly) i should be CD10 and AF due 10th Sept.

So yes if any one knows how to put a list together please do so and add me to it (not that i'm actively TTC and totally relaxed and not even thinking about it, no no not me)...

BTW have weird tummy pains today, and still feeling sicky, i'll be glad to get past all this and focus on something lovely. Even passed up on a homemade ice cream today!

Well i'm off to drink more grapefruit juice! Top me up on the wine front tho funtime (heeby pulls up a cushion to be an ear for any grumbles - lord knows she did enough last month!)

Jools1 · 25/08/2008 21:04

Funtime CD12, DTT 13 Sep
Sparky CD 18 AF due 5 Sep
MyLittleBubble CD15 AF due 10th Sept
Jools1 CD5, AF due 17/18 Sept

Never done one of these before - hope it looks OK Of course, the CD's will be out of date tomorrow, ...

Am quite enjoying not having to think about anything much TTC-related at the mo - just drinking the grapefruit juice, getting back to the gym and looking forward to a BD Fest next weekend

I hope everyone had a good bank hol

AbstractMouse · 25/08/2008 22:59

Can I be added, only CD4 mind, and who knows with this cycle)

nelix2000 · 26/08/2008 08:49

wow this is the biggest thread I ever started!!!!how exciting!

I have my donor provisionally booked for the 4th sept! lol.....Actually heeby it was he who told me all about FM etc before my son was conceived which then led to me doing my own research!

I read that thread makingafamily! was about to get some myself, informed my donor who put me off the idea. He said even if FM is in a small amount its all the sperm need, anything else is an added barrier for them to swim through. I figure I will try it this way this month and see! Grapefruit juice is totally doing its thing with reagrd to normal CM, I def have more production! is anyone else doing it???

Maybe we should make an AF due date list being that CD lists change daily!!
